Reviewer's comments
"Kind of odd that this one was released after Picard vs Romulans as it almost feels like a practice level for that one, with similar concept (collect 4 energy cells) and objects used, but even shorter at just over 20 minutes or so and overall much more bland and simplistic corridors and rooms being used here. The stargate object is nice, as are the R2D2s that roam around. There is a toxic room challenge here, but otherwise it is mostly running around and killing about a dozen of those blue ahmets along the way which quickly gets tedious and boring. Again a nice ending scene here, but getting there is a bit of a dull affair on this one." - MichaelP (19-Mar-2024)
"Again, another typical space level by Franky. This time is shorter, and I found some features I didn't like, like the black rooms, the unmarked anti-gravity tiles and I think there's a situation forcing you to reload or start the level again: in my case I missed the portable data with the code for the keypad; I explored all the area near the first stargate but unsuccessful, so I had to read the walkthrough and I saw that code was hidden in the previous rooms; the problem is that there's not an anti-gravity tile next to the hig entrance opening, so I couldn't go back to look for that code (stucked forever). Talking about another questions, the enemies are only ameths, and they can be shooted only with pistols or revolver so what the explosive ammo was for? I had to shoot a lot of beasts only with the pistols. The remaining features are similar to another levels created by this author so you can imagine the ambience and the environments. Not a good level this time in my opinion. Sorry." - Jose (08-Sep-2021)
"First half - the intro tub trap and the ahmet fight in the blue stargate room accompanied with a sweet alteration of the main TR theme, is new and original. Second half is almost entirely recycled from the earlier episodes - we get a hub corridor pitchforking to familiar rooms. It would be good to take more of the former and less of the latter approach (and by approach I don't mean design - I'm not asking to now reuse the first half of this map in the next maps instead)." - DJ Full (17-May-2021)
"Franky did the unspeakable OwO This Level is actually based on the Stargate Show, that does ot exist - Stargate Universe! As much as i love the fact, that actual scenes of the series are used in the cutszenes in the opening and ending, as much i do not like it, cause it makes this levels absolutely unstreamable on Twitch and Co. Her we find ourselves as Chloe Armstrong, just captured by the Nakai, a blue alien race with glowing blue eyes (at lest thats what they were in the actual series). Here we meet a load of ice (???) ahmeds in a white colour sheme. Beside the fact, that the whole weapon arsenal that Chloe finds here does not really suit her character as zivilian person that seems to be more of an eycandy then anything else. All in all there are a lot of confusing rooms and i discovered at least two softlocks that should be fixed at some point :) All in all that was kinda interesting but also pretty confusing, i am sure Franky can do better! :)" - Lilly Jericho (02-Apr-2021)
"Franky’s really churning them out at a fair old rate of knots these days. Still firmly in alien mode, this time I felt the settings were somewhat drab, compared to the previous two ‘Picard’ levels which were quite atmospheric and grand. Parts of this (not very long) level are rather bland and labyrinthine in appearance. Enemies are lots of re-textured ahmets, which do at least give a pleasant ambience when they burst into flames. It’s certainly not one of Franky’s best levels, but it doesn’t overstay its welcome and fans of the alien genre should be entertained enough." - Jay (30-Mar-2021)
"This game had a lot of potential to be fun but it just wasn't for me. Things I did enjoy were the pleasing textures (to some of the rooms such as the cafeteria and housing areas), but others were just awful. There were certain areas that required you to jump really high but there were no indicators of that this is what needed to happen. The enemies were annoying buy easy to do away with. The audio could have been better, some tracks endlessly repeated until another area was entered to trigger another. It is a good level for a beginner Raider to play, but it is not a super exciting level." - g12STL (24-Mar-2021)
"Oh come on... as a new level only three weeks after the previous, this level shows that it is released prematurely. While some areas have the same "standard" as previous offerings, there are rooms textured with one texture on all walls and the ceiling, making it a pain for the eyes, which at least fits to the pain for the ears created by the certainly not ambient background audio. The gameplay is also very uninspired again, with a short timed sequence in a poisonous room as the only changes in otherwise more of the same, by now worn out, stuff. Please come to consider a) trying an entire change of style and setting but at least b) taking much more time before releasing the next one, it is really no joy anymore." - manarch2 (24-Mar-2021)
"Another month, another Franky level.Ignore the cat in the initial loading screen;ignore the footage from the Stargate TV series at the start and end;do your best to ignore the headache-inducing and entirely irrelevant electro 'hurry' music that permeates the level from beginning to end.For the matter of that, you can ignore most of the strange objects as well - excepting the ONE,out of all of them, that is shootable - despite looking absolutely no different to any of the others...it's that sort of gameplay. There are several places where the player can get stuck if they miss something the first time around;the builder gets things off to a dreary start with a drab underwater maze;the R2D2 droids are overused and serve no function;the textures are unexciting;and the lighting hurts the eye. Some of the objects are rather cute, though;and the builder forgot (?) to disable DOZY,so there was no problem despatching the multitude of spiky ahmets. To sum up:an absolutely typical Franky offering." - Orbit Dream (21-Mar-2021)
"The earliest reviews seem to set the ratings pace for most levels, so I might as well hop in here first. This is a continuation of the alien-themed levels being released on a fairly consistent basis by Franky, and this one is not really as inspired as some of the others. It's short (Doggett TV's glitch-free video clocks in at less than 20 minutes) and many of the same conventions are repeated with no attempt at innovation. The enemies this time are limited to spiny ahmets, and Franky has been a little more stingy this time with the armament. Still, it's a pleasant enough change of pace for the time it lasts, and it's always nice to get away from the traditional Tomb Raider environments once in a while." - Phil (20-Mar-2021)
"I did not enjoy this level. It feels rushed, as there are boxy and empty rooms that shouldn't be there (or at least decorate them) green ambience room was inappropriate as it was not good for my eyes. Gameplay-wise there were no puzzles or any stuff to do - just shoot some ahmets and you're done. Overall I think this level could've been better. I also strongly encourage the author to change themes because it's getting repetitive but of course the author doesn't have to." - Kubsy (20-Mar-2021)
"This is easily the shortest installment in the Stargate saga so far, and unfortunately it's not one of Franky's more inspired efforts. It's not bad as such, but the gameplay doesn't really offer a whole lot to sufficiently involve the player, short of pushing a few buttons and bumping off hordes of ahmets. In fairness, that was similar to the previous games in this series, but it's a lot more noticeable this time around due to the extremely brief duration. The metallic textures and overly extreme lighting effects were a bit overwhelming to my eyes after a while too, although the atmosphere and music wasn't half bad. Still, I suppose it is a nice change of pace from the more traditional raiding environments." - Ryan (20-Mar-2021)
