INSIDE THE DESTINY

Run forward and slide down a long slope into a dark area. You have no weapons, and there's an alien solider in the control room ahead and to your right, so turn left and hop over the railing. Stay close to the wall as crawl past the window in the E wall (more soldiers in there). Stand up just past the window and push the button to open floor trap doors in the room beyond the window, getting those soldiers out of your way. Push the button again to close the trap doors. Turn right and hop onto the block in the SE corner, where a trigger tile turns off the lasers at the entrance to the control room next to you. It's timed, so quickly run around the corner and enter for the PISTOLS.

 

By this time three soldiers will have converged on you, one of whom drops a large medipack, another the REVOLVER. Push the timed button to turn off the lasers at the entrance to the other control room. Rush there, shoot the guard and take his STAR KEY. On the way back to the first control room I found revolver ammo that wasn't there before.

 

The Star Key opens the door in the S wall. Go down the passage and push the button to open the next door. Enter a room with a mirror-like floor and engage three soldiers. Pick up the large medipack, LARA CARD, flares (hard to see) and 2 x revolver ammo they leave behind, then go between the machines to the door in the E wall, which opens upon your approach. Shoot the wooden barriers and enter the blue-tinted N crawl space.

 

Shoot the first wooden barrier on your left and enter for flares on a steaming tile. Return to the corridor and shoot the next wooden barrier on your left for a large medipack. Finally, shoot the wooden barrier at the end of the corridor, leading to the room where you opened and closed the floor trap doors earlier. Take the CODE KEY from the plinth and return through the corridor to the room at the far end (you can get there faster by getting up onto one knee with the crouch key and then hitting the sprint and up arrow keys together). Turn left and enter the other crawl space. Pause at the corner for flares. You come to an apparent dead end, but you can shoot that E panel for SECRET #1.

 

Return to the room with the mirror-like floor and go between the machines to the door in the W wall, which also opens upon your approach. The next room beyond the passage seems at first glance not to present any productive activity, but you can shoot a number of the blocks (eight, to be exact) to clear the way for a pushblock puzzle. Starting as you enter the room facing W, pull the block to your right once to reveal a large medipack. Pull the NW block once E to reveal revolver ammo. Pull the SW block once N to reveal flares and another pushblock.

 

Push the previous block three times N to get it out of your way. Go to the current SW block and pull it two times N to reveal SECRET #2. Finally, pull the SE block one time E to reveal revolver ammo. The lone block in the middle of the room is also a pushblock, but it serves no useful purpose so return to the room with the mirror-like floor and find the staircase in the NW corner. Go up to the second level and find the self-opening door on your right (Port 01). Enter and go around the corner to confront laser traps in the connecting passage. Jump over the first, crawl under the second and come to two more self-opening doors. Shoot the soldier in the next room and take his BLUE ENERGY CRYSTAL.

 

Go through the NW doorway into a corridor with toxic gas. Turn right, follow around to a panel, shoot it for SECRET #3 and go back to replenish your health. Next, turn left and run down the long corridor. Turn left to where the air is fresher and then left again. Hop over the laser, take refuge around the corner ahead and come back when the laser is moving away to grab the CROWBAR. Continue along the winding corridor until you reach a room with a glass case. When you shoot it a door opens to Port 03.

 

Place the Blue Energy Crystal in the device inside, then reverse roll and go through the S opening. Follow to a transporter tile that takes you directly to Port 03. Run forward, turn right at the wall and go through the opened door into a hallway with side rooms blocked by lasers. Shoot two soldiers and pick up their large medipack and revolver ammo.  

 

The far wall consists of three pushblocks. Pull the one on the left three times onto the marked tile in front of the SE room. Pull the other two one time each and go around to pick up a large medipack and revolver ammo. Push the wall button to move something in the SE room, turning off the laser at the entrance. Squeeze past the pushblock into the room, pick up uzi ammo and the UZIS and exit to the hallway.

 

The lasers blocking the other rooms go off as you come close, so explore each room in turn. Most are empty, but in others you will find the LASER SIGHT (after shooting an alien plant in the corner), SECRET #4 (in a room with a blue plant garden) and a large medipack (in another blue plant garden). Exit N and continue straight across through the next door. Shoot the soldier inside, take his large medipack and find revolver ammo in the corner.

 

Enter a computer room, go all the way to the back and through the self-opening SE door. Run up the ramp, reverse roll onto the marked tile and sprint back as a boulder gives chase. Veer left as you enter the computer room and wait for the boulder to roll by. Go back up the ramp and pull down the wall switch at the top (cut scene of flames going out in a passage). Ignore the transporter for now, run back down the ramp to the computer room and go around the boulder into the NE passage (I think I'll stop mentioning self-opening doors). Follow around to SECRET #5 and return to the computer room.

 

Go up the ramp and step into that teleporter you ignored earlier. You're back in front of Port 02, so go on in and shoot the soldier in a small computer room. Grab his revolver ammo, pull the NW shelf for more revolver ammo and continue into the laser-protected SE passage for another CROWBAR. There's nothing beyond the laser, so turn around and return to the second-level walkway. Go around to the stacked crates against the N wall, push the button to activate an elevator and go up the SW stairs to the third level. There's a soldier behind the S door to Port 01, together with another CROWBAR (how many of them do we need?). The S wall panel is a crowbar door, so open it and enter a room with metallic walls and a central structure.

 

Pull the SE and NW pushblocks onto their respective marked floor tiles to turn off the lasers blocking the entrance to the central structure. But first, enter the NW passage and shoot the soldier in the next room. Go around to the other side of the column and insert the Lara Card in the receptacle to lower a block in the central structure in the previous room and provide access to a third pushblock. Go there, pull the pushblock out of the central structure and move it aside. Go on in for SECRET #6 and go back to where you placed the Lara Card.

 

Continue through the NW passage and open the crowbar door at the end. The next room is filled with toxic gas and is guarded by a soldier. Kill him, open the next crowbar door for instant relief and return to the toxic room to pick up the revolver ammo dropped by the soldier. Continue N to the next room where two more soldiers are waiting. One of them drops a large medipack. Open two more crowbar doors and come to a control room. Shoot the central glass case to expose the BATTERY.

 

Continue N into the next room, step onto a teleporter that takes you to an empty room, note the wooden barrier up in the SW corner and jump up and down to shoot it. Pull up into the crawl space and follow around to another wooden barrier. Funny, my pistols didn't seem to work here, so I shattered it with a revolver round. There's a soldier in the next room below, so dispatch him from up here. Drop down and place the battery in the receptacle. Pull up into the NW crawl space and deal with the soldier in the next room before dropping down.

 

Take a second CODE KEY from the plinth and exit N to a small room with a transporter that brings you just inside the entrance to Port 02. Run W down the corridor to attract another soldier, shoot him for an extra LASER SIGHT and continue to a room with revolver ammo in front of the next door. Get on the conveyor belt and ride it to the other end for a cut scene. Look up N with your binoculars and hit the action key to illuminate a brass ball. Shoot it and continue following the conveyor belt until you reach a W opening. Go on in to find a crowbar door at one end of the intersection and revolver ammo at the other.   

 

First, open the N crowbar door, take a step forward and open the floor trap door. Drop down into a lower room that's a smaller replica of one you visited earlier. Move the NE pushblock to the center of the room to lower the NW block and reveal SECRET #7. Use the pushblock to pull back out of this room and go to the S end of this corridor to face a series of flaming pillars.

 

First, shoot the wooden grate in the opposite wall, then jump up and grab the ceiling. Monkey swing S, timing your way past the three pillars, release when you reach the far wall and grab the crawl space. Pull inside and proceed to a room with stacked crates. Continue into a passage, for maximum kills turn left into a room occupied only by a soldier, and go S through a control room filled with toxic gas. Sprint down the next corridor, taking refuge in an alcove to your left to restore your health bar temporarily. Continue into a control room, hop onto the central block, reverse roll and take a running jump to activate the E jumpswitch. Reverse roll again and sprint into the W passage to restore your health bar before going back for a third CODE KEY where the block lowered.

 

Continue W to a teleporter that brings you to the Port 03 entrance. Turn around and go along the outer walkway to the dark NW corner, light a flare to see the hanging brass ball and shoot it. Go around to Port 01 in the E wall for a spare LASER SIGHT if you like, enter the passage to draw out two soldiers and continue to a lounge. In the adjoining lounge two more soldiers are waiting. One drops a large medipack, the other revolver ammo that may prove impossible to pick up in the cramped quarters (try retreating to the first lounge and wait for him to come to you).     

 

Enter the NW latrine, stand in front of the commode and jump up to open the ceiling trap door. Face the S wall and jump up, using the antigravity boost to grab a crawl space. Pull inside, crawl through and drop down the other end, being mindful of the flaming floor. There's a pushblock across the room. Push it two times W, get up on it and take a running jump into the SW opening. Grab the MOSAIC from the plinth at the end of the short passage, jump back to the pushblock, move it back to its original position and use it to jump to grab the crawl space.

 

Return to the lounge, loop around left and place the Mosaic in the SE panel to open the door beside you. Push the button to open the next door and wait for the flames dotting the floor in the room you just left to go out. Enter the room, find a new pushblock to your right in the NW corner and push it two times to reveal SECRET #8. Get on the pushblock, hop down the other side onto a transporter and find yourself just inside the Port 02 corridor.

 

Turn around and go along the outer walkway to the NE corner. Go up the stairs to the fourth level and find the doorway to Port 03 in the E wall. Go to the end of the corridor, turn left up more steps and enter a large green-tinted room filled with deadly water. Hop over the blocks to your right and left and push both buttons to raise a nearby block and lower three ropes. Now you can get across, by using the raised block to jump to the first rope and swinging along the other ropes to the block jutting from the N wall. Pick up the fourth CODE KEY, turn right and jump to grab the E opening.

 

Pull up and follow the corridor to an adjoining corridor filled with toxic gas. Sprint to the end, open the crowbar door to your left and follow to a small control room guarded by a soldier. Continue E and follow the corridor to a transporter that brings you in front of Port 03. Go around the walkway to Port 01, enter and follow to a large hanger where five soldiers are waiting.

 

Go to the middle of the W wall and activate the jumpswitch between two machines. The door to Port 02 opens, so return to the outer walkway, turn right and go S through the Port 02 corridor to find yourself on the bridge. The control room to your left is blocked by lasers, but you can shoot the opposite glass panel to enter the other control room. Go inside and push the timed NW button to shut off those lasers. Sprint to the adjacent control room and find a pushblock in the E wall. Pull it into the control room and go around to find a large medipack in the revealed alcove.

 

Move the pushblock underneath a higher pushblock in the N wall. Push the second pushblock into an alcove, where it disintegrates. Shoot the N panel for SECRET #9 and the E panel to provide access to a transporter. Hop down onto it to find yourself in the room with the mirror-like floor. Place the four Code Keys in the receptacles to open the door between them. Proceed to the shuttle bay docking area, shoot four soldiers and run toward the shuttle to end the level.
