Reviewer's comments
"While this is a somewhat bland level with massive rooms, it's certainly the best from CharlesKane and as such it's quite ok for what it is. I did desire more kind of gameplay ideas and such, but for what it's worth, the gameplay that there is can pass. Again, an improvement over the other levels this builder made so that's a large plus." - OblivionJaw (01-Apr-2024)
"At 13 minutes a level with nothing complicated and where some of the things you can do are not mandatory to end the level. Enemies , gladiators and/or lions , come often by duos, and the two bigger ones don't need to be killed except if you want to raid the level completely . Lighting is here but texturing sometimes is not (disappearing in some of the rooms) and wrong sound for some door. Still a level that is quite playable." - eRIC (23-Mar-2024)
"It's funny how Turbo Pascal's levels were originally built as showcases and yet when you play this you immediately recall the source material. While I can't tell what it looked like, the geometry is pretty much the same for the first half of the level, then it changes into something else entirely, with lots of huge mostly empty cubes. Not much else to write home about, really. I find it funny how death tiles are marked by animated textures which are just random different textures just strung together. 20 minutes, 2 secrets. 01/24" - Treeble (07-Jan-2024)
"Literally the same level as in Quatax Temple from the blue site, but instead of being fixed, it got pasted here. Not really a good decision since it was the weaker part of the project so its standalone rating is gonna be lower." - DJ Full (21-Dec-2023)
"Following on from the Temple Entrance, the visual quality is noticeably different. The areas are a bit of a mishmash of textures, and towards the end they are rather slapdash, particularly the final couple of rooms. Progression isn't without its moments with some decent jumping sequences and enemy confrontations (mainly gladiators and lions and the formidable animated statue makes an appearance too), but is otherwise quite underwhelming and won't have you pausing for thought as you move swiftly from room to room. Not bad, but probably more for TR5 fans." - Ryan (20-Dec-2023)
"Another short raid at less than 20 minutes and not without its charm, in particular due to the rare use of the head enemy that shoots lasers from his eyes and the big stomping knight fellow. I also thought the camera work was quite solid, even if they only showed the glaringly obvious anway. Which is the issue with this level - it is completely simplistic in its progression, fully linear from switch to switch to switch... Along the way some roman guys and lions spice things up, but the rooms are mostly too large, too square and too empty, plus towards the end I had some issues with textures glitching and disappearing as well. Still, for an easy run, it is really not all that bad, if only for the target practice against the laser eyes ;)" - MichaelP (20-Dec-2023)
