Ambrose Black of Shalebridge has been murdered! His burnt remains still smoulder in the estate grounds.
The police are conducting an investigation at Shalebridge and are questioning the six principle suspects, but they do not have the murder weapon, nor any useful forensics the investigation is not going well.
Ambrose was an old family friend of the Crofts and so Lara is keen to see his murderer brought to justice. Avoiding the police at all costs - she begins her own investigation at Shalebridge

Setup

Ensure the tomb4.exe supplied here is used to run the game - other .exe files and patches (trng) will fail to activate all the trep created triggers and cause other problems.
Widescreen is available so if required use the setup program to activate this by targeting the .exe provided here. (Or you can copy/paste this .exe into your existing trle folder - making any backups as needed).

Getting started

Since this is a stealth mission your only weapon is the crossbow with normal ammo, which you can pick up at the start - along with the lasersight. You should have more than enough ammo for your needs but it is finite so it would be ill-advised to allow this to run out in case you need it. The normal ammo is very powerful and will take down almost anything with a single shot, but if you kill a cop its game over immediately or shortly thereafter.

You have no flares at the start, but they would not work well in the mansion which is mainly composed of static objects. In darker areas, like the attic or church crypt, flares will be available and work normally.

The compass is a trep-fixed real compass. The red part with the N points to north. The top is the direction Lara is facing.

A hints pdf file is available in the main download, it replaces material that I could not get into a working diary system. Its not a walkthrough, the gameplay assumes you do refer to it.

Gameplay objectives

1/	You are here to investigate a murder - not to perpetrate more murders! Do not kill any investigating police officers. Avoid being noticed by any of them or you will be arrested and probably charged with the murder of Ambrose.

2/	a/	Identify the location of the crime.
	b/	Identify the murder weapon.
c/	Identify the murderer (proof required).
	d/	Ascertain the motive.**
**(optional - part of secrets challenge)

3/	Inform the police and let justice take its majestic course.

Bugs & Issues

Normally in trle objects have what is known as a soft collision that Laras animations ignore - it results in Lara running on the spot when confronted with an object.
This level features the trep-created hard collision that gives static objects the same qualities as room editor walls etc. With hard collision, collecting some pickup items can be a bit 'sticky'. Tip: Pickup the walkie-talkie from the nearby corner of the room. If Lara freezes picking up the dagger, wait until she unfreezes and try again from a different position.

Secrets (10)

In no particular order they are:
1/ Mrs. Peacock.
2/ Professor Plum.
3/ Miss. Scarlet.
4/ Colonel Mustard.
5/ The Reverend Green.
6/ Mrs. White.

The above secrets are small statuettes of the murder suspects. Each comes with a clue that will assist in your search for: The Expert Explorer:
7/ The Expert Explorer. The more of secrets 1 to 6 you get - the easier this is to find.
8/ The Expert Puzzler. A set of IQ-style puzzles. (Combine the Expert Puzzler with the Expert Explorer to get The Motive.)
9/ The Motive.
This is in the form of a data stick. When its contents are viewed another secret is recorded.
10/ Finding and testing all of the suspect murder weapons. (Note: You only need the actual murder weapon for your main investigation - once you have it you can ignore the others if you want, but if you find and test all of the weapons then this will be recorded as a secret found).
