Be aware that your inventory includes a New Moves Manual describing and depicting the various new moves that will be required as the game progresses. You can also choose between two playing outfits. After the opening FMV, an on-screen indicator tells you there are 20 presents and 15 seraphim to be collected in the level. Before leaving, raid the two tables for 4 x small desserts and 2 x large desserts. Open the front door for several spectacular flyby scenes, go outside and turn left. Run past the snowmen and pull up where you see a bobbing present beyond an ice panel. Go through the passage, hop down next to a frozen pond and loop around right. Back flip onto the slope and jump to grab the icicle. Turn a bit to your left and jump off in front of a wall switch that lowers a spear gate down below. If the constantly looping music starts getting on your nerves, you can disable it by renaming the audio folder.
Drop down, go through the crawl space and safety drop down the floor hole to your left. Go around to find another crawl space, enter and proceed to another wall switch that gives you a view of the outside area as you hear the sound of a nearby spear gate opening. Stand at the low corner of the opening and press the roll key to slide down into a shallow pool. Go past the opened gate and over a frozen pond (note the bobbing seraph below the ice) and pull up into the alcove for your first PRESENT (1 of 20). Go back down, shoot two ice panels blocking the E opening and stand jump to grab the monkey bars. Monkey swing to the far left corner and press the jump or crouch key to jump forward and land inside the opening. Crawl through and underneath the frozen pond for the SERAPH (1 of 15) you noted earlier.
Return to the opening and either monkey swing to the other opening or use the convenient ladder to climb out of the passage. Loop around right, turn left at the crawl space and jump W to grab the crack near the sloped opening. Ledge jump back to grab the higher opening and pull up near a crawl space. Go on through, jump into the opening ahead past the frozen pond and see a frantic Santa trying to get himself unstuck from the chimney he foolishly tried to go down headfirst. Take a running jump to grab the snow-covered roof to the left of the chimney, pull up onto the hut where you began the level and loop around right. Take a running jump from the snow peak to grab the chimney. You can do nothing at the moment for poor Santa, but pull up and take a running jump SW onto the ledge for the SERAPH (2 of 15). Jump back to the chimney, slide to the roof and safety drop to the ground. Go E past the front door of the hut and loop around right along the lake’s edge. Jump to grab the hanging icicle, swivel left and jump off onto the small iceberg. Keep the jump key depressed to bounce off onto the nearby ledge.
Go around and take a running jump to grab the bottom tip of another icicle, jump off onto the ledge ahead and collect the PRESENT (2 of 20) at the other end. Take a running jump N to grab the sharp edge of an iceberg. Pull up, turn right and sprint jump to grab the rock ledge to the left of the brick column. Pull up, hop up right and jump to the higher rock ledge. Go around and take a running jump through the waterfall to grab the next rock ledge, pull up and jump onto the ice structure to your left. Take a few steps and stand jump N to grab the top of the column. Pull up and take a running jump SW to land on the lower ice structure. Walk forward to the lowest corner and stand jump to grab the ice ladder on the neighboring column. Ledge up so that Lara assumes her climbing position, climb up until you’re just below the tightrope and back flip onto a safe flat spot. Face the N wall and stand jump to grab the tightrope, get up onto it with the jump key, turn left and make your way W along the tightrope until you can go no further. Jump to grab the column top and pull up for the PRESENT (3 of 20).
Face the central ice column with the snowman on top and take a running jump to grab the penultimate ledge. Pull up, go around left and hop to the block. Pull up for a PRESENT (4 of 20). Run off W onto a lower flat spot, take a running jump S and land on a rock ledge underneath the tightrope. Face E, save your game and take a tricky running jump with grab to glide down onto a ledge in front of the opening below without grabbing the overhead ledge. It may take a few tries to accomplish this. Run forward into the next room for a SERAPH (3 of 15) and pull down the wall switch to lower the spears blocking the crawl space to your left. Crawl through and make your way up the shaft with jumps and grabs. Continue to an opening with a PRESENT (5 of 20) and emerge on an outdoor ledge.
Go around left and save your game for a tricky running jump SW (a sprint jump is not necessary) to grab the next ledge. Pull up and stand jump to grab the tightrope. Shimmy right a bit, get up onto the tightrope and turn to your left to face the S ledge. Make sure you’re far enough away (about a block’s distance) before jumping off to grab the ledge. Pull up and run forward for the SHOTGUN. Hop back a few times and run off SW to land on the ledge below. Take a running jump SW as if to grab the sloped ledge, but you’ll miss and glide down onto the ledge below. Turn around and hop over the gap for a PRESENT (6 of 20) and turn to face NW. Locate three hanging icicles and stand jump to grab the one in the middle. Slide down and turn slightly to face the one to your right, jump to grab it and jump off again to collect another PRESENT (7 of 20). You’ll land on a ledge near the lake’s edge with a slight health loss, so run NW past the hut to that blocked wall opening, pull up and turn around. Jump to grab the roof to the left of the chimney.
Pull up, run to the other side of the roof and jump over to the cave opening. Collect a PRESENT (8 of 20) and continue into the cave. Get out the shotgun and shoot the wooden barriers, but don’t try to jump the gap yet. Slide down to the cave floor and pull down the wall switch in the S alcove to lower a spear gate up above. Make your way back up to the ledge, take a running jump S to grab the crack, shimmy right around the corner and pull up. Turn right, jump over to the ledge and hop up left past the lowered spears for a PRESENT (9 of 20). Make your way back down the way you came, exit the cave and slide down to the hut. Go right to the base of that sloped rock just past the tree and jump onto it. Use the shotgun to shatter the wooden barrier in the rock wall, stand jump with a left curve to grab the edge and shimmy right until you can pull inside the crawl space. Hang from the other side, shimmy left and drop down into the water below. Pull out, get up to the SW ledge and stand at the edge next to the overhang. Take a rather precise standing jump to grab the tightrope, swing around and jump off with the sprint key depressed so you’ll have enough distance to grab the wall alcove and pull up for a SERAPH (4 of 15).
Turn around and stand jump to grab the nearby icicle. Turn around and jump off to grab the ladder. Instead of trying to climb up, climb down and jump off at the end to land inside a passage. Crawl through, jump up to grab the monkey bars, turn around at the edge with the up arrow key, climb up the other side, shimmy right over the rocky slope, climb up past a ceiling hole and shift right around the corner to drop into an upper passage. Follow around to a side passage for a PRESENT (10 of 20), take a running jump from this passage to grab the crawl space opening, pull inside and drop down near the hut. Locate the wooden barrier in the lake across from the front door and shoot it with the shotgun. Go around the water’s edge to the left, hop onto the ledge near the snowmen and take a standing jump to grab the swingpole. Get up on it, jump to grab the higher swingpole, turn around, shimmy left, get up on it and jump off with a left curve to land near a PRESENT (11 of 20).
Go back, get out the shotgun to shatter the wooden barrier ahead and use the higher swingpole to get over to that ledge for another PRESENT (12 of 20). Jump over SE onto the tall rock column in the water and run off N to land on a flat surface. Jump over to the ledge and follow around to the right. Hop down at the end onto a lower ledge, face the rock wall and jump up to grab the ledge you hopped down from. Ledge jump up to grab a wall crack, shimmy right around the corner and pull up next to a wooden barrier. Shatter it with the shotgun and go inside for a SERAPH (5 of 15). Return to the entrance to see that a polar bear has appeared down below. Take a running jump SW to collect a SERAPH (6 of 15) hovering over a springpad. Keep the up arrow key depressed so that you bounce off and land on the ice island next to the docile polar bear. Jump into the water and swim back toward the hut. Wade out, turn around and use the two springpads in the water to get back up to the stone column. Jump over to your right onto the ice column and jump once again from the low corner to grab the ice ladder as you did earlier.
Climb to about a block below the tightrope and back flip onto a flat spot. Face N and jump to grab the tightrope, get up on it turn left and jump from a safe distance to grab the top of the ice column. Pull up, face NW and shoot the wooden barrier across the way with the shotgun. Take a running jump E to grab the other ice column. Pull up, go around left and take a running jump NE down to the metal-capped block below. Jump to grab the ladder in the rock wall and climb up to claim another PRESENT (13 of 20). Turn left, save your game and work your way W along the ledges with jumps as appropriate until you reach another PRESENT (14 of 20). Jump back E to the previous ledge and drop down to the ledge below for another PRESENT (15 of 20). Face SW, stand jump down to a triangular ledge and claim yet another PRESENT (16 of 20). Stand jump S to grab the rock ladder, climb down to the bottom, pause for a second, then press the down arrow key again to continue climbing down and claim another PRESENT (17 of 20) in the process. Drop next to a snowman and run back toward the hut. Go around it to the right and find another wooden barrier to shoot.
Drop down onto a lower ice ledge, look a bit left for a triangular wall crack and take a running jump to grab it. Ledge jump up to grab a higher crack, shimmy left around the corner and pull up to an opening. Walk forward to face a series of sloped ice columns. Save your game, jump onto the far left column, slide and grab, shimmy right, pull up and back flip onto the slope behind you. Slide just a little bit and jump two times in quick succession to grab the top of a sloped column. For some reason you can’t shimmy along the top, so pull up, slide down the other side and jump off with a right curve to land on the next slope, jump off this one with a right curve as well so you’ll be facing the right direction to make a final jump to grab the blue block. Pull up for the AQUAMARINE STONE and face the S stone column. Take a running jump to grab the crack, shimmy left around the corner and ledge jump up to grab a higher ledge. Pull up for a SERAPH (7 of 15), hop back to grab the edge, drop to grab the crack below, shimmy right to the high corner and ledge jump back with a left curve to grab the sloped ice column. Shimmy left and drop down with no health loss.
Head E through the passage, vault out beside the sad-faced snowmen and go up onto the ledge on the other side of the room. Face W and stand jump to grab the tightrope. Get up on it, turn right, take a few steps and jump over the ice ledge toward an alcove where you can place the Aquamarine Stone (cut scene of the cave you just left as you hear the sound of a spear section lowering). Get back down and find the opening next to the raised slab. Slide down the icy slopes and drop into the lake. Note a number of voluptuous mermaids and surface for an onscreen message. Swim through the E opening and collect a SERAPH (8 of 15) among the blue columns. Return W to the open lake and swim NW over the anchor for another SERAPH (9 of 15). Flip turn and loop around right to wade out onto a rock island. Pull up onto the ice block to your right for a PRESENT (18 of 20), hop down and go through the NW opening.
From the icy snowman slab, jump into the water, swim SW and collect a SERAPH (10 of 15) surrounded by three mermaids. Return to the snowman slab and jump SE onto the sloped column. Slide and grab, shimmy right, pull up and back flip onto the nearby column top. Stand at the NW corner and take a running jump to grab a ledge on the central ice column. Pull up and take a running jump into the N wall opening. Pull down the wall switch to lower a spear gate elsewhere, jump back to the ice column and drop down to a deeper section of the water. Wade out and exit E to the rock island, go around the block where you acquired the previous present and jump to the upper E opening.
Pull up onto the nearby block, face SE and take a running jump to grab the icicle. Slide to the bottom, turn a bit left and jump off onto the rock ledge. Turn and stand jump N to grab the sloped pillar, pull up, slide down the other side and jump off onto the next sloped column. Jump without sliding and curving right to land on a flat ledge. Pull up N into the alcove, turn around and take a running jump onto the blue column top. Take a running jump past the icicles to grab a ledge, pull up and go to a wall switch that lowers another spear gate elsewhere. Dive down into the water, swim to the W opening that leads to the area with the scattered ship debris, wade out onto the island and climb onto the ice block with the snowman. Take a running jump to grab the nearby tightrope, get up on it and jump forward onto the rock ledge. Loop around right past the lowered spears, take a running jump over the gap past the snowman and make your way up the rocks to your left. Note the ice panel at the NE corner, turn to face the icicle and jump to grab it. Aim a little to the left of the falling water ahead and jump off to collect the PRESENT (19 of 20). You’ll land on the rock ledge at the cost of a significant amount of health. Get pack up to the ice panel and shatter it with the shotgun.
Crawl through, find the wall crack to your left and ledge jump up two times. Ledge jump back to grab a higher ledge, pull up and make your way forward to the SERAPH (11 of 15) bobbing atop a tall column. Hop back to the ledge and safety drop to the room below. Look behind the column for another SERAPH (12 of 15) and go through the W and S crawl spaces to the rock ledge. Take a running jump to the central rock column, pull up to the top and take a running jump to grab the higher ice ledge. Pull up for the final PRESENT (20 of 20) and take a running jump W onto a lower rock ledge just to the left of the bobbing seraph at the cost of some health. Pull up for the SERAPH (13 of 15) and get back down to the lower ledge. Take a running jump E toward the snowman down below and collect another SERAPH (14 of 15). Stand jump to grab the icicle, climb up a bit, swivel around to your left and jump off onto a corner of a small ledge on the rock column. Pull up to the top and check your health.
Go to the N corner near the snowman, hop back three times and sprint jump to the opening in the rock wall. Get out your shotgun and shatter the ice panel. Crawl through the opening to a scenic waterfall and note the spear-blocked opening below. Take a running jump through the waterfall and grab the ice-covered block. Pull up, turn right and jump to grab the ice ladder. Climb to the top, turn around and stand jump to grab the crawl space. Pull inside and go around the corner for the final SERAPH (15 of 15). You’re not done, however, so after the flyby step forward and slide onto the ice block below, go through the nearby crawl space and jump back to the central rock column. Take a tricky curved (left to right) running jump E to grab the column with the tightrope, pull up and continue with a running jump W to grab the higher ice ledge. Pull up, turn left and save your game for a pixel-perfect sprint jump from the higher left corner to grab the S ledge. Pull up in front of a familiar opening and go on through past the section with the lowered bars.
Get on the nearby ledge and position yourself as before to jump and grab the tightrope. Shimmy right if necessary, get up on it, turn left and jump to the ice ledge. Pull up to the opening near the hut and go around to the front entrance. Stand near the water’s edge and use the two springpads to get up to the stone column. Jump over to the S ice column, jump to grab the ice ladder on the adjacent ice column and climb up to near the top. Back flip onto the other ice column, use the tightrope to get onto the top of the W column and take a running jump back to a higher ledge on the E column. Go around left, jump down onto the metal-capped block and run off E onto a lower column. Take a running jump to grab the ledge jutting from the E wall, pull up and take a walking-running jump to grab the tightrope. Get up on it, turn left and walk toward the opening. Jump inside when you get close and take a running jump over a golden river to grab the ledge ahead. Pull up, go through the next opening and stand jump a bit to your left onto a flat spot on the stone column. Walk forward and stand jump toward the second column where the water is deeper. Surface, wade out N and pull up W into the column gap. Turn around and stand jump to grab the crack in the other column, ledge jump up and pull into the cramped opening to find a wall switch that lowers some nearby spears.
Get out, drop from the S edge into the water and get around to the SE wall. Find the ice-covered wall crack, jump to grab it and ledge jump up to grab a higher crack. Shimmy left a bit, ledge jump up again and pull up in front of an alcove. Take a running jump to grab the swingpole, swing around and jump off with the sprint key depressed to grab an icicle. Jump off to your right onto the block, turn around and take a running jump to grab the crack in the stone column. Shimmy left, ledge jump up to grab the top of the column and pull up. Slide backwards down the other side, grab the edge and ledge jump back onto a ledge near iron bars. Turn left and take a running jump to grab the column, pull up and go through the narrow opening on your right. Hop to the ledge below and go around the corner to find an alcove. Jump into it and pull down the wall switch to lower more spears nearby. Go back the way you came, go through the narrow opening and jump down W with grab to land on the block next to the lowered spears.
Go through the crawl space as the spears come back up, continue through a short passage and face a series of sloped columns. Save your game. Start with a standing jump onto the one a bit to your left and jump five times in succession off the slopes, using midair curves as necessary, until you land on a column with a flat top. Face N and stand jump to grab the monkey bars. Climb to the other end, pull up and find a wall switch that lowers the underwater spears you noted earlier. Turn around, take a running jump onto the ice ledge and continue with a jump onto the waterfall slope. Slide down into the water below, locate the N opening where the spears lowered and swim through the passage to trigger a brief greeting from the mermaids. Continue forward for the SERAPHIAN TRIDENT, flip turn and .return the way you came. Surface and make your way over to the crack in the E wall. Get to the upper alcove with ledge jumps, use the swingpole to grab the icicle and jump off onto the exit block.
Go through the opening, take a running jump to grab the next opening, pull up and hop down into the water, swim toward the hut, wade out and go in through the front door for some concluding seasonal greetings and the end credits.
