

After her previous trip to Thailand, 
Lara decides to go back to search for the so-called Crystal Lotus. 
She believes it is located in this one sinkhole, hidden somewhere deep in the Thailand jungles.


**** INSTALLATION ****
No installation required.
Simply unzip the downloaded folder and doubleclick the tomb4.exe to start the game.
When you start the game for the first time you'll get a message saying that there are JPG files in the Pix folder.
Click Okay and the included CONVERTER.exe will convert all images in the Pix folder to BMP format.
(I used JPG in the download to cut down on download size...)

This game uses FLEP patches which are important for the correct working of the game.
So please do use the tomb4.exe included in this download!

I've built and tested this game using a resolution of 1680x1050 (aspect ratio 16:10) and because of this, the load.bmp has the same size.
However, when played in other resolutions the load.bmp can look ugly. Feel free to adjust the sixe of it if it is bothering you. 

The game has been tested on WinXP, Win10. 


**** BUGS & OTHER ISSUES ****
- When you save the game while Lara is floating on the watersurface and you then load this savegame, 
Lara will fall down into the water. I have no idea whatsoever as to what causes this bug and I have not been able to 
find a workaround for it using scripting or something. 
I did have to alter some roomgeometry to avoid Lara being teleported onto a bridge-flat object when saving and loading
below that bridge-flat object. It caused a major shortcut in the level. 
It's no big deal really, just a bit odd.

- The game uses plugins. 
Installing "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package" might help if you are unable to run the game:

- The game has been tested in Win10 and on WinXP. 
The WinXP machine it was tested on made the game lag quite a bit. 
Also, the images from the SaveGamePanel and the PDA's were not visible on the XP machine. 
They worked however on my own 2003 XP PC and on my Win10 PC. 
Playing the game in Windowed Mode might help solve this issue. 

- The game might give you a black screen at some point. 
No idea what causes this and other players have also reported it happening in other recent TRNG based games. 
Save often so you can exit the frozen game using Alt + F4 or Task Manager and restart from a recent savegame. 
I have set my tomb4.exe to XP compatibility and this black screen hasn't happened to me since. 


**** NEW MOVES ****
All of Lara's new moves are also described in the "PDA - Notes" which you can access at all
times ingame by going into Lara's inventory. If you want to open the PDA on the first page of 
the New Moves chapter, press M when ingame. 

Not all of the below mentioned moves are part of this One Room Challenge level. 
But you will find them in my Mists of Avalon Part 2 game, once that is released. 

FASTER SURFACE SWIM
	Press SPRINT to make Lara swimmer faster when she is performing her default surface swim. 
	Once she has gone into the faster swim you can let go of SPRINT. This makes it easier to steer her around.
	Let go of ARROW UP to make her go back to her default surface swim.
	To prevent her head from going into a ledge, she will automatically stop swimming faster when she gets close to a ledge. 


LADDER MOVES
	- When swimming on the watersurface and when in front of a ladder on the wall, press ACTION and ARROW UP to make Lara grab the ladder. 


PARALLEL BARS
	Press CTRL in midair to make Lara grab the swingpole. 
	Lara can usually grab the entire length of the pole, unless there are objects attached to it. 
	So find the thinnest part of the pole and make Lara jump to that part.
	Keep pressing ARROW UP to make her start swinging around the moment she grabs the pole.
	If you also press jump right away, she will jump off right away with a short jump. For a much longer jump she needs to swing aroudn the pole at least once.
	If you don't press ARROW UP when Lara grabs the pole, she will hang still.

	When hanging still on pole
	-	Keep pressing CTRL, otherwise Lara will let go of the pole and fall down.
	-	ARROW UP: start swinging around.  
	-	END: Make a 180 degree turn.
 	-	ALT: Lara will pull up onto the pole and jump off it. 
		Press CTRL in midair to make Lara grab a ledge, another pole or a jumpswitch.

	When swinging around the pole
	-	Keep pressing CTRL, otherwise Lara will let go of the pole and jump off with a short jump.
	-	There's no need to keep pressing ARROW UP while swinging. 
		The swinging automatically continues untill you press ARROW DOWN or press one of the buttons described below.
	-	END: Make a 180 degree turn.
	-	ARROW DOWN: Lara will stop swinging and goes back to 'hanging still on pole'
	-	ALT: Lara will jump off the pole with a pretty long jump. 
		This jump takes Lara a bit further than the 'pull up and jump off' move.
		Again, when in midair press CTRL to make Lara grab a ledge, another pole or a jumpswitch.
	-	DUCK: Lara will land in kneeling position on top of the pole and she will then standup so she can use the pole as tightrope.

	(All parrallel bars animations are made by Titak, some were made by Symsi which were then edited by Titak to make them fit the rest of the animations)


VERTICAL CLIMBING POLE
	The vertical climbing pole moves set has been adapted to be similar to the one in TR Underworld.
	The poles are thicker and Lara uses different animations for climbing. 
	She also has a couple of new moves for the pole:
	-	Press JUMP to make Lara jump off the pole in FORWARD direction. Press ACTION in midair to grab stuff that's within reach.
	-	When reaching the bottom of a pole that is not attached to the floor, don't worry about suddenly falling down:
		Lara will automatically climb up a little bit when she reaches the bottom. 
	- 	When reaching the top of a pole keep pressing arrow up and Lara will climb onto the top and balance there. 
	-	When balancing on top of the pole, press DOWN ARROW to climb back down.
	-	When balancing on top of the pole, press JUMP to jump forwards to ledges, jumpwsitches, other poles, etc.
		When jumping and when within reach of the top of another pole, do *nothing* to make Lara jump onto the top of that pole.
		When you do press ACTION when getting near the top of another pole, Lara will either shoot past the pole or grab the top, 
		depending on her position in relation to the top.
	-	When balancing on top of the pole, press LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW, while still holding Action, to make Lara turn around. 
	
	(All parrallel bars animations are made by Evgeniy, 
	the jumping animations were edited by me to match my own grabbing in midair animations, and the climbing on top of the pole and
	one of the grabbing the top of the pole after a jump have also been edited by me.)


TIGHTROPE
	-	Press ACTION in front of a tightrope to get onto it. Keep pressing ACTION as long as Lara is still with her feet on the ground. 
		Once she is fully on the tightrope, with no floor at her feet, you have to let go of ACTION.

	When standing still
	-	ARROW UP: make Lara walk forwards.
	- 	JUMP: to make Lara jump forwards. 	 
		She won't land on the tightrope anymore so only perform this move when there's something Lara can jump to, like a ledge, another pole, jumpswitch, etc.
	- 	ROLL: to make Lara perform a 180 degree turn
	-	LEFT or RIGHT: to make Lara turn 90 degrees sideways so she ends up standing sideways on the tightrope.

	When standing sideways on the tightrope
		Lara won't lose balance when standing on the tightrope this way.
	- 	JUMP: make Lara jump forwards
	- 	ARROW DOWN: make Lara hop backwards so she falls off the tightrope.
		Press ACTION while falling down to make her grab the pole which she can then use as a PARALLEL BAR. 
	-	ARROW LEFT or RIGHT: Make Lara turn 90 degrees, back to her default "standing still on tightrope" animation.

	When walking
	-	Let go of ARROW UP to make her stop walking
	- 	JUMP while walking: make Lara jump forwards while walking.
		She won't land on the tightrope anymore so only perform this move when there's something Lara can jump to, like a ledge, another pole, jumpswitch, etc.
	- 	Sometimes it'll look like Lara will lose balance but she does not always really lose balance. 
		She only really loses balance when she stands still and starts leaning towards the left or right.
		When she does this, quickly press the oposite ARROW button to make her correct herself. 
		She'll fall down if you're not quick enough.

LEDGE JUMPS
	Lara can perform two different jumps when hanging still from a ledge: jump-upwards and jump-backwards

	jump-upwards
	-	Press ALT to make Lara jump up to a ledge or jumpswitch above her.
		If there is no ledge, or the ledge above is to far away for Lara to reach, she will 
		be able to grab the ledge she came from as long as you keep pressing CTRL.

	jump-backwards
	-	Press ARROW DOWN to make Lara pull up and jump faceforwards to a ledge behind her.
		If you press END while jumping, Lara will perform a flip in midair, so make sure there's 
		a flat surface to land on when making Lara do the flip.	
	

CRAWLSPACE MOVES
	rolling through crawlspace
	- 	Position Lara in a kneeling position and press SPRINT.	
		(Animation by Core Design)

	rolling out of crawlspace
	-	Position Lara face forward at the exit of the crawlspace. 
		Press JUMP to make Lara quickly roll out of the crawlspace.
		(TRC move: animation by Core Design)

	ladder to crawlspace
	-	Keep pressing ARROW UP when climbing on a wall ladder. 
		Lara will automatically go into the crawlspace in front of her.
		(TRC move: animation by Core Design)

	Lara can also get in and out of crawlspaces that are lower to the floor and the ledges in front of Lara are not up high enough
	for her to hang from. Press ACTION to squeeze into such a crawlspace and press JUMP to get out of such a crawlspace. 


MONKEYBARS	
	ladder to monkey	
	-	When Lara climbs up on a ladder on a wall, she can grab a monkeybar above her if there is one. 
		Simply keep pressing ARROW UP when Lara is underneath the monkeybars.

	180 degree turn
	-	Press END while hanging still to make Lara perform a 180 degree turn.
		It might take up to a second before the animation kicks in. This is some bug which I haven't been able to fix.

	monkeybars to overhead ladder
	-	when Lara reaches the edge of a monkeybars and when there's a ladder going up from there, 
		position her at the very end of the monkeybars, facing the end of the monkeybars. Then press JUMP to make her turn aroudn and grab the ladder. 

MISCELLANOUS
	Press ACTION when sliding forward off a slope and Lara will turn around and grab the ledge, as long as you keep ACTION pressed.
