This level uses some new moves that the author says nothing about.
Move #1:
Use CTRL and ALT to jump up and grab a crevice or crawl space above you.
Move #2:
Use CTRL and DOWN ARROW to turn around and jump to grab a ledge or a crevice
that is behind you. Just tap the DOWN ARROW. Do not hold the key down or Lara
gets stuck.
Move #3:
Use ALT only to roll forward out of a crawl space. I did not use it.
You
should save often as these moves can get Lara in a bad state where she cannot
move and you need to reload and try gain. [End note]

There is a problem with saves and reloads with doors in some rooms. The door is
opened when an enemy dies. If you save and reload in that room, the door closes
and cannot be re-opened. Save before the enemy is dead or after you are through
the door. [End note2]
You start by falling down a deep shaft and land in
a water hole. Swim east and pull up onto the top of a slope. Immediately jump
forward to grab a climbable wall. Climb up and go to the end of the tunnel for
a small medipack. Return to the entrance and
jump west to grab a climbable wall. Climb up and back flip into a tunnel. Go to
the end for secret #1 and revolver ammo. Now drop onto the initial slope and
slide down. Ignore the key on the floor and run east and jump over a trap door.
A rolling rock follows you and drops into the hole. Now return to pick up the Centaur's Key. Go east and use the Centaur's Key in
the key lock. Turn around and go west and a trap door opens in front of you in
the floor.
Carefully hop backwards into the hole. I do not
know why, but Lara died when I grabbed the trap door edge. You slide down into
a room with a closed door and two key locks. Go to the east wall and use CTRL and
UP ARROW to grab the crevice. Then use CTRL and ALT to jump up and grab the
next two crevices above. Do not use the UP ARROW or Lara ends up in the wall.
At the top crevice, shimmy to the right and drop onto the ledge. Run and jump
to grab the crevice in the north wall. Shimmy to the left and use CTRL and ALT
to grab the crawl space above you. Crawl in and pick up the Rusty Key. Hang onto the edge and use CTRL and ALT to
grab the crevice above you. Shimmy to the right and use CTRL and ALT to grab
the crawl space above you. Pull up into the crawl space. Follow the crawl space
around and drop onto a ledge. You get a flyby of the shaft you are climbing.
Jump and grab the crevice in the south wall. Use
CTRL and ALT to grab the crevice above you. Shimmy to the left and release to
grab the crevice below you. Shimmy to the left and around the corner to the end
of the crevice. Get near the wall and use CTRL and ALT to grab the crevice
above you. Shimmy to the left and around the corner. Shimmy to the end and use CTRL
and ALT to grab the crevice above you. Use CTRL and tap the DOWN ARROW to turn
around and jump to grab the ledge behind you. Pull up onto the ledge.
Run and jump to land on the south-east corner
ledge. Use CTRL and ALT to grab the next two crevices above you. Shimmy to the
left and around the corner. Use CTRL and ALT to grab the next three crevices
above you. Shimmy to the right and around the corner. Shimmy to the right to
the end of the crevice and use CTRL and ALT to jump into a tunnel above you. Go
up the short ramp and pick up the Rusty Key off
the floor. Now you have to get to the floor.
Slow way: Follow the crevices in the reverse order.
You lose no health.
Fast way: Grab the tunnel edge and shimmy to the
left. Release and drop onto the ledge below. Stand in the middle of the ledge
and stand jump to the north-west. Use CTRL and you should glide down to land on
the lower ledge on the west wall. Run and jump to the south-east to land on the
corner ledge. Safety drop to the floor. You will lose about 2/3 of your health.
Use the two keys in the key locks to open the door
in the south wall. Enter the door and then run out into the room to avoid a
rolling rock. Enter the door again and go up the slope. Climb up into the upper
tunnel. Go through the tunnel and avoid the eight teeth doors. At the end, push
a moveable block into a room. Shoot a lion and a
rat. Go into the south-east corner alcove and
jump up to grab the ceiling. Monkey swing to the end and release to grab the
top of a slope. Pull up, slide down a little, and jump forward to grab a
climbable wall. Shimmy to the left around the corner. Release, slide down a
slope a little and back flip onto a block. Turn around and use CTRL and ALT to
grab the three crevices above you. Use CTRL and tap the DOWN ARROW to turn and
jump to grab the climbable wall behind you. Climb the wall and pull into a
short tunnel. Pick up the shotgun from the
floor in front of you.
Try not to save in the next two rooms after the
doors are open. If you reload after a door is open, the door will close and
cannot be opened again. There is no reset since they seem to be triggered by
the death of the centaurs. Or save before you kill them.
Drop down into the next room and shoot a centaur. The door opens in the west wall corner. Enter
the next room and the door closes behind you. Shoot a centaur
and a rat. Step on the two plain floor tiles and
the tall door opens in the west wall corner. Enter the new corridor to pick up
a flare and a torch.
There seems to be a grenade that cannot be picked up. Return to the room and
light the torch on the brazier with the fire. Enter the corridor again and
light the wall torch to open the door at the west end. You can save the game
now since reloads will work fine.
Enter the next dark room and the door closes behind
you. Just inside the room are three braziers. One to the left, one to the
right, and one in front of you. Light the three braziers. Go south to light a
wall torch. Go south again and pick up the Centaur’s
Key off the floor. Continue south and follow the wall to the west. Light a wall torch in the south-west corner
and see a key lock.
Go north and light a wall torch. You bump into an
invisible block. Stand jump onto the block and light a high wall torch. Drop
down to the north and light another wall torch. You see another key lock. Go to
the corner and go east. Light the two wall torches on either side of a closed
door. You hear a centaur. Go east and then north and find a key lock. Continue
back to the entrance door. Shoot three rats near
the door. I looked back at the closed door to the north-west. There seemed to
be two rats attacking a centaur. You can see the blood splatter. This was
probably just an accident. You really have to shoot the two rats and the centaur near the
door.
When they are dead, go to the closed door. Run from
the closed door diagonally towards the highest wall torch on the invisible
block. About halfway between the two points, you should find a Rusty Key on the floor. Go to the dark middle of the
room. Light four braziers and pick up another Rusty
Key off the floor. You have to crouch down and crawl among the braziers
to pick up the key.
Go east and use a Rusty Key in the key lock on the
east wall to the left of the entrance door. Go west and use a Rusty Key in the
key lock on the west wall to the right of the wall torch. Go to the south-west
corner and use the Centaur’s Key in the key lock on the south wall. Shoot a lion and enter the open door in the middle of the
north wall. Go to the end of the tunnel and light the wall torch to open the
door.
You enter another room to climb. Go to the
south-west corner and grab the crevice. Use CTRL and ALT to reach the higher
crevice. Shimmy to the right and use CTRL and ALT to reach the higher crevice.
Shimmy to the right and use CTRL and tap the DOWN ARROW to turn and jump to
grab the ledge behind you. Pull up to the ledge. Use CTRL and ALT to reach the
three higher ledges on the north wall. Shimmy to the left and pull up into a
crawl space. Follow the crawl space tunnel to the end.
Enter a room with four centaur statues and a closed
door at the west wall. Pick up a large medipack
near your feet. Go to the west wall and pull down a wall switch. Turn and shoot
the four centaurs that have come to life. Run
over the four tiles in the corners of the room and the door in the west wall
opens. Enter the door and save the game. If you go back into the room, the door
closes and cannot be opened again. Slide down a slope and jump over the trap
door and the pit. Follow the right corridor to pick up a torch. Follow the left corridor to find a fire. Light
the torch and return to the entrance. Light the two wall torches near the pit
to raise the trap door in the pit. Jump into the hole and pull down the wall
switch. Climb back out and the door opens in the west wall.
Take the torch and enter the next dark room. Light
the four braziers. There is one brazier in each corner. Pick up the Centaur's Key and Uzi ammo
from the floor in the center of the room. Use the Centaur's Key in the key lock
at the north wall to open the door. Sprint through the tunnel to avoid the
spikes. At the end of the tunnel, light the wall torch to open the next door.
You enter a room with six moveable blocks.
In front of you are block #1 on the left and block
#2 on the right. Side jump over the door to the left. Pull back block #3 to the
north back once. Side jump back over the door. Push the right block #2 two
times to the north. Go west and push block #3 into the south-west corner. Push
block #2 into the south-east corner. Face north and you should see three
blocks. Block #4 on the left, block #5 in the middle, and block #2 to the
right. Now push block #4 north once. Pull back block #5 and move it in front of
block #3 in the south-west. Face north and see block #4 to the left, block #6
in the middle, and block #2 to the right. Pull back block #6 twice and push it
aside to reveal a tunnel. Bring the torch just in case you need it.
Enter a large room with a closed door in the north
wall. Go to the south-west corner and climb the wall. Pull up, back flip, and
roll to grab the ledge behind you. Pull up and go up the ramp to the top. Grab
the ceiling and monkey swing to the column at the middle of the south wall. Run
and jump the columns to the west to get into the corner tunnel. Follow the
tunnel to the end and pull down the wall switch. Exit the tunnel and slide back
down into the room. Climb and monkey swing as before to get back to the middle
column at the south wall. Columns have been raised so that you can now go east.
Slide down a slope and run and jump the next two
columns. Climb the dark wall and pull up into the dark tunnel and slide down a
slope. Pull down the wall switch and a door opens beside you. Pick up a torch off the floor and light the torch on the lit
wall torch. Take the torch and enter the dark room. The door closes behind you.
Search the floor of the room very carefully and you should find three pistol ammo on the floor. Pick up the three
items and the entrance door opens again. Go there and see that the slope has
changed to blocks. Take the torch and stand jump up the blocks. Drop into the
room and enter the open door in the north wall.
Pick up the torch and go down the tunnel and watch
out for the teeth doors. At the end, light the wall torch to open the next
door. Enter the room and shoot a crocodile to
open the door in the north wall. Do not save and reload in his room. The door
will close and cannot be re-opened. Enter the next room. Stand jump onto the
block in the south-east corner. Stand jump the columns to the north and into a
north wall tunnel. Run and jump to the west to grab the ceiling. Monkey swing
to the end and release to drop onto the floor. Climb the wall behind you and
pull up onto a slope. Back flip onto a slope and jump forward to grab a
climbable wall. Shimmy to the left and around the corner. Shimmy to the end and
release. You slide down a slope and land in a room with more climbable
crevices. [Note] This idea is getting tiresome. You should
know how the moves work. You have had a lot of practice. [End note]
Jump and grab the crevice in the west wall. Use
CTRL and ALT to grab the crevice above you. Shimmy to the right around two
corners. Use CTRL and ALT to grab the crevice above you. Shimmy to the right to
drop onto a ledge. Run and jump to grab
the crevice on the west wall. Use CTRL and ALT to get up into the higher
tunnel. Follow the tunnel around to a ledge. Jump up to grab a block above you.
Pull up to the block. Jump to grab the crevice on the west wall. Shimmy to the
left and use CTRL and ALT to grab the crevice above you. Shimmy to the left and
use CTRL and ALT to grab the crevice above you. Shimmy to the left and use CTRL
and ALT to grab the next three crevices above you. Pull up into a large room.
There is a spinning device in the center of the room. Pick up the Amulet of Horus from the device and the door opens in
the north-west corner. Enter the open door and the level ends.
