The game starts with a very exciting full motion
video of the game action.
Level 1:
Caves
You start the level with a flyby. You are standing
in a cave and in front of closed doors. Run south and crawl under the poison
darts. If they hit you, you are poisoned until you use a medipack. Shoot two wolves that attack from the south. Continue south
and turn east at the corner. Look up to the south and see a large cave. Ignore
it for now and continue east to the east wall. Back flip onto a slope and shoot
blue crystals in an upper opening. Then back flip onto the slope and jump
forward to grab the ledge. Pull up into a small cave and pick up flares. Shoot all blue crystals. Some will shatter
and reveal something. Return and now pull up into that south cave.
Continue south to a spike pit and shoot three bats. Go west and enter another large cave. Go
to the south-west corner and pull up into another cave at the south wall. You
get secret #1. The secret sound is different
that usual. Go south and pick up a small medipack.
Go to the south-west corner and shoot the blue crystal to get a shotgun. Get down and return east and south to the
spike pit. You need to do a hard run and jump to the east wall. Aim for about
the middle of the first section (tile) of the upper east ledge. Grab it and
shimmy to the left. Shimmy around the corner and release to drop on the other
side of the spike pit. This was a very hard and frustrating jump and grab.
Continue south and then go west down a slope. You
overlook a large cavern. Go down the slopes and generally go to the north-west
to the green area on the floor. Drop though the green floor and follow a tunnel
to the west. Go to the end of the tunnel and pull down a wall switch to open a
door. Enter a large icy room. Shoot a bat as you
run up the hill in the north-west corner. Pull up into a higher cave. Just
follow the cave and shoot a bat. You emerge on a
ledge overlooking a pit with two bridges.
Shoot the three wolves
on the pit floor. You can hang from the ledge to lure them close. Safety drop
into the pit and pull up onto the first bridge. Go to the left around to the
second bridge. Do not cross yet, but push a block on the ledge near the bridge
to the west for two tiles. Now cross the bridge and go left and through an open
door. The center bridge sections will break under your feet. Go the west wall
and turn to your right to find a small medipack.
Then go south over the broken stone bridge to a pit. Run around the edge of the
pit and shoot the bear in the pit.
Safety drop into the pit. Go to the left of the
center south column and find revolver ammo.
Exit into the tunnel in the north-east corner. Go east and a door opens as you
approach. You are in the bottom of the pit with the bridges. Pull up to the
bridge and return back to the open door in the upper west wall. This time, jump
over the pit and continue south into a building. Go behind the column on the
south-west ledge to find red shotgun shells. Go
down the steps and through the doorway at the bottom and the camera view
changes. Run to the left to avoid a rolling rock behind you in the doorway.
Turn around and shoot two wolves.
Go down the steps to the south wall area. Run and
jump to land on a ledge to the south-east. Run through the green south wall and
down some steps. You get secret #2. Pick up Uzi ammo and red shotgun
shells off the two pedestals. Return to the ledge and safety drop to the
floor. Go to the north-west and search under the ledge for a small medipack on the floor. You can see two large
closed doors to the south-east. Go up onto the north-east ledges and save the
game in front of a timed wall switch. Pull down the wall switch. Step to the
left once and then turn to the left. Stand jump forward onto a low ledge. Run
and jump with no grab and you should land on the ledge with the open doors. Run
through the doors and stop as the doors closed behind you.
Carefully go up the steps and avoid the wall darts
if you can. I just ran through them and used a medipack. Enter a small room and
shoot a wolf. Drop through a hole and shoot two wolves. Go north and east to jump over the trench
and onto the opposite ledge. Shoot three wolves
and go south. Enter the small room in the south-east corner. Pull down the wall
switch on the west wall. Get out and slide down into the trench. Run through
the doors in the south wall and the level changes.
You get a display of statistics. Hit the ESC key to
load the next level.
Level 2:
Way to the Lost Valley
You drop into a pool of
water swim east and pull up in front of a closed door. Dive into the water and
swim down and west through an underwater tunnel. At the end, swim up and
surface. Pull up into a large outside area and shoot three
small dinosaurs. You can see a large area to the far south for later.
There is a building with a closed gate to the south-west. . There is a building
with a closed gate to the west. There are steps to the north-west. There is a
temple to the north.
Go north to the temple and go to the north-east
corner of the second ledge. Run and jump onto a ledge to the south. As you go
south, Lara looks at the building to the west. Use the pistols and jump up and
down to shoot the gong at the top section of that building. The gate at the
bottom will open. Run and jump to another south ledge and pick up a small medipack. Safety drop to the ground. Go west
into the building. Enter the building and get a flyby of the interior.
Go to the north small hut to the left and push in
to the block as far as possible. Pick up flares
from the corner of the room. A native will leave
the hut. Save the game. I just followed him for a while. He does not attack
Lara but just looks at her. Follow the native outside and to the far south and two raptors appear. The raptors attack the native but
leave Lara alone unless Lara shoots at them. Reload the game and shoot the
native if you want. Enter the south small hut and another native walks out. Pick up a shotgun
from the platform in front of the fire. Exit the hut and go west in a short
tunnel. Shoot the pot in front of the skeleton on the wall and pick up a small medipack.
Now go back to the south-east corner of the
building and see a sloped column. Grab the slope, pull up and back flip onto
the roof of the small hut. Go west over the roof and slide down the other side.
Jump to land on a corner ledge. Shoot two bats
that may push you off. If they do, return to that ledge. Run and jump north to
grab a horizontal pole. Spin around and release to land on another hut roof.
Look to the north-east and see an alcove in the far wall. You have to go there.
Run and jump north to the next hut roof. Go forward and drop into a depression.
Follow this to run and jump to grab the hut roof to the east. Shimmy to the
left and pull up. Cross the roof and run and jump into the alcove in the east
wall. Pick up the Gold Key from the pedestal.
Run and jump back to the hut roof to the west.
Cross the roof and drop down between the two huts. Shoot the pots for blue shotgun shells and red
shotgun shells. Run and jump over the fence to the south and exit this
building.
Go north to the temple. Go to the right side of the
temple and into a small passageway. On the left there is an opening into the
temple. Enter the temple and go to the south-east corner. Pull down the wall
switch and get a cut scene of a gate opening. Exit the temple and go south to
enter the open gate. Safety drop into the hole and see a slope ahead of you.
Save the game. Slide down the slope and a rolling ball starts to follow you. I
went down the slope and near the bottom jumped forward to get over a flat
section and land on another slope. Slide down and jump forward to grab the
horizontal pole. Spin and release to grab a second horizontal pole. Spin and
release to land in the next room. If you land on the flat section, Lara stops,
and the rolling ball gets you.
Enter the room and go to the right to pick up flares. Then return to the room entrance. Jump down
to the slope at the west wall. Slide down and grab the edge. Shimmy to the
right and be careful of a fire emitter. Pull up and get secret #3. Pick up Uzi ammo and Uzi's. Run and jump to the east ledge. Do not pull up
but shimmy to the right. Be careful of the fire emitters and climb the ladder
onto a ledge. Climb the upper south ladder and back flip into an alcove. Push a
block to the west twice and you are back where you started. Go to the
north-east corner of the room. Look down through the mirrored floor and see a
wall switch. Pull down the invisible wall switch on the east wall and the door
opens. Go through the door and enter a maze.
Go north and activate a floor blade. Hop back to
avoid it as it closes. Go to the left and north to an alcove in the north-east
corner. Hop back as a floor blade closes. Then pick up a large medipack from the floor. Be careful of floor
blades and go to the north-west corner area. Look for a hole in the ceiling at
the north wall. Pull up into a crawl space to the south. Crawl to the end for secret #4 and red shotgun
shells. Get down and go to the west wall and pass a skull on a post. Go
south and be careful of a floor blade. Continue south and a door opens. Shoot
an unfriendly native and enter the open door as
the camera view changes.
Save the game and run around the floor of the room
to activate four rolling balls. Then hop the slopes to go south. Follow the
path through a small tunnel. You enter a room with colored wall panels with
wall switches and hear a knife blade somewhere. Number the panels from #1 to #9
in a clockwise direction. Switch #1 is at the green panel in the north-west
corner. Pull switch #3 (purple) and switch #8 (red) and you hear gates open.
The other wall switches are trap doors over fire pits. Enter the open gates in
the east wall.
You enter a room with fires and knife blades. Hop
onto the ledge and stand near the left fire. Stand jump into the upper south
alcove corner and hopefully land in the corner where the knife blade cannot
touch you. Pull up to the ledge in front of you. Go right and pick up the Silver Key from the pedestal. Pull up onto the next
higher ledge. Go to the north-east and exit through the doorway. Go forward and
a door opens for you. Jump over the hole and exit back to the starting area.
Go to the north-west and go up the steps. Follow
the steps to a dark tunnel. Continue
through the room with the swinging spike blocks. Jump over a fire pit and the
camera view changes. You can see another swinging gong high above your head.
Jump onto the east ledge and hop into a tunnel. Go up the right side and side
jump to the left when a rolling ball drops in front of you. When it passes,
side jump back to pick up Uzi ammo. Return to
the middle platform. Jump to east platform and climb a ladder into the pit
below. Go to the south-east corner and pick up flares.
Pull back the cage with the skeleton from the east wall and enter the tunnel.
Go east and pass through two sets up wall spikes.
Go to the west and pull down a wall switch. Quickly hop back to avoid a floor
blade. Go through the wall spikes again and back to the pit. Go west and climb
the ladder. Hop onto the ledge and go west to se a skeleton being dragged
across the floor. Go to the west alcove and pull down the wall switch on the
south wall. Return to the central platform. Go north through the newly open
wall and see a broken bridge.
Run and jump over the gap in the bridge and enter
an icy cave. Crawl west under the wall darts and shoot two
bats. Hop onto a south ledge and pull down a wall switch. Go to the west
wall and grab a crevice. Shimmy to the left around two corners and drop onto a
ledge. Go west and into the open door. There are three branch tunnels. First
follow the north tunnel around a corner. Jump over the fire and pull back a
skeleton to pick up red shotgun shells. Return
to the junction. Follow the south tunnel around the corner. Crawl under the
horizontal bars and go to the end. Pull down a jump switch on the north wall.
Return to the junction.
Now go west and through the icy cave. Hop into the
west doorway and get a flyby of the next area. Safety drop into the trench and
enter the doorway in the east wall. Save the game, as there are many tiles with
pictures that are fire traps. Go south-east and pull back a cage with a
skeleton inside. Now go north-east east and pull back a cage with a skeleton
inside. Now go behind those cages and push another cage. Pull up into a higher
east alcove and pick up a cog. Return to the
trench. Crawl under the wall darts. Climb the ladder in the south-west corner.
Shoot two wolves and
run and jump north to grab a horizontal pole. Spin and release to land on the
north ledge. Shoot two wolves and go east. Near
the middle of the ledge, turn to the left and see a crevice. Grab it and shimmy
to the right around the corner. Release and pull down a jump switch as you fall
into the trench. You fall into a wall dart. Climb the ladder again and use a
medipack to stop the poison. Enter the open door in the south wall. Jump over
the fire trap and save the game in front of a timed wall switch. Pull down the
timed wall switch, roll, step, and stand jump over the fire trap. You get a
flash of a cut scene. Run out the door and use the horizontal pole again to get
to the north ledge. Sprint into the corner and enter the timed open door.
Shoot a wolf and
enter the room and the door opens again. Place the cog in the gear train and
get a cut scene of the doors opening in the trench. Exit the room and slide
down into the trench. Enter the room and be careful of the fire emitter on the
platform. Pick up the Skull Key from the
pedestal. A door opens in the south wall. Enter the door and slid down into the
room with two raptors. If you do not shoot them,
they ignore you. Go to the south-west corner and find flares.
Go east and look near a column for a large medipack.
Go to a sloped column near the middle of the room.
Pull up, back flip, and grab a horizontal pole. Spin and release to land on a
platform at the upper east wall. Back flip onto a west slope and jump forward
to grab a ladder. Climb up and shimmy to the right. Climb up to about the third
rung from the top. Back flip and roll to grab a horizontal pole. Spin and
release to grab a second horizontal pole. Spin and release to land on a ledge
at the upper west wall. Go south and face east to see three breakable tiles.
Stand near the middle of the tile. Stand jump south onto the first breakable
tile. Stand jump again to grab the edge of the second breakable tile. Pull up
and run and jump to the third. Stand jump to a solid ledge at the east wall.
Run and jump north onto another ledge.
Pull up through a hole to the east. Generally go
east and carefully jump the knife blades when necessary. You emerge in an
opening with a slide wire. Save the game. Grab the slide wire and slide down
the wire to drop onto a ledge. Climb the wall ladder and shimmy to the right to
get back to the broken bridge. Go south back into the room with the platform.
Go south and get around the swinging spike blocks again. Continue down the
steps back to the starting area.
Go south and jump onto the blocks as two raptors appear. They ignore you until you use a
key. Then they attack and you have to shoot them. Place the three keys in the
three key locks on the three blocks. The gates open in the building to the
east. Go into the building and through the three open gates. Go to the right
and pick up red shotgun shells. Go left and
drop into a room with deadly fire traps on the tiles with pictures. Carefully
move the cage with the skeleton from the north-west corner to the south-east
corner of the room. A gate opens up behind you to the west.
Enter the gate and get a cut scene of a T-rex. One shotgun blast to the belly was enough to
kill the T-rex. Pick up a mask near the butt of
the poor animal. Go to the north-east corner of the area and the camera view
changes to annoy you. Stand on a small hill and grab a wall ladder. Climb to
the top and pull up onto a ledge. Run and jump south to grab another ledge.
Pull up and run and jump south to grab another ledge. Do not pull up but shimmy
around to the left as far as possible and then pull up. Lara will look at the
green wall. Jump to grab an invisible crevice on that green wall and shimmy to
the left. Drop onto a ledge and continue to jump onto the roof of the building.
Place the mask in the receptacle on the west wall. You hear a door open.
Go north or south and safety drop to the ground.
Pull up onto the ledge and go through the open door in the west wall. Continue
forward and fall through a hole. You land in a water pool. Swim south-west and
pull up on the corner ledge behind a water wheel. A simple back flip onto a
slope did not seem to work for me. There is an easy and hardway to get onto the
upper platform.
Easy way: Face the slope and stand on the ledge
close to the water wheel. Jump up and grab the lowest part of the platform.
Pull up to the top of the platform.
Hard way: Go north onto the ledge. Jump onto the
south-west slope and jump forward to the platform. This was a very frustrating
pixel perfect jump. If you jump from the wrong pixel, you fail. It may need a
run and jump onto the slope from that area. I tried both and I forgot after I
did it which method worked. I did not want to do that again. I found the easy way
after a replaying this section to check something on the walkthrough. With so
many hard things to do in this level, the easy way was just not obvious the
first time. I forgot to change the walkthrough about this part when I sent it
earlier.
Run and jump onto the arch above the closed gates.
Stand jump east onto the ledge and pull down a wall switch. Drop down to the
west. Run through the open gates. Enter the tunnel and run and the level
changes.
You get a display of statistics. Hit the ESC key to
load the next level.
Level 3:
the Lost Valley
Follow the tunnel onto a ledge. You get a rather
dizzying flyby of the area showing you closed underwater gates. Drop into the
water stream and be carried by the current into a pool in a cave. Or go north
to jump down some rocks to reach the same cave. Hop onto a rock and shoot three wolves. Go north and follow the path through the
tunnel. You should reach some white rocks. Go west and slide down into a cave.
Run to the end and pick up flares. Now return
to the white rocks. Climb the white rocks and the next two north ledges and
pull up into a cave. Go down the rocks on the other side and emerge into a wide
valley. You can see a broken bridge in the distance.
Run north under the bridge and shoot a T-rex. Continue north and look at the west wall for a
tunnel. Enter the tunnel and climb the rocks in the south-west corner. Go north
and fall into a dark tunnel. Follow the tunnel to a water hole. Hop onto a
ledge and shoot a raptor. Now climb the blocks
to the top and pick up cog #1. Get down and
dive into the water. Swim through an underwater tunnel and pull up at the base
of the waterfalls.
Face the waterfalls and climb the blocks to the
left side of the waterfalls. At the top, jump to grab a crevice above the
waterfalls. Shimmy to the right and pull up into a cave above the waterfalls.
Go west into a tunnel for secret #5 and pick
up blue shotgun shells. Exit the cave and drop
into the water. Pull up and this time to the right side of the waterfalls. Pull
up into a tunnel. Follow the tunnel for secret #6
and pick up red shotgun shells. Return back to
the wide valley.
You can see a temple to the east. Go there and
enter the temple. Dive into the water pool inside the temple. Swim to the
north-east side and down to the bottom. Swim to the end of an underwater tunnel
and pick up cog #2. Swim back and pull up out
of the water. Run out of the temple and shoot the raptor
following you. Look to the south wall and you can see a tunnel for later. Turn
around and go to the north wall. Climb the blocks as high as possible. Stand
jump east to grab a ledge. Pull up and the camera view changes. Carefully go to
the corner of the ledge and run and jump onto the roof of the temple. You will
get secret #7 as you land. Go south onto the
middle section of the roof and pick up a small
medipack. If you continue south and run off the roof, you will land on
slopes to safely land on the ground near the tunnel in the south wall.
Now enter the tunnel in the south wall. Just follow
the cave downwards and then upwards to emerge at the broken bridge. Run and
jump over the gap to the other piece of bridge. Go west to the wall and pick up
cog #3 from the ground. Return to the bridge
and safety drop to the ground. Shoot two raptors
and go south to return to the valley entrance. Climb the rocks and go down the
other side. Follow the tunnel back to the water pool. Climb the rocks at the
west wall to return back to where you started the level.
Go south and go around a column to the water
stream. Jump over the water to a ledge on the east side. Continue jumping
ledges across the water stream until you can jump up to grab a higher west
block and pull up. To the south you can see the water stream and two bars in
the water. You can also see a bridge and another waterfalls. Turn to the west
and follow the dark tunnel. You emerge on a ledge. Cross the bridge and see a
gear train in front of you.
First go north and drop down the blocks to the
water stream level. There is a small water stream to the east. Go east a little
and pick up red shotgun shells near the
skeleton. Jump over the small water stream and pick up blue
shotgun shells from the north-west corner. Dive into the small water
stream and swim to the east. Just follow the underwater tunnel until you can
swim up and surface for air. Pull up into a room for secret
#8. Shoot the three pots in the room for two
revolver ammo and the revolver. You can
go west to exit back at the water pool. If you go there you have to climb the
rocks and jump the water stream again to get back to the gear train. Or you can
swim back through the underwater tunnel and climb the blocks to get back to the
gear train.
Place the three cogs in the gear train. Go to the
south-west corner and see a crevice near the floor. Grab the edge and shimmy to
the left and around the corner. Safety drop to the ground. Jump to the front of
the waterfalls. Jump south-east and into the cave. You get secret #9 and pick up a large
medipack. Drop into the water and get the current carry you back over
the waterfalls and into the water pool. Swim into an underwater tunnel in the
south wall under the waterfalls. It is hard to do because of the camera view.
Pull up into an alcove and pick up a Marble Skull off the pedestal. The gate opens ahead
of you. Enter the gate and run towards the motorcycle and get a full motion
video of Lara on the motorcycle. Then the level changes.
Level 4:
Chiapas, Mexico
You start in an old ruined building and it is
raining. Go to the north-east corner of the room and grab the crevice in the
north wall. Shimmy all the way to the right and climb the wall. Pull up onto a
slope, back flip, and roll to grab a ledge. Pull up onto the ledge. You can run
andjump into a north-east hole behind a column. Pick up a large medipack. Side jump onto the slope to slide
down, grab, pull up, back flp and roll to return to the ledge.
Go east to a small wall. Stand jump to grab a
horizontal pole. Spin and release to land on a slope to the east. Shimmy to the
right and pull up, back flip, and roll to grab a horizontal pole. Spin and
release to grab a ledge. Pull up onto the ledge. Go the west you can see a
closed door in a building. To the south is a large temple. There is another
large building to the north-east.
Hop down to the ground and go east. You see a ball
above a glass floor. Now go south to the front of the temple. Climb the temple
ledges and be careful of rolling balls. It is real easy to do, as the balls
fall one at a time. Enter the top of the temple and pull down a jump switch.
You get a cut scene of the ball dropping and breaking the glass floor. Go east
and return to the ground. Go east to the three balls resting point and see a
fenced section farther to the east.
Go north-east to a smaller building. Go north
beside the small building and hop onto a large block with bushes. Drop into a
hole in the middle of the block and pick up a crowbar.
Get out and go south again. Go to the front of the small building and jump up
into an opening. Use the crowbar to open the door. Enter the small building for
secret #10. Use the binoculars to look at the
floor. You can see some blue ovals. They are spike traps. The flares are rather
useless, as they red in color. Avoid the traps and hop onto the back ledge for revolver ammo. Hop the center fire trap and pick up a
small medipack. Jump up and use pistols to
shoot the grate in the upper east wall. Drop to the floor and pull up into the
opening. Enter a small room for secret #11.
Pick up red shotgun shells and return to the
other room. Watch out for spike traps and exit the building at the south wall.
Continue south and slide down the hill. Dive into a
water hole and pull out again. Wait and shoot two
crocodiles that appear. You may have to enter the water again to lure
them close. Drop into the water and enter a small but easy maze. Generally swim
north and find an underwater lever on the back wall. Pull down the underwater
lever and get a cut scene of a trap door opening. Swim back and pull up out of
the water hole.
Generally go in a north-west direction to find the
pit where the ball fell through the glass floor. Go to the west side of the
pit. Climb down the wall ladder and shoot a giant
spider. Watch out for floor blades as you move around. Move a box from
the north-east corner onto the tile in the middle of the pit. You get a cut
scene of a flooded pit. Climb the ladder and go north-west to find the flooded
pit. Dive into the water and pull down the underwater lever at the lower west
wall. You get a cut scene of a door opening. Pull up out of the water on the
east side.
Go east to enter a building with pipes coming from
it. Go to the north-east corner and pick up a small
medipack off the ledge at the water. Shoot four
small spiders and exit the building. Go to the south-west and slide down
a slope. You land at the building from the last cut scene. Enter the door and
stop at the hole. Safety drop into the hole and face east. Save the game for a
very difficult timed run. Get pass the first swinging spike bag and beetles start to attack. Turn to the left and pull
down a timed wall switch. Turn to the right and run around more swinging spike
bags and sprint into the timed open door. This required more luck than skill.
You have to hope that the spike bags are swinging to their high point as you
run through the rooms.
Crawl to the left and pick up flares. Crawl in an east direction. Stopping every so
often to pull your pistols and shoot a small spider
before it get closes and poisons you. At the first branch tunnel, go left for a
small medipack. Then go to the right and shoot
a small spider. Continue forward to see a spider
web. Go to the edge and use the ALT key to do a forward roll out of the crawl
space. Jump up and down to shoot a small spider
in the crawl space. Continue in the crawl space to get a large medipack. Go back to edge again and drop onto a
lower ledge. You face a fire pit. Jump onto any side slope and slide down. Grab
the edge and shimmy to the other side of the pit. Pull up and go behind the
statue. Pull down a jump switch on the south wall.
Follow a tunnel to the east and avoid more swinging
spike bags. You enter a room and go south to see a light in the ceiling. First
go to the south wall and pick up revolver ammo
off the floor. Return to the light and climb a wall ladder in the ceiling hole.
Climb up and you are inside the fenced section that you saw earlier. Save the
game, as there are breakable tiles to use. Go to the south-east corner and pull
up onto a ledge. Run and jump north to a ledge. Run and jump west to land on a
breakable ledge. Quickly run and jump south onto a stable ledge. Jump onto the
breakable tile to the east. Turn to the right and stand jump to the north to
grab an upper edge. Pull up and pick up the Serpent
Gem from the floor. Hop onto the west wall for a small medipack. Now go to the north ledge. Line up with the water
hole in the ground below. Do a swan dive (SHIFT-ALT) and you should land in
that water hole. Climb up out of the water.
Be careful of the deep pit as you run to the
north-west corner of the area again. You find two closed doors with lit torches
on columns beside the doors. Go to the left column and place the gem in the
receptacle and the doors open. Enter the door and go left. Go through the
spider web and jump up into a corner alcove. Pull down the jump switch on the
west wall. Hop down and shoot a giant spider. Go
west and be careful of spikes traps on the steps. I used a side jump to get
over them. Go through the open west door. Drop off the ledge and slide down a
slope. You get a flyby of the next area.
Go west to the steps. Go south-west into the area
under the ledges. Shoot a bat and pick up revolver ammo near the back wall. Enter the similar
area in the north-west to shoot a bat and find a
small medipack. Go west up the steps and shoot two black panthers.
If you run around the area you will attract a few bats. There is a closed door in the west wall. From
there go north to the last column. The north wall is climbable. Climb up, slid
down a slope, and jump to grab a climbable wall. Climb up, slid down a slope,
and jump to grab the top of a slope. Pull up, slid down a slope, and jump to
grab a climbable wall. Climb to the top and pull up to save.
Grab the edge again and shimmy to the right around
two corners. Climb up as high as possible. Back flip, roll, and grab a ledge
but do not pull up. Shimmy to the right around two corners. Get into the
climbing position, back flip, roll, and grab the top of a slope. Shimmy to the
right side. Pull up, slide down and jump with a right curve to land on a ledge.
The camera view changes to overhead. Go forward and place the marble skull in
an unseen receptacle. Safety drop to the ground. Go west to the open doors.
You face a pit with many fire emitters. I tried to
use the invisible blocks but gave up. I ran off to the left side onto the
slope. Landed on another slope and dropped to the floor. I lost about half the
health. Climb the short wall and run forward to see a lava lake with many
platforms. There is a cage in the middle. Hop onto that platform and a dragon appears in the lava lake. Of course, the dragon
shoots fire and locusts at you. Hop the
platforms and go north. Climb a wall and use a floor lever stuck in a skeleton.
You get a camera view showing you four ropes hanging from the ceiling. Step
outside the alcove and pick up a small medipack.
Climb on the ledge above the alcove and line up for the four ropes.
Now for another miracle of luck over skill. Swing
on the four ropes and land on the south ledge. I used medipacks to help with
the locusts. The dragon fire did not seem to reach me on the ropes. I was
either out of range or just lucky. Use another floor lever stuck in the
skeleton and get a cut scene of the cage lifting in the middle platform. Jump
down and run over the platforms to pick up the Hand of
Rathmore. Save often, as the dragon is right in front of you and his
fire is accurate. Quickly turn and jump the platforms to run to the north-east
corner. The gate there has opened. Jump into the room and avoid the lava to run
to the east wall. Go south to pull up into a tunnel. Stand jump forward to grab
the edge of another tunnel. Pull up as lava flows under your feet. Go forward
and a gate opens. Run to the gate and you get a full motion video of Lara
escaping the exploding building. Then the level ends.
