| Reviewer's comments |
"A Venice-themed level featuring all its original elements.
The puzzles are straightforward, despite some of the rooms being a bit too large, and you
make quick progress as they aren’t overly complex. It just takes a tad too long to get to
them because, as mentioned, some of the rooms are a little too big.
Nevertheless, the atmosphere is authentic and enjoyable.
Although there are boats in the level, they aren’t needed to solve the puzzles, which makes
one puzzle for opening a gate rather pointless. But I’ll leave it up to each player to make
their own judgement based on their own playing style.
I had a lot of fun with the level. Recommended." - Astraf (10-May-2026) |

"There is actually not much to fault about this level. Very solidly built, everything works
nicely and smoothly, and I spotted only one paper-thin wall. But at the same time, there is
very little to say about it either, as it is so classic Venice that we have all seen it a
hundred times before. The same look and feel, the same bad guys (and dogs), the same
switches and keys, and the same boxes to move around. So much so that the highlight for me
was the one room that deviated from the good old Venice recipe and had you climb around a
big tree for a bit. There are the typical three dragon secrets to find, and it is all over
after just over an hour or so - and for me, that felt almost a bit too lengthy and
repetitive in the cycle of switch, shoot, key, lock, repeat... Still, if you like your
Venice atmosphere, you can do much worse than with this adventure." - MichaelP (10-May-2026) |

"A rather standard jaunt through a TR2 Venice setting, but not without a certain amount of
nostalgic charm. The standout point of this level is undoubtedly the use of enemies. They
often succeeded in getting a scare out of me numerous times and you do have to be strategic
to avoid too much health loss. Luckily I did manage to accumulate enough supplies to make it
through. What does drag the experience down is the rather plodding nature of the gameplay.
The backtracking gets wearying after a while as you pick up the numerous keys (unless I
missed opening up shortcuts), the areas are a bit too vast and bland for their own good and
there's not much in the way of more creative gameplay to break up the feeling of monotony.
The library areas also had too many annoying dark corners for my liking. Not a bad level at
all, but probably more for TR2 or Venice fans." - Ryan (08-May-2026) |

"Cameras aren't many but I didn't have problems because the psychology is good: it always pushed me in the right direction and when there wasn't a hint, there weren't many guesses either. May be it just needs a day with a bit more focus but it's surely balanced in this aspect. It also doses content carefully, leaving room for thought, sometimes a bit too much room so I felt like not much happened - but it might be because it tends to go big, not because of activity distribution. But it also means you should have some chill time here.
Update on version 2: very good job with the botanical garden - how it transformed makes me sure this level can evolve, and I see the ladder climb and triple switch confusion were updated as well. I don't understand draining the canal and removing the boat, because it was satisfying to use it as a shortcut. But you could have both: first a dry garden then collapse to flooded canal, why not." - DJ Full (05-May-2026) |

"The in-game textures are decent overall with a few minor issues, which are probably bugs
from TR2. The soundtrack is just average. The puzzles are fairly simple and relaxing?" - cheng (04-May-2026) |
