			____________________

Lara is off on another Adventure after receiving a map with directions to the secret entrance of a
tomb, located on a small isle in the Aegean Sea along with a small history on Agamemnon and this
letter;

Miss Croft,
On hearing of your love for Tomb Raiding and regaining lost treasure and artefacts of
priceless, not to mention great historical value, I felt compelled to offer you another such quest.

According to my research I believe that along with Agamemnon was entombed several great
Artefacts as well as a Kings Ransome in Jewels and precious metals. Now Miss Croft The treasure
holds no interest to me but the Artefacts do.

So I propose this, that if you can pass the God Apollos challenge and gain access to Agamemnon's
vault, you keep the Kings Treasure Miss Croft and I for my assistance logistically and the fact,
it was my Discovery get to keep the Artefacts.

You are probably wondering who am I, what are the Artefacts and why I was foolish enough to
enclose details on the location of this discovery, well  let me explain;

I am an elderly man who unfortunately could not pass the test personally, and on hearing of your
deeds and honour saw no risk in divulging the whereabouts of this find to you, as I don't think
you are the murderous deceiving kind. As I said You are free to take everything except the three
artefacts which happen to be the Original Works of Homer's Odyssey and Iliad Preserved in a
airtight Scroll cases as well as a tool to use in the opening of the scroll case. It was said to be put
there by one of Homers Apprentices in Honour of the Great King Almost 500 years after the
Trojan War

Can you imagine Miss Croft, being the first person to see these writings in their original form?
after 3 Millennia, that will be reward enough for me, not to mention that I allready own several
Diamond and Gold mines in Africa to keep me in riches for a long time. As for my trusting nature,
the fact that I own and live on the Island where the Sepulchre of Agamemnon is located, should
allow me to keep an eye on things (there is only one Entrance and Exit to the Tomb)

With that out of the way I look forward to meeting you at my Chalet on the Isle of the Dead. Your
Transport has been organised Miss Croft via my private jet. It will take you to Athens then you will
be chauffeured to a waiting sea-plane that will bring you to my Island. All you have to do is go to
Hanger 18 at the Airport. Bon Voyage Miss Croft

Yours sincerely
Count Velerio

Agamemnon, King of the Mycenae, made famous when Homer wrote his epic Saga's Odyssey and
Iliad based on the Trojan War.

King Menelaus of Sparta who was Agamemnon's brother came to the Mycenae King after the
Trojan envoy Paris had stolen The wife of Menelaus. Helen, along with other great Treasures
and then fled home to Troy.

On hearing of this crime Agamemnon rallied a Coalition force from all of the independent nations
of Hellas, reminding them of the Oath of Tyndareus ,which bound them to support Menelaus if
ever his marriage with Helen were threatened.

So a large Army and war-ships gathered in Aulis, a Boeotian harbour opposite the island of
Euboea, in order to sail to Troy and have Helen and the property restored, either through
negotiation or by force. However, the mighty fleet could not sail because of the winds, and
as impatience grew in the army, the seer Calchas found the remedy to this inconvenience.
He declared that they would be able to sail only if Agamemnon sacrificed his daughter
Iphigenia to Artemis, and if he did, they would also take the city of Troy, but if he did not,
they would neither sail nor sack the city.

Agamemnon is said to have thought of disbanding the army; for even if the ruler could accept
the price, the father could not. But Menelaus, eager to be avenged and to have his own wife
and property restored, persuaded him to become the murderer of his own daughter. So Agamemnon
sent a deceitful letter to Clytaemnestra and their child asking them to come and join him in
Aulis, where Iphigenia, he said, was going to be given in marriage to Achilles, who himself was
not aware of the way the king was using his name; for the lie was only known by Agamemnon,
Menelaus, Calchas and Odysseus.

So Lured by the ruse of a wedding, Iphigenia and her mother Clytaemnestra travelled to Aulis.
Iphigenia was sacrificed and, if Calchas the seer is to be believed, the fleet could sail from
Aulis to Troy thanks to that deed. But Clytaemnestra was never to forgive her husband.

After 10 years of Bloody Battle Troy Finally is defeated after they accept a large wooden horse
as a gift, After being taken inside the walls of Troy and admired by the Trojans as a great gift
and possible piece offering. It is left unguarded. Under the cover of darkness a small force emerges
from within the confines of the wooden horse, un harried they make a quick assault on the front
Gates. After their Victory the gates of Troy were opened to the Armies of Agamemnon.

On victory and Cassandra was awarded to Agamemnon, who brought her as a concubine to
Mycenae. But on his return, he and his new concubine were murdered by Aegisthus and
Clytaemnestra after being lured to a dinner party under the guise of a victory Dinner. Clytaemnestra
Had finally had her revenge over Agamemnon's sacrifice of his daughter and infidelity.

After being unceremoniously Dumped over a cliff the Hero Agamemnon disappears, thought to have been
taken away by Apollo and given a buriel more fitting a Hero in an unknown hillside Tomb on the
Isle of the Dead.
