Greece, present day…
Early start with
a Timed Run, Lara’s House Key.
Fresh out of
bed, go left and down a small slope and go open the blue door (N), step out onto
the terrace and look down to the right over the fence, there’s a trellis,
remember that. Go back inside and left (E) through to a hallway with a big vase,
open the glass door (E) and inside go around the corner, down to the lower floor
and up to the windows E. The left hand window has a lever, that’s a Timed lever.
Save, pull and
jump right over the balustrade, left into the passage and back to the bedroom,
go to that terrace door you opened, jump left over the fence onto the trellis
and a running jump right around the house to the top of a garden wall. Turn
right and grab up to the trellis, a run jump to the Timed platform, a running
jump to grab the next and pull up to run jump and grab the safe trellis straight
ahead (savegame.0).
Run jump right
around the corner onto the terrace, open the grey doors and go inside where
doors open to the left (shortcut back to the timed lever room and the bedroom).
Go onto the lower part of the floor; shoot a vase in the right hand corner to
get Lara’s House Key.
A Snake Goddess.
In the other
corner is a big vase, look for a big black diamond shape on the ceiling and move
the vase under that spot, you’ll see a trapdoor open up. Go out to the terrace,
turn to the right and jump to get onto the trellis above the window (S). Then
jump to the one S. Follow that path to the last and stand jump right around the
corner of the house. Go inside and follow through, down a slope on the left and
end up at that open trapdoor, get into the water. Swim around a corner to the
end and get the Snake Goddess.
To Lara’s House.
Swim back (notice
the Orange vase, it hides a Secret) and get out, follow the passage back
to the rock ledge next to the house, just slide down left into the garden with
the statues. Notice the blue door on the terrace left.
Open a
convenient Shortcut door for later.
First go all the
way N and left around the house to the W, notice a wall torch between the fences
in the white wall right. That’s a torch we have to ignite later and to get easy
access, go open the doors in the W wall (shortcut later). Then go back around
again to the other end of the gardens.
Lara’s House,
use the Snake Goddess.
Go up to the
front door on the terrace and open the blue door with Lara’s House Key, go
inside. Take a left to that brass door and open it by placing the Snake Goddess.
Follow down to where you look out over the room we saw when we picked up the
Snake Goddess. We need a platform to get to that sarcophagus E.
Quest for the
Ornate Sword.
Turn right and
go into the passage (S), follow down to the lower part of the Aquarium Room. In
the left corner (NW) is a button (1/5)
showing the sarcophagus.
Go back upstairs
and out left, through the brass door and straight to the end of that large
room (N), at the end right around corners up to a corner where you’ll find
Orange Juice (small medipack) in
front of the drawers and a button in the windowsill (S). Using the button (2/5)
shows the sarcophagus again. Go back
S and take a right between a vase and a little red chair, at the fountain go up
the slope SW and open the small glass door. In that bedroom is another button (3/5)
in the window. Next to the bed is some more
Orange Juice.
Go out of the
room, straight a bit and open the grey doors left, take a right and open a small
blue door left (just so you know where to find it later), stay inside and go to
the end of the corridor, take a right and in the room left down the slope and up
one the button (4/5) behind the
amphora (NW).
Go to the stairs
S and up to a room with a button (5/5)
in the window (W), you’ll see a platform appear. Go into the passage S and open
the small glass door, this is a shortcut to the Bedroom where you started. No
need to go there yet, just hop over the balustrade behind you.
Go back
downstairs, left to the corridor and to the other end, left through the grey
doors and straight passing the fountain to the brass door on the right (S).
Follow the passage to the Aquarium Room. Use the platform to jump to the
sarcophagus, open it (a flyby starts) and get the
Ornate Sword, the
Bow,
Laser Sight and
Arrows from it. The flyby will show
where to use the Sword.
Drop down and
follow the passages back up to the brass door, go left to the fountain and
through the grey doors (W), and right into the corridor. Then go left through
that small blue door and left to the bridge over the canal, go across the
bridge.
The Village.
Take a right and
go right again onto the ramp leading down to an opening right under the street.
Follow in and take a right into the cellar you saw in the flyby, the crowbar
lever is to the right in the lower part of the floor. Trapdoors close behind the
windows W; go out and take a right. From standing at the water, grab the plants
on the ceiling and monkey climb to the ledge with the lever. That lever will
raise a pillar in the canal.
Hop into the
water, swim out to the canal and take a right to that pillar you raised, get on
it and run jump and grab the jump lever (W) to open a gate with it.
Through the
Gate, Raise a Pillar.
Turn right and
swim back N to climb out at the ramp. Loop left onto the street, go to the other
side and just after that third (palm) tree go right up the steps and into the
alley, to the left is the gate you opened.
Go use that reach-in switch in the back to raise a pillar in the village. Go
out, straight N over those trapdoors and left at the end into a small yard where
that pillar went up, to the right. Get on it and climb up to the ledge in the
roof. Face the yard (W), and line up to side flip as high as possible to the
left onto the roof, jump and grab the monkey climb. Follow around the corner and
drop to grab the roof, go right around and onto a trellis. Jump onto the balcony
W to get Orange Juice and jump back.
Now run jump to the S to grab the roof past that lower roof part and shimmy
right around till you see a trellis behind you. Back flip onto that and hop onto
the terrace there. You can use the lever there to bring up a pillar on the
street below, next to the trellis (to be used as a shortcut up in case you fall
down in the next part).
Through the
houses, the Yellow Key.
Open the blue
door (S) and inside on a small table right is more
Orange Juice. Open the grey doors E,
go through and end up overlooking the street above the gate you opened. Hop out
right onto the roof and grab the edge, shimmy left along the roof and at the end
back flip and roll onto a balcony. Go through the blue door, open the next door
and on the balcony jump left to grab that trellis. Run jump left onto the
balcony and go through the blue door, loop right around and through the next
door onto a balcony. Go left to the end and grab the
Yellow Key there. Go back to the
previous balcony, hop onto the trellis and safety drop down.
Use the Yellow
Key, a Ball of Yarn and the Monastery Key.
Go S and into
the first alley right, at the crossing left, right and on the square left
through the arch where you’ll find a wooden door right you can open with the
Yellow Key. You cannot do anything in there yet, so go left from the door, grab
up to that trellis up S and turn N to jump and grab the one up left. Run jump
and grab the arched ledge N.
From the ledge
jump left around the corner onto that balcony, open the door and step into a
bedroom, the cat has been playing with the Yarn, pick up the two pieces and
combine them into a Ball of Yarn. In
the window left is a button that will open a door in the room we opened with the
Yellow Key. Go out and jump back onto the arched ledge.
Detour for a Secret: go to the opposite roof, hang from the N side of the ledge
and shimmy left around the roof to a ledge with a crate, shoot that to get
Secret #1,
a Silver Seahorse.
Drop down; go
back to the door you opened with the Yellow Key (out the alley, loop around left
and the door is on the right). Inside to the left the door is now open, go to
the end of the room and pick up the
Monastery Key, a screen shows where to use it.
The Monastery,
the Holy Image Plaques.
Go out of the
house, left/right and right/left to the canal (E), go left and follow all the
way (over the wooden walkway) to the N end, left into the yard, into the passage
on the right (NW) and open the door by using the Monastery Key in the lock
opposite the door. Once inside Lara
looks up right, first shoot the crate straight ahead for
Arrows, go to the middle of the
chapel and look up for a Bell, shoot it. A door opens in the back, go in and
shoot a crate for Flares, in the
opposite corner left of that big amphora is a
Holy Image Plaque I on the wall,
take that. Notice the trapdoor in the floor but first go into the passage NE.
Follow through to a crossing with a big wooden door left and a small one right.
Open the small one and go to the garden. To the right is a crate with
Arrows;
from close to that alcove, look up NE on the church and shoot the cross so
it turns. You’ll hear that big wooden door open up inside. But first go to a
small door in the far right corner (SE) and go inside. Take a left to the
bedroom and get on the bed to take the
Holy Image Plaque II from the wall.
Use the Plaques,
Twelve Gold Tablets.
Go back to the
garden and back into the passage SW, loop right around to the open wooden door
(opened by shooting the cross before). Inside and left is a kind of mirror and
in it you can spot a very well hidden opening in the W wall (just behind that
cabinet).
Go through to
place one of the Plaques at the back wall, back out and another look in the
mirror will show another hidden passage in the N wall, behind the flowerpot. Go
in to place the second Plaque. Back out again and right into the now open door
to get the Twelve Gold Tablets in
that yard. A flyby shows where we have to go.
Pay the
Fishmonger, get the Cog.
Go back through
the door, straight through the next and keep going right to the room with the
trapdoor, left through the chapel and out NE, go right to get back to the canal
and go straight to the very end where you’ll find the market stall, stand in
front of the stall and give the Gold. The man will have a
Cog for you; go to him and get it.
Use the Cog and
the Yarn, the Secret Garden Key.
Turn around and
go down to the wooden walkway (E). Follow the walkway under the building and
find the mechanism where you can use the Cog, a pillar lowers left. Go in and in
front of that low opening in the wall you can use the Ball of Yarn. It will
trigger blocks in the next room. Go right and down, over those blocks into the
opening, follow to the room with the
Secret Garden Key. Go back; pick up the Ball of Yarn, you never know…
Go out to the
walkway at the canal.
Detour for a Secret: As soon as you come outside, run jump right over the
balustrade to grab that grassy ledge with the tree, jump left to the next tree
and walk up right to the rocks. Grab up and shimmy along the ridge to the left
passing another tree, and just before the ridge goes down, pull up and just back
flip to a grassy ledge, shoot the crate and get
Secret #2,
a Gold Seahorse. Jump back to the
rock ridge and get to the middle ledge with the tree, from the jump to the
wooden walkway below the street.
Go up to the
street.
Using the Secret
Garden Key, the First Ornate Ruby Eye.
We go back to
the Monastery, all the way N and left, follow through to the Chapel and into the
room in the back. Open the trapdoor and go down into the Crypt, go down to that
gate W and open it with the Secret Garden Key. Go in and pick up the
Ornate Ruby Eye, the screen shows a
wine cellar.
The Wine Cellar,
a Torch.
Get out of the
Crypt, go E through the chapel to the canal and take a right onto the walkway,
jump left over to the walkway on the other side of the canal (or go around over
the bridge) and go into the opening to the wine cellars (on the bottom of this
walkway). Open the white door with the Sword and go in, take the first right and
in the next room is a floor with symbols.
Take a left into the opening NE and to the right you can find the Torch. But
first go left into the back of that passage and find a lever that will provide a
clue for the puzzle floor. Make a note; grab a
Torch, a flyby shows where we should
use it. Go to the puzzle floor, from the tile in the left corner, jump across to
the right hand tile in row 2, then to the middle tile in row 3, the left tile in
row 4 and the right hand one in row 5, the wall torch ignites and you can ignite
your Torch.
Quest for the
Happy/Sad Masks.
In the room in
the back we need Happy/Sad Masks. Go back (N) to the wine cellar with the Torch,
out left to the canal and up the walkway to the street. If you opened the
shortcut doors to the gardens earlier, go left (N) and to the end, to the right
trough the shortcut to the gardens (the grey doors; in case they are closed you
have to get back inside to the bedroom and do the Timed run again to get behind
the grey doors and open them). A bit further to the left is the wall torch you
need to ignite. A platform appears from the ledge with the columns behind you.
We can reach that from the bedroom where the level started where we have to do
the timed run again to get to the golden platforms.
We need the
Torch again, so take the Torch with you and go back through the grey doors W to
the canal, take a left and up the ramp to the blue door left, go in. Go left (N)
and to the right at the end, again a right up the stairs and in the next room
left (SW) into the passage, through the glass door S and right around to the
hallway with the big vase and the grey doors S. To the right is Bedroom where it
all started.
The Timed Run
again, Happy Mask.
Go left into the
glass door SE, to the window in the NE corner (Timed lever) and drop the Torch
near the open grey doors N for now. Save at the lever, pull turn right and run
jump to the opening SW, through the small door into the bedroom N and out to the
terrace NW. A running jump over the balustrade to the trellis and a running jump
right around the wall to the garden wall, grab up to the trellis, run jump to
the brass platform and run jump to grab the next, turn left and run jump onto
the platform on the arch with the columns (savegame.1).
From the Arch
hop to the white wall, safety drop down into the pool yard. Go into the pool,
use the underwater lever and climb out on the right (E), go straight to an open
trapdoor between those big trees and drop down into the water below. Swim N to
the next cave and immediately up to the right. There’s a sloped block in that SE
corner, pull up and back flip with a roll, jump again from the next slope and
grab a crack, go right around to the end. Back jump with a roll onto a slope and
jump again to the ladder, go up and slide jump down right to the platform in the
pool. Get the Happy Mask and a
screen shows that room in the Wine Cellar.
Swim back, go up
onto a low ledge and jump over the platforms to a crack S, shimmy to the right
around the corner and to the middle of the wall and ledge jump up, shimmy again
to the right all the way to the corner and back jump with a roll to grab the
crack there. Shimmy to the right and hoist up onto a ledge. Turn around and jump
to grab the ladder, go up through the trapdoor. Go to the white wall SW and find
the lever to open the door to the right.
Get out to the
garden. Take a right to the Canal, left to the front door of the house and go
back inside, left into the corridor, right at the end. Right up the stairs, left
through the room to the small glass door S and in the hallway with the grey door
go left to the room with the Timed lever.
Use the Torch,
the Sad Mask.
Go get your
Torch and go through to the room with the vase (N) and take a right to the
terrace. Jump onto the trellis on the left (best done from the elevated floor
NE), jump over the others to the far S end. Hop down onto the rock ledge as
before and go inside. Go to the first room with the rock slide. Ignite the wall
torch on the right and the pillar will lower. You can leave the Torch here.
Detour for a Secret: Go left (E) down to the trapdoor to that Aquarium and shoot
that orange vase below before you dive in. Hop into the water and get
Secret #3,
a Bronze Seahorse. Go back to the
wall torch.
Enter the
opening left where that pillar lowered. Follow through and open the hatch, climb
up into a small valley. Throw the floor lever next to the other trapdoor and
drop in, go through to the end (we have to close the last trapdoor again before
we can do something here, as well as create some short cuts). Open both grey
doors, the one N is to the hallway at the
bedroom and the one to the right is back to where you used the Torch. Go
into that one (E) and take a right, into that passage where the pillar lowered
and follow back up to the valley. Use the floor lever again to close the
trapdoor and go back down the other opening. At the wall torch go straight and
left through the grey door, left again to the room under the valley and where
you come in (near that table), grab the plants on the ceiling. Monkey swing to
the end over a pool and use the jump lever to lower a pillar. Get out of the
pool, go N and left around the corner the
Sad Mask is now available. Combine
the two into the Happy/Sad Masks.
To the Wine
Cellar, use the Happy/Sad Masks, Ornate Ruby Eye #2.
Go N and
straight through the N grey door and left to the bedroom, then to the balcony,
jump to that trellis and safety drop down, get onto the walkway down to the Wine
Cellar. Go through the crowbar door and right over the puzzle floor to the back
room to use the Happy/Sad Masks on the S wall. A trapdoor opens between the
stairs in this room, get in and pick up
Ornate Ruby Eye #2. Climb back
out, go N over the puzzle floor to the next section and then go right. In a
crate next to the barrels are Flares.
Use the Ornate
Ruby Eyes, Jericho’s Shofar.
Turn around and
go to where the wine barrels are (N) and shoot the #2 and #3 left and the one in
the middle on the right hand side. The wine will fill the trench and a flyby
will follow. In the NW corner of the trench is a narrow opening, swim through
and follow that tunnel to where you can wade out. Go up S and follow through to
a room with a barred door, use the Ornate Ruby Eyes left and right to open that
door. Go through and pick up Jericho’s
Shofar.
When you leave
that room again the level will end.
