Reviewer's comments
"I'd call it a mini adventure because it's short but with all elements of a proper raid. I'd indicate timed runs, but after one or two you can learn. Lighting of course could be better, I'd reduce some predictability and I think some bigger, more ambitious rooms would nicely contrast with the small ones included. I think any raider can tackle this for breakfast." - DJ Full (12-Jul-2026)
"This is a pleasant two-part adventure that could have been released 25 years ago. I assume that TR Maker is Osvaldo, since both are from Mexico and since the latter dropped out back in 2021 and the former carried on from there. The Treasure of Karkun fits the mold characteristic of both builders, with some tricky timed runs that to me cause the gameplay to cross the line over into the "challenging" category. The second and more complicated level is much too dark. Although plenty of flares are provided, more than you'll ever need, I'd much rather be able to see what I'm doing without having to use them on a fairly constant basis. The puzzles, such as they are, are pretty easy to figure out, and any difficulties that the player may face lie mainly in those timed runs I mentioned. Still, with "traditional" TR4 levels having recently been added to the endangered species list, I can recommend this raid with some enthusiasm." - Phil (08-Jul-2026)
"Good, clean, solid raiding in a traditional Egyptian setting. It's been quite a while since I've played something more down-to-Earth, so to speak, so it made rather a welcome change of pace. Admittedly, there's nothing that will set your world alight here (although the flames in a more literal sense might) and some of the backtracking/ladder climbing did get a tad arduous after a while, but everything is put together competently and there's enough variation in the gameplay to prevent proceedings from getting boring. The extended timed sequences were nicely challenging, as were the traps and I did rather like the setup of the hub rooms. The textures and lighting are also done competently, nothing standout but nothing wrong with them as such either. Entertaining enough and worth a look." - Ryan (08-Jul-2026)
"This is a very traditional Tomb Raider game. The puzzles have clear objectives and are highly engaging to solve. Its lighting, textures and soundtrack are all fairly average. Overall, it’s well worth playing." - cheng (06-Jul-2026)
