This walkthrough is written based on version 2. It is just my assumed route. There are many other ways to proceed, so find your own and enjoy♪

 

Level 1: Search for Shangri-la  (4 Secrets, 4 Coin Purses)

The Beginning of the Adventure

The level opens with a cut scene of Lara climbing a snowy cliff then being trapped by an avalanche… in the year 2020 somewhere in Tibet. Follow the snowy corridor to the end. Then a text shows 'Collect medipacks as much as possible! Or...maybe more important item?' Important item is a belly band, and you have to collect Coin Purses to buy it. (I think it's better to collect all four Coin Purses in this stage.)

Jump SW and pickup the shotgun ammo. Run NW and take a running jump NW to the slope below and grab the edge while sliding. Let go and continue the slide to the bottom. Reverse roll and run the corridor, you'll notice there’s an opening South, but that's for later. A few more run then turn left(N), along the short corridor, step into an big cave triggers the flyby which shows the red gates far north, ends with a floor lever. So the goal of this level is to open the red doors with that floor lever.

 

No secrets and minimum pickups course

After the flyby, turn right(E), ahead to the most E edge. Face NE, take a running jump to the block a little below. Go straight N, climb the block, reverse roll then off the block. Turn around, take a running jump to the next block, angle NW then take a running jump to the right slope, immediately another jump. You land on a flat(slope) place. Another running jump NW to the second slope that is not slide. Pick up 2 x uzi ammo and small medipack in the alcove. Proceed N, you'll get a cut scene of blue rose that is the 4th secret. Use a floor lever to see the red gates opening. Turn around, ahead S (with the cut scene of disappearing the blue rose). Take a running jump back to the previous place. You'll find the block lowered. So go into the small cave N, you'll hear the howling of the tigers. Take a running jump SE to the upper slope, straight up to get a small medipack. Reverse roll, run off the slope N and arm weapons, shoot the three tigers. Run along the path, proceed N to the end of the cave, climb the N block and pickup the flares by the Christmas tree. Run off the block, go W go N to exit this small cave, take a running jump NE path. follow the path and go through the red doors to go to the 2nd level.

 

All secrets and pickups course : This level is more efficient to get around if you take the Snow Mountain Secret.

 

After the flyby, turn around, follow the S path and backtrack to the opening South. Take a running jump SE to the pillar, another running jump SW to the next pillar past over the one in front of you. Once you land, stand a little to the left of the right edge of the pillar, then take a running jump to the W steep slope, then jump forward (slightly towards left) over another gap and continue running as snow boulders fall. (If you slide down the slope to the bottom : Run NE (not towards high pillars area), climb the N block once, W block twice, S block once where a large medipack is.)  Once you've avoided the two snowballs, take a running jump to the next slope with steps, continue running jump NW as the snow boulder fall. At this point, jump bump into a wall, you can land well. Jump W over the gap, pick up a large medipack, climb up S block, hop on E block, climb up S block. You can see the opening, but you'd better go there when you get a powerful weapon. Turn right(W), 3 steps up, turn right(N) 2 steps up, face NW, take a running jump with grab to the slope, shimmy right and pull up. Head into the small cave, note for later N wall. Turn right(E), go through the corridor and climb the block to pickup the SHOTGUN. Roll down to E and pull the lever on the block to get a cut scene of snow tiles going up. Go back to cave entrance and look up N to see the block disappear. Climb up 2 blocks, roll down to N, take a running jump to SE block, pick up a large medipack, drop down, enter S corridor. Follow the path, you'll find the 1st SECRET, BLUE ROSE on the NE block. Pick it up, and you can see the 3rd blue rose through the gap. Drop down, pickup a large medipack on the ground and pull the lever lowering a snowy block outside.  Climb out, head W, then N, hop on W block. Face S, jump up and grab the ledge above and climb up. A note appears saying “I think I can roll down here”. Drop down, then CROUCH + ROLL(or JUMP) to roll down, run straight S, land on the place where the block lowered. Pick up 2 x Uzi ammo and a large medipack. From here, you can slide down the E slope to land on the place where the large mecipack was, but lara loses her life there, so I prefer using the snow tiles. Turn around, walk to N edge, jump forward to grab the edge above, pull up, walk to SW corner, jump forward to the snow tile, continue running and jump to the next snow tile, keep running, down the steps thrice. Take a running jump to S opening, arm shotgun while turning left(E), shoot the Tiger and pick up the shotgun ammo he leaves behind. Head to the end of the corridor, pick up flares on the dark reddish brown floor with traces of lowered block. Back to the opening N, take a running jump through the upper part of "△" (not to hit your head) and grab across the cavern and pull up. 3 steps up to W, 2 steps up to N, turn right(E), jump up E block twice, reverse roll, go to SW corner of the block, jump forward NW, go to NW corner, face N, jump up to the higher ledge.

 

Snowy Mountains

Proceed E, take a running jump NE to a flat spot between two slopes. Go to NE corner, face SE, jump over the slope. Face NE, take a running jump to the mountain ridge. Now you are at the place of the load screen. Slide down the slope for a little over a second and then jump, otherwise, Lara will stuck in the slope. (Sorry for bad terrain.^^;) Run straight N, then right(E), pick up a small medipack, reverse roll, jump over the W slope, run up the slope SW, face NW, jump up the slope where a small medipack is. Pick it up to release the spikes North. Take a running jump to the middle small hill, keep running and jump to the N small hill, keep running and jump to NE ledge, a little lower than both sides. Move on E block, face S, take a running jump to the slope where you can walk. Face E, take a running jump over the distorted slopes, move on the next floor to pick up the UZIS to trigger the Eagle. Shoot it from where you are. If the eagle disappears from your sight, jump back to the first W slope, you'll find him. After you took out the eagle, a cut scene shows a pale purple block rise. Jump back to the first W slope, if you've not yet. Walk to W edge with the most N side, face W, take a running jump to the W small hill as I made it only the way back to have strong winds, so you can reach the other side by jumping. Keep running and jump to the middle small hill where the ice spikes retracted. Continue running and jump to the S small hill, keep running, and finally jump to the SE slope. You'll land on the floor where a small medipack is. Pick it up, reverse roll, proceed the pathway, run up the N gentle slope, over the slopes twice, hop on the pale purple block. Face N, take a running jump to the short mountain path, keep running jump to avoid snow boulders. Carefully walk to NE edge, face NE, jump forward, running jump to the right(S) slope, back flip to the N slope, shimmy left(E), pull up and walk to E edge (slightly left side of the block), take a running jump over NE slope, slide to the floor a large medipack is. Move on N block, face NE and arm weapons, jump forward to take a running jump to NE high area to shoot two Eagles. Pick up 2 x shotgun ammo, 2 x uzi ammo and the 2nd SECRET, BLUE ROSE there. Slide down the slope, pick up a large medipack near the big hole.

 

Inside the Cavern

Safety drop to the top of snow-covered small mountain (some health loss). Pick up a small medipack, face NW and down the hill a little, then to the NE corner. Take a running jump to the NE block a little below. Move on SE corner. Take a running jump + Action key to the reddish purple block below (some health loss). Crawl a bit, stand up, face NE, jump forward. Go N, turn left(W), climb the block, pick up the 1st Coin Purse by the Christmas tree in the alcove. Back to E, face SW, Jump forward aiming slightly to the right of the diagonal line. Face W, Side jump, step right a bit, face slightly SW, jump over the slope. Take a running jump to W rock, go SW point where you can stand, take a running jump to a flat rock, climb up W, go straight a bit, then NW corner.

 

Explore the area around the cave

Beyond the black shadows, you see a blue-green rock wall. Light a flare, take a running jump + Action to the black shadow. You'll land on an alcove. Pick up a large medipack, shotgun ammo and uzi ammo. Go W, turn left(S), climb the block the spikes retracted, jump and grab E ledge above, pull up, go SW path, face SE, take a running jump with the intention of leaping over the reddish rocks. Keep running and jump with the intention of landing on the bottom left of the yellowish rock. Face SW, jump forward to that yellowish rock, climb W rock, turn left(S), proceed the pathway, pick up flares in the bluish alcove, back a bit, walk to E edge, face SE. Take a running jump + Action key to land on the E ledge(middle). (or Take a running jump to directly land on the E highest ledge.) Go E and take a running jump to E rock below.

Turn left(N), head a little, you'll see the 4th Coin Purse over there in the yellowish light. Turn right(E), light a flare and throw it to brighten the dark cave. Arm weapons, enter the small cave, shoot the Tiger, pick up the shotgun ammo he leaves and a large medipack at the far end of the cave. Exit the cave, face NE, jump to the rock a large medipack is. Pick it up, jump up S rock, go NE corner, jump up NE rock. (Or jump + Action to grab the edge of NE rock.) Face SE, take a running jump leaping over the slope to grab (or directly land on) the SE block. While grabbing the rock, you'll notice the Christmas tree in the rock far below. The 3rd Coin Purse is there. Pull up, go SW, take a running jump to the slope. Pickup a small medipack in the alcove on the right. Go back to the slope, jump forward to NW triangular space of the slope, down a bit, face NE, jump up to the next block, head N, then W, pick up the 2nd Coin Purse there. Go N, pick up shotgun ammo, turn around, go back to S, stand on the rightmost side of the slope in the middle of the S end. Take a running jump to the next S ledge. (If you can't, refer to my video walk at 17:05. Or see "If you can't" a little below.)  Go a bit, jump forward to land on the floor a small medipack is. Pick it up, take a running jump to the SE blue rock a little below.

 

If you can't, drop down to the slope below, go a little, jump forward to SW slanted block, take a running jump + Action to land in an bluish alcove ahead, move on SE path, crawl a bit, stand and jump forward to SW block. Face SE, take a running jump over the slope to SE ledge. Follow up the stairs, take a running jump to the place a large medipack is far below. (some health loss)

 

Mountain in the center of the south cave

Take a running jump to E depression of the snow-covered small mountain. Sidestep to the very end of N, face SE, take a running jump to the slope a large medipack is. Pick it up, move on E block, then N, climb the block, go W, then N, you'll find the 3rd SECRET, BLUE ROSE you saw from the gap. Pick it up, jump forward to N, run a bit, turn right(E), jump forward to keep running jump to go to the E mountain using two snow tiles.

 

East side of the cave

Proceed N, you'll find flares in a bluish depression of the mountain, pick it up, go W, around the corner and move on N. (if you slide the W mini slope, you'll see the boulders falling.) Run N and Jump + Roll over the slope to NW, while sliding press Action to successfully land on the location the 4th SECRET, BLUE ROSE is. Pick it up, arm weapons, enter the S small cave, shoot three Tigers. Pick up 2 x shotgun ammo and a large medipack. Go S to enter the back of the cave, go to the E end of the narrow path, climb the S block, face SW, jump forward, run up the gentle slope, pick up a small medipack, reverse roll and return to the N previous room. Proceed the pathway, climb the N block, pick up flares by the Christmas tree in the alcove, off the block, go to the N entrance/exit of this cave.

 

Activate the spikes to stop it.

Climb the N block, slide the slope triggers spikes. Head W careful to avoid the spikes to the end and turn right(N), run up the slope, jump ahead to the N short path. Turn left(W), ahead the pathway 3 squares, turn left(S), drop off to the alcove, pick up a large medipack to see a cut scene of a block lowering to reveal the floor lever. Slide down W then head S careful of the spikes. Hop on the S block, slide down the slope, go South 2 squares 1 East, face NE, take a running jump leaping over the slope, face SE, take a running jump when the spikes retracted. Walk up the slope as far as possible, face SE, take a running jump to the dark triangular opening in the rock face where some rumbling occurs. Drop down into the cave. The 3rd Coin purse is on the floor. Pick it up then a large medipack under the Christmas tree you saw while hanging from the upper rock. Face NE, jump out to the slope, immediately jump again to avoid spikes to land on a safe tile. Turn right(S) proceed the wide path for a while to find a narrow path East. Follow the path to see the red light floor where spikes have receded. Enter the N alcove to use the floor lever to shut off the spikes. Pull up W and pick up the large medipack and flares. Drop down the block, exit this small cave to E, go up the rock mountain SE, climb the E block twice, N once, move on two squares North, climb the S block, then take a running jump to N block. Climb the block, run N, NW looking to the right passing by the place where the flares were, continue NW, this time, not to the slope, but most NW ledge.

 

Into the strange rocks

From here, you can see there's a mountain ridge-like line over there. Face N, take a running jump to the blue rock, you'll slide down the slope to the non-slip slope. Go to NW corner, take a running jump to the bluish slope. Lara will lose her health a bit as the boulders fall. Take a running jump to N pillar, another running jump to the next pillar, climb the W block to enter the strangely shaped rocks. Turn left(S), move on 2 squares, drop down left(E), walk to the S edge. Face slightly SW, jump forward to the slope, immediately jump forward to the right flat surface. Move on N rock, pick up the 4th Coin Purse in the yellowish light to roll down the rocks to allow you to go there. Hop back to S block, take a running jump to that blue slope rock. Go N, pick up a large medipack, enter again the strangely shaped rocks. Go E, a text shows 'I think I can roll down here.', go to E end, Crouch + Roll or Jump to drop down to E pillar.

 

Open the exit door to the next level

You'll notice 4 snow tiles appear. Take a running jump to SE pillar, and another running jump to the snow tile, keep running jump to E ledge. Go N, a cut scene shows the entrance of the small cave where the 4th Blue Rose was. The mysterious music indicates disappearing the blue rose if you use the lever before you get it. Since you already got the secret, pull the floor lever opening two red doors. Turn around, go S, enter an alcove E, pick up 2 x Uzi ammo and a small medipack. Hop back, take a running jump to SE rock. Enter the small cave as the block lowered.  Safety drop to the ground or take a running jump to SE slope then slide down, either way, get down and head to the N exit. Climb the exit N block, go to NE corner, take a running jump to East path, Follow the path and exit via the two red doors into the next level.

 

Level 2: A little detour?  (4 Secrets, 7 Coin Purses)

From the red doors, head E to enter another room, run a bit (about 2 squares), rotate 90 degrees, face SW, take a running jump to the higher path by the wall. Go S, jump forward to S path. From here, except the challengers skip the next paragraph go to 'Indy's Cave'.

 

(If you will dare challenge the 'Speed run', follow the path, turn right(S) to an S opening, climb the ledge to out into the snowy mountain. Run forward, then you'll drift away into an alcove, face SE, take a running jump + Action to land on a collapsible snow tile below.(Maybe you need to change direction while flying.) Take another running jump + Action to the next snow tile. (Use the short cut for medipack while jumping.) Take a running jump to a lower snow block below, to a middle snow pillar, take a running jump + Action to grab the edge of the SW high pillar(the raised block). Take a running jump to SW ledge, climb W alcove, face SE, jump forward to the other side of the slope. Run the pathway, keep running as the snowball will rolling, jump to NE ledge, quickly run N as another snowball will fall. Climb N block twice, watch out for the icicles, jump forward N falls another icicles. Climb W block where the revolver is. Hop on S block where a large medipack is. Face NW, hop out to the slope, take a running jump to SW aiming V point.  Keep running up the gentle slope to SE and jump to the white ledge a little higher. Keep running jump to SE, run and turn around to face SW, take a running jump to the slope to the next level.  Starts at 47:49 in the Part 2 video.)

 

Indy’s Cave (1 Secret, 2 Coin Purses)

Follow the path to the E very end. Stand at the most left side of the ledge, face very slightly SE, drop down to the below slope, immediately jump forward + Action to grab the E edge, shimmy right a little as it's easier to succeed. Pull up, slide down the slope, the warning music will play, jump forward (with a curve left) to the collapsible tile, run W (or directly land on the W block), climb the W block, pick up the flares. Climb the N rock, head N, pull up onto a sloped block, while sliding, press →key to land on the next slope backwards. At the next sliding, press Action to land on the very end of E of the collapsible tile. Slide backwards the slope, grab the edge, climb down the ladder, release Action a second, then press Action to grab the edge of the block below. Pull up, reverse roll, take a running jump + Action into the water. Swim through the corridor, you'll emerge into a cave with an impressive red light. Up from the water to the island where Indy's corpse lies without his hat and whip. I recommend to pick up a large medipack first, then Indy's Diary.

 

  “I seem to have lost my lighter by the avalanche I encountered the other day.

    I heard that there is an entrance to the Utopia near here, but it does not seem to be here.

   Still, I am curious about that red ray leaking from the ceiling.”

 

When you close the diary, Lara will stare at woods on a small island to the SW. Take a running jump to there and pickup a TORCH STICK. (If Lara walks in place and doesn't pick up the torch, crouch then Action to pick it up.) Face NE, take a running jump to the main islet, keep running jump to NE ledge, continue running jump to the islet near the red beam. Close to N gap, toss the torch through it, a mysterious music plays and the wooden bridges appear in the water. They are drifting on the surface of the water, making it rather dangerous. That's true. You can't cross that bridge. It's just a reflection of the ladder on the ceiling. Go to W, face a little slightly NW, side jump to the slope, jump forward to grab the ceiling. Monkey swing W and drop onto the ledge.  As the pebbles indicates there's no current at the W end, go W and fall in water. Swim through the underwater corridor, pull the ceiling lever to get a cut scene of lowering the spikes beyond a large medipack. Swim back the corridor, swim to N ledge, pull up, climb N block, slide the slopes, go S and pick up the large medipack and the 5th SECRET, BLUE ROSE in the alcove. Climb out E back to the main cave. Take a running jump to E ledge, hop into SE alcove, retrieve the torch you tossed eariler. Hop back to the ledge, take a running jump to W ledge. Go to SE corner of the ledge, jump forward into the red beam, you'll land on a cave above. Drop the torch in a safe place, hop on SW block, crouch down backwards through the crevice to a blueish cave. Pickup a large medipack in the S small blue alcove. Return to the NE crevice. Stick to the N wall, jump and grab the edge, find the point you can pull up using Crouch or ↑ key or both. Pick up the torch, hop on the SE ledge, run the way careful to avoid the spike tiles, then hop on the center column, press Action to light the torch. Run down to the ground, keep running, up the gentle slope, head N and stop before the hole. Reverse roll to land on the slope, when you land on a collapsible tile, take a running jump to S ledge, keep running through another collapsible tile, jump to SE leaping over the slope. Keep running, jump to SE ledge, keep running, and when you jump to the SW main islet, the text will appear. "I think I should save around here...but! except the firewood's place." So save your data and keep running to the firewood. Light the wood pile with the torch to lower a block for exit in the water. (As the text shows, If the block does not go down, load the latest savedata. And try again, please.) And you heard the sound of the spikes' releasing when the block was lowering, I think. So dive into the water, swim back through the underwater corridor you came, surface up to the floor the spikes retracted. Push the block two squares to the E, climb S block, run up the gentle slope, go E and pick up the 5th Coin Purse to lower the W block, go there and pick up a large medipack in the blue light alcove. Back to the corridor, go S, pick up the 6th Coin Purse to release the E spikes in the alcove over there. Drop down, pick up a small medipack on the S floor, dive into the water, swim straight to N, surface to W block, take a running jump to N ledge to pick up the flares. Reverse roll, take a running jump to S ledge, drop into the water, swim W through triangular corridor. When you finish the triangular passage, turn left twice, swim into the under corridor. Along the passage to W end while releasing the spikes, swim upwards a little then U-turn, follow the S corridor. Surface up to S ledge to pick up a small medipack, reverse roll, take a running jump to N stairs releasing the spikes ahead. Keep up the stairs, continue around the corridor then climb the S block, slide the slope to back to the familiar place.

 

Now to the snowy mountains.

Back to the W (that is the first room with 2 red doors). Go straight to W(but not to the red doors), climb the S block, head down the passage to enter another room. Go straight S, go E and drop to the alcove with Christmas tree and the Sleeping Tiger(friendly) with Santa hat. Pick up the shotgun ammo under the tree, hop out to W, run N, E. Run up the slopes, jump forward the last slope, and slide straight to the other side, run through to SE corner of this room, climb E block twice, arm weapons and take out the Tiger, then pick up the SHOTGUN. Down the snow hill to SE a little to roll snow boulders. Again down the hill this time to S end to fall the last snow boulder to get a cut scene of that snowball hits something(the sheath of a Japanese sword) and shatters. Now you can down the hill without worrying. Go S and E to the left of the slope, and you will see a small medipack in the pale blue light in the SE direction. Once you've confirmed that, go back to near where the shotgun was.  There are several places you'll reach the slope-floor a small medipack is. Take a running jump to it. Duck to avoid the snowball and pick up that small medipack. Take a running jump to SE ramp a snowball is about to roll. Keep running and jump to the left slope(NE direction). Do not jump(backflip) on that slope at this time. For the second snowball, side jump right and left consecutively. Hop on S ramp twice, head up the slope, go NE corner, jump forward over the slope, slide down then jump over the spikes to a safe snow floor. Go NW corner, jump forward then run to avoid the snowball. Face N, jump forward, side jump left, keep jumping twice, the last one, slide the slope to the place a large medipack is. Pick it up, step back to the very SE corner and face NW, jump forward and a running jump leaping over the spikes tiles.  Take a running jump to the block the 6th SECRET, BLUE ROSE is.  (If you fallen down the slope, you can continue on to the third level. Part 2 video, starts at 13:05.)  Pick up the Blue Rose, run up the W slope then take a running jump to grab the edge of the S slope, slide down, hop on S ramps twice, another jump forward over the slope, go to SE corner, take a running jump + Action to the pale blue light block where the small medipack on it you saw earlier. (It's better to press the action key with a slight delay.)  You'll get a cut scene of the block lowering. Pick up the small medipack, walk to SW edge, jump forward to the depression, go W, face N, take a running jump + Action to the slope, keep pressing Action to land on the ledge below where the block lowered. Dash the corridor to conserve health, pick up the small medipack under a light purple snowball. Back a little, take a running jump over the ice spikes triggering the snowball and lowering an ice block ahead. Go W to see another block's lowering.

 

Small demons' Hide out

Take a running jump to there(SW), run W into the cold water. Swim W, pull up onto a ledge to release the spikes. Hop on W block, side jump to the right block, take a running jump to the SE gentle slope, keep running and jump to W over the water, along the blue corridor, you'll enter another room. You can use the jump switch located in front of the left(E) icicles, but... well, let's save it for later. Go to before the right icicles, run under the small icicle to drop them, jump over the icicles and slide the slope. Proceed the wide pathway passing by kamakura (Igloo hut) in the S, straight to W square where the small demons doing trades. If you've followed the walkthrough so far, you should have six Coin Purses. First save your data and enjoy shopping. The stall to the right of the bonfire seems to be a souvenir shop. I recommend buying a hanging scroll there and a piece of stick at the stick shop behind the bonfire. After you have enjoyed shopping, load the savedata, turn around, go back to the place of kamakura. There are 5 kamakuras. Check each one how many small demons in it  for clues to the next puzzle:

      Leftmost front --- 1 small demon, baking rice cakes in a blue hibachi (brazier)

      Second from the left ---  2 small demons, eating mandarin oranges in the kotatsu

      Center ---  3 small demons, playing “Karuta (cards)” in the kotatsu

      Far right --- 4 small demons, eating mandarin oranges in the kotatsu

      Rightmost front --- 5 small demons, baking rice cakes in a blue hibachi

OK, head into the S corridor. When you near the E dark room, a music plays inform you something dangerous happens. That's true. If you enter the room without any concern, a red flash and your health will decrease slightly. It means you have to land on the correct place in order. But don't worry too much, as each correct tile has some leeway around it. First, take a running jump to NE blue hibachi, then take a running jump to SE orange, take a running jump to SW karuta, take a two step running jump to SE orange, or go SE corner of the box of cards and step forwards once then jump forward to SE orange, jump back to the box of cards by the same way, go SW corner of the box of the cards, jump forwards to the blue hibachi. If you did it perfectly, there’s no explosion, a block lowered and you will gain a large medipack. If you got the explosion and saw the block lower, you will lose some health and no medipack. If successful, a green flash when you leave the room. Return to the kamakura room, go NW corner, climb N ledge where the block lowered, reverse roll, climb S ledge, through the corridor, save your data under a blue snowball. Run and dash aiming the right (W) opening (another corridor) as the snowball rolls down. The west corridor has icicles, so make sure you stop at the leftmost of the wall. Enter N room with 2 kamakuras. Crouch and pickup the mandarin orange in the left kamakura to release the spikes located in the exit, crouch and pickup the Hibashi iron chopsticks in the right kamakura shows a text:This item seems to need another one to combine with. Go to the place with the spikes trails to lower the snow block, move on N to lower another block to back to the main market. Head to NW, noting for later the fallen sign board.  Purchase a fish (Little barracuda) from the small demon in the NW near the white belt conveyor, combine with the hibashi iron chopsticks to make a Little barracuda with stick. Head to SE bonfire (not the one with a small demon fanning a flame), a text will show: Press Action Key. So press Action to roast it on the fire, you will get a grilled barracuda. Go SE where the small demon is dreaming of a mandarin orange in front of the door. Give him he wants to open the door.

 

Treasure room

If you destroy the red panel on the S wall (a little health loss), your health will decrease every time you load it, but the recovery floors of Chinese phoenix will appear on some places, eventually it will come in handy. Pick up the flares in the corridor, climb the block, pick up the REVOLVER just down the block. Go W along the corridor and you will come to the place of the load screen. Back a little, stand to the right of the orange speckled ramp, face S, jump forward over the slope to land on a healing station. Go SE to pick up the LASER SIGHT, pick up 2 x shotgun ammo on the adjacent tile. When you land on the walkway, a text shows: I think I should save around here just in case.... So save your data now or a little later. Go S then E, go to NE corner (I think it's the best place to shoot.), press P to open Options, change Automatic to Manual in the Targeting setting. Arm the shotgun, shoot the NE red panel with five gold coins. (Yes, those are meant to be coins. The red one I made it in the image of blood. So the concept is the fruit of blood and sweat.) Face N, shoot another red panel with 5 coins, turn left(W), go to the light green lift, shoot the W red panel with 5 coins. Return to the middle of the walkway, go to E edge, face SE, combine the Revolver with the Laser Sight. I think it's the time you save the data. Shoot his 'dream of coins' with one shot to wake him up. When he jumps up and walks to the treasure chest, you should head South to give the sleeping small demon he wants. This time you get on the lift right away not to watch him walk away to eat it. Go down the lift, watching the small demon push the treasure chest onto the lift over there. Tip the supply cart to drop off the treasure chest. Pull it twice to N, push it once to W to form the pattern of the “Yen” currency waking up the small demon at the igloo who walks to use the white small lever to lower the wooden bridges. Now you can exit this hide out. Head to NW back room, behind the white cart, face NE, arm shotgun and destroy the 4th red panel with 5 coins. Get on the lift and off at the recovery floor with Chinese phoenix picture in the alcove. Destroy the last red panel to get a cut scene of the bridge's descending near the wooden ladder. Take the lift back up to the top, run the walkway to climb N block, reverse roll and safety drop to that descended bridge. Turn around and pick up the 7th SECRET, BLUE ROSE surrounded by yellow balls (intended to be phoenix eggs) hatch them. Climb the ladder, backflip to the slope, move on to the phoenix, climb N to slide the slope, along the corridor and return to the main market.

 

Get a Belly Band.

Go to the variety stall in the NE corner,  purchase the Orange Skistock and the Blauer Skistock (cost = 4 coin purses). Head to E wide path, run up the wooden bridge. That's the cheering small demon over there. Climbing up here is a bit tricky, so I asked him to make an appearance. Please jump when you come to near the top of the bridge. Go to the jump switch located north of the E icicles. Use it to appear a snow tile and lowering two ice blocks outside. Follow the corridor, keep running and jump over the cold water to E ledge. You see the block in front is raising and the block at the back is lowering revealing a large medipack in the exit. But do not go there, take a running jump to the block with moss green spike traces. Go to NW corner, jump forward + Action to grab the block, pull up and take a running jump to the collapsible snow tile, keep running and jump + ←key to curve left onto the phoenix tile. Side jump down into an alcove with two unfortunate skiers. Place the Orange and Blue Ski Poles at the broken ski boards and pickup the BELLY BAND (Wear the Belly Band). Quickly put ON the belly belt to stop health loss. Climb the W ledge, hop on to the phoenix block and running jump to SE corridor. Follow the path, you'll come to another ice cave many snow tiles are and the recovery floor in front of you. From here, too, there are two different courses. If you're not interested in the event, skip the next paragraph, go to the Secret Course.

 

Event Course

Take a running jump to the snow tile, keep running and jump and at the 4th tile, you have to land on the left corner of this tile, changing the direction to NW while running and jump to a small hill the 7th Coin Purse is. Pick it up, take a running jump to SW snow tile, keep running and jump to S opening above the ladder. Slide the slope, you will get a cut scene of small demons' turn over in surprise and bonfires are extinguished by Lara's splash. Re-wear the Belly Band and swim for a bit (because if you go ashore right away, the text will show up and overlap with the event), surface up to S ledge, quickly run straight then reverse roll behind the rice cake shop, throw a coin purse to N, before the sign boards fall down. The small demons, who had been enjoying fishing, picked up the coins and happily returned to their respective places. The remaining small demons (who warmed themselves up by the bonfire) are still attacking you, while you get a cut scene of the spikes is released where a coin purse is. Once you're free to move. go SE to the fallen sign board. Now is the time to pick it up. When you pick it up, it will break and fall, so pick up the stick (Torch). Ignite the torch and light the both bonfires that have been extinguished by the splashing water. The remaining small demons also go back to their places and chatting around the fire. So you've done everything in the event course. Then let's try the Secret Course.

 

Secret Course

Take a running jump to the snow tile, keep running and jump and at the 4th tile, you have to land on the right side of this tile, changing the direction to SE while running and jump to SE slope to land on a snow tile, side jump right to the S ledge, reverse roll, jump over the W slope, follow the path, pick up the flares under the white Christmas tree. Go back the pathway, take a running jump using a snow tile to E ladder. Climb it, turn right(S), proceed the corridor, through under 3 icicles to pick up a large medipack. Face NW, follow the path to the end then climb into S crawlspace. There are closed stalls in the back of this room. Go to SW corner to pick up a large medipack under the Christmas tree. Enter the alcove in the N wall and pickup the 7th Coin Purse by the white tree. Pick up the shotgun ammo and Uzi ammo on the floor next to this. Drop down to the E hole, reverse roll, another drop down the hole in the middle of its room. You will land on the familiar small hill, pick up the 8th SECRET, BLUE ROSE and watch a cutscene of spikes retracting where a coin purse is. Slide down the hill, if possible to W, then slide to S to get an small event. Pass over the recovery floor and head W to the market. On the W wall diagonally behind the left side of the snowball stall, there is an entrance to the small cave that you saw earlier on the cut scene. Climb there and pickup the 8th Coin Purse on the retracted spike tile. Exit the cave back to the market. 

 

Exploring the Cold Water

Head to NE and dive in. Swim NE and down near the pink coral, swim to SE corner 3 coloured corals are and dive down there. Note the skull lying in the ground, swim E for an opening in the ceiling. Pull up and pick up the HARPOON GUN, 2 x harpoon ammo and large medipack. Stand in front of the hole facing W and press P to open Options to change Manual to Automatic. Dive in and swim to SW corner's phoenix tile, reverse roll and arm the harpoon gun, take out the Barracuda. You can swim back to the E hole for air, or swim straight to S room to shoot another Barracuda. Either way, swim to SW corner's recovery tile and take him out. Swim to E and surface up to a small room with white tree. Pick up a large medipack, the 9th Coin Purse and 2 x harpoon ammo. Fall in the water, swim N back to the 1st small room, pull the white switch on the wall. All the icicles in the area where you see the brown rock on the left of the screen will fall. Drop down into the water, swim W, swim up the hole where the skull is lying. Continue W then NW over the fallen icicles towards the turquoise light. Pull the underwater switch in the ceiling in the NW corner. Swim SE and down into the hole, pickup the 10th Coin Purse on the brown block. Swim back over the fallen icicles, swim E through the narrow corridor, seeing the white Christmas tree on the left, swim up the hole pink coral is, swim SW and surface up to the market. Jump back to the water, swim S between pale blue and green corals. When you find the gap, turn to SE, through the gap to E, follow the path, pick up the 11th Coin Purse under the white tree. Swim back and surface up to the market.

 

Last minute shopping

Straight head to the rice cake stall, purchase a Rice cake, then go SW the special drink stand to buy a Special Soup for its pretty visual. Then further SW, purchase a Snowball for fun.(Although it'll turn into a Melted Snowball soon.) So you have 2 coin purses left.

Let me explain a little about the coin purse.

When you give it to the small demon of the Spikes Hell in the 3rd level, the spike will be released according to the number of coin purses you give him. Two spikes are released for each coin purse. Since this game has 16 coin purses in total, I made a setup accordingly, which means 32 spikes will be released. But somehow, 8-15 coin purses won't work. Up to seven of them will release the spikes properly. So it is recommended to leave two coin purses.

Exit the market, follow the wide pathway, run up and jump the wooden bridges, along the corridor, jump over the water to E ledge. This time, take a running jump to E block, jump forward to E exit, pick up a large medipack, jump forward to E block outside.

 

Exit this mountain to the next level

Take a running jump to SW ledge, climb W alcove, face SE, jump forward to the other side of the slope. Run the pathway, keep running as the snowball will rolling, jump to NE ledge, quickly run N as another snowball will fall. Climb N block twice, watch out for the icicles, jump forward N falls another icicles. Climb W block, pick up the REVOLVER. Hop on S block where a large medipack is, pick it up and look at the W “window”. You will see a reindeer with a sleigh going across with the moon in the background. Hop out to the slope, take a running jump to SW aiming “V” point.  Keep running up the slope to SE and jump to the white ledge a little higher. Go E then S, run down to the last recovery spot to pick up a small medipack. Head to W, hop on the ledge, slide the slope to the next level.

Main Cold Water Pool

When you fall into the water, swim straight W then turn left a little to lure a barracuda, swim N to surface up to the ledge. Immediately re-use your Belly Band and shoot the Barracuda. Follow the shelves along the wall in a counterclockwise direction. Drop into the depression in the SW corner to pick up a large medipack, LASER SIGHT and the revolver ammo. Climb the block to E, go to NE corner, jump forward into the water, face NW, shoot the Barracuda in the alcove with the revolver + laser sight. Swim there, pick up the 12th Coin Purse. Swim E, down to N to pick up the 13th Coin Purse 3th under the white tree. Swim S a little, then SW into an underwater corridor. Along the path, you will emerge into a small cave where cold sake cooling in the water. Pickup the flares. (The closed door beyond the corridor is placed there to show that it is connected to the place we are going to visit. You can't open it.) Go back to the water, main pool to E. Swim down into the E wall, you enter another pool that is rather warm. (you notice the air bar's colour changing) Swim SE to surface. Hop on W ledge, it leads to a dark hallway.

 

Agonizing Cries(Abikyokan) Hell – Collect four Mani Wheels

When you proceed the corridor, you hear the horrible music, and enter the W big cave, you will begin to lose your health. It seems that this is a hot place, so Remove the Belly Band. Go SW and take a running jump to the next block. Go W then something tries to pull Lara into the water. There might be some enemies under this red water. If there are enemies, that means...so get into the water to find out the truth. Swim NE without touching the Chinese character. (If you touch it, your health will decrease. Purple is a little, red and white a lot, and yellow is poisonous.) Follow the path, pick up the Mani Wheel. If you go further the path and try to swim to the W, you will suck in the treasure hole beneath. So swim back to the S safe spot and pull up. Take a running jump to the NW blocks twice, then to the NE, run down to NE ledge. Go to NE corner and take one or two steps to the left. Jump over the N slope, slide and jump to the next block. Go N then again Lara was almost pulled underwater. At this point, check the settings to change Manual to Automatic. Reverse roll and go into the water, swim SW to where the treasure is deposited to lure the three Sea Hags. Back to the safe spot and pull up. Arm weapons to take them out. Now that you are safe, go back into the water, swim to NW under the yellow Chinese character, enter a small room, swim SW, pick up the 2nd Mani Wheel in the depression, swim N, W, then follow the narrow corridor to the end, swim up and pull a underwater lever on the ceiling to see a cut scene of the red character's rising. Swim back to the safe spot for air, then swim SW to the red Chinese character, pick up the 3rd Mani Wheel in the hole. Swim back to the same spot and pull up. Take a running jump to the S over the slope and slide. Hop onto the SW slanted block, run and jump to the next block, take a running jump to SE block, take a running jump to the S slope ledge, jump forward to the SW slanted block, keep running and jump to the S ledge in front of the dreadful face's mask. Go to S, enemies try to pull Lara into the water. Back steps into the water. Swim to W, note the red stains on the W wall for later, then turn left(S) to find an opening, swim to there where a big white Chinese character is rotating to prevent you from the last Mani Wheel. (Actually you can get it now, but then you'll miss two Coin Purses.) Swim down into another room, follow the path to the end, pull the underwater lever. (shutting off a water current in the back room)  Swim back to the safe spot and pull up for air. Hop back into the water,  swim NE into a triangular hole in the wall careful not to be sucked up in the water current, swim along the path to the end, pickup the 14th Coin Purse. Reverse roll and swim back to the W opening, swim down straight to be sucked into the “gold room”. Swim to the W back room where is no current as you pulled the lever earlier , turn left(S), swim into the corridor shaking off the Sea Hags chasing you. Surface up and you'll emerge in a rather blue cave. Pull the wall switch to lower an underwater block near the white big Chinese character. Continue through the cave, go to the NW corner on the gentle slope, backflip or jump forward to the upper room, climb the SE block, E block to enter a room with a slope to the S wall. Use a flair, go NW and crawl through a narrow gap. Follow the path, slide down two slopes, climb the E wall gap, head a little then hop back as a laughing wall monster moves forward. Let him fall then quickly climb the block ahead before the next one appears. Go N to pick up the flares and small medipack at the end of the aisle. Safety drop down, deactivating spikes behind. Drop down to the retracted spike tile and pick up the 15th Coin Purse in the alcove. Hop on the E block, turn around, jump forward to W slope and slide. Head to W to run up the familiar slope, hop on to the above room, climb the E block twice to back to the room you came earlier. Run up the slope to the most S, slightly face SW, jump over the slope + Roll to slide the slope backwards, grab the slope edge, pull up and slide with delayed Action to land on E alcove. Pick up the last(16th) Coin Purse, drop down in the water, swim the corridor, pick up the large medipack in front of the red stain wall. Swim to the SE(the right side of the purple Chinese character), swim down the lowered block to pick up the 4th Mani Wheel. Swim back to the safe spot, surface up there, reverse roll, take a running jump to NE slope ledge, go to about the NW corner, jump forward to NW block, keep running and jump to the next block, W wall ledge, SE block, then S entrance.

 

Spikes(Hariyama) Hell

Place the 4 Mani Wheels in the receptacles. Before entering the newly opened doors, just check your Inventory. You have 7 Coin Purses and the blue gem, Do you believe in Utopia? OK, then run up the stairs to greet the small demon and give him all your money (Coin purses). He will release spikes for you to pass. (If you haven't collected any Coin Purses, still you can survive. After he walked towards the treasure chest, take one step forward and jump on the spot three times, then jump forward + Roll to land on a safe triangular tile below and walk slowly, the spikes won’t harm.) Take a running jump to the spike island below. Since you gave the small demon 7 coin purses, you can easily running and jump to the SW island. (But I do hope you to stop, save the data first, climb the first "spider thread (thin white rope)", and listen to the nice music♪) Enter the S small room, pick up a small medipack in front of a tiny front door.  Exit and take a running jump to W ledge, along the wall,  jump to the W island twice. You can see the bubbles in the NW corner, but that's for later. Walk through the spikes and shoot the skull pattern on the wall. Hop on or jump + Action to grab the edge. Pull up and follow the path, there are piles of gold. If you go S, Lara draws attention to the top of the middle pile of gold. Go to SE of that room, hop on the corner block, face NW, jump forward to the glowing yellow on top of the pile of gold to through it and down inside. Pull down the wall switch lowering a block outside. Pull out and slide the pile of gold. Run W then S to the block lowered corridor and go through the opening to another room with the pile of gold. Tip the wheelbarrow and pickup the Vault Key and pickup the flares in the SW corner. Go to SE corner to pull the jump switch removing spikes from a small island at the entrance. Exit through the gold cave back to the entrance. Drop down to the spike retracted small island, keep running and jump to the bubble in the water. Swim through the corridor to the end, surface up to the place look like a room with dining table and belt conveyor for foods. Cold sake is also here. Actually this is a standby room for small demons. Head to the back room to pick up a large medipack in the middle of the room. Go to the NW corner to open the chest to get a book, Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters (Japan's oldest historical record).

To summarize the important part, Izanagi followed the dead Izanami to Hades, but was surprised to find her already in a terrible state and ran away. Enraged, Izanami had an ugly woman chase after Izanagi. Izanagi threw first a Kuromikazura, Black vine (hair ornament), then a bamboo comb, and finally three peaches to repel the ugly woman and the 1,500 monsters sent by Izanami. Then Izanami herself came after him, so Izanagi pushed the Big Rock to lock her away.

 

Pick up the flares near the side table in the W, go to SW corner and press Action in front of the Christmas tree in a flower pot to get a small medipack.  Exit the bedroom back to the dining room. In the East alcove, there is a room above to challenge for a large medipack. I originally built it so that you couldn't take that large medi, but now that I have it..., so if you do get the one, you're Super Raider. Head S then E back outside to the original big cave. Pick up the small medipack in front of the entrance. Take a running jump to E pathway then head N and pickup another small medipack around the corner left. Exit to the S, keep running and jump to SW main island and carefully walk through the spikes to the thin white rope with the spider on it. Jump up and grab it, follow the sound of spiders as you climb up through the white mist.

 

Pseudo Heaven

You'll emerge in the place looks like a heaven, but the mysterious music tells you that something sinister will happen. Head to SW little island to trip and drop her Black vine (hair ornament). Pick it up and exit, being careful not to touch the reddish things as they deplete health. (The white things, I made them in the image of spider's threads.) Head to SE little island to trip and drop her Comb made of bamboo. Pick it up to open the E red gates. Check your Inventory so that you can immediately select the Black vine. Enter the red gates and watch a cut scene as many Spirit Demons materialize from water lily flowers. As you run up the gentle slope (around the path where the slope path to the SE turns into the one to the NE), you could see a picture of grapevine on the spot you had just passed. Back to there, face NW, throw the Black vine (hair ornament) to see mountain vines grow out of the ground. Turn around, run NE, you see the ground light color has changed to green. Run up the slope path until you get a picture of bamboo (quite a distance you have to run). When you get the bamboo cut, back to there, face SW, throw Comb made of bamboo to see bamboo shoots grow out of the ground. Quickly continue up the ramp (Spirit Demons are still chasing), go through the opening as the red spider's thread will lower when you approach. (If you have not thrown the two items, the red one will not go down.) Run NW seeing the closed red gate in the left, climb N ledge to where of the load screen. Pick three Peach (drive away evil spirits) from the tree. Head back to the S ledge, stand on the marked tile that materialized and throw a Peach out towards the Demons. When you throw a peach, a picture of a peach will appear on the right side tile. Move there and throw the second peach, move on the right tile, throw the third peach to open the red door you saw earlier. Go through the opened door, follow the corridor and out to a place with steep mountains rising before you. From here, there are two courses.

 (If you want a small medipack, jump over the S slope, go SW then N to jump and grab the edge of the slope, shimmy to the left to climb the block. Go to NE corner, hop back once then hop on NE block. Stand on the most SW corner, face N, jump forward + ←key to the NW high spot(very hard). Pick up a small medipack there.)

A course that doesn't take a small medipack is, take a running jump to NE ledge, go N to the very end, hop back and backstep once, face W, take a running jump to the "V" point where the hand prints of those poor pioneers who failed to grasp the edge of this rock. Climb W block, run down the slope a little (2 squares), climb W block from the point you can do it with Action + ↑ key, go NW a little, jump down to the next block below. Take a running jump to SW path. In front of you is the Big Rock. Push it, enter the short path, and the Big Rock will come back so you will never be able to get back to Hades. Unless you'll have to come up with something... Run through the path to the outside before the avalanche caves in on Lara. Pick up the flares on the way, head South to the next level.

 

Level 1: Search for Shangri-la (Revisited)  (1 Secret)

Shangri-la?

After following the snow-covered path, you come to an open area. A music like the dawn of things is playing. The snowfield gradually turns into grass and alpine plants are in bloom, and peach trees are bearing peaches in abundance. Is this a Shangri-la? There are four light green willow trees. Visit each tree, then the willow tree responds (makes a sound), an item falls from the tree. Pickup all four Secret Medicine (to purge cursed willow) under each of the four light green willow trees. When you have all four, meaningful music starts to play and a small pagoda appears in the middle of the area. Check your Inventory so that you can immediately select the rice cake (and the Secret medicine). Enter the pagoda, pickup the large medipack and watch a cutscene of many Serpents descending from the sickly willow trees (Snake willow) towards the pagoda. Use a Rice cake to make Lara invincible to the serpent attacks. Use a Secret medicine in front of (turn toward the sick willow tree) each of the four willow tree paintings and the pagoda disappears freeing Lara and the exit red door opens.

 

Mountain saw at the start

Go there, follow the snowy path and you will hear the TR's theme music. Around the corner, you can see two eagles dancing over there. If you look E, there is the area you started your adventure. Slide down the most W slope twice, take a running jump to NE ledge to trigger the spikes between the slopes you've just slid. Go to about the NW corner, take a running jump to the next ledge, keep running N then E, jump over the E slope and turn around and go NW a little (diagonally 2 squares). You can easily spot you can stand. Hop onto it to take a running jump to NW opening, keep running and jump to the NW triangular space. Go to NW corner, face W, take a running jump over the “V” shape, slide the slope, jump to the right ledge, jump forward to the NW corner, then turn around, where is the place of the load screen. Down along the path, then E, you'll notice a blue texture that looks like the starting line. Stand on the far left, just a little before that line. Slide the slope, releasing the spikes ahead and land on it to clear all the spikes on the path. If the HP is decreasing, drink the Special Soup or Wear the Belly Band. Follow the retracted spike ledge, seeing two ice columns rise in the "glaciers" ahead and another lowers to reveal an entrance in the snow mountain. Arm weapons while running on the second column. Keep running and jump into the entrance. Take out the two Tigers. Head around the corridor and roll through the gap below since a text tells you. Pick up the large medipack in the corner. Pull the white small switch in the back lowers another ice block near the retracted spike ledge outside. Back to the passage with moss green spike marks, head through the corridor, note the block in the right, then run up the slope until you are a little past the middle, then save the data. Reverse roll to activate a snow boulder, dash down the slope to the end. A kitten tells us to "calm down", so stay calm and count to one, two, and jump forward to the E ledge at the third one. Immediately run to the E end, as you'll be crushed by the bounce of the snowball. Reverse roll, and take a running jump over the spikes. (Ignore the ice block in the left's lowering. It's just for lighting and for a viewing.) Run up the now safety slope, climb up the block, climb S block, follow the path, S, W, NW, you'll find the last (9th) SECRET, BLUE ROSE in the depression. Pick it up, go to the most NW corner and face NE, you can see two lions are playing with butterflies under the peony blossoms. This seems to be a hint for the final stage boss battle. Go back the snow mountain to S then E, to the S depression of the hole you came, jump forward to a flat spot at the top of the slope, slide to the other side, follow the S path to slide down the slope, face W, slide the wide slope to end the level.
