Walkthrough
1. After the opening fly-by, run forward up the slope until you reach
the mansion entrance. If you look on the ground near the fence at the left side
of the entrance you will see a yellowish coloured
patch. This is a trapdoor. Pull this open and drop down below into the short
passage. At the end, pull the chain and a camera will show you the fountain has
empted. Climb back out and run over t the far side of the fountain where you
will see a key in the pit. This key wil open the
front door. Use the key where they key hole is on the door and it will open. Walk
just inside to the two pedestals on either side of the entrance, pick up the
packs of flares on these. Go to either side of the stairs and u will see a dark
crawlspace unerneath, go through here to pick up some
shotgun shells. On the left side of the hallway is a door to the dining room
which you can push open, but you won't need to go there yet, so instead got to
the right through the corridor. Take a look to your right and take note of the
door there with a key hole for later. Carry on down the corridor towards the
large firplace room. Open the door into that room and
walk in. Take a lok at the fireplace, it has a switch
behind it but the flames are blocking the way. On the other side of the room is
another switch, this is timed and will turn off the flames. It lasts for 11
seconds or so, so you will have to be quick. Save before pulling the switch.
Pull the switch, immedietely roll to turn around and
run forward with the sprint button held down. Press right a little to aim up
with the switch, when the sprint bar has run completely down, no need to keep
sprinting just run forward to the switch, pull it and roll again and sprint out
in order to not catch fire. The camera hows that it
has opened to door at the top of the main hall. Go back to the main hall and
thorough that door, it brings you up to the top of the dining room. Here you
will see two lamps, you can jump on top of these, you will need to jump forward
and grap to get onto either of these, but you will
need to get to the one at the far side. Either climb up the pole or just do a
standing jump upwards and pull up into the attic. Go to the edge of the roof
and crawl to get the key. Climb back down into the bottom of the dining room. From
here you have 2 options, either use this key on the door in the dining room
(section 2) , OR use this key to open the door near the fireplace room you will
have seen earlier. (section 3)
2.Use key in dining room
Go through the now open door and you will see a set of double doors infront of you. Open these and you will see a globe puzzle.
If you look on the wall, you will see a picture of how the room should look. The
green planet is on the left and the red one is one the right. Simply push/pull
the planets onto these squares and the door will open above on the ledge,
revealing a golden star. However, you will need the crowbar to get the golden
star so leave it there for now. Exit this room and turn right down the corridor
to the kitchen. In here you can see part of outside and also a lasersight on the floor in the room. Pick this up as you
will need it for later. Exit the kitchen and go straight down to the end of the
corridor, the next door on your left is an important room for later, inside you
will notice three holes for golden stars. This is where you will place the
stars later on. Exit this room and go right to the end of the corridor. Go
through the door here into the music room. To your left there is a smashable vase with revolver ammo in it. At the end of the
room near the piano is a pole. Shimmy up this, trying to take as little damage
as possible for the rotating cog, and jump backwards into the room above. There
are 2 more smashable vases in here, one contains the
crowbar (yay!), and the other a bag of sand. You may
need to step near the second vase to be able to see the bag of sand. Pick these
up and run back down to the globe room and remove the golden star from the
wall. Now that you have the crowbar you can open that gate in the fence near
the beggining outside the front of the mansion! Find
your way back to the entrance and open this gate with the crowbar. Run forward
and eventually you will see a tree with a treehouse,
but not before you are attacked by locusts! Shake these off and enter the
little tunnel you can see in the ground. At the end you will be ontop of the mound. Get yourself to the highest point on
the mound, it's just right of the tree branch, and jump up onto the branch. you
may need to grap and pull yourself up. Run forward
along the branch into the treehouse. Turn around and
climb down the ladder right to the bottom of the trunk. Search in here in the
crawlspace to find another door key. This key will open the door near the
fireplace room with the coat of arms on the wall.
Make your way to this door, open it and you will find yourself outside
again, but this time at the side of the house. Kill the dog that came out of
the dog kennel and open the door into the shed. Pick up the jerrycan
which is on the floor and jump up to pull down the trapdoor in the ceiling. Make
sure you are lined up before pulling it down in order for her to grap it. Jump up and climb out of the shed and drop down to
the ground. Find the little platform between the house and the shed, stand on
the edge of this and do a standing forward jump onto the side of the house. Take
note of the swinging globe in the room if you have not noticed this already. Walk
all the way along the side of the house to the end and drop down onto the
grassy floor. Run forward over the bridge and keep going till you get to the
large shed at the bottom. Open the door and kill the bats that will attack you.
In here you will need to find an opening in the ground that leads you into the
cellar. It is at the top left corner of the room, you will need to climb over
some boxes to get there. Drop through here and carry on through. Run past the
rat that is trying to escape and down the steps into the cellar, you are now
entering the second part of the level.
Run all the way down the corridor until the camera angle changes to show
you some timed flame emmiters. These are simple
enough, wait until the flame goes off and quickly run past before they come
back on again. Next you will find some swinging chains which you will need to
avoid or they will harm Lara. Just after these chains, stop, and light a flare.
On the left wall you will see part of it is a different colour,
you can smash this with Lara's pistols. Jump up and shoot the wall which will
smash, climb up and crawl through, pull open the trapdoor to get Secret #1. In
this room is a grenade gun which will prove useful. Keep going along the cellar
and watch out for the shifting blocks which will instantly kill Lara! your
timing will need to be precise to get past these. Alternatively, there is a
method you can cheat. Stand 2 blocks before the first shifting block and wait
till both of them have shited to either side. Then
immediately run forward holding sprint and she will pass both the blocks but
also both the swinging chains at the end. At the end, go left. In here is a
crawlspace you will need to find and go through. It is at the top right of the
room, Climb over the blocks to your right to ind it,
you may need to light a flare. Go through here and out the other end to get the
revolver, ignore the crowbar as you already have one, this is for if you used
the earlier key to get to the cellar first. Go back out and go to the other
side at the end of the corridor. Here are some more difficult timed flames. You
will need to wait until they are virtually all on at the same time and when
they go off, sprint through to avoid getting burnt! The next puzzle is to find
2 buttons to open the gate at the end. the first button is immediately to your
left on the other side of the grate. In the room on the right handside is some shotgun ammo. Go forward, shoot the dogs,
and enter the room on the right to find the second switch. The gate will now
open, you should be able to hear it. Go through here and shoot the dog that
jumps out to get you, keep going upwards until you reach a ceiling trapdoor. Pull
this down and climb up into the tumulus. Exit here and you're back outside into
the grounds of the mansion. Ahead you can see the clocktower,
to your right is a graveyard, and to your left is another tumulus. go inside
this tumulus to get the shotgun from the sarcophagus. Head towards the
graveyard and shoot the two skeletons that appear. If you have the grenade
launcher you can shoot them to pieces, or use the shotgun to shoot them into
the grave pits. Open the door to the mausoleum with the crowbar and step
inside. On the floor you will see a wooden floor and the crypt beneath it. Climb
onto the blovk to your left and face towards the
entrance and do a running jump and grab to get up to the ledge. Monkey swing
across to the other side and do another running jump and grap
forwards to get to the ledge which leads to the flame. Go right to the end and
you will find a wooden torch on a pedestal. pick this up and set it alight by
pressing action near the flame. Throw this torch onto the wooden floor by
pressing the key which you use for Lara to pull her guns out. The floor will
start to burn and eventually it will break. Drop down into the crypt. Be
careful when you go down either side of the pillar, as there are squishy blocks
in the ceiling which will drop down. You will see it rumbling when it is about
to drop, so get through here as quick as possible. go forward and explore the
crypt. There are two sarchophagi, one with a medi-pack and another with shotgun ammo. At the back is
another golden star, which you wil see when the
camera angle changes. use the crowbar to get this out and get out of the crypt
and out into the graveyard. To your right is a gate in the wall, which will
lead you closer to the mansion.
Use the crowbar to open this door and go through. On the left is the clocktower and some parasols, and to your right is a pool. Head
right past the pool and keep going down the side of the mansion to the swimming
pool area. "Rover" the dog will attack you. Enter the swimming pool
building (it will change back to level 1), and head up the stairs back into the
mansion. At the top you will see the globe room you entered earlier. Notice the
door on the right hand side which you will need to open later. Carry on right
down to the cat statues. More dogs will attack you here. Open the door to the
bathroom straight ahead, and take a brief look inside. Head towards to
staircase which leads back into the main hall but don't go down the stairs yet.
Left is another door, go left a little then right into the study and straight
forward into the bedroom. Immedietely to your right
is a smashable vase with a small medi-pack.
Go towards the windows and turn left heading owards
the fireplace room. Combine the revolver and lasersight
and shoot the swinging ball on the ceiling, this will open the door to the
library, the one near the staircase near the cat statues. Instead, keep going
right round past the window and open the double doors into the child's bedroom.
In here pick up the closet key, this key opens the door in the gallery on the
ground floor near the entrance. Find your way down there and open the door to
the closet, inside is a waterskin, pick this up. Haed back up to the bathroom and fill the waterskin with water by standing in the bath and selecting
the waterskin in the menu. Head into the library (the
room whose door you just opened), and explore in here. You will see a pedestal
for a music scroll but also a switch around the back of the book cases. Pull
this and a camera will show you the door opening on the same floor near the
globe room, the door which you passed earlier. Find your way here and enter,
but two fire wraiths are triggered. Run away from these to a source of water,
either the bathroom or the swimming pool. once they have been extinguished, go
back to the room. you will see a blokced up
fireplace, but the block in the middle can be pulled outwards. Pull this brick
block out and retrieve the scroll. This is the music scroll which u can use in
the library. go to the library and use the scroll on the pedestal, a cutscene will show her playing the lyle
(however you spell it), and the door opening. Go through her into an old
staircase and some old rooms. In the first room ther
is nothing apart from a desk, a lions head on the wall and some revolver ammo. Using
the reveolver and lasersight,
aim at the lion's mouth, there is a gem there which when you shoot will open
the door ahead of you. Go through this door and you will see an element puzzle.
You will have all the elements you need. The water, sandd
and oil. empty the water into the first one, the oil into the second and the
sand into the third, pick up the torch from the pedestal, light it, and set
fire to the oil, the door will open revealing a final golden star. Using the
crowbar take this and you will be ready for the final part of the game. Go to
the section below titled CLOCK TOWER. (section 4)
3. Using the attic key for the door near the fireplace room.
Make your way to this door, open it and you will find yourself outside
again, but this time at the side of the house. Kill the dog that came out of
the dog kennel and open the door into the shed. Pick up the jerrycan
which is on the floor and jump up to pull down the trapdoor in the ceiling. Make
sure you are lined up before pulling it down in order for her to grap it. Jump up and climb out of the shed and drop down to
the ground. Find the little platform between the house and the shed, stand on

into the tumulus. xit here and you're back outside
into the grounds of the mansion. Ahead you can see the clocktower,
to your right is a graveyard, and to your left is another tumulus. go inside
this tumulus to get the shotgun from the sarcophagus. Head towards the
graveyard and shoot the two skeletons that appear. If you have the grenade launcher
you can shoot them to pieces, or use the shotgun to shoot them into the grave
pits. Open the door to the mausoleum with the crowbar and step inside. On the
floor you will see a wooden floor and the crypt beneath it. Climb onto the blovk to your left and face towards the entrance and do a
running jump and grab to get up to the ledge. Monkey swing across to the other
side and do another running jump and grap forwards to
get to the ledge which leads to the flame. Go right to the end and you will

window and open the door to the child's room. In here pick up the closet key.
The closet is the room on the ground floor in the gallery near the main
entrance. Go down here open the door to get the waterskin.
Go back up to the bathroom and stand in the bath and fill it up with water. Now
that you have the crowbar you can open that gate in the fence near the beggining outside the front of the mansion! Find your way
back to the entrance and open this gate with the crowbar. Run forward and
eventually you will see a tree with a treehouse, but
not before you are attacked by locusts! Shake these off and enter the little
tunnel you can see in the ground. At the end you will be ontop
of the mound. Get yourself to the highest point on the mound, it's just right
of the tree branch, and jump up onto the branch. you may need to grap and pull yourself up. Run forward along the branch
into the treehouse. Turn around and climb down the
ladder right to the bottom of the trunk. Search in here in the crawlspace to
find another door key. This key will open the door in the dining room, so make
your way to the dining room and open the door. Go through the now open door and
you will see a set of double doors infront of you. Open

4. Clock Tower
Now you have all three golden stars, you can make your way ot the room with the holes. This
was near the globe room, just round the corner. Place them in the slots and the
door will open. Go through back into level 2. Climb all the way to the top of
the tower and open the door onto the roof. If you see just to the left there is
a flatish patch on the roof, jump onto this and jump
back and grap onto the ledge. The camera will change,
shimmy along to the right until the camera show you are at a flat patch to
climb up. climb up, jump forward and jump upwards
again to get onto the roof terrace Secret #2, revolver ammo and a large medi pack. To get down, climb down the first ledge where u
came up, and then hop backwards, and again to grap
onto the ledge and shimmy back to the clock tower. Go around the clock tower
and into the attic. On your right you will see the source of evil she is
searching for, the hand of selaachi. But it's not as
easy as that. Pick it up and run back towards where you came in, the door has
shut! There is also a horseman after you on his horse. Kill the horseman by
shooting his right side (Lara's left) and he will get knocked off, then just
shoot his chest till he dies. Pick up then horseman's gem and place it in the
slot near the door, go through. Grab the zipline and
slide down to the bottom. pen the garage door with the
switch and get on the motorbike. Enter the passage with the bike between the
lamps, drive on through at top speed to get over the pit, and keep going. The
fly-by at the end signifies the end of the level! Well Done!
