"A weird level with weird textures, some jumping to do and bike riding. Not recommended." - alan (07-Apr-2024) |

"The setting of this "tomb" is rather
surrealistic, but the wacky mixture of
textures somehow manages to look quite
pleasant. The family photographs of
(presumably) the builder and his wife and
son were a nice homage although a bit out
of place, although realism clearly wasn't
the goal here. There's a bit of fun riding
a motorbike and plenty of jumps and quite
a bit of swimming to be done, but
otherwise there's not a great deal to the
gameplay. I commend the builder for
managing to make the eclectic environments
work, though." - Ryan (17-Dec-2018) |

"Not really the appearance of a tomb, but a citadel. Easy gameplay with no hard tasks, there are a lot of custom textures (family photos) and usually well applied. Few objects to decorate, pull levers to open doors, some swims in pools with yellow waters and an entertaining ride with the bike. The best was the good use of musics here and there and some camera shots to see the opening doors. Enjoyable, even without interesting features." - Jose (07-Jan-2018) |

"If you like bike riding, this is actually a bit of fun since that's mainly what's involved here. The lighting and textures are very individual with what I assume are photos of the builder and family dotted about the place. Mainly worth taking a look at for its individual style rather than any great gaming experience." - Jay (30-Oct-2016) |

"Another weird kjartan level. Like other reviewers I don't
understand what the author was trying to do with the levels,
with all the personal pictures from his life and all. Anyway,
gameplay wise I believe this was the best he came up with it's
not because there were creative puzzles or anything but it
flowed better than the previous ones. I liked the fun
platforming in the big cliff. The strange golden pools were also
interesting. The final jump with the bike was fun even though
the track itself was just surreal blocks floating over
nothingness. Not that nothingness is anything weird with these
levels." - Nomad (28-Oct-2016) |

"The amount of untextured space is possibly the greatest of all the author's levels but as I could expect, the sound and cameras are outstandingly good compared to the rest of the product. Gameplay concentrates on platforming and driving a bike through subsequently opened gates, while smashing some sases on the way. This is all nice though the level could be more complex - I guess Ingvild is Kjartan's wife so I would throw in some electric barbed wires representing a woman's brain, and if that kid is his son I would change the bike to his BMX or something similar. SUMMARY: It's correct to conclude the whole work with an action level, but I would still wish to play more of this builder. Very underdone yet enjoyable." - DJ Full (16-Aug-2015) |

"By this point, I think its abundantly clear that Kjartan simply didn't give a rats about what others thought of his work any more(as the gameplay has got to be the worst its ever been here, with the opportunity to ride a motorbike being the only sort of highlight amongst auto piloted boredom on my part), with other aspects of the general game design not faring much better.
Overall, a more or less bland conclusion to the mediocre career of a builder from the early days of the level editor, that honestly feels better suited for private use by the creator's family, than being readily available to the public at large. Not recommended." - Ceamonks890 (04-May-2015) |

"What to say about this level? It is simplistic, nice, the decor is not ugly and even enough achieved by places, the photos of the family (I assume) who are repeated in the infinity, a nice homage. A nice running in motorbike with pretty jumps and few enemies to crush. In short, an original and very simple level which is quickly played." - Daffy (28-Aug-2009) |

"This was a rather simple and straightforward adventure that mixed a variety of environments together, plus a lot of the textures are actually photos so the atmosphere is poor at best. There are some unusual camera angles, however, and the odd bike course. A few switches and a short maze later you ride the bike into the emptyness. 20 minutes, 1 secret. 08/07" - Treeble (31-Aug-2007) |

"Levels which aim to be surrealistic artsy-fartsy and so on often fall flat with me. Somehow though this one worked. The whole design and atmosphere is great - a mixture of pop art kitsch sentimental snapshots and even some real TR-style rooms (the jumping room near the end). And did anybody else notice that curved street? That's not supposed to happen in the TRLE. Very cool. Gameplay is dead easy but a very neat motorcycle jump is worth noting. A few SAS to deal with most easily run down with the cycle. I wish there was a little more substance in the gameplay so I could rate this higher. It is certainly worth the 25 minutes it takes to play." - Tombaholic (29-Jan-2004) |

"Why does the author insist of using pictures of people in his levels? It was just annoying. The texturing in general is okay though. Not great but it could have been worse. At least it's better than in the author's previous level. The level only lasted for twelve minutes but I was just glad to finish it. There weren't any interesting things to do in it anyway. A short bike-ride some enemies to kill (or just ignore) and some jumps. Overall it was an okay level. But I wouldn't recommend it." - Magnus (29-Jan-2004) |

"I think I may have found a kindred spirit in Kjartan. He seems to have a wonderfully developed sense of the surreal or ridiculous. I loved everything about this level; the bright textures eccentric room design it has it all. Also this level has one of the most bizarre uses of the motorcycle I have seen yet. The only thing I found disappointing was the short duration. I wanted to stay here and see much much more. It is far from being a difficult level; even I finished it in less than an hour of real time but it is quite nicely lit and has just the right amount of my favourite enemies plus a heaping helping of jump and climb obstacles. If you like short colourful levels that do not tax the brain or fingers then this one is for you." - Staticon (21-Aug-2003) |

"It doesn't take long in this level to find out who Ingvild is. I assume by the picture after picture of a certain woman that she is Kjartan's better half and that this is his ode to her for this reason I kind of enjoyed this jaunt into another colourful easy and slightly eclectic rainy afternoon waster of his. Ain't love gorgeous! You get the usual block jump here but this time there is a bike you drive around and constantly get off to open one large gate after another all up it will take you about 20 minutes and will never once have you wondering." - Sash (18-May-2003) |

"Well I'm sorry to say but this level is second-rate for even a beta version. Pushing some buttons and pulling some levers you can get the motorbike and after a bit riding the level finishes. I don't like the textures again but comparing to the previous level even the joints are not complete here mainly on the riding area. There are no added sounds and the enemy consist only of some soldiers." - Obig (10-Apr-2003) |

"Another bright level by Kjartan done mainly in reds and golds with pretty textures interesting rooms and pictures of the author and his/her? family. I have to say that's one of the most beautiful kids I've ever seen. The level itself was very simple with some fun motorcycle rides some doors to open soldiers to run over with the bike and some switches to search for." - RaiderGirl (07-Apr-2003) |

"Much shorter than the prequel at about 25 minutes and mainly a linear run (respectively bike ride) with plenty of family pictures thrown in as textures. I liked the yellow water and thought the missing textures in places should really have been avoided. There is a fun passage with a bit of jumping/climbing and an unnecessary little maze and really not much more to say about this experience." - Michael (05-Apr-2003) |

"This is an 'eccentric' level. You know the sort; crazy custom textures; surreal locations (invariably including generous helpings of blackness); photographs of grinning family members liberally sprinkled over as many walls as possible. I'm sure it was a hilarious gameplay treat for the level builders nearest and dearest but for me it all felt as though I were taking part in some sort of an indulgence that wasn't meant for the general public. There were a few pleasing elements (particularly the use of cameras) but mostly a lot of little irritations. File under the category 'play while stoned'." - Orbit Dream (05-Apr-2003) |

"This level did not click with me. Randomly placed textures and wallpaper effects lots of colours and all not fitting together. Lara pulls a few levers drives the bike shoots a few SAS and that's it. Another level without any logic. Not sure why those are being built? Especially when you get to see more of Kjartan's family than of Lara. The only thing worth mentioning was a camera here annd there a few sounds and at the end Lara bursts into flames with her bike. Not my kind of fun :-(" - Engelchen Lara (05-Apr-2003) |

"Well that was quick and quite easy. I loved the jumping one had to do also I did everything on foot first as there are some levers to pull. The bike ride on it own was not hard not even for me and I hate vehicles. Nice touch all those photos do I take it that is Kjartan or family? There are some places with missing textures and others were paperthin. The only time I died is getting that bike out of its little room as I didn't open the throttle all the way. There is more to do than that bike ride though. Enemies SAS soldiers and one pesky bat. And hitting that finishing trigger Lara was ablaze poor girl. 01-04-2004" - Gerty (03-Apr-2003) |

"A nice level but with no puzzles and pictures with a nice couple and a cute little boy. The textures are colourful and interesting but somehow mixed so the outcome is a bit awkward. Apart from levers a jump switch and the bike to perform a few jumps not much else do here. An easy maze and underwater areas to visit like the author's previous level are repeated. One brown door didn't seem to open but with a few steps inside the room it did so I guess we have a trigger problem here. Twenty minutes with few SAS guards to kill and no feeling of accomplishment." - Kristina (31-Mar-2003) |
