LEVEL 1: VENETIAN STREETS

 

FIRST TASKS

 

Sure that you’ll need flares to explore the next areas so, after picking up the PISTOLS, turn around, go through the opening in the corner and pick up the flares near the keyhole. Go back outside and jump into the water, climb the pier at the end, go through the narrow passage and jump into the water again; at the end climb the last pier and shoot some rats. Climb the yellow block and jump to grab the edge of the upper ledge, shoot the killer and more rats, pick up the large medipack he drops, shoot another rat in the next ledge and jump from ledge to ledge to the one with the wall switch; pull it to open a door somewhere. Jump into the water, go to the previous water area and look for an UW passage in a dark corner under the pier. Continue swimming to a new watery area.

 

THE FIRST FANCY KEY

 

Climb the ledge with the rats, drop from the other side and look for the UW lever under the house-like structure to raise a trapdoor somewhere; near the corner there are shallow waters and a pillar you can climb, from its top take a running jump to grab the ladder near the ledge where the rats were, climb to the top, turn around and take an angled running jump to the raised trapdoor. Continue and at the end of the corridor turn right and take a long running jump to the sloped hole in the opposite wall, when you land, immediately take a jump with twist to another slope in the opposite side, slide/grab the edge and shimmy left to the very end and host up onto the flat ledge with the flares; turn around and jump to the niche in the corner to get the FANCY KEY; a trapdoor raises in the spiked passage so you can go back to the starting area the way you came (remember that in TR2 Lara can’t shimmy around corners, so you’ll need to directly take a running jump from the tile where the flares were to grab the raised trapdoor).

 

Detour for a secret: from the niche where the key was, jump over the pit and take the dark passage directly opposite, climb some blocks to find a small room with the SECRET #1: a large medipack and Golden Coins. Go back to the starting area the way you came.

 

GOING BACK

 

A killer and a brawler are waiting for you in the starting platform so take care of them and pick up the large and small medipacks, flares and shotgun shells they drop. Use the key to open the next door.

 

SMALL LIBRARY

 

In this small library, climb either left or right bookcases and climb the next one under the window sill too; from here take a running jump to the opening in the corner and pull the switch to open a door at the bottom, alerting a brawler and a dog. There are shotgun shells on the ledge next to the wall behind the flower pot, and the enemy will drop more shotgun shells. Locate the open door in one of the corners behind the bookcases.

 

WATER CHANNELS AREA

 

In the outside area fight with two dogs and a brawler, this one will drop a small medipack and shotgun shells.

 

Detour for a secret: from the entrance, don’t cross the stone bridge yet, turn right and run directly straight ahead to the far dark corner; light a flare to discover a large ladder, climb up to the top, roll and take a running jump to the first awning, jump to the second one, to the stone roof and to the niche in the corner, pull the switch and jump into the water; return to the small library, climb up to the window sill and take a curved running jump to the high open door in the wall to get the SECRET #2: a large medipack, automatic pistols ammo and Golden Ingots. Run off the edge onto the ledge below and go back outside.

 

FIRST SWITCH

 

Our next goal will be to raise a couple of trapdoors in the opposite side of this area, so let’s go. Cross the stone bridge, jump into the water and swim straight ahead until you note an opening to your left, swim there under the grates to find the parked boat. Climb the pier, climb the gray block and jump to go higher to the wooden ledge above; pick up the small medipack and the automatic pistols ammo and take a running jump to the wooden ledge in the opposite side with the wall switch to raise one of the trapdoors.

 

SECOND SWITCH

 

Jump into the water, swim to the main channel and go left; around the corner light a flare to discover an opening in the floor under the small pier, swim through and in the next room climb the gray block, turn around and take a running jump to the ledge attached to the wall; pull the wall switch there to raise the second trapdoor. Go back outside and swim all around the central building in a counterclockwise direction until you can climb a wooden ledge in a corner. Take a running jump from the first to the second trapdoor and go inside the building to your right.

 

THE SECOND FANCY KEY

 

At the other side of this room you’ll find a small medipack and another FANCY KEY; go back outside shooting a killer on your way; he will drop a small medipack and flares. Jump into the water ad swim to the room where the boat is parked, use the key to open the door and drive outside.

 

THIRD SECRET

 

Detour for a secret: drive left to the nearby corner where the wooden ledges are; from the boat you can dismount and land onto the lower ledge, climb the ladder and at the top drop/grab the edge so Lara’s arms and legs are extended and quickly shimmy right so you can hoist up onto the flatter part of the roof. Take a curved running jump (facing the top of the roof and with a hard right curve) to reach the hole to your right and inside this room get the SECRET #3: a small medipack, the Golden Skull, the SHOTGUN and 3 X shotgun shells. Go back outside and mount the boat.

 

SECOND WATER AREA

 

Drive counterclockwise around the central building (some enemies were triggered in the entrance area; you can dismount and deal with them to get the 3 X small medipacks they drop) and drive up the wooden ramp (use the “Ctrl” key to get an extra boost) to land in the next watery area.

 

Just a bit straight ahead from the entrance there’s a brick ledge in the right side you can reach dismounting from the boat to get a large medipack. In the pier with three gondolas there is automatic pistol ammo. At the back of the building there is a wooden pier you can access from the boat, shoot the window and enter, pick up the small medipack and climb to the gallery, shoot a killer and a brawler to get a small medipack and shotgun shells. In the next room locate the movable block attached in the brick wall and pull it twice, go through the opening and pull the switch to open a door in the room where the boat was initially parked.

 

THE DUCTS

 

There’s no need to use the boat to go there, simply swim through an UW opening under the wooden ramp you used to get here with the boat. Once you are there, shoot the window, climb the window sill and take a standing jump to grab the awning; from its top take a running jump to the terrace in the next building, shoot a killer, pick up the automatic pistols ammo and the flares in the next room. Forget the movable block in the corner and go through the ducts, sliding, swimming and climbing following the only possible path (pick up flares on your way) until you face the ledges with the fans; take a running jump over the pit and grab the middle ledge, from the border, take a standing jump onto the grate over the next fan (not at the middle, but landing on a corner), pick up the flares and slide to find yourself in a big library.

 

A NEW BOAT

 

Nothing to do here at this moment (you need an artifact) so go outside, shoot a killer and pick up his automatic pistol ammo. From the exit turn right and run/swim straight ahead to the very end keeping always the same wall to your right. Climb the pier at the end of the path and go inside the building, climb the lower crate and take a running jump to the higher one with the wall switch. Pull it to open a door in a building where a new boat is parked. Go all the way back to the big library area and mount the boat, drive back the way you came but when you reach the first junction turn left and drive to the very end of the area in the dark corner, turn around and drive with boost up the wooden ramp to land into another library.

 

THE ELEVATOR CHIP

 

Dismount and pick up the shotgun shells under the window entrance. For an important pickup go to the right side and dive into a sunken part of the library, in one of the corners, behind a gray block with the Bartoli's sign there are the AUTOMATIC PISTOLS and shotgun shells. Go back to the previous part of the library, climb one of the bookcases and shoot a couple of killers near the windows, pick up the shotgun shells at the top of one of the bookcases and jump there to get the small medipack one of them drops and 2 X automatic pistols ammo on the balcony. Now shoot the left windows and from the window sill take a diagonally running jump to the wooden roof to get the ELEVATOR CHIP.

 

Optional: if you want some extra pickups, jump back inside and pull the wall switch near the corner to open the big gates below (shortcut to the starting area) and alert two killers, climb down to the bottom and pick up a small medipack and shotgun shells next to the open doors; in my game the killers never appeared.

 

THE THIRD FANCY KEY - FINAL FIGHT

 

Now go to the first library directly opposite to the big open gates, climb the lower crates in front of the entrance and take a running jump to the stacked crates to your left, jump to grab the wooden ledge above, hoist up and take a diagonally running jump to the opening in the corner, shoot a couple of killers and pick up his large and small medipacks. Place the chip in the receptacle and jump into the water to get the last FANCY KEY, continue swimming through the UW passage until you can surface in the library where you parked the boat. Go back to the first library and climb to the upper wooden ledges like you did before, shoot a killer, pick up his automatic pistols ammo and use the key to open the door; drop at the end of the passage and after you defeat the final Mafioso Boss the level ends.

 

 

LEVEL 2: OCEAN TRENCH

 

FIRST ROOMS

 

Slide down the ramp and shoot the killer; he will drop a lot of pickups: the HARPOON GUN, 4 X harpoons, a small medipack and flares; also in the campfire pick up 2 X harpoons and more flares. Shoot the barracuda and jump into the water, swim through the hole in the floor and continue to a big UW cave, look for an air hole in the ceiling and surface to take a breath. Climb the blocks and slide again into the water, kill a scuba diver and swim through the hole in the wall. In the next small room look for an air hole in the corner and surface to get 8 X harpoons; step onto the trigger tile to open the door below but also alert two more scuba divers. Go through the open door and if you are fast you can escape and they wont follow you.

 

FIRST HUGE UW CAVE

 

Near the entrance of the large UW cave pick up 3 X harpoons, continue and look for a ceiling air hole to your right, next to metallic structures to take a breath. On a grate under your feet there are 5 X harpoons, a small medipack and flares. If you dive deeper and find the lower side of that grate, there is a nearby crawlspace with a small medipack and 6 X harpoons. Swim back up for air. Now dive even deeper and follow the only possible way until the camera changes and you find yourself in a very huge cave with a sunken ship; pick up 6 X harpoons near the barrels at the bottom (note the opening here, for later) and swim up to take a breath in an air hole in the ceiling.

 

SECOND AND THIRD HUGE UW CAVES

 

Swim down and shoot a scuba diver, explore the bottom to find 4 X flares on a metallic ledge behind some algae (difficult to describe without compass) and shoot a couple of scuba divers, now look for an opening in one of the cave walls leading to another huge cave and shoot four more scuba divers; there's another air hole in the ceiling here to get some air. Just in the wall opposite the sunken ship there's an opening where you can surface and pull a switch to open a door somewhere. Now swim back to the previous huge cave and locate the opening in the floor near the sunken ship, swim there to find the open door and go inside the ship.

 

INSIDE THE SHIP

 

Surface and pick up 2 X harpoons near the skeleton, go through the opening in the corner and in the dark corridor shoot a killer, pick up his harpoons and small medipack and pull the movable block in the corner so you can reach the high opening above the entrance; continue, climb down the blocks and take a curved running jump around the corner over the fires, climb up the ladder and pull the switch at the end of the passage to hear a door opening; go back to the room with the dead killer the way you came.

 

LAKE AREA

 

Climb the metallic ledge in the left side of the ramp to find the open door; continue, pick up the shotgun shells near the skeleton and advance to find a very huge cave. Slide down to ground floor and shoot a couple of killers, a flamethrower and one more killer on the high ledges near the entrance, pick up his goodies: shotgun shells and MP16 ammo. From the entrance ramp, go left and shoot another flamethrower, go through the opening, light a flare and drag the movable block to your left to reveal a wall switch; it will open a door in the outside area. Go outside to the area with the lake.

 

GOING UP

 

On your way back shoot two more killers and pick up the automatic pistols ammo and the shotgun shells they drop; into the lake there are a scuba diver and a barracuda, explore the bottom to find a large medipack, 3 X harpoons and flares. Now go out of the water and from the block with a pointy corner in the side of the lake take a running jump to the block in the center, from here another running jump to the green block in the corner and a last standing jump to grab the edge with the door you opened moments ago. Continue, shoot a killer, climb up the ladder and the next ledge overlooking the lake area.

 

Detour for a secret: turn around drop/grab the edge and shimmy right to the very end, drop onto the spiked ledge below (onto the very right side) and take a standing jump to the ledge with the SECRET #4: Golden Ingots. Jump into the lake and take the long way back to the ledge overlooking the lake area as you did before.

 

TIMED RUN

 

This time take a curved running jump to the rocks in the right side of the cave, go through the opening in the corner and save your game in front of the timed wall switch, pull it, use the look key to restore the camera and quickly go back outside, to your right and slide to ground floor; again to the block with a pointy corner in the side of the lake, take a running jump to the block in the center, from here another running jump to the green block in the corner and a last standing jump to grab the edge of the timed trapdoor to your right, hoist up and run onto the safe block. Jump to the grated ledge and pull the switch to raise the trapdoor so you don't need to repeat the timed run again, continue climbing blocks to the top of the cave.

 

THE STEEL KEY

 

From the last ledge take a curved running jump around the corner to the tile with the green texture, shoot the killer coming from behind the crates, climb the metallic crate to your left and jump to grab the edge of the rocky ledge above. Advance a bit, jump clockwise around the central stone structure, first to the triangular ledge to your left, over the slope to the next flatter ledge and again onto a third ledge.

 

Detour for a secret: light a flare, turn right and walk slowly to the higher part of this tile, take a standing jump to grab the edge of the high opening, hoist up, turn around and jump to grab a higher ledge above; in the next room pull the switch to open a door somewhere and go back the way you came to the ledge with the dead killer. Past the metallic cage there is a grate attached to the metallic structure; from that grate you can take a running jump to the opening in the far wall where the open door is and get the SECRET #5: the Golden Skull. Go back the way you came up to the third flatter ledge behind the central stone structure.

 

This time take a running jump of faith to the dark opposite side of the cave to land onto a small ledge near a corner, jump to the next one and to the last ledge attached to the wall (a trapdoor opens somewhere) to pick up the STEEL KEY near the skeleton; pick up some flares too.

 

LAST SECRET

 

Detour for the last secret: back to the edge of the ledge you came from, approach to the very left side, turn a bit left and take a long running jump with a left curve to land onto a small ledge attached to the wall down below, go inside the opening to get the SECRET #6: Golden Coins, a small medipack, the UZIS and 3 X uzi clips. Go outside, safely drop from the edge of the ledge onto a block below losing some health, pick up the large medipack the killer dropped when you first entered into this area, climb the block with the green texture at its top, and continue climbing blocks until you reach the higher area where you picked up the key moments ago.

 

THE ORNATE KEY

 

Jump into the water at the other side, deal with a scuba diver and swim through an opening in the part that sticks out of the sunken ship, follow the only possible way (there's an opening in a ceiling corner behind a pillar) until you can surface and use the key to open a door. In this room pick up the ORNATE KEY and go back to the second huge UW cave the way you came.

 

EXITING THE LEVEL

 

From the exit turn left and face a wall with Egyptian symbols, swim there and in the middle of the wall structures there is a hole with shotgun shells, a small medipack and grenades, swim out and through either of the openings at the bottom to surface in a hall with pillars where you can use the key (take a curved running jump from one of the lateral ledges), shoot a flamethrower and a killer and go through the open door to finish this level.

 

 

LEVEL 3: RUINS OF HERACLEION

 

OPENING THE FIRST DOOR

 

Slide and jump into the pool; pick up the automatic pistol ammo, the flares and if you dive even deeper through the hole you can get uzi clips in a niche; swim back and out of the water. Pick up the shotgun shells in a corner of the pool and go to the opposite side of this area; take a standing jump to the flatter part of the slope (very right side) and another jump to the backside of the pillar, turn around and jump to the dark ledge, from here a running jump to grab the crack in the wall and shimmy right to the niche with the shotgun shells, take a running jump to the sloped tile in front of the opening and go inside. Run and jump to escape from the boulder at your back, pull the switch and go back outside to ground floor, shoot the big spider and the door in front of the pool is now open. For extra items, you can climb a dark niche to the left side of this door and jump to the top to get shotgun shells, 2 X automatic pistols ammo and uzi clips.

 

SMALL POOL ROOM

 

Anyway run over the breakable tiles and turn right at the end of the short corridor, shoot a couple of rats and for more items jump into the pool and look for a crawlspace in the corner to get shotgun shells and a small medipack. Go out of the water and climb up the ladder in the corner, pick up the flares, light one, turn around and take a standing jump to the triangular opening in the dark corner to get a large medipack, jump back to the previous ledge and slide down the ramp to drop into the lake.

 

FIRST SECRET

 

Optional for some pickups and a secret: there is a lower rock near a corner you can climb to shoot the scuba diver (or shoot it with the harpoon gun if you like). From this rocky ledge you can take a running jump with a slightly right curve around a corner to grab the next one, jump again and take a final standing jump to the ledge with the shotgun shells and flares. Jump into the water and approach to the UW opening in the opposite side of the entrance, but don't go through yet, look up and to your right to spot an air hole in the ceiling, swim there and continue to the end of the path to get the SECRET #7: Golden Coins and uzi clips. Go back to the lake the way you came.

 

REACHING THE BUILDING

 

Now you can swim through the opening in the opposite side of the entrance and shoot another scuba diver, turn left from the entrance and continue through a more narrow opening to a new watery area. After shoot a couple of scuba divers, swim behind the big white rock at the bottom to get 2 X shotgun shells. Near this white rock there is a ledge in a corner you can climb, take running and standing jumps onto the next ledges attached to the wall until you reach the corner in the other side; from here jump to grab the crack, shimmy left until you can drop onto a sloped ledge and take a running jump inside the building.

 

POOL ROOM

 

Shoot a big spider and go to the room with the pool, push the movable cage once to the right and pull/push it all the way to the next corner, climb the yellow block attached to the corner, jump to grab the edge of the spiked ledge and walk slowly to the other side, take a standing jump to the next ledge, go through the opening in the ceiling and find yourself on the sandy roof of the building. Now use the flatter tiles (first in the lower part, then up next to the hole and a last running jump to the tile with no sand) to cross to the other side, but beware of the falling boulder (jump back and forth).

 

HALL WITH TEETH DOORS

 

Once at the other side time the rolling wheels and pull the switch to hear a filling sound, time the wheels again ad jump into the lake, swim back through the narrow opening to the previous part of the lake and note the open doors in the left side. Swim through and up a ramp to a dry area. Explore the corridors around the pillars to get uzi clips, a small medipack and shoot two big spiders; in a corner there is a passage leading to a series of teeth doors, in that place and timing the doors you can get a small medipack, flares and harpoons; also pull a switch to open the door in the previous area with the tall pillars; go back there and slide down the ramp, quickly jump before reaching the bottom to save time, pull one of the switches and jump back with twist so you can pull the opposite one in time to open a floor trapdoor and drop down before the moving spiked wall pricks your meat. Climb up and continue to a new cave where you’ll find another big spider; further on jump into the lake of a very huge cave.

 

THE HUGE CAVE

 

Your goal in this huge cave is search and find four keys to open the exit doors, and this can be done in any order so you can choose where to go first.

 

FIRST ORNATE KEY

 

Shoot a scuba diver and two eagles, pick up the shotgun shells (you probably saw after the jump) and facing the entrance go out of the water from the right side and run straight ahead to the dark corner to get shotgun shells and flares behind a small slope; go back and again straight ahead to the pillar with the Egyptian signs, jump into the lake and on its left side there is a triangular UW opening, pull the lever inside to raise a trapdoor somewhere (for later). Swim back out, climb the blocks in front of you and go directly into the first building.

 

Don’t go too far, but climb the first opening to your right and note the opening in the fence after the skeleton, advance and when the boulder runs, take a running jump through that opening to land onto the rocks in the other side, climb the blocks and in the next opening wait for the falling debris; go up the ramp (more falling debris) and in the next opening beware of the rolling boulder. At the end, when you are on the roof pick up the large medipack and the first ORNATE KEY. If you drop from the right side onto the ledge below you can pick up flares, M16 ammo, harpoons and uzi clips. Jump into the lake and go again to the entrance of the first building.

 

SECOND ORNATE KEY

 

This time pass the opening to your right and continue swimming; when you hear the rolling balls, quickly swim ahead and up to avoid being crushed. Swim back over the boulders and locate the open trapdoor in the ceiling, surface and when you go out of the water more boulders roll against you; try to jump near the center of the ledge to minimize damage. Continue through the lateral opening and shoot a big spider in the next room, jump to grab the edge of the lower ledge next to the entrance, hoist up and take a running jump to the spiked ledge attached to the wall, walk slowly to the other side and take a standing jump to grab the crack, shimmy left to the very end, pick up the small medipack and take a standing jump to grab the edge of the next ledge, continue, jump to the ramp and when the boulder is triggered, roll and run and jump to the previous ledge. Once at the top of the ramp you'll need to run clockwise over a series of breakable tiles climbing blocks at the end of them; once at the top, run next to the rolling wheel when it goes away and quickly turn left at the end; go up the next ramp from its center timing the lateral blade disks with standing jumps, climb the last block, pick up a large medipack and save your game. Drop, slide and land onto a sloped tile at the end.

 

For a secret: situate Lara on the highest corner of that tile, next to the pillar and take a standing jump over the sloped rock with a right curve to land onto a flatter ledge behind with SECRET #8: Golden Ingots.

 

Safely drop onto the roof below, shoot a big spider and pick up 2 X shotgun shells, a small medipack and the second ORNATE KEY. Approach to one of the sides and safely drop down onto the narrow bridge with the skeleton below.

 

THIRD ORNATE KEY

 

Cross the bridge (the rolling boulder is already triggered) and in the next room pick up a small medipack in the window sill; continue and shoot a big spider in the sandy room. From the pointy block take a standing jump to the slope near the entrance, jump and grab the crack in the wall, shimmy right until you can stand up and jump to the building with the Egyptian figures, run to the right side and from the block in the corner take a standing jump to grab the edge of the upper ledge, hoist up and shoot a big spider, go through the opening it came from and in the next room climb to the terrace to get the third ORNATE KEY. Go all the way back to the main cave.

 

Detour for a secret: When you pick up the key, a trapdoor opens in the previous room so go there and drop into the hole. Slide down the ramp and you’ll land into a water channel, light a flare and note the small slope in the floor and the opening above; from its right side place Lara against the wall and use “Ctrl” + “Up arrow” keys to climb to that opening with the SECRET #9: the Golden Skull, the M16 and 3 X M16 ammo. Back to the water corridor, pick up the small medipack in the next room and the final door will open for you; you are now in the main huge cave.

 

FOURTH ORNATE KEY

 

In the main cave, go to the area with the palm trees (you already are in that area if you got the last secret) and jump to the flatter rocks near the corner with the… open or closed? door. Continue jumping onto the flatter rocks until you reach the crack, grab it, shimmy right, hoist up and take a standing jump onto the trapdoor you raised a lot of time ago when you entered into this huge cave; shoot an eagle and jump to the right side of the triangular crack right from the pillar, slide a bit and jump to the ledge with the uzi clips, shoot another eagle and jump to the opening in the wall.

 

Follow the only possible path shooting a couple of rats on your way and in the final ornated room step onto the tile with the cat statue: a door opens at the bottom of the stairs but also up to four big spiders are alerted; once the calm is restored, go down the stairs, locate the open door at the bottom and get the fourth ORNATE KEY. Go back outside to the main cave.

 

USING THE KEYS

 

Jump into the lake, swim right and left between the buildings and through the big opening at the bottom, shoot a couple of scuba divers and in the niche above the first skeleton pick up uzi clips (go back for air when needed); now swim past the second skeleton and in the right side there’s an opening with an UW lever, pull it to raise the nearby grate and swim there; shoot two barracudas and surface at the end of the passage. Climb the lower pillar and jump counterclockwise from pillar to pillar until you can take a running jump to the upper blue ledge. Use the keys to open the doors and in the final room pick up the P2; a trapdoor will open under your feet, slide down the ramps to finish the level.

 

 

LEVEL 4: PHARAOH’S GATE

 

STARTING AREA WITH BIG STATUES

 

In the starting area with the big statues, shoot an eagle and a couple of big spiders, now climb the ledge between the statues, shoot another eagle, climb the brown block, turn around and from the corner jump back onto the slope and forth to grab the edge of the ledge above, hoist up and shoot another eagle. Jump to the last ledge on the right side to get flares and a small medipack; now go back and all the way to the last ledge in the opposite side and jump to the rocky opening. Climb the blocks, drop from the other side and continue jumping from ledge to ledge using the flatter ledges until you reach the niche with the switch in the far wall (the last two jumps are a bit tricky; the first one a running jump to grab the top of a block, there’s a small medipack behind, and the last one an angled running jump directly to the niche with no grab). Pull the switch to open a door somewhere and safely drop onto ground floor.

 

FIRST ORNATE KEY

 

Now repeat all the movements you did before to get to the last high ledge with the big statue, jump again to the rocky opening in the wall, climb the blocks but this time from the highest block turn right and climb even higher, pick up the small medipack and run over the broken stone bridge; at the end roll/drop and grab the edge to avoid the rolling boulder. Hoist up, roll and take a running jump to the next ledge and another running jump to the last part of the rocky bridge, pick up the large medipack and drop/grab the edge to avoid another rolling boulder; run up the ramp and climb the niche to your right to get the first ORNATE KEY. Now you need to get down to ground floor so go to the opposite side of the bridge, through the opening, drop onto the block below, drop to your right and finally jump onto the sand dune to slide to the very bottom. The keyhole is in the nearby corner so use the key to open the door and enter.

 

FIRST LAKE AREA

 

Run down the ramp and jump into the lake, shoot two barracudas and take the first wide opening to your right; you can go out of the water near the closed door. From the lateral part, take a running jump to the block with the flares and the shotgun shells, continue to the small ledge around the corner (odd camera here) and take a running jump to the opening at the other side of the lake. Light a flare to see the hole in the floor and take a standing jump to grab the edge of the next block, climb the next one and in this new room shoot a bunch of rats, pick up the shotgun shells in the corner and pull the switch in the other corner. Go back to the lake shooting one more rat on your way (remember the hole in the floor), another barracuda awaits, swim to the ledge where you can get out of the water and go through the open door.

 

ROOM WITH THE SPIKED PIT

 

Time the teeth doors and in the next room turn left and take a standing jump onto the mound of sand under the next ledge, after the slide walk to the corner to get shotgun shells and flares, walk to pull the wall switch and walk to the slope in front of the bricked wall in the corner, take a standing jump onto the flatter ledge, go left, climb the wall and jump back to the entrance ledge. Again go to the end of the ledge (this time to your right) and this time take a running jump to the next ledge in the corner, from here a last running jump to the ledge with the open door.

 

CORRIDOR WITH MOVING SPIKED WALLS

 

Optional for some pickups: go to the opening directly in front of you, climb the block, roll/drop/grab the edge, shimmy to the very left corner and drop onto the spiked floor to get 3X harpoons, shotgun shells, flares and uzi clips. Climb back to the main corridor.

 

Advance to trigger the rolling boulders and jump onto the left ledge to get out of the way; jump into the water hole, swim through the next hole, pick up the large medipack at the bottom and use the UW lever. Go back to the main corridor and the grate at the end is now open. Take a running jump to the right side where the opening is to avoid the moving spiked wall; pick up the flares and when the wall stops go to the back side to get grenades, M16 ammo, uzi clips and harpoons. Go back to the corridor where the flares were.

 

INSIDE THE HEAD OF THE CAT

 

Optional for a secret: turn around and slide down the ramp backwards, drop/grab the edge at the end, drop/grab the edge below and hoist up to get the SECRET #10: Golden Ingots and uzi clips. Take an angled standing jump to the nearby edge to get out.

 

Go through either opening and in the dark room pick up the small medipack and the uzi clips from the blocks in the corners; again go through either opening and jump backwards onto the nose of the cat, slide with grab to land into the mouth with a closed door (for later). Safely drop to ground floor.

 

SECOND LAKE AREA

 

In this large area start by shooting a couple of big spiders and a couple of eagles. Looking from the entrance, to the right of the lake there is a palm tree near the corner, climb the rock behind that tree and go through the passage. Time the rolling wheels and in the next room slide down the ramp to your left from the right side, a boulder is triggered so jump in last moment at the bottom of the ramp with a right curve to not touch it. Advance to the next room and another boulder will roll; pull the wall switch to open the exit door but also raise a trapdoor in the outside area. Take a long running jump with a left curve to reach the ledge entrance and time the wheels again to go outside. Don’t drop yet onto the sand, but shoot a big spider roaming around from your safe position.

 

Detour for a secret: from that position, take a standing jump onto the sloped rock next to the corner and jump to grab the edge of the high ledge, continue climbing until you reach a high ledge overlooking the huge area, shoot two eagles and take a running jump to the ledge with the SECRET #11: the Golden Skull. Go back the way you came to the block in the corner behind the palm tree.

 

SECOND ORNATE KEY

 

This time take a tricky running jump with a right curve to the flatter rock next to the white bridge over the small lake, another running jump to that bridge and a last running jump to the rock next to the tile with the uzi clips, climb the next block, shoot an eagle and take another running jump to the trapdoor you raised moments ago. Continue and in the next room jump onto the blocks with the statues, pick up the large and small medipacks in the corners and walk through the spikes to the corridor where you’ll find a wall switch; pull it to open the door in the mouth of the giant cat statue. Make your way to go back outside on the raised trapdoor.

 

From this safe position shoot a big spider below and perhaps a barracuda in the lake too, jump into the lake and pick up uzi clips and automatic pistols ammo behind the pillar, alerting two more barracudas; go out of the water and just in front of the opening with the switch you pulled moments ago there is a high ledge with another switch, use the small mound at the bottom to get up (“Ctrl” + “Up arrow” keys facing the wall) and pull it to raise a trapdoor somewhere. Drop onto ground floor and go back to that well-known rocky block behind the palm tree in the corner, take again a tricky running jump with a right curve to the flatter rock next to the white bridge over the small lake and another running jump to that bridge; this time go to the end of it and take a running jump to the raised trapdoor to your left and get the second ORNATE KEY. To get back down jump to the bridge and to the lake below. Use the key just in the building you found the key, but in the lower part, enter and step onto the trigger tile to see a door opening somewhere. Go outside and shoot a big spider, now it’s time to go to the mouth of the big cat statue (entrance of this place).

 

TO THE THIRD LAKE AREA

 

Turn right at the junction and run down the ramp like fool while two boulders are on your heels; turn right at the end to find the door you opened moments ago. In the next room pick up shotgun shells, uzi clips, flares and a small medipack; from either of the recess you can climb up to the floor above, pick up 2 X shotgun shells and continue through the dark corridor. Time the teeth doors, climb the block and drop into the hole at the end, shoot a big spider, pick up the flares and jump into the water hole and advance to another lake with three barracudas in a huge cave.

 

THIRD ORNATE KEY

 

Go out of the water and shoot three big spiders; from the closed door in a corner of the lake you can jump onto the flatter parts of the rocks counterclockwise until you reach an opening over the entrance of this area (not difficult); advance and in the next room shoot (of course) another big spider, climb the block next to the entrance, take a running jump to the next one, again jump to the next and climb the opening with the wall switch, pull it and drop onto the previous block, turn left and take a long running jump to the next flatter block in the opposite side, continue jumping and climbing the obvious blocks to the top of the room where the opening with the open door is. Time the teeth doors and pull a new switch to open a door in the lake area. Make your way to go back there and enter, shoot another big spider and step onto the tiles with the cat faces to open the door, drag the cage out and aside so you can climb it and reach the upper ledge above, pick up the third ORNATE KEY, M16 ammo, flares and go back to the lake area.

 

FOURTH ORNATE KEY

 

Near the corner where the grenades are there is another opening, enter but quickly go back outside to avoid the rolling boulder, go back inside and in this new room run up the ramp to get M16 ammo at the end; back down, drop into the pit and shoot a big spider, continue to the cave with the building. As you arrive, turn right and take a standing jump onto the slanted block in the corner, continue to the very end and pull a switch to flood the previous area. Go back there, jump into the water and swim all around the building clockwise to find an UW opening so you can get inside, surface and get out of the water, shoot up to four barracudas if you want; now jump to the opening in front of the entrance and take a running jump to the block with the flat top in the right side; from here you can take an angled standing jump to grab the edge of the roof where the fourth ORNATE KEY is.

 

Detour for a secret: facing the cave entrance go to the left corner of the roof and spot a hole in the rocks down below near the corner; take a long running jump there to get the SECRET #12: the Golden Coins, the GRENADE GUN and 3 X grenades.

 

Go back to the main area with the lake, shoot three big spiders, run up the wide stairs of the big building and use the keys to raise the gate; run outside to finish the level.

 

 

LEVEL 5: TIBETAN GORGE

 

THE IRON KEY

 

First go to the small opening in the right hand side, jump over the deadly pool and pull the switch to release a boulder somewhere, go back outside, shoot an eagle and go through the big opening (beware of the falling stalactites), shoot a tiger and run straight ahead to jump into the water hole in the corner, swim some meters and pick up the IRON KEY; swim back outside and go left to open the wooden door.

 

FIRST CAVE

 

Slide down the ramp and jump in last moment to grab the icy ladder; climb up to the top. Turn around, light a flare and take a running jump to grab a small ladder, climb up, turn around and jump to the small room ahead, pull the lever, drop through the hole into the lake below and swim to the ledge where the open door is. Enter and shoot a hooded; go right, climb the block in the corner and take a running jump to the ledge at the other side of the big opening, drop/grab the edge and shimmy left to the very end, hoist up, roll and take a running jump to the niche in the icy wall, push the block to reveal an opening and run over the breakable tiles to the ledge with the switch, pull it to open a door somewhere and go back outside, shoot another hooded and go through the big opening.

 

FIRST SECRET

 

From the right side take a standing jump onto the flatter tile, climb the block, jump to the next one and to the icy ledge above the opening. You can’t reach the open door from here so go through the opening to your left, jump over the spikes and shoot a bad guy. Enter and slide from the very left side, let the tile breaks and continue sliding to the bottom of the ramp with a rolling ball at your back, jump in last moment (the pool is deadly) to grab the edge of the next ledge.

 

For a secret: when you are sliding the last long ramp, note the small slope in the right wall, jump there with a hard right curve and immediately jump to land onto a niche in the opposite wall with the SECRET #13: the Golden Coins.

 

Hoist up, shoot the tiger and continue to another ramp, slide from the left side and jump over the deep pit.

 

BIG CAVE WITH LAKE

 

In the lake area turn right and shoot the bad guy, jump into the water and swim straight ahead and behind the blue pillar, under the wooden bridge attached to the wall the bottom is shallow and you can stand up, turn left and take a standing jump onto the block; from here take a running jump around the corner as far as you can to land onto a slope, jump with a hard right curve to the next slope in the middle of the water and jump again to grab the crack in the wall, shimmy right and hoist up; time the teeth doors and at the end turn around drop/grab the edge and shimmy right, hoist up, turn left and climb the rock.

 

Detour for some pickups: go through the dark opening in the wall, light a flare and safely drop/climb down to the bottom with the help of the ladders, cross the corridor with the inactive teeth doors and shoot a yeti, pick up 3 X shotgun shells and automatic pistols ammo and go back up the way you came, this time timing the teeth doors at the bottom.

 

From the top of that rock take a series of running jumps counterclockwise around the lake using the flatter ledges (the last one is a bit tricky, you must approach all what you can to the corner and take a running jump with a hard left curve to land onto a snowy ledge with a nasty slope) until you reach the wooden bridge. From the end of that bridge, take an angled standing jump to grab the edge of the breakable/translucent tile above, hoist up, run to the end and jump onto the safe ledge in the corner; continue crossing the next wooden bridge and climb the ledge at the end.

 

SECOND SECRET

 

Detour for a secret: from the top of that ledge, left side, take a standing jump over the slope slightly to the left to land onto a flatter tile behind; from here take a long running jump to a protruding ledge at the other side of the lake to get the SECRET #14: the Golden Skull. From that ledge take a long running jump to the wooden bridge at the other side of the lake, losing some health, turn right and climb the same ledge again.

 

Shoot an eagle and cross the next wooden bridge, at the end of the path take a diagonal running jump to the opening in the wall, continue, walk through the spikes and climb the ladder, now take another running jump across to the opposite ledge, jump to grab the edge of the icy slope, hoist up, slide and jump before you reach the bottom to not waste a precious time and quickly run and jump to the ledge to your left with the keyhole and closed door (for later) to avoid the rolling ball.

 

SNOWMOBILE AREA

 

Jump again to the main way and continue jumping over the ball to an outside area; quickly mount the snowmobile to kill two hooded guys, they will drop 2 X shotgun shells and 2 X small medipacks; go inside the hut and shoot a bad guy, pull the switch to open the wooden door outside and light a flare in front of the grate to see a hint for a puzzle later:

THE ORNATE MASK

 

Go outside and shoot an eagle, break the translucent tiles over the pit and climb down the ladder to the bottom; jump into the water and go out at the other side. In the room with the small pool shoot three bad guys and pick up his large medipack and M16 ammo (don’t even try to jump into the pool to get the mask), continue deeper into the cave to find two dark holes at the back, light a flare and drop into the hole in the right hand side (looking from the entrance), advance and drop through the next hole to the room with the five switches puzzle. You already know the positions of the first and last switches so trying some combinations with the central ones finally discover the right positions to open the door, from left to right: up-up-down-down-down. The door opens and reveals another switch; pull it and the pool with the mask is now safe.

 

Detour for a secret: next to the first wall switch there’s an opening in the wall, jump there and walk through the spikes to discover at the end the SECRET #15: Golden Ingots, 3 X large medipacks and the Gold Secret Key.

 

Go all the way back up to the room with the small pool the way you came, kill a hooded and a white tiger and jump into the pool to get the ORNATE MASK. Now go all the way back to the outside area with the snowmobile and mount it to kill an eagle and two bad guys, they will drop 7 X automatic pistols ammo.

 

USING THE SECRET KEY

 

Detour for some extra pickups: if you was able to get the last secret, you have in your inventory the Gold Secret Key. That way you can go back to the previous lake area with several wooden bridges jumping over the snow ball; at the end of the corridor turn right and jump to the ledge with the closed door, use the key to open it and enter to get 3 X shotgun shells, 2 X grenades, 2 X M16 ammo, 2 X automatic pistols ammo, uzi ammo and a small medipack. Go back to the outside area with the snowmobile.

 

RIDING THE SNOWMOBILE

 

Now it’s time to drive the snowmobile through the opening with the small wooden door. In the first area you’ll kill two bad guys and two eagles, one of the guys will drop automatic pistols ammo. Use the mask to raise the bars gate.

 

In the next area run over a flamethrower; continue driving and use the icy slope to jump over the pit; park the snowmobile. Jump to the passage left from the closed door and beware of the falling stalactites; in the next room with more falling stalactites there is a ledge just opposite the entrance you can’t reach; to the left of that ledge there’s a hole with spikes; what we need is to take a running jump onto the sloped tile to the left of that hole and jump with a hard left curve to land onto the flat ledge attached to the wall; when you get it, take a running jump to grab the crack, shimmy right and climb the next block in the corner; now take a diagonal running jump to the central rocky structure, go right (falling stalactites) and jump to the niche in the wall; from here take a standing jump to the pillar in the corner and a last running jump to the other corner with the wall switch; pull it to open the door where the snowmobile is. Go back there.

 

The next jump with the snowmobile is a bit tricky, try to drive diagonally to the right side of the ramp and when you land immediately turn left and jump to the safe floor. Park the bike in front of the closed gate.

 

ICY COURTYARD

 

Go through the dark opening in the corner (left from the gate) and shoot a couple of yetis, light a flare and continue to find a ledge with a small medipack and a switch; pull it to rise a door in this dark room. Shoot another yeti and locate the open door to go outside and kill two yetis. Go right to open the other door so you can take the snowmobile outside to kill three more yetis.

 

Now another tricky ride with the snowmobile comes: from the door where you took out the snowmobile to this outside area, drive directly straight ahead up the snowy ramp jumping to the opposite side of the entrance, turn left (a trapdoor will raise) and try to drive to the right to park the snowmobile next to the right side of the roof, dismount and jump onto the roof, locate the dark opening a bit further and defeat the Guardian of the Talion to finish this level.

 

 

LEVEL 6: THE EMPEROR’S TOMB

 

WATERY CAVE

 

Pick up flares and shotgun shells next to the skeleton and drop/grab the edge of the spiked pit next to the wall; drop/grab the crack below, shimmy right and pull the switch to open the gates. Take a standing jump to grab the edge and go up. Advance a bit and go through the opening to your right, slide and pull the switch to open the trapdoor at your feet. Once in the water area, climb a rock to better shoot the warriors, use the P2 (Now the Emperor’s Mystical Key) in the receptacle to open the gates near the bridge above. There are flares to pick up to your right.

 

FLOODING THE CAVE

 

Facing the waterfall, to the left there is an opening in the wall, climb there and shoot the small spiders falling from the ceiling. Go to the left side of the spikes and jump to grab the crack in the wall, shimmy right until you can stand up, roll and take a running jump with a right curve to grab the ladder, climb to the very top and take a backflip with twist to grab the edge of the opening at your back, time the teeth doors and pull the switch to flood the cave; time the teeth doors again, jump into the water, swim through the opening to the main cave and up to surface near the bridge.

 

HUGE WATER CAVE

 

Go out of the water, through the open gates and move the block to the recess opposite the entrance, climb the wall and take a standing jump to grab the beam; pull the switch to open the door below and safely drop to ground floor. Unfortunately when you run next to the warrior he awakes, so shoot it or simply avoid it and jump into the water in the next huge cave. Shoot an eagle and swim to the opposite side of the cave, turn right and jump into the next part of the lake under the wooden bridge, look for an UW opening where you can pickup 2 X flares and pull a lever to raise a trapdoor somewhere. Surface and deal with an eagle.

 

FIRST ORNATE GOLDEN KEY

 

In this part of the lake there is a wide opening, swim there and continue climbing blocks until you find a room guarded by sleeping warriors; when you advance, three of them awake so give them what they deserve. Looking from the entrance, in the left wall there is a ledge you can climb ("Ctrl" + "Up arrow" keys), pull the switch to open the door below, go there and pick up the first ORNATE GOLDEN KEY. Outside fight with two more warriors.

 

Detour for a secret: from the center of the room, facing the entrance, run diagonally to the corner in the left side; from the very corner use again the same combination of keys ("Ctrl" + "Up arrow" keys) to climb the block and step on a trigger tile, the trapdoor in the center of the room opens; go there and get the SECRET #16: the Golden Coins. Jump back up.

 

BEHIND THE WATERFALL

 

Go all the way back to the lake; swim back to the first part of the lake and shoot a barracuda. Now swim under the waterfall and look for a ledge in the right side you can climb to shoot the barracudas; if you want there's M16 ammo at the back of this lake. Anyway go back to that ledge, drop/grab the edge and shimmy left until you can hoist up, grab the next crack and shimmy left again to the very end; now slide down the ramp and jump in last moment to reach the niche, take a running jump over the spiked pit and pick up the large medipack and the flares. From the right side of the next opening, turn right and take a standing jump with a right curve to grab the edge of the next block, pick up shotgun shells, uzi clips and slide from the other side; from here go left and from the corner turn right and take a standing jump to grab the edge of the ledge under the ladder, climb it, shimmy right over the spikes and continue to the top; pick up 2 X M16 ammo and cross the bridge.

 

In the next room shoot an eagle and take care not touch the bounce pad on the floor if you want the next secret: climb the ledge to your right and pull the central block out and aside to get the SECRET #17: the Golden Skull.

 

ROOM WITH WOODEN BEAMS

 

Now use the bounce pad to reach one of the high ledges above; if you land onto the ledge with the flares and the closed door, take a running jump to the opposite ledge with the switch and jump back. In this new room, make your way to safely drop to the very bottom and pull the switch, go to the blocks in the corner and pick up the flares, climb the blocks and take a running jump to the beam with the bricked block (there are uzi clips under it) and use it to go back up to the higher beams where the open door is.

 

OUTSIDE LAVA AREA

 

Continue sliding over the roof and jump in last moment to land onto a block in the lava below, continue jumping from block to block counterclockwise until you must take a standing jump to grab a crack in the wall, shimmy left, hoist up and take a long running jump with twist in midair to land backwards onto the high rocky slope attached to the wall to your right, slide/grab the edge, shimmy to the very left side, hoist up and take a backflip with twist with a hard right curve to land onto the top of the roof; run through the corridor stepping onto the marked tile to open a door somewhere.

 

SECOND ORNATE GOLDEN KEY

 

The next door is open too, drop onto the beam in the room you already visited, drop lower onto the beam with the bricked block and take a running jump to grab the ladder, climb it and slide down the ramp into a new room, pick up the flares and continue over the wooden bridge; when the rolling ball comes, go back and when the ball stops jump over it.

 

Detour for a secret: when you reach the last part of the bridge, the rocky part, turn left jump back and drop/grab the edge of the rock; shimmy right until you see the small niche below with the secret, then hoist up and take a jump back onto the slope in the corner, slide a bit and jump to the niche with the SECRET #18: the Golden Ingots plus three large medipacks and grenades. Jump to grab the slope at the other side of the niche, hoist up and jump back onto the bridge.

 

Continue to the ledge with the shotgun shells, drop/grab the edge and shimmy left to the niche where the second ORNATE GOLDEN KEY is. Pick it up and jump into the lake below.

 

THE EMPEROR’S DRAGON MASK

 

Now go to the entrance of this huge cave, go up the steps and climb to the entrance ledge, take a running jump to the trapdoor you raised a long time ago with the UW lever, take a running jump around the central pillar to the white ledge behind and a last running jump to grab the next ledge. Pick up the uzi clips and use the keys to raise the gate, run up the dark corridor, cross the long wooden bridge and slide down the short ramp, pick up the EMPEROR'S DRAGON MASK and the trapdoor opens under your feet.

 

FINAL BATTLE

 

In the next room pick up the grenades, 2 X automatic pistols ammo, a small and large medipacks and 2 X uzi clips near the entrance, fight with five Chinese warriors and when the calm is restored look for three switches to pull in the corners of the room; each time you pull a switch, more warriors awake. When all three switches are pulled, all doors are open so drop through the hole, slide, jump into the water and swim following the only possible path (up to the opening in the ceiling in the last part of the cave) until you can surface. Continue up the snowy ramp using the flatter parts to finish this fantastic adventure.
