||||||||||||| ABOUT ||||||||||||||

This level was made for friends on the french Tomb Raider community forum Captain Alban. The purpose was to make a
short race level in a classic TRII feel that everyone could be able to finish, even people who've never touched any
Tomb Raider game before. I hope that I have succeeded in this challenge as my previous levels were often criticized
for their inhuman difficulty. For everyone who's played my previous level 'Following the Balloons to Another Party',
this one can be considered as its epilogue and an apology for the resulting frustration of having played it. ^^

The level is intended to be played as a race. There are still some hidden things and exploration to make but a fast
player can hope to finish the level in less than 15 minutes, half an hour to find everything. Anyway the new game engine
allowed me to bring my building madness to other sizes and I hope you will enjoy the scenery. 


||||||||||||| RULES ||||||||||||||

Your goal is to reach the finish line as fast as you can. Each item collected will substract 5 seconds from the timer. If you
manage to find the secret (which should'nt be hard) 5 minutes will be substracted from the timer.

My personal time at timer is 3m 35s 9" with every item and secret collected.

Balloons are here only for decoration. Even if the first ones are disposed as slalom gates there's no penalty for crossing them
incorrectly. They might even be clues for the way to go!

Most of the cameras can be cut, even flyby, to allow speedrunners to go fast. Anyway, I recommand you to watch them the first time as they
generally give clues on what's happening.


I think that I managed to remove every experience breaking bugs and shortcuts but their might be other shortcuts and way to reach the
"end of the world". I consider these funny and I like speedrunning, so if you happen to find a way to break the level,
I see no problem. I consider a player can recognize when he's going away from where he's supposed to be.

One last thing... don't hesitate to explore or let Lara die in some places, there are small details worth to see. ^^


||||||||||||| SKIDOO |||||||||||||

Lara can get on and off the skidoo only by the right side for technical reason (she's superstitious). Control-wise use the action key to 
accelerate, the jump key to brake and the sprint key to activate turbo once you've put the nitro in the engine. To get off the skidoo must
be still and balanced and Lara must have room (on the right) to move. Use the jump and right keys at the same time.




|||||||||| INSTALLATION ||||||||||

Simply unzip the archive where you want to install the game keeping the folder structure. I recommand a folder in My Documents
to avoid troubles with UAC of latest Windows OS.

Launch the included setup and set the game to your convenience. For a better image quality, choose a 32 bits resolution and 32 bits RGBA 8888
as Texture Bit Depth. In the Render Options, activate Bilinear Filtering and Bump Mapping. If you encounter any problem with DirectX creation,
set the game as Windowed mode. This should solve the problem.

The game is preset to be played in english. If you'd like to have it in french follow these instructions :
- Delete ENGLISH.DAT from the root folder (where tomb4.exe is).
- Go in Script folder and copy FRENCH.dat from this folder to the root folder. This changes the game language.
- Go in data folder and rename uklogo.pak to uklogo_EN.pak then rename uklogo_FR to uklogo.pak. This will change the logo.
- Proceed the same way with Load.bmp in root folder. Rename Load_FR.bmp to Load.bmp to change the logo of loading screen.
