| Reviewer's comments |
"Unlike the author says, the first level is better, unless he packed them in reverse order. Takes me back to 1999, reminds me of how I liked those pure maps, but also does extra colors in lighting. The second level doesn't get there, mostly because texturing is much plainer, setups repeat too often and there's barely any usage for items. Still, it's obvious even 12 years ago the builder knew what he was doing, so if we get something complete now, it could be much better." - DJ Full (15-Aug-2026) |

"Here's a two-part walk down Memory Lane. I'm always happy to see the release of new TR4
levels, although in this case the work product is more than a decade old and needs
additional polishing. The levels are of approximately equal length, but the first one is by
far the more enjoyable to play. It takes place in a traditional Egyptian setting, and there
are ample enemies to spice up the action. The second level suffers from excessive darkness
and a monotony that sets in about halfway through. You get ammo for weapons that are never
acquired (revolver, uzis, crossbow), and since I don't recall a single enemy in the second
level the lack of weaponry is immaterial anyway. There are too many pushblocks and too many
side passages that lead only to the next key, and I was happy to see it all come to an end.
The builder may have been better advised to beef up the first level and release it as a
stand-alone. Still, I've played worse releases." - Phil (14-Aug-2026) |

"The builder states that he worked on these levels a long time ago and just decide to release
them now, but actually the overall experience isn't a bad one and they're quite playable.
Everything works as it should and there were no major glitches insofar as I could detect
(apart from some missing sounds in the very last "section"). The textures aren't too bad for
the most part, but a repetitive looking in the second level, while lighting was creative in
some places but there were a few annoying arbitrary shadows scattered around. I did find the
gameplay rather mixed too, and towards the end it degenerated a bit into finding an overuse
of levers and swimming down long corridors. I did like the execution of the block puzzles
though. Still, this is a decent effort and not bad for a debut." - Ryan (14-Aug-2026) |

"The gameplay follows a fairly linear progression, but the puzzles are well-designed. Hunting
down the four keys makes for an enjoyable experience. That said, the textures look
noticeably dated, with many repetitive environments, while the music and lighting effects
are merely average." - cheng (10-Aug-2026) |
