                   STORY

     Early morning at Croft Manor the residents were already awake.
    Lara Croft, dressed up in her sports outfit, has just finished her warming-up training. Heading to the assault course outside, she went across a small room where Zip was sitting on a sofa with his laptop in his hands.
    'Hey Lara!'
    'Hello Zip.' Lara was opening the door of another room, when Zip said:
    'Lara! Do you know Kane Pawsner?'Arrival
    'I've heard of him. He's the archeologist, who has found an ancient temple in Mexico recently. Why?'
    'He sent you a video message a few minutes ago.'
    'Let's see it!'
   Shortly after, the picture of a handsome, brown-haired young man appeared on the screen of Zip's computer.
    'Good morning, Miss Croft. It's Kane Pawsner, archeologist. I know something you might be interested in. I'm sure you've heard about the legendary Crystal Skulls. These skulls have enormous powers and big knowledge one can hardly imagine. Well, I am searching for these skulls, trying to solve their secrets. I have to stay in Mexico for a while. I know the location of one of them, though. I have forwarded the coordinates to you. Are you interested?'
    'Here they are.' Zip said, showing the location to Lara.
    'China, the Valley of the Tigers. Sounds great.'
  And so she set off...

                   NEW MOVES

    Optional faster shimmy
        Lara's regular shimmy animations are still kept, but you can also shimmy faster whenever you wish! To do this, press the Sprint button while shimmying left or right and Lara will hurry up a bit. (The faster shimmy animation was made by GeckoKid.)

    Faster, improved animations
        Lara now climbs up faster (animation by GeckoKid), walks nicer (animation by bashar, fixed by Matie) and preforms a faster handstand while climbing up (animation by Matie).

    Using swingpoles (animations by Symsi)
        Press Forward to start swinging from a haging position. Continue pressing Forward to swing around the pole. Press Back to turn around and face the opposite direction. Press Alt to jump off.


                  IMPORTANT -  Notes, bugs

   This levelset can be played directly from the downloaded folder, after extracting it. You don't need to have the Level Editor or Level Manager installed.

         Technical Problems:

    In case you get a "Failed to setup DirectX" message when starting the game, change the resolution of the game with the Setup executable. Playing in windowed mode will probably help. (If you're having further problems, please contact us!)

   It might happen that after picking up an item Lara is not able to grab anything anymore. The solution is to reload an earlier savegame or restart the game and the problem will be gone.

         In the level Arrival:
- a few illegal slopes were kept to prevent players from getting to the "end of the world"
- you might experience some problems at triangualed faces in the water. Nearly all problematic triangles have been fixed now. At these triangles you cannot swim on the surface, but it was necessary to do in order to avoid an annoying bug.
- please don't try to get down at the waterfall without the motorboat, because you won't be able to continue! (you will have to load an earlier save if that happens)
- please don't drive to dry land with the motorboat or it will get stuck!
- if you cannot get out of the motorboat, drive to a place where the water is deeper or turn left/right until there will be deeper water next to Lara and then press either Page Up or Page Down.
- at the underwater trap the central smaller blades hurt Lara very easily if she's close to them, but still doesn't touch them. It can be annoying when you're going back to the surface, try to swim close to the walls and follow the movement of the blades.
The Anicent Monastery

         In the Ancient Monastery level:

- a few illegal slopes on the roofs were kept, because not doing so would have influenced the gameplay and level design
- the monks might behave strangely, sometimes they leave Lara alone, sometimes they follow her all the time, and also they might run against walls and objects or go outside, where they weren't supposed to go at all. One of them even walks a bit diagonally at certain places. Unfortunately it couldn't be fixed.
- a small tip for the ending: it's not just brainless shooting!

The following problem was noticed in both levels: if you throw the torch away without extinguishing it, flames might appear randomly anywhere in the level. This bug is probably connected to the size of the levels, it couldn't be prevented from happening.
