LEVEL 1 – THE FORLORN HOLLOWLANDS
First River Area
After the slide advance and shoot the bats, drop through the hole, shoot the bear and go to the narrow passage (if you dropped backwards, to your left), turn left and jump over the hole, pull the switch, let the rolling boulders fall into the hole, shoot another bear, go to the place where the balls came from to get a small medipack and continue to the building with the open door. Time the darts in the corridor and in the next area pick up the small medipack just in front of the entrance, shoot the bats, pick up the nearby shotgun shells and approach to the river (don’t jump into the water), take a running jump to your right, to the waterfall where the river flows to find in a niche the SECRET #1: uzi clips. Jump back to the river bank and cross the wooden bridge, shoot the bears and go right, jump over the grassy mound W and over the spiked hole to pull a switch (*), go back and left (S) to find the passage with the open door.
Second River Area
In the next area shoot the bears, go left to find a small medipack next to the plants and this time jump into the water and explore the walls to find an underwater crawlspace in a corner leading to the SECRET #2: 3 X shotgun shells. Get out of the water in the cave where the second bear was, locate the movable block attached to the wall and pull it twice so you can pull the high wall switch, now move the block around the corner so you can reach the high opening with the open door.
Big Waterfall Area
Here take a running jump to the flatter part of the waterfall under the opening in the wall, climb this opening, climb the block to your right, turn around and take a running jump to the opening behind the waterfall, pull the switch there, approach to the edge (left side), take an angled standing jump to grab the edge of the higher rock to your right, another standing jump with grab to the lower opening in the corner and drop through the hole. Drop/grab the edge of the spiked pit, shimmy left and safely drop down, pull the switch to open a door somewhere and climb back the opening with the open door. Take a last standing jump to grab the bottom of the ramp; follow the passage, run and jump like fool down the ramp to escape from the rolling boulders and quickly go through the opening to your left landing into the river. Go back to the first river area, jump W onto the grassy mound again to find the open door near the switch (*) you pulled time ago.
Crocodiles Lake Area
Drop down onto the rock below and jump to the recess in the left side to get the small medipack, jump over the lava pit and pick up a large medipack in the lake area. Shoot the crocs if you want and from the right side take a running jump onto the sloped rock to your right, slide/grab the edge, pull up in the corner and find a small medipack and a switch to pull; jump into the lake and swim to the opposite side (there’s another croc here) to find the open door in the corner to your left.
First Room With Breakable Floor
Enter and climb twice to find a cave with breakable floor; to get the next secret go left/left to a niche with the SECRET #3: a large medipack, uzi clips and automatic pistols ammo. From the edge, take a running jump onto the remaining breakable tiles and a sidejump right lo land onto a safe rock; climb the block in front of you, pick up the small medipack, turn around and take a running jump to the block with the first switch (beware of the low ceiling), jump back to the previous block and take another running jump to the block with the second switch; then take a standing jump onto the slope in the spiked pit and jump in last moment to the opening.
The Bears Lair
Slide down the ramp to a cave with a large medipack, approach to the gray tile alerting three bears; once the calm is restored pick up the Iron Key and go to the passages the bears came from to pull three switches; locate the nearby open door, climb the blocks and safely drop down into the passage you used to come here, jump over the spiked trench in the room with the breakable floor and fall into the lake below. Go all the way back to the second river area the way you came.
The Way to the Building
From the opening with the switch (*) run off the edge in a NE direction, slide and jump to grab the edge of the opening in the corner, shimmy left or right, pull up and quickly drop/grab the edge again to avoid the rolling boulder; pick up a small medipack and climb to a cave with two rats.
Optional: to get extra pickups turn around, take a standing jump onto the sloped rock to your right and jump to grab a rock with shotgun shells and automatic pistols ammo. Take a running jump with grab to get back onto the floor with the dead rats.
Detour for a secret: advance and when reaching the spiked pit turn right (E) and jump over the sloped rock to get the SECRET #4: a large medipack. Slide down to the lower floor and go all the way back to the spiked pit as you did before.
Jump over the pit, roll and shoot the bats, jump onto the flatter rock next to another hole with spikes and to the building with the keyhole.
Inside the Building
Open the door and enter, pick up the small medipack and take refuge in the left side of the room to avoid the rolling boulders, climb, climb, cross the passage with breakable tiles, drop, pick up the large medipack, run and jump to avoid the first rolling boulder, turn left, continue running/jumping to avoid a second rolling boulder and at the end of the path jump over the hole, slide and jump in last moment to grab the ledge with the SECRET #5: a large medipack and 3 X automatic pistols ammo. Now you can jump over the rock in front of you or drop into the hole to fall into a lake down below.
Lake with Waterfall
Swim under the waterfall to pull a timed switch, quickly swim to the other side of the lake and left through the opening in the NE corner, get out of the water and jump before the door closes; pick up the Shotgun and climb/jump several times until you reach an opening overlooking the lake area, drop a couple of times onto the grassy rocks to your left and take a standing jump to the passage with the small medipack; continue climbing/jumping until you spot a ledge with a switch.
Detour for a secret: don’t go up the ramp but turn around and take a running jump to the opening in the SW corner to get the SECRET #6: shotgun shells and a small medipack.
Go up the ramp and take a running jump to the ledge with the switch, pull it and advance to a lava room.
Lava Room
Take a standing jump to the rock in the lava and a running jump onto the slopes in the left side, slide and jump with a left curve onto a safe block. To get extra items take a running jump to the left side of the opening (not to the very left) and jump with a left curve to land onto a flat ledge with a small medipack and uzi clips; jump into the water and swim N to find a big cave with a sunken castle (note the key on the battlements).
Cave with the Castle
Spot the small medipack to the right of the closed door, pick it up and pull the underwater lever above, swim W and climb the ledge to pull a wall switch: now two doors in the castle are open, but they are for later (this switches also open an underwater door we’ll visit soon).
Detour for a secret: swim to the facade of the castle, face S and swim down and a bit left to find an opening in the rocks (not too deep) and swim through to hear the chime of the SECRET #7: surface and you must choose only one of the items: 4 X shotgun shells, 4 X automatic pistols ammo or 3 X uzi clips. The door will open and the trapdoor closes; push the movable block, shoot the rats, pick up the small and large medipacks, pull all four switches to open the door and step onto the niche to open the trapdoor in the previous room.
Swim back to the lake and go down, deeper through the opening in the floor and E, to find the third door we opened with the lever and the switch above; in the next cave swim up, surface and find yourself in a big lava cave.
First Lava Caves
Pick up the Uzis next to the skeleton and go counterclockwise N to the block with the switch, pull it and take a running jump to the nearby opening in the corner; run up the ramp, roll and go back/jump over the pit to avoid the rolling boulders (you must do it twice), finally pull a second switch at the top of the ramp to open the door. Go back to the area with the skeleton and jump to the other opening (E), use the safe rocks (yes, even with the lava textures, the rocks in the middle of the lava are safe) to reach the open door. Enter, shoot the bats and climb the blocks to find a spiked passage, shoot the rats, pick up the small medipack to your left, shoot a bear, pick up another small medipack and continue to find a room with breakable floor.
Second Room With Breakable Floor
Simply drop down and run diagonally to the SE corner where the block with the first Brass Key is. The cave areas near the castle are partially dry, so jump into the square hole at the bottom and swim to the W side. Get out of the water and continue climbing/jumping until you can take a standing jump onto a rocky bridge below (better jump onto the sloped rock to your right and slide to save health); go to the W caves, use the flatter ledges to go up the ramp, turn around, take a running jump to the E block, climb higher and pull the switch to your left to open the ceiling trapdoors; turn left, take a running jump to the E block and a final standing jump to grab the edge of the upper floor.
Movable Blocks Puzzle
The lower parts of two pillars in the corners are movable; drag them to reveal a closed door and the access to a new room. In this room push the block(1) twice and in the area with several movable blocks you can go up to the upper level through the opening in the SW corner to get a large medipack and see what to do below. So go down and pull the block(2) next to the spiked hole out and aside, now place the first block(1) in the SE corner to clear the way so you can go around the central pillar; now place the block(2) in the SW corner to get free space to maneuver; place the next blocks(3&4) against the W wall creating a row of three blocks with the block(2). In this situation it’s easy to move the last blocks(5&6) out of the way to get access to the NE corner where the switch is, pick up the small medipack and pull it to open the exit door in the previous room.
The Castle
Climb to a ledge overlooking the main cave, continue jumping/shimmying/sliding in a clockwise direction, shooting bats on your way, until you reach the battlements of the castle; pick up the uzi clips and the second Brass Key. Safely drop to ground floor and go through the openings left and right from the closed door, pick up a large and small medipacks and use the keys to open it. Enter and cross the passage with spikes on the floor shooting the bears, jump into the water and swim a short distance to surface in a room with a movable block and the Automatic Pistols Ammo. Shoot the crocodile if you want.
Room with Two Closed Doors
Place the block under the first switch (right one) and pull it to open the N door, shoot the bats, enter and pull the switch to fall into a water passage, pick up automatic pistols ammo and advance to a corridor with a small medipack (beware of the rolling boulder here), pull the switch at the end of the corridor and go back to the ramp, turn left (E) and climb the opening to get back in the room with the movable block. Place the block under the other switch and pull it to open the S door, shoot the bear and the rats, enter, pick up a small medipack and go to the lava caves.
Second Lava Caves
Advance running/jumping only onto the safe tiles until you are eventually attacked by a crawling atlantean, jump to the ledge with the switch and pull it to raise a nearby trapdoor; jump back to the rocks you came from, shoot another crawling atlantean, run and jump in S direction, shoot a third crawling atlantean, pick up shotgun shells and finally jump into a water hole in the floor. Get out of the water and to avoid the rolling ball in the corridor I jumped back and took a running jump over the spikes to land into the water; back to the corridor pick up the automatic pistols ammo and jump back to avoid a second rolling boulder; avoid a third rolling boulder when you go up the next ramp; time the swinging blade at the top, pick up the shotgun shells, take a running jump onto the sloped rock and continue jumping W until you find the safe ledge with the shotgun shells and the automatic pistols ammo. Slide down the ramp under the closed door, shoot the crawling atlantean, pick up a Note between the spikes and a trapdoor raises in the corner so you can reach the high niche and pull the switch to open the exit door. Go back outside (drop from a corner onto the tile with the spikes), shoot a crawling atlantean and take some jumps E to the top of the sloped rock.
Detour for a secret: jump again into the nearby water hole to see that a door has open here, swim through to get the SECRET #8: 3 X shotgun shells, 3 X small medipack, 2 X uzi clips, a large medipack and 2 X automatic pistols ammo. Go back to the top of the sloped rock via the passage with the swinging blade as you did before.
Now use the safe rocks to go all the way back almost to the first part of this cave, shooting a couple of crawling atlanteans and avoiding the falling rocks on your way, jump into the first pit you found in this area to find the water hole you watched in the camera shot, swim, get out of the water and run and jump up the ramp avoiding more falling rocks to finish the level.
LEVEL 2 – SEER’S SEPULCHER
Flooding a Small Pit
Advance, shoot the panther and pull/push the movable block to your left E and S so you can reach the high opening in the E wall; beware of the rolling boulders, shoot the croc and in the next area take an angled standing jump to grab the crack in the SE corner, shimmy left, pull up, take a running jump to the opposite block, turn left and take another running jump to grab the bottom of the ramp with the switch; pull it to flood a pit at the beginning of the level. Go back there, shoot the crocs, jump into the water and swim through the S passage if you want a large medipack; now swim through the other passage to find a cave with a temple. Shoot the panther, pick up the small medipack and climb the block to pull the switch; go to the W end of the cave to find the open door.
Cave with the Deep Pit
In the cave with the deep pit with a lake at the bottom jump into the water and look for an underwater lever to open the door of the temple, get out of the water and climb the blocks counterclockwise to the corner, roll, take a running jump to the sandy area, jump onto the sloped part, drop/grab the edge, shimmy right, pull up, take an angled standing jump to grab the edge of the next block, jump to the next one, take a standing jump to grab the crack, shimmy right, drop and jump up to grab the edge of the pit; go back to the entrance of the temple.
Inside the Temple
To get a secret: note that in the floor there are 5 tiles with a different texture, step onto them to open the door near the entrance and get the SECRET #9: 2 X uzi clips and 2 X automatic pistols ammo.
On one of the window sill to your right there is a small medipack, and at the back of the room 2 X automatic pistols ammo. Break the tiles in the floor and safely drop into the room below from one of the corners (spikes below), pull the switch to open a room above next to the ornate columns and go back there. Enter, drop through the hole, shoot a panther and continue to a big cave with a lake.
Getting a Secret
Shoot the panther roaming around on the blue ledge and jump there to get 2 X shotgun shells, on the window sill in the right side there are uzi clips; shoot the crocs in the lake too. Detour for a secret: jump into the water and look for two underwater levers to pull around the central structure, now locate a hole in the floor near that structure and swim to the end of the passage avoiding the crocs to pull a third underwater lever; swim back to the lake and locate the open door in the S side under the rocks, follow the underwater passage avoiding another croc to get the SECRET #10: 2 X large medipack, 2 X automatic pistols ammo and uzi clips.
The First Sapphire Key
Swim back to the entrance of this area, jump onto the central platform with the dead panther, shoot the panther on the sandy rocks, jump there, pick up the small medipack, jump to the rock in the SW corner and from here to the wooden bridge. Pick up the shotgun shells, cross the bridge and from the sloped rock take a running jump N to grab the edge of the slope, pull up, slide and jump over the spikes, take a standing jump to grab the edge of the blue structure, pull up/slide and pick up the first Sapphire Key; jump into the lake and go back up to the top of the wooden bridge.
The First Sapphire Key
This time, from the end of the path take a running jump NW to the protruding rock, cross a second wooden bridge, advance E, avoid the rolling boulder, go to the end of the path, climb the rock and go W to a ledge (**) overlooking the main area.
Detour for a secret: turn around and take a standing jump to grab the crack, shimmy left, pull up and from the center of the E ledge, face SE and take a standing jump to the upper niche to get the SECRET #11: a large medipack and 4 X small medipacks. Drop and go back to that ledge (**) overlooking the main area.
Advance S jumping over the sloped rocks and cross a third wooden bridge, climb the block in the corner, jump to grab the edge of the W higher block with the sloped top (***) and take a curved running jump NE to grab the edge of the ornate ledge, pull up and run up the ramp to the end, pick up the second Sapphire Key, go back down the ramp, jump back to the block you came from, jump into the lake and leave this area going back to the temple entrance.
Optional route: I think the way I used to get that second sapphire key is not the way intended by the author, so I will describe here the "right" route.
From the rock with the sloped top (***) take a running jump W (no grab) to the ledge with the large medipack, take an angled standing jump to grab the edge of the W ledge and climb twice almost to the ceiling of this cave; now turn right, slide down the slope and drop through the hole; jump NW onto the sloped rocks, slide/grab the edge, shimmy left to the end, pull up and jump back onto a flatter ledge; continue with a running jump N onto the sloped rocks, drop/grab the edge, shimmy left, pull up and take a running jump (no grab) to the rocks in the E side; turn left/drop and again take a running jump onto the sloped rocks to your left, slide/grab the edge, shimmy right, pull up and take a standing jump with grab onto the ornate ledge, pull up and run up the ramp to the end, pick up the second Sapphire Key, go back down the ramp, jump back to the block you came from, jump into the lake and leave this area going back to the temple entrance.
Diving Deep
Anyway, with two sapphire keys in your backpack and once in the temple entrance use the keys to open the N gate, enter, fight with all the crawling atlanteans and pull all four switches to open the next gates. In the pool room, pick up shotgun shells, a small medipack, shoot the croc in the pool and jump into the water; swim through the hole (another croc appears) but not to the very bottom, face S and swim into the left and right alcoves behind the pillars to pull a couple of underwater levers; swim up for air. Now swim down to a lower level (again not to the very bottom) and go S behind the pillars to find a third underwater lever, swim up for air. Finally swim to the very bottom, to the rocky area, to find openings in the E and W sides (marked with sandy floors), pull the levers in both openings (you’ll need to go back for air) and once all five levers are pulled the double gates in the pool room open.
The Huge Main Cave
Follow the passage avoiding the swinging blades to find a huge cave; pick up the automatic pistols ammo, 2 X shotgun shells and approach to the S edge of the entrance platform to spot a switch (1) and more shotgun shells on a ledge below, run off the edge to land there and better shoot the panthers below before pulling the switch because when you do it two crawling atlanteans are alerted; safely drop to ground floor and find the open door (1) near the small medipack.
First Scarab
Enter, cross the next opening with the open door and pull the switch in the right side to close it so you can drop down and shoot the crocs. Pull the switch in the N wall to open doors in the high NE and SE ledges (climb the nearby blocks to reach that ledges). Climb the SE ledge first, jump over the spiked pit and pull the switch to flood the room; now you can swim to the SE ledge, cross the pit swimming and pull the switch to open the door. In the next room jump into the pool and pull the underwater lever in the SE corner to open a door above, get out of the water and pull the movable block in the SE corner several times so you can climb it and reach the high opening with the open door (don’t forget the 2 X automatic pistols ammo and 2 X shotgun shells in the niches), pull the switch at the end of the corridor to dry the room, open the bars door in the W wall and also release a crawling atlantean. Go to the now accessible passage in the W wall and pull the switch to open a door somewhere. Jump into the pool below, get out of the water in the N ledge and pull the movable block attached to the wall out and aside to reveal a switch in the niche, pull it to open the bars door in the W wall so you can get back to the initial room (the movable block in the opposite ledge is only to go back up if you forget to pull the switch in the W passage). Once in the initial room climb the SE ledge and re-use the switch to flood the room again, jump into the water and swim to the SW corner, to the ledge with the open door to get the first Scarab (1 of 4). A door opens so you can go outside to the main area where two crawling atlanteans are waiting for you.
Second Scarab
Now go up the sandy mound in the SW corner and pull the switch (2) in the small cave to open a door somewhere, go back to the main area, shoot the crocs and explore the SE corner to find a small medipack behind the tall blocks; near, in the S wall, to the right side of the sandy mound, there’s a lower block you can climb, take a curved running jump around the corner to the top of the block with the shotgun shells, another jump to the next block and a last running jump to the rock next to the first switch you pulled when you first entered this large area; climb the block to your right, climb even higher, pick up the automatic pistols ammo, take a curved running jump to grab the crack in the wall, shimmy left, pick up the small medipack, climb the next block, take a standing jump to grab the crack, shimmy left and pull up to find the door (2) you opened moments ago.
Pick up the small medipack, enter and avoid the swinging blades and the boulder picking up a small medipack, shotgun shells and automatic pistols ammo on your way. Drop down into the next area and shoot the crocs, jump into the water and to get the last secret of this level don’t swim to the very bottom, but look for an opening in the rocks (N side) to get the SECRET #12: uzi clips, 3 X automatic pistols ammo and a large medipack. Swim back up to take a breath. This time swim to the very very bottom and pull the underwater lever in the niche to flood the entire cave, quickly swim back up and pick up the second Scarab (2 of 4) on the platform you saw when entering this cave: trapdoors open in the ceiling so you can surface; get out of the water, pull the switch and exit to the main area.
Third Scarab
Make your way to go down to ground floor (not difficult), shoot the crawling atlanteans and approach to the pool with the receptacles for the scarabs, pick up the large medipack, jump into the water alerting two crocs and swim behind the pillars to pull an underwater lever (3) (a door opens somewhere); back in the main area, shoot the panthers and go to the NW corner to find a block you can climb to pull a wall switch (4) (another door opens somewhere). Drop down, shoot two crawling atlanteans and go to the NE corner, climb the lower block, take a standing jump to grab the crack, shimmy right, pull up and run up the ramp to your left, pick up the uzi clips and take a running jump to grab the next block (beware of the low ceiling; do it from the very left side), turn around and take a standing jump to the high platform with one of the doors (3) you opened.
Pick up a large medipack and enter, pick up 8 X uzi clips (bad news!), run down the stairs and shoot all the crawling atlanteans, pick up the small medipacks in the corners and pull the switch to wake up the remaining crawling atlanteans; once the calm is restored note that one of the doors near the entrance is now open, pull the switch to open the opposite door and alert more crawling atlanteans, pick up a small medipack in one of the recess and enter the last room to get the third Scarab (3 of 4). Go out to the main area.
Fourth Scarab
Approach to the left side of the platform (W) and run off the edge to land onto the rocks below, take a curved standing jump around the corner and a last standing jump to the opening with the open door (4). Enter and run onto the breakable tiles to reach the other side of the pit, go right to avoid the first rolling boulder and drop/grab the edge of the pit to avoid the second one; now take a standing jump onto the next breakable tiles and when you are on the safe ledge drop/grab the edge to avoid another rolling boulder; now jump to the bottom of the next ramp and again drop/grab the edge to avoid more rolling boulders, go up the ramp and take an angled standing jump to grab the crack, shimmy right, pull up and take another angled standing jump to grab the edge of the tall block to your right, jump to the next ledge and to the opening with the open door, jump over the rolling boulders (try to do it in the middle, between them), pick up 3 X uzi clips and when you pick up the last Scarab (4 of 4) a door opens so you can go back to the main area.
Final Fight
Shoot all the crawling atlanteans and place the scarabs to open the W door, shoot more crawling atlanteans and enter the new room, pull the switch, exit and climb the golden blocks to reach the high platform, pick up 2 X uzi clips, 2 X large medipack and when you pick up the Seer’s Stone the exit door opens, enter, slide down the ramp, jump onto the big platform and fight with Torso and more crawling atlanteans. Pull all four movable blocks under the pillars and pull the switches releasing several flying atlanteans; when all four switches are pulled the exit door opens. Go there and run up the ramp towards the light to finish this extraordinary adventure.
