"Let's get one thing aside- Shabaobab's levels often have sounds that are incredibly good to
listen to due to how crispy and tingly they sound. I am a firm believer sound is essential
to how a level plays, and he nails it every time! The gameplay mechanics that he introduced,
and that have been present in his previous levels always make for really interest gameplay
cases. The whole level feels chill even with some slightly difficult jumps, and truly, I
cannot tell you anything majorly wrong with this level.
It's fun, its voice acting and cutscenes are good, and throughout my playthrough of it I
could not find any bugs or issues with the gameplay. The geometry trick had me shocked and
really applauding just how much creativity and effort the author had to put to make it all
work properly, which truly shows the dedication to making a really unique experience. That
can be said about most of his levels anyway, though it's something that's always worth to
say." - OblivionJaw (11-Mar-2025) |

"Short, nice Christmas (but not too Christmas-y) level. But I think it will be very difficult to anyone who doesn't know TRLE levels.
- Level design and texturing is up to high standards.
- It's not beginner friendly. It starts with difficult tasks right at the beginning. You need to know many new custom moves that aren't mentioned or taught. Some of them are needed only once. (If you often play new TRLE levels, you may know them. But there's no tutorial or even a note in the readme file.)
- It's difficult even for slightly more advanced players. Complicated platforming, finding not too obvious paths, the jump pads that could catapult Lara anywhere given the right angle (or not), having to climb up again after collecting an inconveniently placed item. The way movements are restricted is sometimes annoying.
- Apart from the starting hut and the fact that Lara collects presents, there isn't much Christmas theming. This can be good or bad. There isn't much eye candy either. It's very gameplay centered.
In summary, this isn't the relaxing little holiday level it appears to be, but a very "technical" level that will give you a workout, unless you're a super expert raider." - tuxraider (03-Jan-2025) |

"Another delightful level for the Advent
season. The collection/exploration style of
gameplay that this level involves might not
be to be everyone's taste, as that is what
the gameplay is all about. Still, I rather
enjoyed myself here, scaling to the top of
this picturesque snowy valley. The scenery
throughout is gorgeous, complemented by some
good usage of the Tibet textures, as well as
some beautiful background audio and charming
object usage. Some of the presents and
seraphs do require a bit of pre-jump
planning beforehand, so it is somewhat
challenging in that respect. Lara's extended
moveset gets a good workout too, so don't
hesitate to read the handy manual included
herein. A pleasurable raid." - Ryan (02-Jan-2025) |

"The reviews to date exhibit a pattern whereby the gameplay takes a back seat to the other
rating categories. This probably indicates a general feeling that the "find all the items"
motif has lost its freshness and should probably be abandoned for future releases. Still,
this seasonal adventure was a delight to play, especially due to the lush and well-lighted
surroundings. The buxom mermaids, too, were a nice added touch. There were posts in the
forum early on complaining of an inability to get the game to run, but all such problems
must have been fixed by the time I downloaded the level, as I experienced no difficulties at
all while playing. The new moves did not slow down the flow of play for me and were
explained quite well by the builder. My only complaint would be all the backtracking that
was required to access the bonus area. A well-done addition to our Advent collection." - Phil (01-Jan-2025) |

"Liked
- This is a collectathon adventure for 20 missing presents to help with Lara's holiday celebration. If you are into that kind of gameplay you will enjoy this festive entry.
- If you can get past the initial learning curve with the unique moveset, you should have fun applying it to all sorts of platforming situations this level throws at you.
- This is a visually strong level, taking place in a tall, snowy valley with plenty of snowmen and mermaids (!) with great use of lighting.
- The optional secret area rewards the player's extra platforming with a fun little encounter and item for Lara to take home as an extra prize.
Time (with secret area): 1 hour 22 minutes | Difficulty: Easy | Rating: 9/10 - Excellent" - JesseG (11-Dec-2024) |

"Actually much longer than I expected at about 40 minutes, but a really well playable and very enjoyable game that makes you explore a huge outside and some slightly smaller inside caves for a lot of boxes and seraphs. None of them is hidden per se (I only missed one seraph in the water the first time around) but the platforming and strategy to get to them was fun. Lovely atmosphere and good usage of sounds and cameras, texturing and lighting are professional as to be expected from this builder. I had a bit of trouble with crashes when entering new areas, don't know if it's just me, but after one or two reloads everything worked fine. A worthy start to the advent season - of course I found the single secret..." - manarch2 (09-Dec-2024) |

"My very first Advent Christmas TRLE, so looking forward to playing. What I liked about the level: 1) Love the springboard platforms! 2) Super cute polarbears that are not enemies is always a good thing in my books. 3) Very nice to be offered a bonus area for collecting all the Seraph items. 4) Absolutely loved the sloped jump sequence in the bonus area. The most fun I had in the entire level. 5) And the waterfall slide down to the only safe patch of water below was awesome! What I didn’t like or thought could be improved: 1) Just a wishlist but would have preferred if the pistols could break the barriers as I didn’t clue in that the shotgun was the only way to proceed. 2) Another wishlist item would be to have the sad snowmen somehow turn happy (perhaps when Lara approaches to make them smile). 3) Would have wished for more guided gameplay to find all the collectibles. The challenging terrain at times made casual exploration somewhat less desirable. 4) With many angled and hard to see edges, it was sometimes difficult to tell which were grabable or not. 5) Sometimes the same textures are climbable in one area but not climbable in others. 6) Got stuck in the bonus area inside a crevice and had to reload to a previous savegame.
Conclusion: A challenging but beautifully textured platform style exploration level. At times difficult to know where to go next but if you don’t mind consulting a walkthrough you will enjoy this level. Due to some difficult jumps, not suitable for beginners." - Lizard Queen (08-Dec-2024) |

"First I scaled the map out of order, then I found the shotgun so I repeated everything because the clue was after the weapon not before a barrier, and I managed to skip some barriers anyway which felt permanent not like a puzzle. Then I missed a white-on-white ledge. When I managed to begin the game, the rest was okay. It surely is immersive, the sounds are very nice, and all the moves are doable though I had difficulty measuring distances and possibly died more frequently than in Shabab's long levels. Mind I played in the late evening, so I advise to start in the afternoon." - DJ Full (07-Dec-2024) |

"A sweet collectathon type of level. The gameplay revolves around collecting presents and
optional seraphs which unlock an extra area in the end. It's fun and very pleasurable. There
are plenty of new moves so you have to keep that in mind. The visuals are pretty much top-
notch and the atmosphere is very lovely. Definitely recommended for the xmas time." - BlackWolfTR (06-Dec-2024) |
