In order to cross the gap, jump to the first rope ahead of you. A jump to any of the other two and one to the other side further, drop in the water, follow the passages and swim right on both junctions to find a water hole. Climb out and have a look at the walls in and around this room before you call this level quits by exiting through the main menu - no finish trigger here...
