Reviewer's comments
"Despite the ridiculous amount of guards Lara has to deal with (luckily with a decent amount of firepower) and the huge number of doors that need to be opened to connect the various rooms of the museum, I managed to enjoy myself a great deal in this level. Partly I think the attractive layout was so appealing that I didn’t mind running around and backtracking. The gameplay is actually a lot more varied than just being a shooter, with some nice puzzles/timed elements and the traditional target shoot. I only hope that there will be a continuation of this level as poor Lara has been gassed and left for dead – but we know she’ll be back, don’t we?" - Jay (02-Oct-2024)
"Very good level, never boring. Despite of small size, it packs a lot of lore. Perfect to play between more ambitious projects." - DJ Full (12-Jan-2023)
"This is a fun museum to explore. Plenty of cutscenes are used to build up the narrative between Lara and the cult she is racing to the artifact. The cult can be a bit overwhelming in the beginning, as there is a large horde of them shown which Lara will quickly encounter as she works her way down to the ground floor - I would have saved the larger groups of enemies until Lara got her hands on some stronger weaponry. This is the first time I've seen a bug with pushable objects that move by themselves as Lara pushes another pushable. Thankfully this doesn't break the puzzle, it can still be solved even if a pushable has visually shifted. There's another puzzle that I really liked, in order to get the code to a keypad. I also enjoyed the "race to the secret" against a goon...or at least the walkthrough treats it as a foot race, I chose to hurry to kill the guy before he could close the door. The visuals are strong and do a good job of making it feel like you are actually exploring a museum. The adventure ends with a cliffhanger, at first I thought I had stepped into a trap, but instead it is a sign of more to come. 1 hour 6 minutes." - JesseG (21-Nov-2022)
"It's been a long time since I played such an entertaining adventure with a classic style, I hope to see more from this author in the future. Congratulations!" - Feder (20-Nov-2022)
"A charming and spirited little Egyptian adventure, with a few neat little touches scattered throughout and solid entertainment value. Aside from a slightly buggy pushpiece sequence, a slight overuse of duct crawling and maybe a few too many guards stationed throughout this museum, I had a decently enjoyable time here. The gameplay is constantly fast-moving from start to finish and the highlights for me were the timed sequences and the torch puzzle. The secrets require you to think out of the box a bit (for one of them, you literally have to shoot anything you can) and construction is perfectly sound. It entertains well throughout and hopefully the promised continuation is soon forthcoming." - Ryan (16-Nov-2022)
"Short and OK level. Relatively easy, The beginning was a bit awkward, with cut scene interruptions for story, and the diary popping up multiple times (even though you've already read the new page). I think the diary wasn't really necessary. It might be a help to beginner players, but the difficulty of this level is already low. The gameplay remained somewhat basic, but I enjoyed it. I liked that there were shortcuts to get "back", and how opening the doors connected the disjoint part of the map. The game is relatively heavy on shooting enemies. The ending was very abrupt. I wondered myself whether this was really the end of the level. In summary, a nice level to pass some time, and maybe suited for beginners. It would have been nice if it were a bit longer." - tuxraider (11-Nov-2022)
"I was pleasantly surprised by this hour-long adventure. It doesn't blaze any trails, and the only enemies are guards scattered profusely throughout the area, but it's a fun raid with a few inspired twists. There are a generous eight secrets, several of which you must go out of your way to acquire, and the two timed ones require some quick reflexes on the player's part. The cliffhanger ending tells me the builder has a continuation in mind, and I hope that's the case. The pushblock exercise near the beginning of the level could pose some potential problems as documented in the builder's readme, but in my case one of the pushpieces actually disappeared into the central structure without causing the puzzle to fail. If variety is your spice of life, you won't be disappointed with this one. Recommended." - Phil (11-Nov-2022)
"Gameplay was heavy on regular engagement with enemies (often in groups) with straightforward puzzles with solutions handed to you in the diary. The drumming noise of the many guards' feet got a bit annoying before the initial large group were 'neutralised'. Lots of door opening but nice to see how the map joined up towards the end. Overall a solid but not spectacular effort. It did though end with me wanting to explore what happens when Lara wakes up..." - Adrian (09-Nov-2022)
