After sliding down, approach the flickering ladders straight ahead. Before climbing to the top, let's first explore the side passages in the corners; there's a button in the far end of each, which opens a door high up in the initial room as well as triggering assorted enemies right behind you (and, in the left side passage, a couple of battering rams). When both buttons are pressed, climb either ladder to the top and press the button on the tall ledge, then jump into the doors you've opened to find a cupboard at the end of which, each yielding loads of firepower and supplies.

Proceed to the next room and notice a key lock. Splash into the left side opening first and go through the first corridor to the right to find a button at the end. Two thugs show up in front of an opening door, which is actually just on the other side of the crawlspace to your right but it's probably safer (you do have a lot of medipacks, mind you) to loop back around the wall and into that same space. Enter the open door and claim CASTLE KEY 1. Back in the previous room, run across to the opposite opening and again stick to the first corridor to the right, through a corridor with magenta-tinted wood boards and into a high crawlspace just ahead. On the other side, go up the steps to find the next button. Follow the corridor to the right of the steps to another crawlspace and find the open door right ahead, housing a golden rose as SECRET #1. Shatter or ghost through the vent cover and return to the shallow water room.

Unlock that central door and save your game, as two hydras are just on the other side. Use your shotgun and shoot them whenever a flame starts to form within their mouths (remember you can switch targets with the Look button). Afterwards, climb up the long ladder. Mind the deadly lava pits as you go towards the button in front of you. You can run through either of the doors, but first find a golden glowing pit in the left corner for SECRET #2 (a golden rose, indeed).

In the purple room, push the button in the alcove to the right to unleash assorted enemies as the mirroring door opens. Get there, push that button and more assorted enemies spawn right behind you. The main doors are now open, jump past the battering ram and go up the steps until you come to a centurion statue on a central platform. Once it comes alive, bring it back down to pieces and find the BOOK OF BESTIARY it leaves behind before working your way up the blocks and ledges to a button just opposite the closed door. Push it, and go up and through to a lava room.

Hop to the opposite corner where there's a bluish hue over a pit. If you look down there you will spot the next button, which opens the door at the top of the room while throwing another two thugs (who dare walk on lava, even) your way. Do a running jump over the sloped ledge and grab the platform just below the open door, pull up and climb to a wooden corridor. Two side rooms here: just go up the ramps to find a button in one of them, and CASTLE KEY 2 in the other one. The door in front of the central hole is open, use the key there to open another door across from the key lock.

Go up the steps in the violet room and pull up to a rocky corridor. Follow this passage to the end. Just past the closed door is a pit with the associated button, but as you've expected it also spawns assorted enemies. In the green corridor, same thing: press the button in the pit for assorted enemies working in tandem against you, and then head through the door in the corridor.

When you get to a teal corridor, there's a cupboard with a more weaponry. Keep moving through the corridors and up the steps until you get to the next pit, next to a closed door, and the bunch of baddies in this room come in a larger quantity than the previous ones. It's the last one, just as well. Climb up the ladder and save your game.

Make a mental note of the gold hue emanating from the side corridor, there's a door there protecting you-know-what. For now, combine your desert eagle and laser sight and enter the next area, where a guardian head will soon spot you. Aim for its eyes before it has a chance to zap you. Push the button that lies where it once stood and you will see the nearby exit door open, but, before going through, backtrack to that corridor you've just noticed to find that door has also opened, enabling you to retrieve SECRET #3, another golden rose. Go back to the previous room and head through that door to wrap things up here.
