Reviewer's comments
"A ship level probably inspired by TR3 Antarctica. The bike was a nice addition; it was kinda fun to make some stunts with it. But after I realised it had no finish trigger I had to quit." - alan (20-Oct-2022)
"The author has tried to bring a level with originality and designed the shape of a ship stuck in the ice, the bottom of the ship prow is realist with its oblique surfaces. I also liked the idea of the hanging motorcycle. Aside from that , the level does not offer much to do aside from killing some SAS and flipping floor switches , and not much else to see aside from rooms that are not well designed in terms of rooms connection resulting in disappearing textures. There is the possibility to ride a motorcycle for a while , you can do that almost at the beginning. A level that lacks purpose with no finish trigger, and that alone makes it rather pointless to play." - eRIC (14-Sep-2019)
"I was hoping for one of those levels in which the builder’s enthusiasm carries the day over their obvious lack of experience; although usually underappreciated and not much to look at, they can be a lot of fun because said enthusiasm prods the builder into simply going with their bizarre ideas without playing it too boringly safe. This is sadly not the case here. The level’s two outstanding featuresâ€"a motorbike suspended by two little ladders standing in for actual rigging and a random explosion achieved by means of the MINE objectâ€"are of a merely decorative character or used simply for effect, with no impact whatsoever on gameplay. For the rest, the game is essentially a leverfest, interspersed with shooting some SAS, which takes place in a series of disconcertingly disjointed rooms (the eponymous ship never materialises as a whole), with no discernible progression or even a finish trigger. Not a diamond in the rough, then, nor recommendable." - Mulf (10-Jan-2018)
"Another short level where you can't reload or the game will crash. Nothing interesting here, pull a lever, pull another lever and pull more levers. I don't know what the crowbar was for. Shoot some SAS, I went back to the deck where the hanging motorbike was and got totally disoriented. Then I could see in the walkthrough that there's not a finish trigger. Not worth to play." - Jose (18-Dec-2017)
"Kill a few guards, briefly explore a "ship" and ride a motorbike around to your heart's content, as there is no finish trigger. I wouldn't bother if I were you." - Ryan (18-Aug-2017)
"Oof, well not much to say in favour of this extremely brief lever throwing exercise. There are a few guards to shoot and that's about it. The ship isn't particularly well realised either." - Jay (05-Aug-2016)
"This is a very short (can be ended in 5 minutes) level with not much do to than kill a few gunmen and end up in a snowy area with the motorcycle where the level basically ends as there is no finish trigger. The level crashed when trying to load from a save game and also when I drove the bike over the edge and it fell down and exploded. Textures are minimalist and there are some missing ones - the lighting is fairly bright and flat except for a few dark spots. Didn't find any secrets." - Blue43 (27-Feb-2011)
"To this level there is to write not really a lot. Lara has bumped somewhere in cold fields into a ship. She must put down some lever to open a few doors. Besides, a few SAS soldiers irritate. There is nothing to find and to solve no secrets. If one has done everything, one can turn by a motorcycle, which is guarded outdoors by a Sentry-Gun, a round. It was this already. There is no endtrigger. If one makes everything, the play lasts about 20 minutes. However, one must make not everything, but also is able immediately to the motorcycle, then the play lasts 5 minutes. The whole thing also looks not very inviting. Moreover, there is still a Savegamebug. Result: You can play it, but it must not be" - Scottie (16-Apr-2009)
"There are some dark spots and some missing textures, but this aside the look of the level isn't that bad although texturing could have been a little more varying. And that goes for gameplay too which is only shooting some guys, running from one switch to the next and then looking for the according door (no camera hints). I don't know what all the switch pulling near the end was good for as I ended up in the area I had already passed before and where the bike was which could have been taken without doing the following part. Also I don't know what the crowbar was good for. I was thrown to desktop every time Lara died or when I tried loading a savegame." - Jerry (03-Mar-2009)
"A five minute level with no ending. You'll find some levers and a few guards to shoot then get the bike and have no where to drive to well you can drive through a few walls and end up all over the place but other than that not worth the download. Sorry but it was a horrible mess!" - Moonpooka (20-Sep-2004)
"There is a little bit gameplay because Lara has to avoid fire traps shoot three or four SAS soldiers and pull switches. The motorcycle looks more like a decoration than an object because you can't use it. On the other hand it really makes it look like a cargo ship. The textures are OK. Since there wasn't a finishing trigger I decided to explore the area outside the ship by using DOZY. The icebergs are quite beautiful but there isn't any water around them (it may look a little bit like water but it isn't). When I pressed 'Exit to Title' I crashed to the desktop (there is a problem with the load screen). While I was playing this level Lara didn't die at all. So I didn't crash to the desktop more than once." - Sakusha (17-Apr-2004)
"I wonder if I finished this level properly as I found no finishing trigger. It's a ship not very well done with thin walls and you can see beyond the walls as sometimes are too low there are many levers and not much else to do. Open the few doors pull another lever the fires aren't hurting Lara by the way and eventually find two bikes. One was hanging with two ladders holding it how strange a lever had a door in front of it but no wall in one side so you could see through. Finally I got to see the second bike near a sentry gun and some more SAS guards and after driving a little I quitted the game. If someone ever finds anything else to do in here or the finishing trigger let me know. For 6MB of download it certainly doesn't worth it." - Kristina (07-Jul-2003)
"Nothing remarkable here Matthias' review says it all and better than I could ever describe. A strange thing is that I'm quite sure I saw a Lara's butt jumping on the ice and then exploding (LOLOL)." - eTux (29-Dec-2002)
"After writing the review for this level I read all the others and I had to laugh at the review of Ian and Matthias and deleted mine as they say it all. I also completely agree with the complain Torry has. End of story. 02-12-2002" - Gerty (07-Dec-2002)
"Well Ian I'm honored that I can be of assistance here. See the ship in this level represents our life and in the same way that this ship is firmly stuck in the unyielding ice our life is stuck in a rut. But despite being stuck we find a bit of movement within our daily routine that briefly gives us the illusion of making progress but someday soon we will find out that we we're running in circles. The motorbike is a stab at our obsession with individual transport. Everybody has to have a car nowadays regardless if they need it or not. Note the bike that is suspended on the upper deck somewhere. Have you noticed that the bike that isn't accessible seems so much more desirable to us. Well this illustrated our inability to be happy with the things we've got. I'm still working on the meaning of those rails. Expect an updated review in the not too distant future." - Dimpfelmoser (12-Oct-2002)
"This is another of those annoying levels that throws you to the desktop every time Lara dies. I just do not understand why people release levels in such a state. Fortunately it is pretty easy and you won't die a lot but don't try to load a save game same result. The ship itself was good looking but there were no puzzles of note a motorbike on land with no where to go with another suspended on ladders in the ship's rigging (??) and with no end trigger well it really is not worth the download." - Torry (02-Sep-2002)
"There is definitely a nice look about the ship in this level frozen solid in an icy ocean but there isn't anything to really do in it. There are a handful of men to kill some levers to pull and a bike with no purpose other than to ride around the glacier but what I have to know is why was I even here? Was I supposed to find something? There weren't even any normal pickups to find let alone a relic or artifact. Maybe Lara thought it was an over 30's singles cruise and was hoping for a little romance!" - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"This is really a pity as this could become a great level if it would be completed but it seems the author has focused his attention on other things by now. The level has a few huge architectural problems where you reach the 'end of the world' lots of thin walls some missing textures and it also does not seem to have a finish trigger nor any real objective to reach. There is a bike that does not serve any purpose and a few levers to pull to open doors and a few SAS to kill. I liked the textures chosen although all those railways seemed a bit out of place." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"I think this level started great in front of a ship and then it goes into something strange. When I reached the top of the ship something got me blind! I don't know what was that some kind of explosions with highly strong lights! Then you can explore the rest of the ship get to some glacial areas and it's better to take a little care inside the ship. There's one point where Lara can get stuck forever (an illegal slope). An easy level I explored everything I could in less than 20 minutes because I haven't found any finish trigger and there was nothing else to do!" - Treeble (21-Jun-2002)
"Well the level itself is not finished but it shows some good promise. I can't wait to see a finished product." - Scott (21-Jun-2002)
"I was anxious to look at this level because we don't see very many ship levels but this wasn't quite what I expected to see. I didn't really understand the tracks that were just everywhere yet went nowhere plus it would have been nice to have more rooms to explore and something to do besides pull switches open doors and shoot soldiers. After about twenty minutes I ran out of places to explore so I guess that was it. With some more work this could be a good level but as it is there's not much to do." - RaiderGirl (21-Jun-2002)
"Big ship. Levers. A few enemies. 'End of the world'. Pointless Motorbike. No ending. Can someone explain to me what this was all about please?" - Orbit Dream (21-Jun-2002)
"I found this level too easy no real challenge. All you have to do is pulling some levers and killing some guards. I don't know what the bike was good for. Besides there are a couple of graphic bugs e.g. missing textures. And I didn't find any finish trigger. The level could have been much better if the author hadn't been that careless. I expected more from a 6.5 MB download size." - Sheevah (21-Jun-2002)
