NOTE: General look of Lara's home is the same as in the
classic manor. All the players know it quite well. That's why this is not a
classic walkthru. I didn't describe many reference points, which, if it was a
"standard" walkthru, would be used to help you find the way through
the level. As long as everybody knows where is the kitchen or the bathroom -
this way of writing isn't necessary. Of course, you'll find a reference point
anyway in every place where the author has changed something important. So
don't worry.
You start in the entrance hall.
GROUND FLOOR
There are some doors leading from the kitchen directly to the dining room and
from the dining room to the gym. This route works in both directions.
1. Kitchen
Pull the lever to enter the freezer. Nothing there.
2. Dining room
Pull the lever at the far end to hear some music.
3. Gym
Follow the instructions Lara's voice gives you.
4. Swimming pool.
Follow the instructions Lara's voice gives you.
THE EXTERIOR
1. The assault course:
Getting to the end of it opens the door leading from the kitchen to the
exterior (a portal which is used so rarely that even if I found and used the
trigger, I didn't notice it opens something).
2. The maze:
A = ahead
L = left
R = right
a) The Hand Of Sirius route:
When the path splits in three, go A, then on the next junctions R, R, A, L, L,
R.
b) The Hand Of Orion route:
When the path splits in three, go L, then A, R, R and when you fall into the
pit, stick close to the right wall.
SECRET CATACOMB
Place both Hands in the receptacles located behind the open door on the left of
the main entrance. Now go through the door on the opposite side of the room.
Picking up four items: Binoculars, Revolver, Crossbow and Shotgun opens the
right door on the N. Go through it and kill 4 ninjas. Pull the lever on the
other side of the catacomb, get back to the previous side and climb the ladder
leading to the exit. Get back to the main hall again.
1ST FLOOR
1. Southern part:
Pull the lever switch in the bedroom. Find some flares in the lockup. There's
nothing in the bathroom.
2. Western part:
Get closer to the door leading to the attic. It opens and lets you in. There's
a window you can exit through. Nothing more.
3. Northern part:
There isn't anything in the music room, but you can climb the fireplace in the
library. You don't need to extinguish the fire (and you can't do it at all).
Just keep yourself in the very left corner of the chimney for Lara not to get
burn. Climb up to the other part of the attic, collect some flares from behind
the block and notice a marked square. Enter it and do the timed run.
TIMED RUN
Calculate the first jumps to save your time. In the chimney part, take a run up
and fall down holding a control to land on the far corner of the fireplace.
Roll immediately and jump backwards, rolling in midair. Now hold down sprint
and you should manage to get to the door leading to the aquarium before it
shuts.
AQUARIUM
The door closes behind you and you're trapped in. Pick up some flares and get
on the top of the raised block in the next room. Jump up from there to grab the
shelf above you and pull up into the passage leading to the aquarium. Swim
around and get out of the water in the same place you dived. The way out of the
cellar is locked, so finish the adventure leaving Lara in the basement. Don't
worry about her - now it's Winston's problem to set her free.
