Reviewer's comments |
"Another retro level from this builder and this one was considerably less fun for me vs his
first, because you spend about half the time of the 30 minutes it takes diving and swimming
around large bodies of water and endless tunnels, which is rather boring and annoying. The
other half was fun with a nice little torch puzzle, but that hardly compensated.
Architecture overall is quite basic, there is only a single skeleton and it seems the 3rd
secret cannot even be picked up. I generally like Ship levels, but this one can really be
skipped in my opinion." - MichaelP (07-Jul-2024) |

"After some drowning and two extremely long underwater corridors, you soon get into the ship
where things are way better both in visuals and gameplay. Nothing new, but pleasant and
surprisingly immersive enough for the short duration that it lasts. Recommended." - billie2001 (16-Jun-2024) |

"The idea of exploring a submerged wreck is always fascinating. Alphonse managed to recreate a good external and internal environment. The long underwater corridors became familiar after a few attempts. A little less in the long underwater corridors. Excellent use of the flashlight to proceed two surprise crocodiles in an attempt to catch a secret.
By taking the viewfinder, managing to figure out how to open the grate of the secret, by moving a cube on a stained metal track, floor with fire, you could combine it with the revolver and have fun shooting the skeleton's head. A basis for working at a more complex level." - Roberto (06-Jun-2024) |

"The level has a well-planified design, a large cavern with a sunken ship, surrounding water
tunnels and an upper part from which to obtain oxygen. Inside there is an interesting
atmosphere. Floors with water, and waterfalls simulating that the ship is filling with
water. Very immersive. A "basic" design although it must be recognized that his author has
little experience and his future is promising. The audio track when opening the exit door
gave me a gratifying feeling!" - raiderbunsch (03-Jun-2024) |

"The level starts off with an uninspiring whimper, forcing the player to navigate in
succession three virtually identical winding underwater passages (swimming to and from your
objective each time). After that, however, things start to open up a bit as you explore
different areas of the sunken vessel. It's been a long time since I've seen a Hand of Sirius
and a Hand of Orion in a custom level, but you get them both here. The only enemy I recall
is a skeleton that can be dispatched rather easily with the shotgun. The last secret led to
a useless Laser Sight that Lara couldn't access in any event, although in the posted video
she was able to lower herself into the floor hole (indicating that there may be a trick to
it that few players are aware of). Nothing to write home about, but a pleasant enough
diversion." - Phil (23-May-2024) |

"Compared to the absolute beasts that are
Zipangu and Three Kingdoms (I do have yet to
play Alphonse's other two latest offerings),
this feels rather relaxing and maybe a tad
tame, but it's still a pleasant level to
play. The swimming passages near the start
were a bit arduous, but the gameplay
generally picks up from there with a decent
torch puzzle and navigation of the ship's
various different rooms, nothing too
difficult though. The texturing of the ocean
area was a bit crude, but the appearance as
a whole isn't too bad. Not too sure about
the significance of the seemingly
unobtainable Lasersight though." - Ryan (22-May-2024) |

"More appealing to me than the tower, feels like a ship with features in place. I spent 15 minutes swimming around the ship and through long passages before the nice part began though. The second half of the initial torch puzzle is enough to proceed, but if you notice and do the first half earlier, you gonna need to do both halves - yes, being observant is actually punished here. Secrets are a mystery: I got a revolver with 12 ammo but only to pop off a skeleton head, and only after I already felled the enemy with the shotgun - so you can call it a ghost ship, since there's literally one ghost here. All boils down to a rather sloppy execution of a nice level, which is still immersive enough to be recommended." - DJ Full (21-May-2024) |
