Reviewer's comments
"Feels warm but could be lit better, also don't miss that item or you will retrieve it for a large fraction of game runtime. Despite of simplicity, it's one of those levels which actually achieve the goal promised. Recommended for a starter or ender of the day." - DJ Full (01-Dec-2024)
"Lara's actual "meeting" itself may not be a short meeting at all who knows? as we hardly get to see it, in fact we only meet properly a couple of men and a dog and let's just say it wasn't friendly. I'll tell you what was definitely short though: this level! at a finish time of 16 mins for me. To start things off I really like the calm, elegant and relaxing music on repeat here very nice, oh and of course Lara's cute and bright outfit! especially the hat! I wonder if she wants to impress a certain someone maybe? Lol. Anyway set in a French location in the year 2000 we get to explore little garden areas, pools and underground areas and caves as the majority of the level consists of simple and basic tasks. These tasks include finding items, levers/ switches, moving boxes around, and avoiding fire and bolder traps with the only highlights for me being these traps and of course the random nightclub/ disco room leading off a cave room?! I liked the music in there as well actually and so did the fish in the aquarium it seems! Once you've finished getting your jive on and inserted the right item it's time to exit and find out who Lara is meeting! could it be a certain tall dark handsome fella from another game? Give this level a go and find out" - John (22-Dec-2023)
"The sole offering from this author is actually not bad, although lacking in substance. Lara's on her way to the most exclusive night club and somehow Kurtis is just standing outside while Lara does all the work. Not a whole lot of it though, with just a couple of keys and levers to find. It's pretty linear and straightforward and the background audio (except for the night club bit, of course) is rather soothing. A nice, if uneventful, way to unwind. 15 minutes. 01/22" - Treeble (09-Jan-2022)
"Nice little level but the music was the best feature. Good use of objects and a pleasant 15 minute Raid." - High Priestess (18-Mar-2018)
"There's something rather charming and likeable about this little level, despite it being very linear and straightforward. Maybe it was the cheerful environments, music or the quirky (and slightly tacky) outfit, but it was all quite pleasing, despite only lasting nine minutes." - Ryan (18-Jun-2017)
"An interesting level with a few nice quirks. The music is very pleasant to listen to, and extends long enough to not feel repetitive. And Lara's outfit is quite nice to look at on the whole. Unfortunately the first two rooms of this level turned out to be the only believable atmosphere, as the quaint look of a modern French structure is traded for caves, caves, a desert with trees, and then another cave (with a dance-club room). This really killed the mood for me, making the wonderful music seem almost pointless, as it doesn't fit the rest of the level at all. There also isn't much to do in this level, apart from killing some baddies and pulling some levers. Which is really too bad, because there's a lot of potential coming from this builder -- it just needs to be refined into a more coherent package." - Xela (04-Aug-2013)
"Short but nice level. Lara looks very pretty. Brilliant rooms and textures. Music - not bad. The only bad thing is walking most time in basement and in caves. Strange is coming from cave to disco. But the rest is wonderful." - Andzia9 (08-Oct-2009)
"Very short and simple level, but still good. The author just added my favorite kinds of music, classic and party music, so I liked atmosphere. Lara's outfit was also good. The level is obviously made around the highlight of the level, the final party place, I just wish if the author made the place more extensive, and there could have been partyfaces too. The moving lights were fantastic. Play it for a short out of the ordinary experience. And I hope we will see more levels from this author." - Akcy (08-Dec-2007)
"This is a short and very nice debut level. Straightforward gameplay, nice easy puzzles and well chosen objects. The provided music is super and the atmosphere is very good (because of the lighting), although the textures could have been better applied as I had sometimes the wallpaper feeling. There could have been more challenging situations but I did enjoy this level and would like to see another level soon as this builder has great potential." - Catherin (02-Aug-2006)
"What a beautiful environment! It seems that the vocation of this builder is the decoration. Level is very short (I only need a few savegame slots) and you'll not find difficult tasks so as interesting puzzles too. Lara wears her best outfit 'cause she's going to meet with her... boyfriend? (at the end), but some dogs and shooters will try to impede it, and she only have her pistols. You'll enjoy a piece of background classic music during the game." - Jose (22-Jun-2006)
"Lara goes through a house and garden area, a couple water rooms and an underground room with a simple moveable block puzzle, then a large field and eventually into a party room--all the while hunting down her date for the dance. This is a short and fun level. There are definitely a lot of enemies in it for it being as short as it is. The puzzles are ultra-easy. There's not a lot of pickups so don't pass by any of the medipacks. It's worth one play for sure." - drguycrain (23-May-2006)
"Lara in a cute outfit is searching for keys in a semi mansion/Egyptian setting which is very appealing. As enemies we get a few guys with quick guns and the level is very short and a bit 'empty', it lasted ten minutes. In the end she will get her meeting with Kurtis." - Kristina (19-May-2006)
"A short and fast paced level with Lara dressed in pink with a pretty hat. Not an outfit I would choose for a raiding party but in here she does visit a disco I was glad I could leave as soon as, as the music was not to my taste at all. The first track was much nicer. There are quite a few guards to shoot and I was glad to find the medipacks on the way. Some furniture you could run through and I didn't have to use the lever at all as walking behind that box opened the door for me." - Gerty (12-May-2006)
"I'm not going to pretend that this is the best level I've ever played, but there's something rather pleasant about it. Lara's wearing a holiday outfit and the sun is shining, which put me in a good mood and what with the peaceful music I was lulled into such a state of relaxation I was quite cross to be disturbed by the occasional gunman or dog. The gameplay is very simple and linear and takes place in a slightly odd mix of buildings, garden areas and disco before Lara finally gets to her meeting. It's short (15 minutes) and not without charm - certainly a good effort for a first time build." - Jay (02-May-2006)
"Geez, doesn't Lara ever catch a break? All she wants to do is meet up with a buddy but to do this she has to spend 15 minutes fending off dogs and snipers as she finds some levers that will let her out of her house where she takes a dip that leads to a forest and finally to her friend. Frankly I'd take the bus next time. This has the look of a beginner as the textures aren't applied perfectly and the gaming is all very basic, but everybody has to start somewhere and this ain't so bad." - Sash (01-May-2006)
"I enjoyed this short level. Loved the outfit. I was a bit worried about the hat while swimming lol! I found most of the lighting very bright. There are a few basic things to do before meeting up with Kurtis, at least he waited." - Moonliteshadow (25-Apr-2006)
"Lara (dressed in yet another tacky pink outfit)wanders around a vibrantly colourful and surreal dwelling to the accompaniment of a John Barry-esque score, encountering the occasional Thug. It's all rather twee and occasionally quirky (in an 'Oxy-lite' kind of way) but the ending is quite pleasing." - Orbit Dream (20-Apr-2006)
"A nice little debut level. Light hearted romp through a house and garden complex. Lara's outfit is gorgeous. I can't open exe's on the mac, so I'll have to guess about what is happening here. It seems a party has been organised for someone.. in France... But to get there Lara must make her way through the underground, swim through tunnels and battle some gunmen and dogs. So is this lovely lady trying to gatecrash? lol. When she finally makes it everyone has gone, except Kurtis, who is waiting for her in the garden. All very straight forward stuff. The boulders, fire emitters and moveable boxes are all easily dealt with. There are beginner's hiccups like run-through furniture. But a nice first effort, and hopefully we'll see a lot more." - CC (18-Apr-2006)
"A charming debut level with nice uplifting audio tracks and good choice of objects and outfit. It is rather short though (15 minutes) and with not much to do (a few switches, pull a few boxes, a bit of swimming, kill a few bad guys and dogs), but we all have to start somewhere and this clearly shows that the basic building skills are there. The party room is impressive and a nice highlight, before you meet Kurtis and the level ends." - MichaelP (17-Apr-2006)
