"Proof that persistence pays dividends. That extraordinarily tense escape sequence nearly did
me in, until by chance Lara managed to dart to safety with two(!) seconds remaining and any
frustration that may have kicked in promptly evaporated. Good thing too, because this is an
excellent and thought-provoking game. It does start off comparatively simple (with the
beginning level being almost a training exercise), then builds up nicely as it goes on with
the middle sections being sprinkled with some really neat puzzles and excellent timed
runs/jumping sequences. And yes, the ending sequence will probably leave you breathless. The
surroundings look great too (minus a few repetitively textured parts) and the remixed
original TR tracks really helped add to the atmosphere. Liked the brief return to familiar
territory near the end, too (no spoilers). The boss battles aren't without their challenges
either, but they're not too difficult to overcome in the end. A challenging raid, but
definitely a rewarding one." - Ryan (27-Dec-2025) |

"The game's visuals and music are incredibly beautiful, keeping players completely immersed.
The puzzles in the game are generally not too difficult. However, the puzzle involving
stepping on lettered floor tiles is unfriendly for someone like me who isn't good at
English. In the end, I had to refer to others' walkthroughs to get past it.
The game's action sequences are quite challenging, especially the rolling boulder mechanism.
Dodging several waves of rolling boulders is already tough enough, and then there's an
extremely long jump at the end—I almost gave up on the game here.
The timed escape sequence at the end of the game is also quite difficult. The main issue is
the risk of getting lost, which means you need to keep trying repeatedly." - cheng (04-Dec-2025) |

"I think the author of this game understands the essence that made me a fan of classic Tomb Raider. Because while
progressing I felt a similar way as when discovering the classics. Gameplay’s a solid TEN, it has a focus on platforming
and puzzles, with really challenging moments. I like that the first short level, other than an introduction to the lore, is
also a tutorial for some new moves that will accompany you through the game. I controversially am a fan of the kayak,
so I really appreciated Nifelheim and I think it’s my favorite level of the set.
Graphically it feels like playing a continuation of TR1 remastered, lighting was maybe a bit too bright at times, but I
prefer it over exaggerated darkness. The animated texture that appears in all the secret areas is a nice detail.
Lastly, congratulations to the music creator, all the reimagined tracks were a real pleasure to hear." - Leti (18-Oct-2025) |

"If you want a full storyline with unusual features of challenge, this could be it. I see the level was fixed compared to earlier releases but the engine wasn't updated, and this alone could make the game much more enjoyable as the latest TEN has multiple fixes to mitigate the annoyance. Then you could purely focus on the game's obstacles as much as the builder wanted. What must be praised is sound mixing, as we get the clearest dialogues without the music masking them, what professional builders should learn from. Visually the game hops all over the place from 6 to 10, we get many fancy effects in large scale without much decoration, and then suddenly there's a fully furnished room or a garden. There are many enemies detextured just to one texture, which, though likely intended, might look like a mistake to some players. This style might even suit you, also because it is rare, so I just hope it doesn't become too frequent - but as Jay went in multiple art directions, his next work might yet be a different cup of tea." - DJ Full (16-Oct-2025) |
