Shambhala was once known for its beautiful palaces and mystical energy, thought to be able to heal and support life. It is also said that the doors to this country were numerous throughout Asia. But over the centuries (because of wars, barbarism and various natural causes) the magic that animated these doors stopped working and Shambhala disappeared to the face of men. Today, when she walks in Burma in the region of Tanintharyi, Lara hears a group of kids talking about underwater ruins near to which is the nicknamed Rock of Bolen Del Gali in the Mergui Islands. Indeed, local traditions claim that a gate to Shambhala is located near this strange place in the form of a heart and the lights and sounds glimpsed might suggest that the door is always active. It was under thunder and a cloudy sky that our adventurer begins her quest to find Shambhala. |
