Reviewer's comments
"A straightforward level consisting only in pulling some levers and solving easy puzzles. There are no enemies, no pickups besides the puzzle items and no music. The flybys always show you where to go next, although maybe they're not that necessary. It's very dark in places and we don't count with many flares to use. Anyway, it ends quite quickly." - alan (09-Aug-2018)
"This is very short, simple and linear. There's quite a few tasks to accomplish in this 11 minute level, including an easy jumping puzzle and flipmap, but they are all easily overcome and there are no enemies or secrets that I could find. The rooms and textures used are occasionally pleasing, but there were also some areas that looked like they could have used more work. The flybys were a bit dodgy and the lighting was a bit too gloomy in places, as well as a few oddly functioning ladders. Nice to see the guide make a return though." - Ryan (02-Aug-2018)
"Another 15 minute level that actually manages to pack quite a bit of action into its short running time. Pool draining, a simple jump puzzle, rope swing, fire traps etc. There are no enemies, but you do get a guide - not that he's of any actual use but it's always nice to have company, isn't it? The builder has used some nice textures to create handsome rooms, but occasionally the lighting is a bit low to appreciate them fully. It's a bit buggy at times however and you'll find ladders suddenly ceasing to work. Otherwise, it's quick, linear and easy." - Jay (14-May-2016)
"Odd and short level with several defects. After the first flipmap, the ladders to go down didn't work. Wrong flame emitters for the torches, don't approach too close or you'll burn. Unmarked fire traps in two rooms, I didn't found a hint for the deadly tiles in the final room. No musics for the many flybys (???). Easy tasks in this lineal level, I found no sense for the three levers in that dark room near the end. Where are the enemies and the objects? No cd tracks, no flares to light my way, some missing textures, very elongated textures in large panels... Not a good level, of course." - Jose (27-Nov-2015)
"How not to play a level. When you run into a room and you see fires floating on the surface of water don't jump in for a swim. And when you finally turn the fires off don't jump off the high ledge into the water because it ain't there no more. So I died twice in the first two minutes due to rushing around and not paying attention. This is a settomb.tom but it's nothing like what you'd expect it's very well textured like an Egyptian tomb/temple and I liked the lighting. Here is our guide again to light torches for us but he's a bit scared of moving ahead of Lara so you have to go first. It's an extremely short level but while it lasted it was great. There are very good but unnecessary flybys. And because there are no enemies just watching where you're stepping I think this would be suitable for older children to play. Well done." - CC (15-Oct-2004)
"It's such a pity a level with a very good atmosphere not to have puzzles. There is the timeless sands and the cartouche also some jumps and levers to push. You can see the guide from the 'Tomb of Seth' but he is of no use. No enemies so don't bother draw your guns. Too many flybys though for almost every door you open not necessary in my opinion. I would really like to see this with more puzzles and some enemies maybe the author will take my advice as it can be a very good level." - Kristina (23-Dec-2002)
"Very short and with no enemies it is almost a walk in the park. Almost as there are some traps and puzzles. There are some erratic flybys finding levers and some jumps and my favorite in this level was seeing Ahmed again. 29-10-2002" - Gerty (09-Nov-2002)
"Such a long and tantalizing title for such a short level. An enemy free settomb run with some deadly tiles many levers a couple of jumps and one puzzle. It's a good thing that there aren't as many Settomb quickies around as there are from the tutorial persuasion so this gloomy scenario is still quite pleasant to raid in. As the fly bys are generally telling you which door has opened even if it is in the same room you will reach the end in no time. Again Lara can move during the fly bys so try to memorize where the door is and then start running without switching to Lara's overshoulder and see if you can make it without bumping into walls. I found this highly entertaining. Well if the level itself is a bit dull you have to look for amusement where you can find it." - Dimpfelmoser (24-Aug-2002)
"With an oh too brief playing time of around 15 minutes this well thought out Egyptian style level was over before you knew it. There are no enemies to battle against instead booby traps are used to add the danger element here camera fly bys are also used very often but because the author put creative spins on them looking down from overhead and sideways I actually enjoyed them my favourite thing though was the great inclusion of the torch lighting guide from Last Revelation; he's unnecessary but it is nice to have an ally for once." - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"This is a very short (ten minutes) level with virtually no gameplay no enemies and no objects to pick up but quite a nice and enjoyable setting and atmosphere that is at least worth a brief look. A bit of fine-tuning on the numerous fly by cameras and the addition of a few sounds and this could be the start of a great level." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"This is not a bad little level that will take around 15 minutes but it really did lack in execution. A few high points were the disappearing water (it looked like the water was still there) and the return of Ahmed (although he was as talkative as ever). I hated the fire tiles that looked like ordinary tiles near the end of the level and overall it was too dark." - Torry (21-Jun-2002)
"This short level takes about 10 minutes to finish but these few minutes are enough to have fun with it. The level has a nice texturization and curiously NO enemies nor pickups (I can only remember the Timeless sands). It works around puzzles. There is the use of flyby cameras which were great even if Lara wouldn't 'lock' her position. This is also one of the few levels that uses the guide." - Treeble (21-Jun-2002)
"Set in yet another Egyptian tomb Lara basically has to make her way through this very linear level. The textures are superb it really creates atmosphere and makes it more enjoyable to play through. The lighting is also an outstanding achievement for example dark patches concealing places to climb up. But it doesn't really make it any more difficult as this level is very easy and short. The blue fog and blue lights don't really fit the tomb but adds a touch of uniqueness to the level. My favourite part of this level was a particular puzzle mid way through. It consists of various blocks with light streaming out of them and if you go wrong the walls suddenly become dark and you have to try again. Very original even though it is quite simple. What lets this level down is the fact that it is too short and it is not polished off. Some of the fly-bys go through walls and an unfinished flipmap. No enemies also brings my score down a bit. Overall the level is quite unusual with a strange fire puzzle at the end but I did enjoy it and if longer it could have been so much better." - TrueRaider (21-Jun-2002)
"It just doesn't get any easier than this a few switches pick-ups rope swings and some puzzles that are possibly the most simple I have ever seen and you are done. At fifteen minutes playing time there are absolutely no enemies and no secrets that I could find - no goodies either not that they are needed. This level is a great start for a good level though - the rooms are nicely done and I enjoyed the second room that was filled with the water that killed me instantly and then later drained without me realizing it (till I dived in of course). It was really good to see Ahmed again too." - RaiderGirl (21-Jun-2002)
"There's really nothing to this at all. The textures are generally ok but with some evident stretching. The design is ok but with a few annoyances (floors that burn with no warning e.g.). The puzzles are ok but seem insufficiently thought through. The fly-by's are ok but some need fine tuning. None of these would be too serious if the level were of generous size but with a 15 minute game time the author really had no excuse for not polishing it up properly." - Orbit Dream (21-Jun-2002)
"It is a short level and it goes straight forward. Something for in between. An interesting part is the appearance of the guide from the Tomb of Seth. No enemies no objects no secrets. The camera flybys are helpful." - Monika (21-Jun-2002)
"This is a game with no enemies. The puzzles are very easy and you pull a lever and the door near Lara is go open. The textures are nice. You can find no objects (only a cartouche and the timeless sands). No weapon and no ammunition. It is a nice work for your eyes but nothing to do." - Andi Croft (21-Jun-2002)
