THE LEGEND OF HAWKSMOOR (DEMO) - ST SAVIOUR'S WHARF

[Note] No compass in this level so I’ll try to show the hints to proceed the best I can. [End note]

 

First Secret

Jump into the water and explore this large underwater area to find 3 X harpoons, flares, a large medipack and 2 X shotgun shells near the walls all around. Now climb one of those small ledges with ladders and explore the catwalk to find more flares and also a dog. Climb the upper gray ledge/bridge with the movable block at the top and move it against the wall, climb it, turn right and take a running jump to the higher ledge (the blue metal surface is climbable) with the SECRET #1: a Blue Artifact (sorry but in my game the names of the items don’t appear) and the Shotgun. Jump back onto the grated block and cross the bridge to the other side of the canal.

 

Timed Run to the Rooftops

Turn right and advance to find a courtyard, run diagonally to the corridor next to the Britannic flag and shoot a dog and a mercenary, he will drop M16 clips; there are flares at the end of the corridor too. Forget the opening leading to a dark room for now and ago out and always to your right to eventually find another courtyard with big trees, shoot the white window in the building to your left and enter. Inside, shoot the rats and push the grated block to the corner to get access to the niche with the switch, pull it to raise several timed trapdoors and quickly jump from trapdoor to trapdoor to the one with the ladder and climb it to the rooftops.

 

On the Rooftops

Shoot a crow and if you want pickups slide to the ledge with the M16 clips and the small medipack, approach to the border and jump to the sloped side of the roof, slide/grab the edge and shimmy left until you can pull up, advance a bit and take a running jump to grab the edge of the roof of the nearby building, pull up and shoot another crow. Drop onto the balcony with the metal fences and pull the switch to open a trapdoor somewhere. To go down approach to the part of the balcony with the missing fence, jump onto the narrow white wall below and from here to ground floor.

 

The Red Key & the Crowbar

Now it’s time to go back to the corridor where the dog and the mercenary came from and visit that dark room. Light a flare to locate the open trapdoor, climb down the ladder, shoot the rats and look for the Red Key near the crates. Go back outside, return to the water channel, cross the bridge to the other side and drop left onto the wooden ledge to find the keyhole; use the key to raise the small grate and go through the crawlspace until you reach a room with a dangerous water corridor (because the current and the fan at the end) so grab the monkeyswing and move yourself to the niche with the switch to raise trapdoors; continue swinging to find another water area. This time the water is safe, so run straight ahead to the corner with the flares and look for a hole in the floor to swim through; pick up the Crowbar at the end and swim outside to the water channel.

 

The Crank

Climb back up to the wooden ledges and even higher to the gray bridge, turn around and jump to the wooden balconies, pick up M16 clips, shoot the white window and enter. In this room beware of the falling debris in several places, next to the wall opposite the entrance pick up a small medipack and flares; finally use the crowbar to open the big double doors (retrieve the crowbar each time you use it). In the next room climb up the ladder but only to the first floor, shoot a rat, pick up the grenades in the far corner and open the doors next to the ladder, shoot another rat, jump to the nearby ledge and take a running jump to the grated trapdoor attached to the central pillar; pick up a sort of Crank there. Go back to the previous room.

 

Building with the Long Ladder

Climb up the ladder to the upper floor and pick up shotgun shells on the green crates, shoot the windows, go outside (left one) and pick up the M16 Gun; look left and right to note the lowered trapdoors. Go inside and save the game in front of the timed switch; pull it and go out from the right window, jump to the now raised trapdoor and to the next wooden ledge, shoot the window to your right and dispatch the mercenaries in the next room; pick up the small medipack and 2 X M16 ammo they dropped. Use the crowbar to open the double doors to create a shortcut to the previous room and move the grated block in the corner onto the marked tile in the floor (a block falls in the room at the bottom) so you can climb it and take a running jump to grab the ladder; climb it to the top.

 

Second Secret

Shoot two crows and approach to the nearby border of the roof to see a breakable tile; to get the next secret (tricky tasks) slide, quickly curve right before the tile collapses and run off the edge to land onto the next tile, wait to fall onto the next tile below and quickly take a standing jump to the last one to safety fall onto the balcony with the SECRET #2: a Red Artifact, the Harpoon Gun and flares. Drop down to the ledge with the dead dog and make your way to go back up to the very top of the roof via the gray bridge and the ladders (there is another way starting from the room with the fallen debris from the grated box you released before).

 

Third Secret

Once up again, explore the rooftops to get flares, a large medipack and shotgun shells; next to those shells there is a crane, use the crank in it to release another of those grated boxes, jump to the sloped roof to your left, shimmy right almost to the end and safely drop onto the raised tile below. In this roof pick up the shotgun shells, the flares and the SECRET #3: a Pink Artifact. Pull the switch to raise a trapdoor so you can go back to the upper room and climb down the ladder to the very bottom, to the room with the fallen debris.

 

A Metal Key

Go outside to the balconies and left to the bridge with the movable box, now jump to the next balconies and to a second bridge with another movable box you released time ago when you used the crank (a mercenary is patrolling the lower balconies); push it once and pick up the Metal Key that was underneath; if you want some pickups, cross the bridge and jump to the ledge in the left side to get shotgun shells and M16 clips. Anyway go inside the building again and in the room with the ladder use the key to open the nearby double doors and also raise a bridge outside; cross the bridge and use the switch to raise a big bars door in the channel.

 

Releasing the Boat

It’s time to go all the way back up to the very top of of the same building a last time as you did before; once at the top of the second ladder, turn left and approach to the border of the roof to see a balcony with a zip-line; use it to cross the channel and pick up shotgun shells and flares on the green crates, climb down the ladder and use the nearby switch to release the Boat. Jump into the water and mount.

 

Last Secret

Go outside (some mercenaries have appeared in the wooden ledges) and drive always to the left until you find an opening with a narrow corridor, go through and stop in the corner with the last light, jump into the water (Left or Right Arrow + End) and look for an underwater opening, swim through to the very end and use the harpoon gun to break the grate in front of the fan to get the SECRET #4: a Yellow Artifact. Swim back to the boat, mount and continue driving against the fan in the darkness to finish the level.
