					CPU Crash WALKTHROUGH
					+++++++++++++++++++++

A Strategy Guide - if you REALLY get stuck.

=================================================================================================

Introduction.
------------

So there you were - in Egypt, battling an angry horde of Demigods and Harpies. A regular
day at the office.
And then the computer crashed...

Now youve been chucked out of the corrupted game and are deposited into the bowls of
the CPU itself.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to repair the computer and create a
working interface that will get you back to the game. But in order to achieve all this you will
first have to increase the power of the CPU by drawing in processing power and additional
software from secondary systems.

Sounds tricky? It is - but itll make a whole lot more sense once you start exploring The
CPU.
A word of warning: those enemies you were fighting - theyre stuck in there with you.

SECRETS: There are three secrets - they are not required to complete the mission, but since they are the
Computer Bugs that caused the system to crash in the first place it might be a good idea to
find and remove each one of them so that this glitch does not occur next time you boot up a
game. Your call.

The start.
---------
You find yourself at the heart of the Central Processor - note its pulsing activity above your
head. Around you lie banks of Silicon and installed Code, but you will notice also that some
of the bays are vacant; these will ALL have to be filled if the computer is to be fixed and
you are to escape.
Ahead of you, (compass east), various corridors lead off from the main room; you can tackle these
in any order...

Area 1 (leading from Right Passage)
___________________________________

Pass beyond the blue door and make your way up through the translucent blocks (Pickup Revolver, ammo and
small health from this lower area) and up to the floating green blocks via the climbing surface at
the East end of this area.

Head back West and use the green blocks to gain access to the ceiling mounted
processor (climbable) via block with large health pack.
Climb around to the far side and drop to the jump switch. A camera shows you the area
that has been unblocked; but you still cannot reach this yet. First you must make your way
to the spiral in the opposite corner. When this spiral is activated the green blocks reconfigure and
allow access to the unblocked area.
Travel down the long corridor. Kill Demigod and Harpy.
(TIP: handled wrong this encounter is expensive on health. Retreat back to the large open area and use
the blocks for cover.)
Turnings to the right are blocked so carry on to the end and turn left. Eventually you return to the big
area again - but you are able to jump to a new set of blocks (to your right)...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SECRET#1 From the high entrance take a running jump to the block ahead and to your left;
continue over two more blocks to remove the first Computer Bug. Kill Harpy. Return to the
first block and take a running jump to the lower block in the corner.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...and activate the second spiral. This reconfigures the blocks ahead of you and allows
access to the third spiral in the high room. A camera shows you that the spiral
opened up a room in the long corridor. Make your way to the new room.

You have reached one of the CPUs secondary systems and from here you can collect
THREE items - 2xCPU Silicon and 1xSoftware Code. But first you will have to reset the
circuitry to allow you to grab the stuff. Stand on one of the central red squares and note the
active circuit ahead; when you jump off the square the circuit will re-set, (its 50-50 you get
the set-up you need so repeat this a few times if it reverts back to the starting format). When
the wall is black - collect your item.
Repeat for the other two pieces.
Avoid the live square - death trap.

When all pieces are collected you can leave this area via the second corridor to the right and
slide down the long shoot.

Return to the CPU.

Area 2 (leading from Left Passage)

You arrive at a Live area (L for Live). Some floor tiles are safe but watch out for those
green squares - they start off safe but end up dangerous. The key to the route through this
area is on the CEILING: the GREY squares tell you whats safe. Use the CLIMBABLE section of wall to
the right to reach (backflip from halfway up at the far end) a safe square.

Beyond this area is the black transparent maze - its not as hard as it first looks - just run
around (watch the Harpy - it seems to know its way) until you reach the taller section; this is
a climbable surface. Pickup explosive crossbow ammo from the maze.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SECRET#2 Viewing from the entrance of the maze: the extreme far left corner - there is a
black crawlway to the second bug - remove the bug.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make your way through to the larger room and use the circuit channel to climb up to the
higher level.
----------------
You are at another of the CPUs secondary systems. 4 items are available for pick-up:
1xCode, 2xCPU Silicon, 1xCrossbow.

...but first you must reconfigure this area to gain access to the stuff: deactivate the 4 spirals
that lie behind the 4 blue doors. Timed triggers for these doors are the small blocks - at
opposite corners to each door.

Viewing from the pick-up room:

Near-Right
-----------
The two green-topped blocks flip the translucent wall off and on - avoid these blocks, but use
the lower block to remove the wall if you already triggered it.
Use the grey climbable surface to the front right to gain access to the spiral via a backflip - deactivate
it. A nearby green square opens the blue door to exit.

Far-Right
----------
The 5 floor tiles open the door; stand on all 5. BUT - the open floor closes the door before
you reach it.
Once the door is open note the lowest wall tiles - they indicate the channel needed to reach
the door without it closing. (stay on 2nd left row)
Deactivate spiral. Trigger square to exit.

Near-Left
----------
Three green floor tiles open the right door. Two tiles are clearly visible on the floor, the third
is reached via an unmarked climb in the near-right corner. Crossbow ammo pickup.
Beyond the door - climb/backflip/swerve to left/repeat - to reach a monkey-swing. Swing
towards the green pad that opens the other door.
Deactivate the spiral, jump back down to the nearest door trigger.

Far-Left
--------
The light green floor pads open two of the doors but they are of no practical use. The
darker green tiles in front of the doors and another darker green tile in this room (you find it)
open the left door (the only door that stays open).
deactivate the spiral. Trigger square to exit.

------------------------------
With 4 spirals deactivated, the CPUs secondary system reconfigures and the 4 pick-ups
can be picked up. Use the black corridor opposite to return to the CPU.
Kill 2 Demigods.

Area 3 (leading from Far Passage)
---------------------------------

Head down the corridor and pass through the blue door ahead. Enter the large multileveled
area. Note: brown corrugated surfaces are climbable/monkey swing. Most doors are timed.
Climb up to the top of the first set of blocks and make your way around to the first monkey
swing. Swing/drop twice at the end/shimmy to left and around corner. Climb/running
jump/second monkey swing.
Climb block to higher level.
Use BOTH sloping red pads to open 2 doors. Run/jump to pass through.
Climb to higher level.
Use nearest red tile to open door. Run/jump through door. Once through this door it stays
open - you will pass through here one more time.
Climb to higher level...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SECRET#3. In the opposite direction to the blue door is a higher block which can be
reached via a jump/grab. Above, on the wall, is a black crawlway; jump/climb to reach.
Remove final bug. If you have found all three secrets the system should now be bug free and
this problem should not arise in the future. Well done!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...and jump to climbable block. Stay low and move to right. Back-flip/mid-air twist/grab to
facing climbable block. Climb to top of this block to open door on far wall (this door is
NOT timed - as you are not yet ready to reach it).
Drop down other side of block and turn left; head towards monkey swing and swing
towards the remaining red floor pad; this opens the door one level up. Run jump/dive/run
etc to reach door before it closes. (You have 32 seconds for this door - that's plenty - if
you don't stop to tie your boot laces.)
Climb up to top level, and drop to reach the last door (the one you opened earlier) - pass
through into next room.

Head up grey/green corridor until you reach the top of a clear shoot. A good place to save
your game.
Slide down passing over 4 green triggers to the grey door at ground level.
(take a central position or you may fall off!)
slide down to the bottom, land on small green block - in time to see grey door open.

Pass through and reach the last of the CPUs secondary systems.
The 2 pick-ups: (1xCPU Silicon 1xCode).
Invisible doors block access to the pick-ups, so activate the 2 spirals to open the doors.

Return to CPU via the other corridor.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You have now collected the 8 items you need to enhance the CPU and get you back to the
game.
Firstly you need to apply the code to create a working games interface.
When the 3 Code items are placed, a nearby door opens and you can collect a
now-functioning CPU/Game Interface.
Pull pulley to raise block in-front of one CPU Silicon receptor.

Place CPU silicon to trigger another raising block. ... and repeat for 5 pieces/raising blocks

When all Silicon is placed a flyby camera shows you the effect - the enhancement you have
delivered to the CPU.

Use the newly formed blocks to traverse new area; the green area above is climbable.
Climb up and move to right wall. Climb out the top.

Place the CPU/Game Interface in its receptor and return to your Egyptian Tomb Raider
Game.

You are back where you belong!

					THE END.
