| Reviewer's comments |
"One of the most beautiful and amazing games I have played. Atmosphere is perfect, the
history is great. An excellent work, an artistic work! If you go for the first and second
endings is not so hard. But if you want the third endindg you must find everything. Secrets
(letters) are very important to be able to get the last ending. I must admit I had to look
for the solution in order to find the last secret. obviously is not so nice to be looking
for hidden switches when a monster is trying to kill you, but that is and is part of the
challenging. I loved this game. Thanks a lot to the author." - Juan Carlos (15-Apr-2026) |

"This is a solid level with eerie atmosphere and TR5 Ireland aesthetics which puts a lot of
emphasis on storytelling. The game is non-linear and revolves mostly around exploration,
finding items, and running back and forth quite a bit, which can feel a little slow at times
if you prefer more action-oriented gameplay. There are few puzzles involving push blocks and
switches, and some traps, such as boulders that are used effectively to create intense
situations. However, the challenge comes primarily from navigating the levels, paying
attention to surroundings, and figuring out where you are supposed to go. I didn’t find the
game particularly difficult though, and I only got stuck for short moments and had to rely
on a walkthrough once. In terms of visuals, the author did a good job crafting atmospheric
locations regardless of the flat lighting and somewhat simplistic room design. I did also
appreciate the infinite flares which helped a lot considering that the lighting is very
dark. Overall, it is a very good level and a great choice especially if you are looking for
exploration-based and atmospheric experience rather than fast-paced action." - Samu (15-Apr-2026) |

"This game feels seriously underrated to me, obviously due to the lighting. It's not that
it's not sufficient, we have infinite flares, but it is too dull. Increasing the brightness
doesn't really fix it, but increasing the contrast of my monitor made it look perfect. On
the other hand, although I did everything in the worst possible order, the fun factor was
20/10! Great Ireland-themed atmosphere. It did even have a story that you would care about." - billie2001 (14-Apr-2026) |

"As far as accomplishing a spooky atmosphere goes, this level gets it just right. The Black
Isle audio files really help to sell the horror setting (as well being among my favourites),
and in conjunction with some rather eerie flybys, it does draw you in to the environment and
the builder nailed it in that respect. What somewhat let things down in the visibility area
was the somewhat excessive darkness (as other reviewers have mentioned). Yes, you have
unlimited flares and yes, it's more the indoor areas that are an issue, but I did still find
myself straining my eyes to peek around dark corners and locate items, which got wearying
quite quickly. Surprisingly, the rogue werewolf didn't prove too much of a hazard and I was
therefore able to complete my tasks without much imminent danger at all. Otherwise, I found
the gameplay to be pitched just right for me. Moderately challenging with some occasional
more trickier bits sprinkled in. I wasn't entirely sold on the multiple ending gambit, so I
did avoid killing the werewolf so I could experience everything, but maybe the endings could
be more divergent? Just a thought. Still worth a look on a dark, cold night." - Ryan (27-Mar-2026) |

"My thoughts about this level closely mirror David's. The main course consists of three
interlocking levels that really constitute one playing environment where you go back and
forth between them ad infinitum until you accomplish the main objective of acquiring 10
letters. The idea of providing unlimited flares to compensate for the unrelenting darkness
didn't make much sense to me. The underlying logic is not unlike ordering a cheeseburger and
scraping off the cheese before eating it. Still, the addictive nature of Tomb Raider being
what it is, I kept plowing forward and managed to keep myself moderately entertained during
what amounts to a full-fledged bonus level that you never get to enjoy if you shoot one of
those ahmets (called werewolves here) after acquiring the revolver and accompanying silver
bullets and thus end the game prematurely. This builder certainly knows how to put together
a well-constructed game, but whether his work product is fun to play is another matter
altogether. Hopefully he'll take these reviews to heart and give us something next time that
has more player-friendly lighting and constitutes a level to be enjoyed rather than endured." - Phil (26-Mar-2026) |

"I tried this level as it seemed interesting ... but I soon realised it's of a type I dislike.
It's a vast, sprawling set of different environments where you can move from one to another with no issue, BUT this means you have literally everywhere to try and find what you're looking for, with no clues as to how many you're after, or even what you are looking for ... (with the crosses you know how many, and can of course check how many you have, but if you're missing some, you have the entire game to have to go back over to try and recheck everywhere).
It's also far too dark - you can't see anything most of the time without a flare (to be fair the flares are unlimited, but why not just make the place more illuminated!) and so you're running around in undergound tunnel mazes without any reference points and without knowing if you have got all the items you need there or not.
There's a 'switch hole' thing and the first one I tried released bugs ... don't want them, so I decided not to try any others ... but then realised on checking the video walkthrough that you have to as there are needed pickups in the others ... which is a pain.
Then a werewolf thing gets released, and chases you forever after. So not only are you having to figure out things in the dark, there's this thing there too ... which I didn't like. You have no weapons, so no way to kill it at this point (I assume the silver crosses will make ammo for some weapon as yet unfound ...)
But the 'letters' you have to find ... no idea how many there are, so no idea if you have them all or not, and then there's doors that open and you get a completely black cutscreen as it's too dark and you can't see what has opened and everywhere looks the same so you have no clue where to go.
Sorry to the builder(s) but this is not for me so I'm abandoning early. It seems that the only way to play it is by following the video walkthrough to see where to go and what to do, but that robs it of all the fun for me." - David (23-Mar-2026) |

""While this TRLE has interesting concepts and solid ideas, the constant backtracking ruins
the initial enjoyment. The experience is quite confusing due to the lack of solid direction;
the game is so dark that you can hardly see where you're going or which ledges are
climbable. This led to me being stuck for an hour and 20 minutes. The level would benefit
greatly from better signaling, such as Lara’s head-tracking for that practically invisible
key on the ground. It’s a good game overall, but it needs a quality-of-life update. I
finished in 1h40m with 6 secrets and one ending. Only recommended for experienced players."" - PedroCroft_ (21-Mar-2026) |

"A well-thought-out, entertaining, and attractive level with plenty to do and collect. You should find the ten notes (Secrets) because the bonus level is almost better than the first three, which should not detract from the quality of those three. The atmosphere of the game and the music go well together, the entire area is easy to navigate, and the enemies are not too difficult to defeat.
All in all, a successful level that is highly recommended." - nad (19-Mar-2026) |

"A complete plot to satisfy every Ireland fan if the voices are made louder and the lighting less dull - I had to up my brightness from 18% to 100%, what I almost only do for the remasters, also a big problem is the less intense contrast from the cloudy sky - a case of "IRL vs painting", when you have to go a bit unreal so it feels real. Fix that and I'll give an extra point." - DJ Full (18-Mar-2026) |
 |
"The graphics are extremely delicate and very similar to Tomb Raider 5, including the music
and atmosphere. The puzzles are not too difficult, and there are hardly any enemies. I only
saw one ending." - cheng (16-Mar-2026) |
