Reviewer's comments
"Looks and plays like an early 2000 custom level, just a bunch of walls thrown together and auto textured, missing SFX and general lack of purpose or interest. (But then again, I also released a couple of levels like this when I was young, so no judging here.) 5 minutes. 03/23" - Treeble (26-Mar-2023)
"Say 'Labyrinth' and I say 'Yes please!'. Hmmm, have nothing else to say really. It IS a labyrinth but a very small one. For some reason mine was soundproof for the outer world as I had no sound at all in-game. Well at least you get a choice: either burn your feet and end in misery and in the dark or swim to your freedom and get no reward for finishing it at all. So back to the load screen you go." - bERT (25-Dec-2022)
"DJ Full’s uncanny ability to spot ‘potential’ even in something as forgettable as this will never cease to amaze me. As far as I’m concerned, the concept of an entire level comprising nothing but a maze is fatally flawed to begin with, and so is one possible outcome here, namely sudden death by unmarked death tile. These are indicators of negative potential, if anything. (The other possible outcome is that you reach the finish trigger after a minute or so of nothing happening. Or you could choose to starve in the pit right at the start.) The builder himself realised that this was the one song he had in him, and applied his potential to hopefully more successful endeavours instead." - Mulf (07-Jul-2021)
"Wow, this was interesting, gives me vibes of another more recent custom which I wrote a walkthrough for, but this one manages to be more fun and entertaining then the latter, quickly looking at all marks: there is almost no gameplay to be found, walk from A to B, no platforming, a random swim, flat zero, the enemies are two and there are four or more medipacks I did not bother picking, gonna give a 1 only because I can avoid the hassle of having to combat with them; atmosphere is non existent but I do appreciate the fact the builder knew how to change lighting and not keep everything dull, lack of sound effects do not help at all the experience, still deserves a 1; Minimal work in the lighting department is always appreciated to not have only bright rooms or only dark, though the texturing is not really anything special, I already gave that 1 for the atmosphere, it is not gonna fit here sadly.
Short, but more manageable than another similar custom, do not play it unless you are a reviewer, Wolfy Regards :3" - Wolf7 (05-Jul-2021)
"Always veer left and you will finish this one quickly. No sound affects at all and at first I thought my sound card had carked it." - Torry (06-Jan-2020)
"2 solutions to finish: quickly, always go left and dive or walk around the labyrinth to kill 2 demigods" - Drakan (11-Nov-2018)
"Labyrinth... is there more to say? Well, you can choose to end the level by swimming or fight a few demigods first. Take this review as a walkthrough. Only for those willing to increase their review count pretty easily." - Ryan (11-Dec-2016)
"Another notch on my belt, 'nuf said" - Gerty (06-Apr-2011)
"Well that level lasted few minutes and I'm glad it's over. One point for the maze and a finish trigger, one for the orange colored water. Not recommended though." - manarch2 (04-Dec-2010)
"This is not a complicated project. It's rather a little something for short break, not very amusing and very simply constructed, but it has one thing I like - a player has the choice: either to turn left and easily finish the level, or to go right and discover some traps and fight some demigods. SUMMARY: Ability to choose the way is always a good thing. Unfortunately, it's the only one worth mentioning here. If only the author wanted to make something more... Maybe next time. I hope so, as I can feel some kind of potential in this level." - DJ Full (02-Oct-2010)
"A quick review for a quick level. The author had the most original idea of - you guessed it - a giant maze. Unmarked death squares and a demigod are your only enemies (besides the level itself). Find a pool of water, pull out the other end and you're done. The sound effects are missing somehow. 2 minutes and 56 seconds." - SSJ6Wolf (29-Sep-2010)
"After less than five minutes it is again over with the magnificence. And I sit here before the PC and do not know what I should write. It would have been better anyway if this level had never seen the daylight. The textures were stretched, the water jet came from Nothing and if Lara died, the level immediately crashes on the desktop. In the final space the textures were completely absent. And now more does not occur to me also any more. Nevertheless, there it has lasted really longer to write this Review, than to play the level." - Scottie (09-Jan-2010)
"Don't fall into the first pit or you'll have to reload! When I saw four medipacks at the very beginning I began to have not a good impression. I don't know why the fire traps were not marked and the only enemie I found was paralytic. A level so extremely short must never be released." - Jose (16-Nov-2009)
"A pointless level wtih nothing in it apart from boredom. The only thing i can comment on is the orange water which i thought was rather different. Grade = F" - herothing (29-Oct-2009)
"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. This is such a beginner's effort I really can't think why the builder released it for general consumption. It is at least blessedly short - blink and you'll miss it. Small though the download is, it's still just not worth it." - Jay (24-Oct-2009)
"If I had looked at the screenshots or reviews of this "level" before starting the download it would be safe to say that I'd easily resist the temptation. By ignoring the four large medipacks at the very start and the two demi-gods you can easily complete this task in 1 minute. Not sure if it's worth spending one minute on though. The "fountain" could have been nice in any other setting, but here it just seemed completely out of place. At some point I took a wrong turn and ran onto a burning floor cleverly disguised as....a regular floor with no hints of the impending danger. It took me longer to download and install than to play and this says it all really. One to play for a free review." - Selene (24-Oct-2009)
"A small labyrinth where you can reach the finish trigger after one minute if you get it right immediately. On the other hand (or end) Lara bursts without warning in what seems a dead end. There is also a gap where she can't exit. The author has placed a couple of demigods i did not fight , repetitive texturing, total absence of sfx sounds. At least there is presence of lighting." - eRIC (24-Oct-2009)
"Lara is caught in a maze and needs to find the safe exit...Luckily that exit is only about one minute away from the start in this obvious first attempt at producing a custom level. It should probably not ever have left the harddisk of the builder, but as it did, it comes across without sounds (the builder provided them in the original release at the Levelbase, but as the level comes as a TR4 file, these cannot be included after the fact, so you play in general silence. But it doesn't last long anyway, so not much of a miss in the end. Only for the completists out there..." - MichaelP (23-Oct-2009)
"Is this level a joke? God, why did the builder submitted it? That's why I think this: Repetitive textures.(and lots of textures are missing at the end) The gameplay is 1-2 minute long and a boring, small maze. As Michael said, this level seems to be the builder's 1st try, so hopefully, we'll get a much better level next time. One point to the enemies because of the demigod, and 1 point to the textures because of the lava textures (I liked it.)" - rtrger (23-Oct-2009)
"Actually it's a fairly small labyrinth, and the only excitement are two encounters with demi-gods. If you run past them, you should be finished within a minute;killing them will pad out the gameplay by another 60 seconds or so. A first try,and very much so." - Orbit Dream (23-Oct-2009)
"I'm sorry to put bad marks but according to me there is nothing interesting in this level. Almost no effect of lighting, stretched textures, no secrets or objects, no gameplay, no puzzles... I encourage the author to continue with editor and to supply an excellent level for the next time!" - m.julien (23-Oct-2009)
