"Amazing game! One of my favorites Tomb Raider games. Every chapter is absolutly lovely. A
lot of great ideas. A complete history. Every part of the game is art. My onlyn complaining
is the dark, too dark for me. Secrets are very nice, some very clever, but if you want to
get secrets you must look in the darkest dark. Some parts of the game are very challenging,
but I appreciate a lot that you don´t need to break the keyboard to solve the game. Thank
you very much and I really want to play more games from you." - Juan Carlos (27-Mar-2026) |

"This TRLE custom level really impressed me. For the first time in a very long while, I got those classic Tomb Raider vibes again and just wanted to keep playing. Since I did not want to simply rush through it and was actively looking for secrets, I ended up spending almost 8 hours with the game in total.
I found the difficulty quite fair overall, apart from a few jumping and timed sections. Because of those few harder jumps, I would rate the difficulty somewhere between 3 and 4; otherwise, it would clearly be a 3.
All in all, I enjoyed this custom level more than almost any other one I have played in a long time. Definitely recommended :)" - yinyang4 (23-Mar-2026) |

"I loved this! It's a long, long set of levels which take you through various locations hunting for various blue pieces of relicary.
It's the variation that makes it so good, and the different locales are smashing. Occasionally I found myself stuck with no clue as to where to go next and so needed to check the YouTube walkthrough, but then I was on my way again!
I did get worried at one point near the end that it was getting impossible as the monster things firing bolts from their tails were hard to kill except with the Desert Eagle, and I didn't have enough ammo for that! I also didn't have the rocket launcher, I don't know where that was!
I think right at the very end, I needed the launcher and more ammo as the multitude of enemies all firing at you as you try and figure out where to go was just too much ... if you're going to have that many enemies at one time, the route needs to be obvious, otherwise you spend all your time dying with no time to try and figure out what to do!
I actually gave up at the end as well ... as I say, not enough ammo or weapons to try and deal with everything thrown at Lara! But that's fine! I checked the YouTube to see where it went and it was the final runthrough ... so I didn't miss anything important :)
Loved the textures and lighting, though it was a little dark at times - there were lots of flares though - and I have to give a shout out to the ladies in the club who come out and start killing the bad guys ... I thought that was hilarious!
I marked down the enemies/objects/secrets as they were hard to locate and the enemies were perhaps a little on the hard side to kill when you didn't have all the weapons ... but it was a good variance of the things!
A great month or so playing through it all ... good job by the builder(s)!!" - David (19-Mar-2026) |

"Here's a mammoth TR3 set that could easily rank as an "official" replacement game. I vaguely
remember playing the individual sets of this "remake" (which is underselling it a bit) years
ago, and a couple of areas looked structurally familiar but the gameplay seemed totally
fresh and new. It's definitely an invigorating raid throughout, and the difficulty level is
fairly challenging but not frustrating from start to finish. So I wouldn't class this game
as too difficult if you have reasonable raiding experience. The variety of gameplay is
refreshing and welcome, and you get a bit of everything across all 15 levels including some
decent puzzling action, traps and timed sequences. The final boss level is somewhat of an
adrenaline rush, but by then you should have more than enough health supplies to just grin
and bear the onslaught. The environments are lovingly crafted in each location, the
atmosphere is excellent and the music files are put to good use. My only (minor) gripe was
that the dark corners seemed a little overdone at times, and the lighting was rather dim in
the first couple of levels but did improve somewhat after that. Aside from those, a near-
perfect game and not to be missed." - Ryan (07-Mar-2026) |

"This is truly a marathon compilation which required more than 17 hours of net gaming time
while I was writing a walkthrough. I played and reviewed the original release many years ago
but of course have no memory of that now, so I have no idea what has been changed or deleted
or added. However, I take issue with the "very challenging" label, as even the tough parts
here can be managed with a little perseverance. The level of difficulty doesn't even
approach that of a typical Neltharion level, for example. Ample quantities of offensive and
defensive supplies are provided as well. I stockpiled much of the heavier armament for later
use, expecting that it would be needed near the end, but those moments never came. You get a
wide variety of playing environments and tasks with these 15 levels, and I never got this
"when will it ever end" feeling while I was playing. High recommendations." - Phil (07-Mar-2026) |

"It's a really good remake (I have played the original years ago, but need to replay it)
Gameplay is straight-forward and not really complex, it's definitely for every kind of
player imho, some fights might a little overwhelming to some tho. Some areas appear a little
dark and I had to adjust gamma but it wasn't too bad. Recommended." - Mahetus (27-Feb-2026) |

"A very long TR3 adventure. We get to explore 16 levels. Lots of them are base type, but
there are also tombs and temples. The gameplay is decent. There are numerous nice puzzles
and tasks. However, I feel like lots of areas didn't use their potential fully and appeared
to me as underwhelming; I wish some of them had been more elaborate. The game is also very
straight-forward and barely offers more than one path, which might be boring for some. The
visuals are mostly fine, bar occasional rooms that look a tad lackluster because of their
simplicity. All in all, an enjoyable and quite easy, but huge, TR3 custom level.
Recommended." - BlackWolfTR (26-Feb-2026) |

"I too had not played the original 3 episode level sets by Boris, but this remake obviously
had some great source material. Even so this magnus opus is indeed epic...in content and
in length. Too many wonderful elements to list individually, but the gameplay and varied
locations many with great vistas and the challenging secrets were high lights. If it
weren't for the dark lighting and the sound (which would regularly go on a 1 second repeat
of the music like the gramophone needle had stuck!) it would get perfect scores. Still very
much recommended...just be sure you have 12+ hours to spare for a great raid :-)" - Adrian (23-Feb-2026) |

"This Tomb Raider 3 release is a remake of a set that came out a long time ago; I haven't played the original though I can't properly compare it, although comparing areas in the images it seems to be a notable improvement visually. The structure here is somewhat like TR3 itself, with five different locations you visit (although in fully linear order), but it's much more lop-sided as the start and end locations are much longer than the rest. Each location makes good use of various texture sets, and some custom content to sell the themes. There are also plenty of major enemy visual changes to create unique looking enemies with TR3's roster, as well as a lot of custom objects to further support the themes. The lighting is generally good, although the weakest aspect at times despite looking great most of the time, especially with how weirdly dark the last couple of levels are (it seems like it's going for some sort of oppressive fog effect, but it's a little overdone).
The original set was in three parts, with the first being in Russia, the second being various bits of globe-trotting for artifacts, and the final part being a return to somewhere unnamed in Eastern Europe. The Russia setting is actually the longest part though, with it comprising around half the maps in the set, then, in the second part, each section is one to two levels, and the final part is a bit longer but still much shorter than the Russia part. While the structure is a little odd on the surface, it mostly feels fine, although some of the middle parts would feel smoother with an extra level to lead into the main location (from some cut content shown in the credits, it seems this was planned, but presumably cut for time/complexity reasons). The difficulty curve is well executed and part of what makes the structure not feel too strange; there's a nice gradual ramping of difficulty as you progress, with one or two trickier set-pieces along the way, and the last couple of levels get quite brutal, although it's still quite manageable. The combat also follows this, with the number and difficulty of enemies increasing as it goes, along with a couple of decent boss fights, but you also get plenty of ammo and health to deal with them.
I had a bug where loading saves sometimes broke the music and made it constantly replay the start, but just restarting the game fixed it. There's a bit of story implemented with occasional voice acting, but not very often (there's actually a far more detailed story on the level page for each of the old releases, but it also spoils the locations along with being somewhat broken English, so it's better to read in retrospect), your actions do come together to convey a general story from playing through though, with you finding a different version of the TR3 meteor artifacts to stop a returned Natla and Sophia. Another great release, as expected from Feder, and it works as a great set even without the context of playing the original version." - Mman (21-Feb-2026) |

"That was a great adventure through many parts of the Tomb Raider saga.
There are countless actions, countless puzzles, and many fights that you have to overcome before reaching the end. The ending was a bit stressful, but very well designed. Apart from the lighting, which was simply too dark in many parts, there is hardly anything to criticize from my point of view.
A masterpiece!" - nad (05-Feb-2026) |

"Great level!
I particularly enjoyed the levels in Russia.
If you like Tomb Raider III, you'll love this one!" - Amashiranui (01-Feb-2026) |

"Stamp of approval. Not sure when he had the time to build it but the time played won't be wasted, especially if you're into ancient domains prequeled with industrial and city scenery - a matching follow-up for his Templar's Secret and AgentXP's TR3OD. Puzzles are mostly classic but they throw in surprises frequently enough. Maaaaybe I'd calibrate the lighting a bit better because I kept changing the gamma for every level." - DJ Full (01-Feb-2026) |

"I haven’t played the original version, but this remake is absolutely fantastic. Its puzzle
design is brilliant—whether it’s the elevating chandeliers, moving spiked walls, grabbable
ropes, and more. The gameplay is equally great, with plenty of timed switches scattered
throughout, yet they’re thankfully not overly challenging and usually come with hints,
making the game really player-friendly.
The enemy design is also spot-on, with foes growing more powerful as you progress through
the game. The environmental and object design is even perfect; every location, be it the
lab, the city, the underground, and so on, is filled with details that fit the setting
perfectly.
The soundtrack actually fits the atmosphere well enough, but some tracks loop incessantly—
like the music for secret areas, for instance. It would be absolutely perfect if this issue
could be fixed. As for the final boss, it was a bit of a letdown: Lara took it down with
just two shots, and I’d expected an epic battle. Fortunately, the mini-bosses are really
well-done and add a great deal of flair to the game.
Take around 10 hours to finish." - cheng (31-Jan-2026) |
