WALKTHROUGH by Lizard Queen
LEVEL 1 – TR1 Valley 3
Main Snowy Cave (Pool Side)
The level begins in a large snowy cave. Head to the left and pickup the FLARES in the corner. Continue down the corridor east towards the pool and climb the block on the right. Climb onto the ledge and head to the south/east corner. Step onto the greenish brown trigger to open an underwater door. Drop into the water, swim down through the newly opened door and pull the underwater lever. Swim back out and exit the pool north. Head to the north/west corner and climb into the alcove through the newly opened door in the west wall.
Cave Tunnel
Head through the tunnel and through the spiderweb on the left (north). Pickup the FLARES in the north/east corner. Face west and pull the pushable block on the right. Push the pushable block on the left. Jump and grab the block north, shimmy left and pull up onto the trigger tile to open the door. Jump back and grab the block, shimmy right around the corner and drop. Take a standing jump to the south/west corner, a standing jump over the small slope north and head through the newly opened door.
Boulder Cave
Make a sharp curve to the left to avoid a boulder. Face the slope north and take a standing jump up the slope. Jump onto the trigger tile north and continue jumping up the slope to the top. Jump onto the trigger tile at the top and head east. Jump onto the trigger tile on the left (north) and continue to the east wall. Jump up and grab the crevice and shimmy right past the boulder to near the end. Crawl into the small alcove, pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK and crawl onto the greenish/brown to open the door at the bottom of the room. Stand up in the middle of the crevice, jump back and grab the crevice, shimmy left to the end and drop down. Face down the slope south and slide down between the two boulders. At the bottom, curve to the right to trigger the two boulders and head through the newly opened door south/east corner. Crawl through the crawlspace and lower down onto a sloped ledge back in the main cave.
Main Snowy Cave (Cliff Side)
Head east and take a standing jump over the slope to the flat spot. Continue east to the edge of the cliff, shift to the leftmost side and take a running jump with grab to the east slope across the gap. Shimmy to the right and pull up onto the flat corner. Take a standing jump over the slope east and a standing jump over the slope north/west. Take a standing jump to the flat triangle spot north. Face west, sideflip right, slide and grab the edge of the slope. Shimmy right around the corner and drop to the flat ledge. Angle to face south/west and take a standing jump over the slope to a flat triangle spot behind. Face north and take a standing jump to the flat spot north. TRICKY JUMP: Angle to face west and take a “two-step” jump (SHIFT then UP ARROW + ALT) with a sharp curve right to the flat spot on the slope north. Angle to face north/east and take a standing jump to the flat triangle spot. Arm weapons, take a standing jump north/east and shoot the SNAKE. TRICKY JUMP: Walk to the north/west opening, face west and take a two step jump with a sharp curve left to the flat spot on the slope. Take a standing jump south/west to the flat triangle spot. TRICKY JUMP: Face south/west and take a two step jump with a sharp curve right to the flat spot west wall. Take a standing jump over the slope north and jump to grab the crevice on the west wall. Shimmy left and pull up into the crawlspace. Crawl through and lower into a small cave.
Small Cave
Drop down the blocks to the bottom, take a standing jump over the slope west and another standing jump over the slope north. Head east to the column with the Inca face and take a backflip to the slope behind, jump and grab the column. Pull up and pickup the KEY (called LOAD in inventory) making sure to avoid the deadly skull texture in the corner triangle. Safety drop to ground level, head north/west hugging the right wall and place the key in the lock to open the door. Head into the room and pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK south. Head to the broken block north/east and take a standing jump onto the flat part of the block. TRICKY JUMP: Angle to face south/west and take a two step jump to the broken block. Head south, climb the block and shoot the wooden grate south/east. Do not use the ladder (to avoid spikes at the monkey swing) but instead take a running jump into the opening south/east and immediately jump up and grab the monkey swing above. Swing through the monkey swing and let go to grab the crawlspace at the end. Crawl inside and pickup the KEY. Safety drop out of the crawlspace (some health loss). Head to the north/west corner, jump over the slope to trigger the lowering of spikes in the doorway east. Head through the doorway to the broken block north/east and take a standing jump onto the flat part of the block. TRICKY JUMP: Angle to face south/west and take a two step jump to the broken block. Head south, climb the block, face east and take a running jump with grab to the ladder. Immediately climb the ladder to the top before Lara can use her feet and shimmy left to the crawlspace on the left. Crawl through the crawlspace and safety drop back into the main snowy cave cliff.
Main Snowy Cave (Cliff Side)
Angle to face south/east and take a running jump with a sharp curve left to land on a flat spot. Angle to face north/east and take a standing jump (holding the UP ARROW a bit longer to extend the jump) to the flat triangular spot on the slope. Take a running jump with a curve to the right and grab the textured cliff side. Shimmy to the left to the end, slide down, grab the edge, shimmy left and pull up. Take a standing jump to the flat ledge north/east and a standing jump over the small slope north. Face west and take a standing jump into the somewhat “illegal” slope and jump out to land on the flat triangle spot. Take a standing jump over the slope south/west and a running jump with grab to the column west. Safety drop through the small opening into a small water hole into a new area.
Lower Cave
Pull out of the water, head carefully to the right of the debris to avoid a large sword that drops from the ceiling if you head into the middle. Head west along the right side of the room and walk over the light coloured broken blocks. Angle to face south/west and run over the broken blocks in the middle and far corner of the room. Head north, drop into a small room, run over the broken blocks to open the door in the east wall. Head through the winding corridor and pull the pushblock out. Climb over the block and push the wall switch to open a door behind lava in another room. Exit and follow the right side of the room around to a room on the right. Pickup the FLARES in the north/west corner by the plant and head to the east side of the room. Take a running jump over the lava through the newly opened door. Angle to face north/east, take a running jump over the lava with a slight curve and grab the crevice in the north wall. Shimmy left, around the corner and drop. Shoot the vase and pickup the KEY. Take a running jump through the opening south/east and a running jump through the door over the lava west. Use the key in the lock south/east and head through the 1st door to trigger a 2nd door in the south wall. Head through that door to trigger a 3rd door and head through that door to trigger a 4th door. Head through that door to trigger a 5th door in the middle of the south wall. Head through the 5th door and slide down into a new area.
Lower Grassy Cave
Climb out of the hole east, follow the left wall and push the practically invisible wall switch in the grassy wall east. Follow the left wall west, head through the newly opened door and into another grassy area. Follow the left wall, head through the triangle opening north/west. Follow the left wall and crawl through the triangle crawlspace south/west into a room with four hex shaped openings.
Gem Cave
Head through the opening north/east and pickup the FLARES. Continue following the left wall and pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK north/east. Head south hugging the left wall, jump over a slope and drop into a hole and pickup the 1st GEM (also named LOAD in inventory). Climb out south and continue hugging the left wall to reach an area with four gem receptacles on the left (east) for later on. Exit the receptacle room and continue following the left wall to an opening in the south/east corner.
Enter the corridor east, climb the block on the right (east) with the spiderweb, crawl through and lower down. Reverse roll and climb the next block east, pull up, crawl through and lower down. Reverse roll and climb the next block east, pull up, crawl through and lower down. Reverse roll and climb the next block, pull up, crawl through and lower down. Continue through the corridor to the end and through the triangle opening. Pickup the 2nd GEM and exit the corridor. Follow the left wall until reaching a lava pit with a dead skeleton in the south/west corner. Take a running jump north/west over the lava pit and a standing jump over another lava pit and dead skeleton north/east. Continue hugging the left wall and pull the wall switch in the north/east alcove. Reverse roll and pull the wall switch on the right column and the wall switch in the alcove south. Reverse roll, head north, then turn left and head through the newly opened door west.
Crawl through the crawlspace on the right (north) and head to the east wall. Backflip to the slope behind, jump off and grab the crawlspace. Crawl in to trigger a door in the opposite wall. Crawl out, head to the west wall, backflip to the slope behind, jump off and grab the crawlspace. Crawl through the newly opened grated door and pickup the 3rd GEM. Exit the crawlspace and exit the room via the crawlspace south. Exit through the door south, hug the right wall, take a running jump south/west over the lava pit and a standing jump south/east over the lava pit. Follow the left wall and pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK in the alcove north. Follow the left wall back to the open cave area. Follow the left wall, climb the block and pickup the FLARES on the ledge. Slide down, follow the left wall back to the four hex shapes room.
Head south to the middle of the open cave area and take a standing jump to the south/west corner of the centre structure triggering two sets of spikes. Take a standing jump to the broken block in the centre and immediately sideflip left to avoid the rolling boulder. Take a standing jump back to the south/west corner of the centre structure and a standing jump to the broken block and pickup the 4th GEM. Head to the far south/east corner of the cave to the room with the gem receptacles. Place the four gems in the receptacles on the broken blocks in the middle of the room to open the door in the south wall.
Wooden Corridor Maze
Head through the newly opened door south and head through the wooden corridor. Climb up a grassy straw textured block south. Continue through the corridor climbing blocks then take a standing jump to an upper opening north/west, a running jump (with grab to change trajectory) to an opening south/west and a running jump with grab to another opening north/west. Continue west through the jagged corridor then head south. Jump over the gap and face the slope east. Jump over the slope then immediately jump forward to grab the ledge ahead and pull up. N.B. Be careful not to fall into the gap on the right as there is no way out except to reload to a previous savegame. Drop to the lower ledge north/east and continue east through the jagged corridor. Climb the block east and the opening in the east wall. Take a standing jump to the block north/east and a standing jump with grab (to change trajectory) to the opening south/east. Safety drop east and continue through the corridor east. Climb the block in the south/east corner, take a running jump to the opening north/west and a running jump to the opening north/east. Climb the block south, climb the ladder and backflip to the ledge behind. Approach the double grated doors that open automatically to a new area.
Green Mossy Caves
Head through the doors and pickup the FLARES. Light a flare and head to the 2nd slope on the left (south). Jump and slide onto the slope with the brownish/yellow texture to open the 1st grated door. Head west to the right side of the pyramid and jump over onto the brownish/yellow texture west to open the 2nd grated door. Continue west to another slope on the left (south) and jump slide onto the brownish/yellow texture to open the 3rd grated door. Continue west to the last slope on the right (north) and jump slide onto the brownish/yellow texture to open the 4th grated door.
Head through the newly opened corridor south and pickup the FLARES. Light a flare, head east past the pyramid on the floor to the upside down pyramid on the ceiling and make a hairpin turn left (north). Jump slide onto the slope north/west with the brownish/yellow texture to open the 1st grated door. Continue east past the slope on the left and jump slide onto the brownish/yellow texture on the slope south/west to open the 2nd grated door. Continue east then turn right (south) then right (west) and head through two triangle shaped openings. Immediately turn left and take a running jump slide onto the slope south/west with the brownish/yellow texture to open the 3rd grated door. Continue west and climb or jump over the ledge. Head through the next triangle shaped opening and jump slide onto the slope north/west with the brownish/yellow texture to open the 4th grated door. Head east back through all the triangle shaped openings and head to the south/east corner.
Head through the newly opened corridor east, drop down and pickup the FLARES. Light a flare, head west through the diamond shaped opening and turn left (south). Jump slide onto the slope south/east with the brownish/yellow texture to open the 1st grated door. Continue west through two diagonally shaped openings and turn left (south). Jump slide onto the slope south/east with the brownish/yellow texture to open the 2nd grated door. Continue west and stop just before the upside down pyramid on the ceiling. Face north/east and jump slide onto the slope with the brownish/yellow texture tile to open the 3rd grated door. Continue west past the upside down pyramid and take a standing jump through the “V” shaped rock. Turn to face north/east and jump slide onto the slope with the brownish/yellow texture tile opening the 4th grated door.
Head through the newly opened corridor and pickup the FLARES. Light a flare, climb the block on the right (south) and take a running jump and slide onto the sloped column east to open the 1st grated door. Continue east, climb the block on the right (south), angle to face north/west and take a running jump and slide onto the sloped block to open the 2nd grated door. Continue east, climb the block east and take a running jump to the sloped column north/east to open the 3rd grated door. Continue east near the end of the cave in the south/east corner where the grated doors are, turn to face west and climb the column. Angle to face north/west and take a standing jump and slide onto the sloped column to open the 4th grated door.
Large Watery Stone Cave
Head through the newly opened corridor in the south/east corner and safety drop into the new cave (some health loss). Head west and climb the columns on the left (south) wall. Take running jumps west to the next three columns and standing jumps to the next four columns. Pickup the LARGE MEDIPACK and take a running jump to the next column. Climb the blocks and head to the grated door that opens automatically.
Multi-Boulder Spike Trap Gauntlet #1: Slide down the slope west, immediately run forward and jump past the boulders. Jump over the slope west, head to the north/west corner and climb up the ledge north. Turn right to face east, arm pistols and quickly shoot your way through the wooden zigzag fences. Take a standing jump up to the safe triangle block and another to the alcove as the grated door closes behind. Pickup the KEY and take a running jump into the water hole below.
Climb out of the water, head to the middle of the north wall and climb the block. Pickup the FLARES and drop to the floor. Head east and climb the column east close to the north wall. Face west and take a running jump with grab to the alcove west. Head through the corridor and climb into the opening west. Drop down, head south and west into a new area. Head right (north) and climb the block. Angle to face south/west and take a running jump to the structure in the middle of the room. Pickup the LARGE MEDIPACK and slide down the structure. Climb the blocks west and head to the grated door as it opens automatically.
Multi-Boulder Spike Trap Gauntlet #2: Slide down the slope and jump before reaching the floor. Once on the floor, run and jump with a slight curve to the right. Continue run and jumping to the left corner and jump through the “V” shape in the corner. Immediately jump off the slope beyond to avoid deadly lava tiles and quickly run to the left to avoid boulders. Continue on the left side to avoid moving spikes and wait for the next set of spikes to pass safely. Trigger the next set of moving spikes, hop back and let them pass safely. Trigger the final set of moving spikes, hop back and let them pass safely. Head to the right hand corner south/east and climb up to the alcove as the grated door closes behind. Pickup the KEY and take a running jump into the water hole below. Head west and place the two keys into the locks to open the door.
Ice Water Cave
Head through the door and pickup the FLARES. Continue west to the end and pull the pushblock to be under the pushblock in the south wall. Climb the pushblock and push the block into the south wall (some health loss). Pickup the LARGE MEDIPACK and push the wall switch on the left (east) to open the door west. Top up health and pull the pushblock back to facilitate a task later on (extreme health loss). Drop down and head through the door west.
Drop into the water and swim north. Swim to the right and surface for air. Swim east, dive down to the dark wooden post on the right and pull the 1st underwater lever north. Continue swimming east to the next dark wooden post and pull the 2nd underwater lever north. Swim north to the next dark wooden post and pull the 3rd underwater lever west. Swim west to the next dark wooden post and pull the 4th underwater lever south opening a door on the ice surface above. Surface for air, pull up onto the ice surface and pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK and FLARES. Head through the newly opened door and pickup the KEY. Reverse roll, drop into the water and swim west to the green underwater columns. Swim left (south) then left (east) and surface for air. Climb onto the small triangle platform and use the key to open a grated door higher up.
Drop into the water east and pull up onto the next block east. Take a standing jump to the next block east and jump up to grab the monkey swing above. Swing forward (east) to the end, drop into the water past the fence and surface. Push the wall switch, light a flare, sideflip left into the water, swim down and through the underwater corridor right, then left through a small triangle space, then right through a small triangle space, then down and forward then up to surface.
Twenty Four Boulders Room
Climb the block in the north/east corner and take a running jump to grab the block west. Take a standing jump to the ladder south, shimmy around the two corners then backflip with a twist to grab the block behind (south). Shimmy to the right, pull up onto the slope trigger tile to open the door. SAVE your game, head through the door and take a standing jump up the slope south. N.B. Do NOT step onto the light grey skull tiles as they release boulders causing an irreversible stuck point requiring a reload to a previous savegame. Head around the perimeter of the room to the south/east corner and pull the wall switch on the right. Head north to the 2nd column on the left and pull it out twice. Step only onto the green tiles and drop into the hole. Pull the skeleton and pickup the 1st KEY. Climb out via the grey tile north/west corner and drop into the next hole west. Pull the skeleton and pickup the 2nd KEY. Climb out via the grey tile south/west corner and drop into the next hole west. Pull the skeleton and pickup the 3rd KEY. Climb out via the grey tile north/west corner and drop into the next hole west. Pull the skeleton and pickup the 4th KEY. Climb out west and head to the north/west corner. Place the four keys into the locks to open the door. Head through the door and pickup the FLARES. Push the four wall switches in the room and exit.
Head around the perimeter towards the east wall. Pull the 2nd pushblock under the column out twice exposing another safe pathway. Step only onto the green tiles and drop into the hole west. Pull the floor lever and climb out via the grey tile south/west corner. Drop into the next hole west and pull the floor lever. Climb out via the grey tile north/west corner and drop into the next hole west. Pull the floor lever and climb out via the grey tile south/west corner. Drop into the next hole west and pull the floor lever. Climb out west and head through the door in the south/west corner. Pickup the KEY on the left and push the pushblock north. Push the wall switch on the right, climb the block and push the wall switch north. Drop right (east) and push the wall switch. Climb out, drop down and push the wall switch west. Pull/push the pushblock to the south/west corner. Climb up into the alcove, head through the corridor and drop back into the main room.
Head towards the east wall and use the key in the lock on the right (south). Drop into the room and push the floor lever. Backflip out of the room, head north through the newly opened door north and drop into the small room. Push the floor lever and backflip out to exit. Head through the newly opened door north/east.
Boulder Slope Room
Keep to the right side of the slope and sideflip left when the boulder drops. Continue down the slope to the right and sideflip left when the boulder drops. Take a running jump to the ledge and immediately backflip to avoid the moving spike ceiling. Jump back to the ledge, arm weapons and shoot the SNAKE. Crawl through the crawlspace north/east. Stand up and quickly run through to avoid spikes. Shoot the wooden grates and crawl through the crawlspace north. Head into the small room, pull the skeleton in the north/east corner and pickup the KEY. Exit the room, head down the corridor south and use the key in the lock.
Jungle Maze
Head through the newly opened door and hug the right wall for a while. N.B. This method may take longer but is easier to describe and foolproof. Pickup the 1st GEM and continue hugging the right wall. Pickup the 2nd GEM and continue hugging the right wall to reach the gem receptacles. Place two of the gems and continue hugging the right wall. Pickup the 3rd GEM and continue hugging the right wall. Pickup the well hidden SMALL MEDIPACK behind a small brown tree in an alcove south and continue hugging the right wall. Pickup the 4th GEM and now hug the left wall back to the gem receptacles. Place the two remaining gems and head through the newly opened door west.
Jungle Climb
Head to the west wall and sideflip left through the small triangle space. Arm weapons and shoot the three SNAKES. Shoot the white vase and pickup the GOLD BAR. Head to the south/east corner and pull out the pushblock. Use the gold bar in the receptacle and head through the door. Climb the ladder and backflip with a twist to grab the ledge behind. Pull up, angle to face south/east and take a standing jump to grab the edge of the column. Pull up, climb the ladder, shimmy right, drop and slide to the ledge. Face west and take a standing jump to grab the small triangle ladder. Shimmy right around the corner and pull up. Take a standing jump to the triangle north and a standing jump (hold the UP ARROW key to extend the jump) to the ledge north/east. Angle to face south/west and take a standing jump to grab the ladder. Climb the ladder and backflip to the alcove behind. Angle to face south/west and take a running jump to grab the slope. Pull up and backflip to land on the ledge behind. Angle to face south/west, take a running jump over the slope, jump and grab the ledge north. Angle to face south/east and take a standing jump to the ledge. Grab the ladder, climb a few steps down and backflip to the column behind. Face north, jump up and grab the ledge above. Shimmy left, pull up and take a standing jump over the slope north to a new corridor.
Grey Block Corridors
Head north around the columns and pickup the FLARES. Continue north and follow the left wall to a triangle alcove west. Angle to face north/west and jump up to a well hidden alcove. Push the 1st wall switch and drop down. Follow the left wall around to another triangle alcove. Angle to face north/east and jump up to a triangle alcove. Push the 2nd wall switch and drop down. Follow the left wall and head through the newly opened door.
Red Spike Room Hub – North/West Door
Head through the corridor to a large open red spike room. Turn to face east and hop back to grab the edge of the ledge. Shimmy right around the corner and pull up to a safe spot south. Push the wall switch, hop back and grab the edge of the ledge. Shimmy right around two corners and pull up to a safe spot in front of an opened door north/west. Angle to face north/east and run off through the opening to a safe tile below. Take a standing jump with grab west to a safe tile. Angle to face north/west and take a standing jump to the flat triangle safe spot. Face west and take a standing jump to the slope to trigger the 1st grated door. Face north and take a standing jump over the slope and a standing jump west to trigger the 2nd grated door. Take a standing jump south over the slope, a standing jump to the safe tile south/east and sideflip to the safe tile east. Angle to face north/east and take a standing jump to the slope to trigger the 3rd grated door. Take a standing jump over the slope north and take a standing jump east to trigger the 4th grated door. Climb into the alcove east, pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK on the right and push the wall switch east. Exit west, take a standing jump over the slope south, a standing jump south/west to the safe tile and a standing jump to the opening in the wall south/west. Face north, hop back and grab the ledge. Shimmy left around two corners and pull up onto a safe spot in front of the newly opened door south/west.
Red Spike Room Hub – South/West Door
Head through the door south and jump over the deadly vent texture. Climb the ledge west and walk on the right side of the safe tiles to trigger two gated doors. Jump over the vents at the end of the corridor, face east and walk on the right side of the safe tiles to trigger two more gated doors. Pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK. Jump back over the vents, drop down and head through the newly opened gates. Push the wall switch to open the north/east door back in the red spike room. Reverse roll and exit the corridor, jump over the vent back to the red spike room. Face south, hop back and grab the edge and shimmy left around two corners to a safe spot in front of the newly opened door north/east.
Red Spike Room Hub – North/East Door
Head through the north/east door and head right to a small corridor east. Pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK in an alcove on the right. Continue to the end of the corridor and climb the ledge on the left (north). Slide down the slope and jump over the deadly fire vent to open the 1st grated door. . Head west then left (south) back to the small corridor. Climb the north ledge at the front of the corridor, slide down the slope and jump over the deadly fire vent to open the 2nd grated door. Head west then turn right (north) to another small corridor. Face south, pull up onto the small slope at the front of the corridor, slide and jump over the vent to open the 3rd grated door. Return to the small corridor north and head east to the end of the corridor. Face south, pull up onto the small slope, slide and jump over the vent to open the 4th grated door. Take standing jumps and backflips over the remaining four slopes in the middle to open the remaining four grated doors. Head west, turn right (north) and east down the small corridor through the newly opened doors. Push the wall switch to open the south/east door back in the red spike room. Exit the corridor and head west back out to the red spike room. Face north, hop back and grab the edge and shimmy right around two corners to a safe spot in front of the newly opened door south/east.
Red Spike Room Hub – South/East Door
Head through the south/east door, through the corridor into a room with slopes. Turn to the right (south) and head left to pickup the SMALL MEDIPACK. Exit back to the room and climb the ledge east. The slopes north and south have greenish yellow textures on the bottom and top of the slopes. Take standing jumps to the textures at the bottom of the slopes and running jumps to the textures at the top of the slopes to open eight grated doors. Drop off the ledge west, head right (north), through the corridor and push the wall switch to open an underwater door back in the red spike room. Exit the room back to the red spike room.
Red Spike Room Hub – Underwater North/West Door
Dive into the void
in the middle of the red spike room and splash into the water. Swim to the
north/west corner, through the underwater corridor and up to surface in a new
room. Head through the various rooms to the
lava room. TRICKY JUMP #1: From the opening of
the lava room, angle to face north/west, hop back once and step back once (see
screenshot). Take a running jump with a sharp right curve holding UP + RIGHT
ARROW for as long as possible around the lava column and only then grabbing the
grey block beyond. TRICKY JUMP #2: Face east and sidestep to the right
as far as possible. Take a running jump past the grey column holding UP ARROW
for as long as possible then curve right and grab the grey block beyond. TRICKY
JUMP #3: Angle to face south/east and take a “two-step” jump (SHIFT then UP
ARROW + ALT) and grab the grey column. Pull up into the crawlspace and continue
crawling and climbing through the corridors until reaching a triangle opening
north. Turn to face west and sideflip right to the bottom of a small cavern. Take
a standing jump to a block north/west and a standing jump to a ledge
north/west. Take a standing jump over the slope south and a standing jump over
the slope west. Continue through the corridor then take standing jumps to grab
several blocks north and pull up into a triangle shaped crawlspace north.
Large Open Cavern (Gem Collection)
Safety drop to the bottom floor (some health loss) and pickup the FLARES. Follow the left wall up a small ramp, take a standing jump up the slope and pickup the FLARES. Head back down the small ramp and continue following the left wall of the cavern to a skull texture over a crawlspace in the west wall. Approach the west wall from the left side follow the left wall to the crawlspace. From the middle of the crawlspace, crouch down and pickup the 1st GEM.
Continue following the left wall of the cavern. Pickup the FLARES near the north/east corner. TRICKY JUMP: Head to the north/east corner with the “V” shape slope and turn to face north. Take two hops back, one step back and two steps to the left. Angle to face the “V” shape slope north/east, take a running jump over the “V” shape slope and immediately grab the crawlspace behind. Crawl into the crawlspace, turn around and lower down into the corridor below. Arm weapons, keep to the left (west) side of the snake statues and shoot the SNAKE. Run down the other side of the snake statues (east) to trigger stone doors behind the pushblock. Push the pushblock at the end of the corridor as far as possible, head through the opening and pickup the FLARES south. Make your way through the gated corridors shooting the shatterable gates along the way until you reach the north/west corner. Jump through the triangular opening and head to the south wall. Enter the alcove, crouch onto the first slope and pickup the 2nd GEM wedged between the two slopes. Exit the alcove and turn left. Climb the ladder south, pull up and crawl through the small triangle crawlspace. Safety lower out and slide back down to the cavern floor.
Continue following the left wall of the cavern until you see a lava textured upside down pyramid in the ceiling east with a crater pit underneath it. Head north around the crater then east and climb the block north. Reverse roll and take a running jump south to the top of the crater. Angle to face south/west and slowly walk towards the middle of the crater, crouch and pickup the 3rd GEM. Take a standing jump south/west out of the crater and take a standing jump south off the crater. Continue south, slide down the slope, turn right (west) towards the floating boulder. Carefully walk onto the green texture to the right of the skull texture, angle to face south/west and crawl to the centre underneath the boulder. Pickup the 4th GEM and crawl back out. Head east to the east wall and pickup the FLARES. Angle to face north/east and take four standing jumps forward. Turn to face east and head to the east wall. Angle to face south/east and take a standing jump up the slope to an upper ledge. Face south and take a standing jump to the upper ledge. Continue south, drop into an alcove and pickup the 5th GEM. Climb out north and slide back down to the cavern floor.
Head south and continue following the left wall of the cavern until you reach the south wall of the cavern. Take a standing jump up the slope south, a standing jump east over the slope and pickup the 6th GEM in the alcove. Exit the alcove, slide down west and pickup the FLARES. Face north and head to the large column north. Drop into the corridor surrounding the column and pickup the FLARES. Climb the block east, reverse roll and take a running jump to the column west. Turn to face east, sideflip left, jump off the slope and grab the edge of the large column east. Face north, sidestep right as far as possible, jump up once then take a running jump with grab to the column north. Face west and take running jumps with grab to the next three columns west. Face north and take a running jump with grab to the column north. Take a running jump with grab to the left hand side of the column north and crawl up onto the column north. Pickup the 7th GEM and safety drop to the cavern floor (some health loss). Head to the south/west corner of the cavern. Climb the column into an alcove in the west wall and climb another column in the alcove west. Head up the slope south, slide down the next slope and pickup the 8th GEM lodged between the crack in slope. Drop back down to the cavern floor.
Head north/east to the boulder in the middle of the cavern. Face east and head to the east wall. Turn left and head north to the north wall with the deadly crater on the right (north/east). Head east to a ledge and take a running jump with grab to the ledge across the gap. Place the eight gems in the receptacles and head through the newly opened door east. Fall into the dark water and climb out north/east. Climb the two blocks south, face east and jump to grab the ladder east. Climb up the ladder and pull into a snowy cave. Head east and follow the corridor around to the left and head towards the large blue wall west to end the level.
