Reviewer's comments
"This was a step upper in terms of looks , 10 minutes mostly of action , with a trip through rotating blades and thankfully Tombraiderfan designed a shortcut for the way back after picking up the golden Vraeus. A timed door , some fight with red ninjas , then you need to endure the attacks of a bull to smash 3 or 4 doors (one only to get a big medipack) before sliding to the end. Short but entertaining." - eRIC (04-Apr-2022)
"This game presented all of the benefits and positive points a classic game has to show to its fans and players. This level resembled TR4: Guardian of Semerkhet, plus some perfect lighting, texturing and designing the geometry. If you like to replay a better, but shorter version of the mentioned level, please give this game a try then! Have fun!" - Mehrbod (08-Jul-2019)
"This level would be an ideal starter for a beginner, aside from the bull sequence, possibly (they always seem to take me longer than others). The gameplay is very simple and linear but, for the short amount of time it lasts, is nice enough and the brief timed swim spruced the sequential gameplay up a bit, plus the looks are pleasing enough. The blade traps were a bit repetitive to go through, though." - Ryan (23-Jan-2018)
"A quick egyptian level with easy tasks, except for the bull at the end that you have to lure to some breakable doors. Lighting is sometimes too dark and I didn't find flares. There are many circle blades and those are quite hard to pass through without suffering a lot of damage. The best were the well applied textures." - alan (19-Oct-2017)
"This game could be over quite quickly ... or not. It rather depends on just how long you have to spend coaxing that dozy bull to break a few doors for you! Personally, I never seem to have much luck with the stupid creature. That aside, this possibly quite short level looks good - solidly made, with nice use of textures. There's not a lot to do pre bull wrangling - just a ureaus and guardian key to find, ninjas to kill, a short but fun timed swim and rather too many circular blade traps to jump through - no, mainly it's all about the bull. He may just try your patience a bit too much." - Jay (18-May-2015)
"Short and lineal level with a fast gameplay. Small rooms and simple architecture, I liked the texturization and lighting, but I found no flares for the dark areas. Also no objects to decorate, excessive circular blades for my taste, the enemies are only a bunch of bats and some black ninjas (and the bull you can't kill) but I didn't found extra weapons. Pulled some floor levers and a wheel timed switch, I think it was an error to place the two last lateral doors to be smashed for the bull in the last room, 'cause it cost me a lot to lure the bull to that doors in so small room. Playable but not very entertaining." - Jose (30-Apr-2015)
"Short and sweet, like an ass's gallop . . . or should I say a bull's gallop. Indoors, in a kind of temple setup and a nice little trot around to find a vraeus, a few jumps, a few levers, a few ninjas, and a run around so the bull can headbutt three doors. There was a fourth door, but no matter whatever I did I couldn't get the bull lined up to bash it. So I just slid down the ramp and left him there, stuck in the wall, where he was more inclined to stay that chase me. I actually liked the crazy flyby, swaying from side to side, showing two doors, as if it was saying 'which one'; and I liked the awkward little timed swim after the cog wheel." - CC (14-Jun-2005)
"I was dreading the infamous 'Bull sequence' (which I had read so much about) but fortuitously enough the Beast whacked into all four doors on each consecutive first attempt. What I found more of an irritation were the large numbers of Circular Saw traps which became rather annoying rather quickly (together with a camera view which wouldn't cut back to Lara). Nonetheless I enjoyed this mini adventure very much as it's soundly built fast moving and full of interest. Just the thing to play before you head off to bed." - Orbit Dream (06-Dec-2003)
"If it's the Guard wad you know which dreaded enemy awaits you at the end and here you have to tease the bull to smash no less than four doors for you and I had so much trouble with the last one that I was really tempted to quit. Somehow I couldn't get the bull interested in Lara he would rather jog against the wall. That spoiled the fun to some degree whereas to this point I had enjoyed myself. I liked the setting the assassination and the timed swim; I hate the circular blades though. There wasn't that much else was there?" - Dimpfelmoser (24-Aug-2002)
"This 15 minutes would be a great start to a longer level if you really like the circular blade traps the bull and a lot of dark corners and to be honest I'm not really into any of the above. Everything else was pretty simple and has you pulling a few switches and placing a few objects to open the doors. There is a nice firetrap and a timed door plus the bull gave me a hard time as he didn't want to smash the side doors in the last room. It took five minutes just to get the one on the left alone. I was glad to see the end as I just hate the bull - he always makes me nervous." - RaiderGirl (21-Jul-2002)
"This is a very short level at just on 15 minutes and although that time seems to have been filled with things to do they are all simple where this level does have its strongest points are with the enemies well mainly one the bull I have terrible memories of the bull from Last Revelation and it still gives me the shivers having to actually tease it into going for you so as to access the 4 doors in this level. I don't know if this was an accidental inclusion by the creator but at the start there is a 4 rotating blades puzzle the only thing is you can dive over the top of them without getting hurt which although a lot less dangerous it gave the puzzle no threat. And that one fly by just made me dizzy!" - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"The story of this level is quickly told: a number of Seth blades a short timed swim a dizzy making fly-by cam some bats and some ninjas and after 10-15 minutes you are done. But there is one highlight and that is the 'riding with the bull' finale being especially tricky with the side doors so you might want to try that out just for the fun of it." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"This is another short level that you will get through in around 15 minutes. Some areas are way too dark for my liking and when you finally encounter 'The Guardian' the level ends after a short waltz. Pity as it was just starting to get interesting." - Torry (21-Jun-2002)
"I think this would be a great level if it was longer. There are so few things to do in this short level. In the 10 minutes of the level there is a quick search for the Golden Vraeus a quick search for the Guardian Key and some dodging skills with a bull to open doors. It finished so suddenly after that door... The lighting is simple but the texturization is very nice!" - Treeble (21-Jun-2002)
"After some hesitation knowing the dreaded bull was in this level I made the plunge. By a miracle I managed it phew. Tricky part were the side doors. For the rest there is a lot to do but quite simple. The fly by made me dizzy don't like that. Very short level." - Gerty (21-Jun-2002)
"This level ends after less than ten minutes after the fight with the bull. That is the only real gameplay in this level. Other than that you just have to survive a couple of Seth Blades and pull levers that are very very close to the doors." - Magnus (21-Jun-2002)
"Based on the original guardian level with the bull smashing the doors I think this level is a test. An attempt to replicate it with some differences of course and the same textures. With only one puzzle the golden vreaus and much shorter in fact after the many stargates and a few levers you get to the bull room. It is a little difficult to lour the beast to the door with the lever that opens the exit because the room is quite narrow but after you succeed you realize that it was five minutes tops." - Kristina (21-Jun-2002)
