Dark Catachan - Underground A

This is my first published level, and I have put alot of effort into it so I hope you enjoy
it. Special thanks go to Chronicles5, Mannzutier and D.T (who has a very good and fun TR1-style
level in the works. The demo may be up for download now. Look for 'City of Khamoon revisited')
for pursuading me to keep going and for giving me inspiration. Very special thanks go to Dan The Jazzman,
who has kindly helped me through some troubled times/irritating bugs, and for ideas. If not for
him, this level would probably not have made it. Be sure to play Legacy of Domino by him. The
hearbeat soundtrack in that level is the very same one he kindly let me use for this.
Additional thanks go to Justin who helped me sort out a few bugs towards
the end of the level's production, and Alli for being an Alli.

Well, here's the story. It's not too good but it's the level you want, not a long boring text.
Read and weep.

"So nothing has been left?" Lara Croft asked, with a small trace of irritance in her voice.
"Nothing ma'm." The young man said, his amercian accent contrasting with the upper-class
english tone of the woman he spoke to. He wore a red and grey uniform with the logo of
'Pro Removal' printed on his top. "After Ms Natla went missing, her dudes packed everything
up and cleared off."
"Do you have any idea where?"
"Not a thought, ma'm."
Lara walked past the man, not bothering to thank him or say farewell.

After two hours, Lara had found nothing. She had searched every abandoned room, looked behind every desk
that had yet to be removed, shone her torchlight through every dark crack. Yet, as she reached
the uppermost office of Natla herself, it was as bare as the rest, aside from a desk. She sat
down and checked the draws. Nothing. She slammed her fist on the table in frustration. To her
utmost surprise, her hand went straight through it. She looked at the hole she had made- there was a secret
compartment and saw a small sheet of paper with a website adress on it.

Back home and logged on, and pointed her browser to the web adress, using a customised firewall
to block her IP. The website was completely blank, except for some numbers.

Lara Croft recognised these numbers. Rumors had it of a secret research station in Mexico, and although
the area had been searched many times, nothing had been found.
"Natla was sly." Lara said to herself. The numbers on the website nearly matched the co-ordinates
of that area. Normally, she wouldn't have taken notice of such a thing, but the fact that someone
had been hiding the same numbers in Natla's office made a big difference. It could just be a
co-incidence, she told herself, more likely than not. But she knew that if any of the lost horrors
of Atlantis were being studied, or even reporduced, the world would be in trouble. She shuddered at the thought
of another Scion in the wrong hands. She couldn't take that risk.

Lara reached Mexico by night, and after finding the given co-ordinates, her way was
blocked by a large cliff. But she had ways- she produced a grappling hook from her pack and fired.
It was a hard climb, but she managed it. What lay before her was not what she had expected.
A long way down was a loading bay, many crates strewn across the ground, with a large metal
'A' on one wall. A small beam of light was visible from the bottom of the 'pit'.
"Laser Cloaking," Lara said to herself. "That must explain why this place isn't shown on radar."
She used her grappling hook to lower herself down.
