\b0\fs28 The story so far...\par
Lara's quest takes her across Japan in search of the gold of the Tokugawa Shogun,\par

\b0\fs16 (HINT 3 to be found inside game level.)\par
\fs22\par
\b\fs34 Tech-Head notes\par
\i\fs16 MUSIC\par
\b0\i0 From Tomb Raider 1,2,3 (Nathan McCree) plus some TR4 music.\par
\b\i SOUND\par
\b0\i0 From TR 2,3,4 . Added FX: Echo Footsteps, Lara voice, laughter, rain loop, clock & chime sounds\par
\b\i TEXTURES\par
\b0\i0 From TR1,2,3,4,5. Plus original textures, including Rain animation.\par
\b\i OBJECTS\par
\b0\i0 Edited from TR 2,3,4,5. Plus custom objects (Windows & Pushable Block) & Tokyo cityscape horizon.\par
\b\i KNOWN BUGS\par
\b0\i0 1 - Bad collision detection on TR5 Bench objects\par
2 - Collision detection on Pushable Block. Has been placed to minimize most problems with this custom object.\par
3 - Flare animation problem in Main Hall (overuse of fire animation slots). Throw flare on the ground for light to work.\par
4- The custom door objects from TR3 use the Pushable Object sound loop. This causes a sound cut out.\par
\b Software use\b0 d: TRLE, TRWEST, TR2WAD, STRPIX, TEXTURE BUILDER, PHOTOSHOP, FORGE, WAVELAB\par

\b\fs34 Design Notes\par
\fs16 The GRAND LODGE is a fictitious representation of the actual location in central Tokyo.\par
If you travel to Tokyo Tower you can find this building. It is next door. The actual architecture of the real lodge is\par
not gothic at all but is far more modern. That said, this level has parts based on truisms but mixed with ideas from\par
such things as Kubrick's EYE WIDES SHUT, H.P.Lovecraft's Necronomicon and Edgar Allen Poe.\par
What is interesting is that these buildings are rarely open to the public, and especially to women.\par
Enjoy the virtual tour. Beware the Dark Ones.\par
This level took around a month to complete. I wanted to carry on the idea that was started in Tomb Raider 3,\par
in the London Underground Aldwych level. Certainly architectural areas are quicker to build than organic ones.\par
In that time around 40-50 bugs appeared. I managed to remove all but one, thus I had to split the last part of this level\par
into a separate location. A error appears using Flipmaps which corrupts the play map. Meaning the enemy objects stop\par
functioning properly and sound loops appear in unwanted places. I still don't know what causes this.\par
I think the biggest problem with designing using the TRLE engine is that a gameplan or room design can be\par
destroyed by a simple bug or limitation in certain objects, causing a constant redrawing of ideas.\b0\f1\fs20\par
\par
\f2\fs16 Bug fixes:\par
- Too many different textures in your level will cause a sprite error. These sprite errors can cause a crashout.\par
- EVIL ERROR (the worst error you can get because you can keep saving in one session and never know that you are also saving a bug)\par
This is somehow caused when deleting rooms with objects and lights in them. Unsure.\par
Make sure you delete all the objects & lights before you delete a room.\par
- Some custom objects are not compatible with TRLE, especially from TR3. They will cause a crashout.\par
- Sometimes sound loops stop functioning. I have no idea why. A lot of recompiling helps.\par
\par
\f3\fs22 For first time users of Tomb Raider:\par
Lara can climb walls, and monkey climb ceilings. Jump, walk, crouch, dash, push/pull and pick up objects\par
Key assignments are customizable in the Options.\par
ESC Pauses and displays inventory\par
P Pauses and displays options\par
\par
\b\f2\fs18 FINAL NOTE \b0 Make sure you have VOLUMETRIX FX turned on or you will lose some nice effects in the Tomb of the\par
Knights Templar, The Gold Room and the Lair of the Dark Ones.\par
I spent sometime on creating atmosphere. Especially on making the outside views believable or to create the illusion of depth.\par
See if you can notice a smoking chimney stack in the distance.\par
The Secrets will lead you to different parts in the building. But avarice is sometimes dangerous for Lara.\par
The MAC version will be compatible as soon as Eidos Interactive release the software to run it.\par
\par
\b\fs16 Tomb Raider Tokyo is not endorsed by Core Design or Eidos Interactive.\par
So there.\par
