Background:
Ex Oblivione is a poem written by Howard Phillips Lovecraft between 1920 and 1921 and published in The United Amateur magazine.

Story:
After Lara's harrowing journey through the Dreamlands, she remains haunted by its mysteries. Though she escaped the labyrinthine reaches of Unknown Kadath, the Dreamlands have not relinquished their hold on her. Visions of its shimmering cities and eldritch horrors plague her sleep, and she yearns to return, to uncover the truths still hidden in that otherworldly expanse. But specially that of a Bronze Gate beyond the Golden Valley, a gate which serves as entrance to a place of unending wonders and where no wishes are unfulfilled.
But the gates between worlds are sealed to her now, her Silver Key has worn out and there's nothing she can do to go back. Desperate for a way back, Lara scours ancient texts for any mention of the Dreamlands—until Werner Von Croy contacts her with a discovery that chills her to the core.

Deep in the deserts of Oman, Von Croy has uncovered the Nameless City - a ruin so ancient, its builders predates the very first of our ancestors by eons. The mad Arab Abdul Alhazred wrote of it in dread-filled verses, who unlike many, returned... but changed.
Von Croy, ever the skeptic, seeks only archaeological glory and self fulfillment. But Lara knows better. The Nameless City is more than a ruin - it is a gateway. If the tales are true, somewhere within its cyclopean halls lies knowledge of such antiquity that will take Lara to her long desired Bronze Gate.
