"I would not have guessed that the game is unfinished if the author had not mentioned it. Similar to other releases by DHermogenes, the main focus here is on inventive platforming and combat, including epic boss battles. The highlights for me in terms of gameplay were the new moves of Lara that you get to use on later levels, such as the sprint swim and the wall jumps like the ones you see in Prince of Persia games. The wall jumps particularly felt fresh, as I haven’t seen them implemented in other custom levels, and they completely change how you approach platforming. Artistically, the game is excellent, characterized by atmospheric lighting and soundtrack, and many large and magical vistas. I especially loved the massive mountainous areas with the sandstorm effect and middle eastern towers. A small downside for me was that you might have to perform the same set of jumps several times in one of the mountainous areas depending on what order you find different switches. There is an underwater shortcut that you can open to reduce the need for backtracking, although it is not so easy to spot, and I only found it once I had done most of the tasks in the area. In the first level, I also encountered a glitch with the quadbike. Whenever I saved the game in the middle of the quadbike track, Lara would end up inside a wall after loading the game. If I would exit the quadbike before saving and loading, Lara would not appear inside a wall but instead the quadbike would disappear. So, in other words, I had to perform the quadbike ride on one go without saving, which was not a big problem though since the track is not too long and I enjoy the challenge. All in all, this is a very polished and entertaining custom TR game despite being unfinished, and I strongly recommend it." - Samu (18-May-2026)
"Great cinematography and mood shifts, you may like it even unfinished - I bet izzynoodles and such will find it a precious wrap of Diogo's chapter. But would be better if he gave it 20 more minutes of work before getting tired, because the current state bothered me to the point I was too often upset, mostly due to notorious clipping jump sound and missing secret counter - but you will get more fun if you ignore the secrets, as they boost you to 750+ bullets and then you get no uzis until the end game - so the boss fight in the fourth level could be twice shorter also. A level earlier, you may be confused by a disabled puzzle and a jump lever which seems to unlock a medikit but can't be reached. The first problem has two other ways around, the second one - I don't know. Eventually, the sand canyon level delivers everything most of the other segments were missing and gives even more, and it left me more fulfilled than it looked like it's gonna. I do hope this project gets a true full version, even if after years. Meanwhile I'll try that indie game Diogo is making instead." - DJ Full (05-May-2026)
"It’s a pity that the creator has moved on to other fields, which is why some levels were not fully completed. Even so, this work is still truly remarkable. Its vast maps, exquisite environments and textures, clever puzzles, and wonderful soundtrack all make for an impressive experience. The newly added wall-clinging mechanic makes the puzzles more intricate, yet also harder to control—I personally mess up with it quite often. The addition of rushing water currents enriches the gameplay, yet it also ramps up the difficulty significantly, and I’ve struggled repeatedly in these sections. That said, I struggle to get used to the fog system on the maps; I frequently lose my way and end up wandering in circles, though the visual design is undeniably stunning. It’s hard to imagine what this game would be like if it were fully polished and completed. It would surely be even more breathtaking and thrilling." - cheng (04-May-2026)
