Reviewer's comments
"Third level in a row that I played by this builder and it follows the same recipe of a solid, but generally very basic and uninteresting level of about 20 minutes net gaming time. This time the setting is TR3 Jungle style and hence comes along with the expected raptors and climbing and hopping around the trees and there is even a T Rex to kill along the way. This time there are at least 3 secrets added, none of which are too hard to find. What I liked most is the trap sequence near the end and the boulder push scene near the start and you can of course never go wrong with adding a bit of TR3 soundtrack." - MichaelP (05-Feb-2024)
"I wish the shotgun was more prominent, because I still managed to miss it in the leaves. Also, lighting could be better. But if you want something shorter and easier, look no further - this little jungle escapade is fast-paced and relaxing." - DJ Full (25-Feb-2023)
"Even when, as usual, the levels from this author have not very special features, I always liked this classic style, without complications and few backtracking. Perhaps the author could use more objects to ornate the rooms, make the level longer and think about innovative puzzles instead of the classic traps, but even so I enjoyed this new release. I don't know why but I always liked this kind of levels." - Jose (27-Jun-2022)
"This is a nicely done level in a TR3 setting, and I love levels ambiented in classic environments. Good lighting and textures, and the level overall isn't too confusing, which it's more than fine since I don't like getting stuck for hours. You'll encounter some dinosaurs, a vulture, a T-Rex (yes!), and that beast thing from TR4. Now it would've been cool if we could encounter a Shiva statue, but that's fine. There are some traps to avoid too. I liked the various classic tracks that played at certain parts, all from TR3. And the new moves are always a good addition." - alan (22-Jan-2022)
"A short and easy ride, which I enjoyed. Nice jungle atmosphere, doable, yet cool traps (especially the boulders), one timed run I can think of, a fight with a T-Rex (not forgetting the other enemies), good lighting (rather green-ish), platforming on treetops, good use of the "new moves", friendly builder's indications. Try it if you want to relax in between larger, far more complicated, levels." - Jorge22 (10-Oct-2021)
"Some boulder traps were the most fun element in this game, otherwise there's not so much to speak of except of mediocre exploration and a lot of levers to be used in an admittedly nicely crafted environment with good texturing and lighting. Enemies are placed well but I don't know what to think about that odd T-Rex encounter, which is very nicely introduced but makes little if at all sense. Maybe something related to the final artifact? We will never know because the game ends as abruptly as almost all levels of the builder before and there's little in terms of storyline. Not much new to speak of actually - if you've played one level of the builder, you know them all. Finished in 18 minutes with three easy secrets found." - manarch2 (09-Oct-2021)
"14th level by Opaque and brings some fun however I found some flaws and this game was not really enjoyable.

Gameplay & Puzzles: This level is linear, and the gameplay consists of pulling switches and finding keys, and some platforming. There weren't any puzzles which is a shame. Although I found platforming quite fun but at the same time it was short.

Enemies, Objects & Secrets: There's a T-rex, raptors, and eagles to dispatch so a variety of enemies. Secrets were well-hidden and I liked the feature where a text would come up saying that you haven't collected all of the secrets and you have a chance to do so which is a plus.

Atmosphere, Sound & Cameras: The atmosphere was okay, it didn't thrill me that much. The use of cameras is really good as it shows you where to go after pulling the switches.

Lighting & Textures: Lighting in this level is nonexistent as it's quite flat and it's only dark orange ambience which I would improve if I were Opaque. The use of textures is also okay however I found a lot of wallpapering especially in the huge room with the statue in the middle. Summary: In summary, this is an okay raid that I would improve for a much better user experience. In addition, this is Opaque's 14th level so I expected something better, and considering that very few of his levels have greater than 7.50 average score then this explains that Opaque should take his time to build a level instead of rushing them." - Kubsy (03-Oct-2021)
"This jungle-themed level fits the same mold as the builder's previous releases, like a favored pair of comfortable shoes. Not too long or short, not too easy or difficult, and always delightful in gameplay and surroundings. I found this one to be a bit dark for my tastes, but that didn't pose a significant distraction. There are several trap gauntlets in the later going, one of them involving boulders that drop on you out of nowhere, but they're easily navigable after the initial surprise. The raptors had a tendency to get stuck in place, but that was the only real glitch I encountered. This builder may never make the Hall of Fame, but he never disappoints. Recommended." - Phil (29-Sep-2021)
"Sticking to this builder's solid and recognisable style of solid yet chill raiding experiences, this is another generally enjoyable level in a jungle environment. The gameplay isn't too difficult and it does tend to lack anything to make it a truly outstanding raid or the most memorable one out there, but the textures and lighting are nicely executed, the atmosphere is convincing, enemies are a nice challenge and it provides a decent and very easygoing raid. The T-Rex sequence was a highlight too." - Ryan (28-Sep-2021)
"(7) Gameplay & Puzzles: This is an easy, short (30 min) adventure with a pleasant and logical flow/sense of progression. There's nothing frustrating about the gameplay, but nothing memorable either. The builder does include a fun mixture of exploration, straight-forward platforming, combat and traps (and 1 timed run near the end), however the adventure is lacking in puzzles. (8) Enemies, Objects & Secrets: Enemy placement is good and I think that builder did a wonderful job of having the T-Rex startle the player before the player gets to actually fight it. Static object decor is beautiful and professionally done, particularly the builder's subtle use of sunrays. There's a good variety of traps in the 2nd stage of the game (underground), however I would like to have seen more uniqueness and memorability in their setups. I thought it was a neat touch that the builder would warn the player via on-screen text that they were about to venture into a new area and not be able to return to look for secrets. (8) Atmosphere, Sound & Cameras: The atmosphere is generally immersive and interesting. A small detractor to immersion is that Lara instantly teleports to a different room when she kills the T-Rex, and this seems awkward to me. There is a large grating dividing the 2 rooms; it would have been good if there was door as part of this grating, and for the door to open as soon as the T-Rex is killed. Classic TR3 music cues are well utilized, although when the 1 Native attacks Lara, he makes a bird squawking noise, which is weird. There is 1 timed run near the end of the game (the lever is next to a blade trap) and I think that it needed a tense sound cue to indicate that it is timed. There are adequate static camera hints, however the level is really missing flybys to enhance immersion. (8) Lighting & Textures: Both of these are of a very high-standard and I think that the builder did a great job with colored lighting. It's not an oppressively dark level, but it's still on the darker side, and visibility may be an issue when trying to spot shimmy-able cracks in the dark forest area. As such, I think it would have been better if the builder had provided more flares -- it's better to have too many flares than not enough. Overall, the the aesthetics are very polished and attractive, however I did not find the gameplay to be memorable. I would recommend this level to newer players, or people who are feeling nostalgic about TR3 and would like to play a short, easy adventure. 7/8/8/8." - nerdfury (27-Sep-2021)
"Typical to Opaque's style, this is a concise and visually appealing adventure. The gameplay is divided into two sections: 20 minutes of exploration;followed by 15 minutes of running, jumping and shooting. The initial outdoor location felt somewhat under-utilised; and the inexplicable teleportation resulting from the killing of the T-Rex made no sense at all,and took me temporarily out of the adventure. On the other hand, music and background ambience was well chosen;the textures and lighting were applied with a practiced eye; and gameplay was otherwise very fluent and logical. Nothing particularly challenging, but there's never a dull moment - and,for me,that was enough." - Orbit Dream (27-Sep-2021)
"A nice, relaxing raid like all Opaque's custom levels. Good texturing, good lighting -a bit on the dim side- nice environment and easy going progression. The second part has some mild challenges and some well placed boulders that got me every time. Found all the secrets but I missed the uzis. Fortunately, I didn't miss the rather hard to spot shotgun as there was a T-Rex that took several shots to kill. Recommended as an enjoyable, easy adventure of about one hour long." - billie2001 (26-Sep-2021)
"Another little adventure from Opaque's casual simplicity. We play as Underworld Lara in a level that is a mix between TR3 India & South Pacific plane crash site. As I said, the level is very simple, with flat lighting/shadows (author should improve this... adding more intensity to the lights, specially that part with lava floor. it looks so off, should be more vibrat... maybe a strong Sun light effect down & up the laval pool would work?) Gameplay wasn't the big thing too, but I enjoyed it. About the textures, they're fine, but the monotony of some should be avoided for making a better level next time. Not very impressive, but is a cute level. I enjoyed the subtitles btw! Is something that almost anybody uses in TRLE and I think should be more seen; it adds personality to the game somehow." - Jason L (25-Sep-2021)
