Reviewer's comments
"It is a nice level but can be finished quickly by recovering the 2 canopic, to put them in their place, which allows to have access to the higher platforms and from there jump in the opening to run towards the trigger finish. Otherwise it's a nice and nice level with correct texturing." - Drakan (27-Nov-2018)
"Another pleasant surprise provided by an early Egyptian level with scores lower than what are deserved. The two major playing areas appear to be widely separated, but the builder has cleverly arranged things to make them interconnected. Harry Laudie has given us a walkthrough that explains these details as they unfold, and I had quite a good time for the 35 minutes this level lasted. It's quite dark in spots, but I resisted the temptation to manufacture additional equipment and found a couple of flare pickups literally in the nick of time. The builder has apparently corrected a few errors noted by Harry, as the Golden Vraeus is now properly named, and the level finishes normally rather than crashing to the desktop. Standard Egyptian fare, but a fun raid." - Phil (01-May-2018)
"This level is made with the karnak wad and objects. Some cameras are missing to tell the function of the buttons, but you can almost always figure out what that button did. It's dark in places but there are enough flares to collect. Enemies are black scorpions and ninjas. I would have liked to find more powerful weapons to kill those. Textures are well applied though some rooms are a bit blocky. It ended after 30 minutes for me." - alan (21-Feb-2018)
"Similar to the other levels of this builder, this one has some aesthetically pleasing sights but falls short in involving gameplay. The Karnak atmosphere is well caught and there are the usual enemies trying to hinder Lara: red ninjas and scorpions. You'll mostly be running around collecting items and pushing switches while exploring fairly dark corridors. Not bad, but it lacks a certain something to bring it into "great" territory." - Ryan (03-Sep-2017)
"A solidly built Karnak style level with very easy gameplay, other than wondering which way to go next. There are a goodly number of camera hints as to which button has done what, but you will inevitably spend quite a lot of time running around. Scorpions and ninjas crop up from time to time, but mainly it's all about pushing that next button." - Jay (21-Jan-2016)
"A non-linear level but rather easy in which you have to pick up some artifacts to progress. You have many places to go and to get back but still it's easy. Enemies were only black ninjas and scorpions. Atmsphere and textures were OK." - Gonxii (28-Nov-2015)
"This level is well designed and easy to play, but it's too no-lineal so I found often dead ends and I had to retrace my steps to the same places many times. Even so, the distances are not too long. Not many enemies to shoot, I liked the cameras when triggering something, but when pressing the last button there was not a camera and the triggered room was very far so I had to explore almost the entire level. The gameplay is simple, pressing buttons and looking for artifacts to place, shooting some enemies on your way. There are many dark areas, but I didn't found enough flares to light my way. The best were the nice environments and the cameras." - Jose (17-Jun-2015)
"In this Karnak level one must find a Vraeus and two Canopic Jar. Aim is to put a court half under water. Then one reaches a wall opening and the level end. However, the level farmer has not considered which one can jump already before from above with an exactly jump in this wall opening. However, I recommend to go the normal way, because though the level is rather short with about 25-minute playing time, but good interesting and built. The rooms are varied designed and the textures are applied cleanly. The riddles are relatively easy, because one knows any time where one has to go there. Moreover, there are enough good made flybys. Opponents were Baddies and scorpions Result: More solidly, even if somewhat short, level which is suitable quite well for beginners" - Scottie (11-Jun-2009)
"Very nice little Karnak level not the usual type of temple complex but we get to go outside and inside down below to swim and above in a large room. A bit of toing and froing to open doors but not too difficult. I saw almost immediately that the idea is to get two canopic jars. I liked the flipmap of flooding the large room. The only shock was after a swim and a flyby a ninja attacks immediately. As per usual great lighting and good texturing." - CC (25-Jan-2004)
"This author sure has a medipack fetish. A lot of them lying around mostly in dark spots. Seriously this is a not so bad Karnak level with canopic jars and the vraeus to be found and in settings that are nicely built and textured. Watch the triangular corridors which I think are the most memorable for this level. The author uses the editor to the full with nice fly-by's and good static camera use though the flybys near the end where somehow pointless and mediocre. Enemies are ok found no secrets. One 'big' mistake: you can reach the finish trigger far sooner than intended with a deep and far jump. Not bad for play in between biggies." - bERT (14-Jul-2003)
"One more nice level from this author. The items you will need are two canopic jars and one vraeus. Pushing buttons and placing the items will open the necessary doors to be able to proceed. The setting is nice but there is a lack of enemies some ninjas and scorpions I believe randomly placed weren't much of a challenge. After some swimming and flooding a room you end this level. It took thirty minutes to complete." - Kristina (23-Dec-2002)
"More fast paced and easy fun from the Levelzentrum. In fact this is a bit too simple if you ask me and due to a designer mistake you can actually leave the level after 6 minutes and miss all the fun. The area is cleverly constructed and solidly built but the gameplay is somewhat boring with nothing much to do than run down the corridors swim through a few underwater ways and the occasional jump to master. The crucial items are placed listlessly you get far too many medi packs and we could have done with the a few traps. However the assassin that jumps on you immediately after the cut scene was dead good and all in all I enjoyed this almost as much as the other levels from the God series. Off I run to the Base." - Dimpfelmoser (25-Oct-2002)
"It must be me. There is one jump to a doorway above a slope (with water beneath) which I just couldn't manage no matter how hard nor how often I tried. No-one else mentions this so I'll give the level the benefit of the doubt (thank goodness for DOZY) and pretend that it never happened. And a rather good level it is too. Yes it's dark; but not everywhere and the atmosphere benefits from that. The rooms are large well designed and very explorable. In fact the level is generally non-linear but nevertheless quite simple to get through. Full marks also to the outside area which has unostentatiously clever design." - Orbit Dream (17-Sep-2002)
"I always like a good Karnak level as long as it doesn't look like the original game and the author's done a good job here of giving it a look of its own. There are few enemies but a lot of exploration here as you need to find and place a golden vraeus and two canopic jars and there are usually a few paths to choose from. I found many of the areas to be too dark for my tastes and personally could have used a few more flares but there were also some bright outdoor areas and even some underwater areas to explore. The rooms are built and textured well and most buttons had a helpful camera shot or flyby to show what it did." - RaiderGirl (23-Jul-2002)
"I had to rate this fairly nice level quite low for a few reasons at 25 minutes it is just too short there are only a handful of enemies key pick ups are too obviously placed and progression and game play is basic. The textures using the karnak WAD and lighting are very suitable for the environment and atmosphere of the level giving it an eerie and claustrophobic feel in places. As this is a .prj file and downloading time is mere seconds you really can't go wrong with this short but nice little level." - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"Another level from the series that the Levelzentrum has produced and similar to the others it is 'good value for money' as it comes as a PRJ file download (ie very small) and provides you with 30 minutes of gameplay which is uneventful in terms of real challenges but quite enjoyable nonetheless. A lot of running around in the setting which is quite appealing is required and there are only very few and very minor bugs." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"A good level even if it's short (around 30 minutes of net gaming). It was quite enjoyable and I think the objects textures and lighting make a great atmosphere together. I didn't find any bugs except maybe for a water room without water. It's big fun packed in a small zipfile." - Treeble (21-Jun-2002)
"This level struck me as an experiment in learning the level editor. The gameplay is just too easy with key pickups left pretty much in your path and a few buttons to push. Still with fairly little to accomplish Lara has a lot of jogging around in order to accomplish it. Cameras were a bit overused for such a simple level but in the one instance where a camera would have made sense (after a room floods) there is none leaving you to wonder just what you did when you pushed that button. There is an effort made to use lighting effects and the textures are well done in many areas." - Tombaholic (21-Jun-2002)
"Another small download and a very short (too short in my opinion) level. Nice gameplay bit of backtracking find two canopy jars to open doors. Lightning is a bit dark at places but there is enough flares to go around. Some textures were a bit thin there is also an invisible door block but for such a small download it's packed with fun. 25-05-2002" - Gerty (21-Jun-2002)
