Reviewer's comments
"Maybe my review on the blue site was again too harsh but this level annoyed the hell out of me in the first version - so I held my scores until the patch aaand... not one major problem has been fixed, so I'm rating. tl;dr beautiful but unbeatable without help, let's wait for a fix and meanwhile I'll point you to the Railway Tunnels (trcustoms only as for today) as they're much more solid and yet being addressed right now. Uff..." - DJ Full (22-May-2025)
"I was pleasantly surprised by the playability of this level. For the most part it's well lit, which is fortunate because no flares are available at the beginning and none are provided along the way. There are no enemies, so this is a thinking raider's level. Some of the clues that are provided in the diary entries are a bit on the obscure side, so I've cut to the chase in my written walk by setting forth the solutions in plain English for those who wish to eschew any mental effort. To finish the level you're required to find five Easter Eggs, and if you wish to visit an optional room at the end you'll have to find an additional 10 wrapped-up eggs that register as secrets. There are some quirks here and there that are documented in the walk, but by no means would I classify this as a "difficult" level to play. Recommended for the scenery and the peaceful progression as befits an Easter release." - Phil (07-May-2025)
"This is a nice seasonal level; not too long, not too short, and fun to play, even if maybe a little pedestrian, and some of the activities can feel a little repetitive. I really enjoyed the BtB 2006 Asia vibes that the setting has, and the hunt for the 10 extra eggs to get into the bonus room is a rewarding addition to the quest for the main 5 Eggs to get to the finish. Technically good use made of the diary, but by now it is almost a trademark of this builder that he seems to be the only person who can make sense of the clues he is giving. AT least for some of the puzzles here, I did really not get it and simply resorted to the walkthrough. Definitely worth a look; especially if you want to get in the mood for Easter." - MichaelP (07-May-2025)
"An always welcome Easter level that reminds somewhat on the classic mansion but packs in several nice and two not-so-nice puzzles (due to irritating hints) and platforming. Many items to pick up which was okay due to the limited space and the gameplay is not overly varied, but it's a peaceful and relaxing level save for the two odd puzzles. The architecture and visual design is solid but the game lacks cameras and some more variedly designed areas, the start and the cellar being the sole differences. 10 secret eggs to find along the way that provide you a nice bonus quest and a reward. All in all an enjoyable 30 minute game." - manarch2 (28-Apr-2025)
"A pleasant level with spring vibe and some easter eggs scattered across the level to collect. Mostly focused on puzzles and pretty much that's it except a few quite tricky parkour sequences. Unfortunately, the puzzles are not always clear. The puzzle with the pawns and the world map is very unclear as to where I need to put the pawns. Sure there is a note with a hint but its message doesn't really help to narrow down the exact spots where to put the pawns and as a result I found myself just dragging them across the whole map hoping to activate the triggers. The puzzle with the numbers and the keypad is also unclear. Why would I need to read the ceiling from the right and not from the left? Why exaclty 50? The clock shows different things and how were I supposed to know I have to pick 50 and put it into the keypad? Anyway, the other puzzles were cool and clearer as opposed to the aforementioned ones. I found a glitch where I could go through a wall and fall into the void (in the timed secret). The visuals are pretty. The only remark about them I have is that the initial outdoor area flickers alongside with the trees. In the end, despite some not clear tasks, it's an enjoyable and relatively short raid with a spring vibe to it. Recommended." - BlackWolfTR (20-Apr-2025)
"For an Easter level, this actually had me putting my brain to work (which is proving quite a challenge lately) more than I expected. It began with a surprisingly tricky jump to a rooftop, but after that things began to flow a bit better. I found the execution of the various puzzles a bit mixed though. The painting puzzle was really nicely set up and enjoyable to solve (even the numerous chains didn't complicate things), and I liked the acrobatics required to obtain the ruby as well as the waterskin sequence. But on the other hand, the clues for the map and clock puzzles were a bit unclear and didn't seem to match up to the final solutions, so I did have to resort to trial and error. But the construction is nicely done and the textures are pleasing, plus the monastery itself looks impressive so despite a few objections, this is a worthwhile raid for the Easter season." - Ryan (20-Apr-2025)
