Reviewer's comments
"I decided to play the first level that shows up as "Featured level" no matter what and the algorithm decided to troll me. Well, there is one improvement over the original Tinnos - no annoying insects. A big thanks to Dj Full for his wonderful walkthrough that helped me to beat this 3 minute long masterpiece. I guess Cain's level will get featured next...." - Tolle87 (30-Nov-2021)
"Ten minute romp through huge boxy rooms all generally empty sporting paper thin walls where you encounter some Lara statues that look pretty but do nothing, kill two demigods and a harpy. That's it." - Torry (09-Jan-2020)
"A dank, soul of ice and pretty pointless adventure. Too many boxy rooms, overlarge atmosphere. Using DOZY cheat is highly recommended in this case. Thanks!" - Mehrbod (08-Jul-2019)
"In this short level, Lara only needs to advance running or swimming through big empty and square rooms with nothing to do except shoot a couple of demigods. As usual in this kind of levels, many wafer thin walls and the texturization is quite poor, with very stretched textures and all the surfaces with the same texture tile. Not worth to play." - Jose (13-Nov-2017)
"Run and swim in large and empty rooms with repetitive textures. Kill 2 demigods and a harpy. That's what this level is about. Also, it should be in the Cold/Snowy category, not in the Egypt one." - alan (17-Oct-2017)
"Clearly Tinnos is in urgent need of a good road improvement programme, as it definitely looks a lot worse for wear since I was last here. Empty rooms with hardly anything to do other than run through, horrible stretched textures, paper- thin walls and the merest morsel of gameplay. Avoid at all costs!" - Ryan (19-Jul-2016)
"This release(based off the Tinnos levels from TR3), is appallingly much worse than the builder's debut, with literally no redeeming qualities present to justify anyone aside from reviewers checking it out. So unless you fit into that category, avoid at all costs." - Ceamonks890 (11-Jul-2015)
"Not much of a visit really at ten minutes. Mind you, if this is what Tinnos looks like nowadays, you'd probably rather give it a miss altogether. Huge great empty rooms, with stretched, wallpaper like textures and thin walls and nothing much to do except gallop through them, shooting the occasional demigod or harpy. I'd find another place for a sightseeing trip if I were you." - Jay (16-May-2015)
"You can blame Gerty fairly and squarely for this one! She recently sent me a list of older levels which I had somehow missed, and this was on it.Having now played it,I can safely say that the only people who should, even remotely, consider giving this one a go are die-hard (and extremely determined) completists. Fair enough,it's a first effort - but the builder so conclusively misses each and every possible target that it's a bit of a stretch to even give it a single point (I chose the 'camera' category;as the fly-by was actually rather competent.) The textures are not only stretched to the maximum, but the ones chosen clearly indicate that the builder has no idea what it was they were originally intended to represent;while enemy placement is so poor that you can either avoid all the attacks or even (as was the case with the two birds) watch them fly off into the distance without even apparently being aware of your presence.Objects were placed anachronistically, and the lighting was non-existent. And those were just the bits I liked! This is the sort of level that's not even worth a look for a malicious chuckle." - Orbit Dream (07-Oct-2014)
"Boring level, except if you like running across big empty box- like rooms, almost nothing to collect and with only two demigods and a harpy" - Gonxii (23-Sep-2013)
"Even if this level takes 10 minutes to finish, it seems to be too long. Gameplay consists of mindless rush through vast span of rooms, corridors, pools and underwater passages containing no objects in most of them. If we meet some objects, they are multiple copies of the same object (in one room there are several dozens of pillars of the same kind). SUMMARY: This level, even if rated so low, is still overrated, I think." - DJ Full (13-Oct-2010)
"This level has absolutely nothing to do with the Tinnos level from TR3, except that some textures were used. The lighting is flat for the most part, the textures are all wallpapered and stretched, rooms are huge and boxy and there is really nothing to do in this level except run and swim around and shoot 2 demigods and a harpy. The only somewhat interesting part was when 4 Lara clones appeared on a large pedestal, but there was nothing to do with them either, except for looking at them. The level was over quickly, which in this case was a good thing. Not worth the download." - Blue43 (07-Oct-2010)
"There is nothing to do in this level built with the Cleopal Wad and with Tinnos textures, big rooms with stretched textures and wafer thin walls. There is 3 or 4 enemies but you don't really need to deal with them. Aside from the place where 4 Lara's doubles appear, this is a test level which is utterly pointless from a player viewpoint." - eRIC (11-Nov-2008)
"Very short level made up of huge rooms unusually textured in places. You will meet two demigods but there's no need to shoot them as they leave nothing behind just keep running same for the golden harpy although I did hear a raptor screech from it which was . . . different. Some rooms are not that bad really. Like the room with the pyramid type structure. When you stand on the top a golden Lara appears run around some more and more Lara's appear. That was interesting. Then further on we find another Lara this time almost a replica of Lara herself minus some joints and her ponytail. I also liked the Egyptian temple room quirky but attractive. This really should be classed as a demo." - CC (04-Oct-2004)
"Well this wasn't as bad as some. I didn't even try to kill the demigods or the harpy - not with just pistols. Lots of running here and the quadruple Lara's were cool (the one in that strange pool room looked more like a fembot or something -her joints were missing. I ran until it crashed to the desktop." - Lady Lara (29-Dec-2003)
"This is a very quick warming up level. It consists of a demigod and a harpy and 4 Double Laras. It took me a very short time to complete this level. It took me just under 5 minutes and most of that time I was swimming through huge water passages and just basically running into a room and finding the exit. Not much puzzles involved also." - TombRaiderFan (16-Apr-2003)
"This is nothing more than a run and swim through room after room after room. You encounter two demigods and a harpy and that's it." - Momster (03-Dec-2002)
"Well I found the atmosphere strangely pleasing I have to say. The texturing is so repetitive that it seems to be done deliberately and results in a very odd setting. There is not much gameplay there however as you basically rush through the few big boxy rooms with only two demigods and one disorientated harpy to kill along the way. But it doesn't take as long as Mystery of the Great Pyramid and you won't get stuck. I also liked the cloning of Lara at the start of the level; gave me quite a shock really." - Dimpfelmoser (05-Nov-2002)
"Large square empty rooms a couple of demigod fights some Lara statues with no purpose and nothing else don't bother!" - Sash (21-Jun-2002)
"This level is a 5 minute run through huge rooms with ever changing but in itself repetitive texturing without actually anything to do apart from killing two demigods and a banshee along the way. To make it worse most of the room connections show wafer-thin walls. The fun part of the level are two nice effects involving a 'copy' of Lara." - Michael (21-Jun-2002)
"This level has obvious paths to go (each room has a coming path and a going path) in its huge rooms. The textures are stretched and I believe they were auto-textured ." - Treeble (21-Jun-2002)
"If you're looking for a level full of HUGE rooms with absolutely nothing in them and really bad textures battles with two demigods and two banshees and a few Lara copies - Boy are you in luck! I'm just grateful this only lasted five minutes as that was more than enough for this Raider." - RaiderGirl (21-Jun-2002)
"Sorry didn't like this level at all and this is a first. Although it was one of his first levels to build. The later ones are better." - Gerty (21-Jun-2002)
"If you have five minutes to spare and just love large badly textured rooms then this is the level for you! If you don't then don't play this level." - Magnus (21-Jun-2002)
"The texture set that is used is interesting although the textures are not well placed in fact they are very bad. Large rooms with two gems to pick up four demigods to fight and a harpy. You get the shotgun and while picking up the second gem the level ends. Demo or not it isn't really good." - Kristina (21-Jun-2002)
